Now Iain, who has found fame as the voice of the show, has spoken about how brilliant the 2019 series was – but that show bosses weren’t forced to try and create drama for a change.
‘Normally we want to break couples up but this year no one wanted to stay together,’ he said of the Casa Amor twist which led to splits between Curtis and Amy Hart, Michael and Amber Gill and Jordan Hames and Anna Vakili.
Speaking to Christine Bleakley on ITV show Lorraine, he added: ‘We thought we weren’t going to have four couples for the final at one point, just a bunch of bitter people giving daggers to each other.’
Love Island winners Greg O’Shea and Amber Gill (Picture; Rex)
A whopping 3.63 million viewers tuned in to the Love Island final to watch Amber and Greg O’Shea crowned the king and queen of the villa this summer.
The Love Island final 2019 was the most watched episode of the entire series – and the most watched final ever – with ITV confirming a further 400,000 viewers streamed the episode non-TV devices.
There were 42 episodes of the show this year, and the fifth season averaged 5.7million viewers based on consolidated viewers – the number of people who watched the show within seven days of original broadcast.
That figure is up by 600k viewers year on year with the peak episodes breaking the six million viewers mark.
The series four final bought in 3.55 million overnight viewers, series three 2.6 million and series two 1.3 million.

‘I have a new show that is SAFE AND HAPPY! You’ll love it! #HappyPlace Love y’all!’
At the TCA Summer Press Tour, CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl addressed the allegations made against Harmon, who plays Leroy Jethro Gibbs on NCIS.

Kahl said: ‘I can’t speak to to what she’s addressing in her tweets. She came to us with a workplace concern, we immediately investigated it and resolved it to everyone’s satisfaction, and we’re very happy to have her on the air with us this year.’
Pauley will be on CBS later this year on the sitcom Broke alongside Jane The Virgin’s Jaime Camil, with Kahl adding: ‘I don’t think she’d be back with us if she had huge concerns.’
Following Perrette’s announcement that she was leaving NCIS after 15 seasons as Abby, she alleged she had suffered numerous assaults on set, tweeting:
‘It’s horrifying. I left. Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone.’
Pauley alleged she was ‘terrified’ of Mark (Picture: CBS)
It was claimed that the row between Harmon and Perrette began after Harmon’s dog allegedly bit a crew member in October 2016, with the man left needing 16 stitches.
Perrette shared a picture of the crew member’s injury and tweeted: ‘You think I didn’t expect blow back? You got me wrong. THIS happened To my crew member and I fought like hell to keep it from happening again! To protect my crew!
‘And then I was physically assaulted for saying NO!? and I lost my job.’
CBS said at the time: ‘Pauley Perrette had a terrific run on NCIS and we are all going to miss her.
‘Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern. We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows.’
NCIS’s 16th series wrapped in May, with a 17th season already confirmed.

Ever since Monster Hunter: World became a global hit last year Capcom has been on a roll, with the Resident Evil 2 remake and Devil May Cry 5 helping them record one of their most successful, and lucrative, years ever.
But they had an unusually quiet E3 this year, with only Iceborne on show, and there’s no real clue what they’re working on next – other than that a Resident Evil 3 remake now seems inevitable.
That may be what they’re asking fans in Japan to help out with at the moment, although it’s probably best not to assume anything given the vagueness of the email.
As translated by fan site Biohaze, Capcom has sent out emails in Japan to ask for ‘Biohazard Ambassadors’ (Biohazard is the Japanese name for Resident Evil) to help test a game that’s currently in development.
That does imply it’s a Resident Evil game, although technically the Capcom Division 1 studio also works on Devil May Cry and would likely also be involved in the much hoped for Dino Crisis remake.
Capcom are asking for people who have played Resident Evil before, so the chances that it’s a new Resi game of some sort seems very high.
There have been plenty of spin-offs, of varying quality, over the years though so it’s not necessarily the Resident Evil 3 remake. Indeed, it’s probably about time we started hearing about Resident Evil 8, which hasn’t even been mentioned by Capcom yet.
According to the email the playtesting will happen on September 8 or 9, which is probably a bit too close to the Tokyo Game Show on 12 September to hope for an annoucement there.
Peaky Blinders’ accents are so strong the US is struggling to understand (Picture: BBC)
Peaky Blinders’ writer Steven Knight has revealed that US fans of the show often have to use subtitles due to the thick Birmingham accents of the gangster squad.
Tommy and Arthur Shelby, plus the rest of the Shelby clan, have become known for their heavy accents and while the UK might just about have a handle on it, it appears the world just isn’t ready for the Brummie dialect.
‘It’s quite funny that in the United States quite a lot of people watch it with subtitles on.’
Well, fans better pull up their boots and dust off their flatcaps as we’re just weeks away from the fifth series of the show dropping.
Picking up on the cusp of the Wall Street crash of 1929, the family have a hell of a lot to be dealing with, while Tommy (Cillian Murphy) starts life as a politician down in Westminster.
The family’s Birmingham roots have left them with one of the most distinctive accents on TV (Picture: BBC)
The first trailer teased explosive trouble for the war veteran, as he struggles to handle the pressure of balancing his political work, family life and Shelby family business.
But that could all be about to get worse after he’s introduced to Oswald Mosley, who seems to offer him an alternative route that could consequentially cause trouble for the entire UK.
‘I think the amazing thing about this particular series is that this season, Tommy’s sort of out of his comfort zone,’ Sam said at the BFI screening of the new series.
‘You know, he’s playing a big boys game now and he’s playing chess. Oswald Mosely is someone who grew up playing chess, so it’s the big fish in the small pond kind of going into the ocean all of a sudden.’
‘Oswald Mosely is still very young and inexperienced in some respects,’ Sam continued. ‘But at the same time a lot more experienced than Tommy.
‘So I think the two of them enjoy the challenge of trying to outwit one another and using each other to better themselves and to kind of get ahead.’
Following rave reviews of the first episode in the show’s Birmingham home in June, the city is now celebrating with a Peaky Blinders festival.
Peaky Blinders returns soon on BBC One.

Kelly Brook has said that Jason Statham was ‘skint’ when she dated him, bringing us right back to 2001 with a jolt.
This was not what we expected to hear when we’re bleary eyed in the morning, Kel.
The trouble started when former Strictly Come Dancing star Ashley Roberts describing him as a ‘multi-millionaire action hero with a supermodel fiancée, and the star of one of the biggest franchises in the world.’
Poor Kelly simply couldn’t deal with hearing about all that as she visibly squirmed.
‘Urgh! Can we just stop? All the things you do not want to hear about an ex-boyfriend,’ she said on Heart Radio.
Repeating Ashley’s comments, she mimicked putting a gun to her head and told the Pussycat Dolls star: ‘Don’t go there. He was skint when I was there, trust me.’
After the end of their six-year relationship, Kelly went on to date Titanic actor Billy Zane for four years but they called time on their engagement in 2008.
Kelly and Jason dated for six years (Picture: FilmMagic)
Kelly then started a relationship with British rugby star Thom Evans and he is said to have proposed in 2010 before splitting with the model in 2013.
Lastly, Kelly’s former boyfriend, Gladiators star David McIntosh, popped the question in March 2014 after they had dated for just one month.
However, the couple’s break-up famously became bitter with David slamming Kelly on social media.
Speaking on her Heart FM radio show last year, Kelly revealed: ‘I’ve not really had, I mean this is a bit mean to say but I’m going to be honest – I haven’t really had any memorable engagements. No like big grand gestures of like of romance or anything.
‘So in my mind if I do ever get engaged again it will be the one and I will go the whole way and get married, by the way.’
‘I was in Miami on a photoshoot and we were all scheduled to fly home and we saw Leonardo DiCaprio in one of the cabanas by the pool after we’d wrapped shooting – and he invited us all out and we said “well we can’t, we’ve got to fly home”,’ she recalled.
‘So him and his mates organised for all of us to stay in a hotel. So we cancelled our flights and just went out all night – and he opened a nightclub especially for him and everyone was there from…Bradley Cooper…Jonah Hill was there, Gerard Butler was there, it was just beyond!’
Ah, the lifestyles of the rich and the famous. Or maybe just the famous, in Jason’s case.

Now, police have revealed that Thompson’s death was caught on camera, although will never be released to the public.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that a camera was mounted to the YouTuber’s paramotor, and shows exactly how he died.
The footage allegedly shows Grant’s parachute malfunctioning due to a ‘change in the updraft’, and the star appeared to know something had gone wrong as he lost altitude in ‘rapid fashion’.
Sources added that Grant did deploy his reserve parachute, but it was too late.

Thompson died on impact, less than four seconds after the parachute problem occurred.
Nate and Calli have also set up a fundraiser for the Grant Thompson Memorial Outward Bound Scholarship.
Outward Bound USA is a network of schools that allows children to learn in experiential environments from city classrooms to remote wilderness settings.
Grant’s death was announced on his social media accounts on Tuesday with a photo of the vlogger and a post urging people to ‘do a random act of love or kindness today in honour of The King of Random’.
The star was reported missing an hour after he was meant to return by a caller who said he couldn’t be reached on his phone. He went off the radar near the Sand Hollow State Park, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.
Thompson was a father of four sons with his wife.

Love Island winners Amber and Greg settle back into life in the UK (Picture: Instagram/Rex)
Love Island winners Greg O’Shea and Amber Gill have been spending time together in Newcastle as they settle back into life in the UK as a couple.
The pair won the 2019 series less than two weeks after coupling up in the villa, and now after scooping that £50,000 prize money they are back and meeting each other’s family and friends.
On Thursday the pair headed up north where Greg met Amber’s family and stayed over, sharing videos of their arrival and the decorations laid on for them.
Amber can be seen in one video posing in the door of her parent’s house, with the house covered in banners and posters of the pair, before he later revealed they were out enjoying dinner together in a local pub.

The beauty therapist, 21, and rugby player, 24, cuddled up in bed for their very first selfie together on Wednesday, making their romance official.
The couple grinned cheekily at the camera, looking like the cats that got the £50,000 cream and Greg posted the cute snap on his Instagram Stories and wrote alongside it: ‘Love Island… completed it, mate.’

The genetically-blessed pair may have been cuddling up under the sheets for social media, but the reality stars confessed that they haven’t had sex yet.
‘No, it’s still only 13 days,’ they told Metro.co.uk after the final.
‘We’ve been respectful, it wasn’t about whether we were on camera or not, it’s just how we carry ourselves as people,’ they added.
Amber and Greg went onto discuss where they see their relationship heading, and how they definitely only have eyes for each other.
‘I don’t think it’s in our nature to see other people,’ they confessed.
‘We’re both very loyal and we’re definitely only going to be seeing each other.’

Charlotte Hawkins was reduced to tears while interviewing a police officer suffering with Motor Neurone Disease, after her father died from the condition.
The 44-year-old presenter hosted Good Morning Britain alongside Adil Ray on Friday (2 August), and were joined by ASS Chief Constable Chris Johnson and his wife Sharon.
Speaking about her husband’s battle with the condition, Sharon said: ‘When we first got the diagnosis I was absolutely devastated, all of our hopes, dreams, plans for retirement just seemed to go out the window.
‘I think as a family now we are at the stage that like Chris he has got the disease, there is nothing we can do about it. Yes we might only have him for two to five years, let’s make the most of those years and let’s make memories for the children.’
Charlotte Hawkins was in tears (Picture: ITV)
As Sharon spoke about Chris’s diagnosis, Charlotte had to take moment as she started crying, saying: ‘Sorry you are better than me. It’s making me really upset but you are the ones going through it at the moment.’
Charlotte’s father died aged 78 in 2015 after a three-year struggle with the terminal illness.
She previously opened up about how her father’s death happened one month before her daughter was born, with the presenter now a regular campaigner for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

‘He died a month before Ella Rose was born, I’ve got to be thankful that I was able to tell him I was pregnant at last,’ Charlotte said.
‘She knows all about Granddad Frank, when we go on holiday she waves to him out of the plane, she thinks he lives in the sky because he’s in heaven. He’s living on through her.’
You can catch Good Morning Britain weekdays on ITV at 6am.
Who would be Joey’s perfect match? (Picture: Getty)
In the Friends series finale, our six fave sitcom characters headed off into the sunset together, grabbing one last coffee before settling down into married/attached life.
That is, apart from Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc), who instead tried to make it in Hollywood with his own TV spin-off that didn’t quite work out as well as planned.
Joey made no secret of being quite the bachelor and was able to entice anyone he wanted with a tilt of the head and a ‘How you doin’?’ – but it wasn’t until the end of the show’s run that he seemed to consider settling down.
Trying his luck with Rachel, things simply didn’t work out because deep down, both knew her heart was still with Ross.
…So who could manage to tame him as his perfect other half?
Speaking to Zoe Coetzee, relationship expert at EliteSingles.com, we can confirm that despite fans desperate for them to get together, the answer is not in the beloved Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow).
Friends fans wanted Phoebe and Joey to get together (Picture: NBC)
‘The idea of him and Friends alumni Phoebe becoming a couple was popular, but they were too similar to make it in the long run,’ Zoe explained. ‘Joey might be suited to someone who could complement him in better ways!’
‘In terms of his personality traits, using Myers-Briggs personality types, Joey would be a classic Entertainer, ESFP (Extroverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving). This means he thrives in the spotlight, living in the moment and has great social skills,’ the expert added.
‘However, he can get bored easily, is not good at long-term planning and romance can fizzle out as quickly as it ignited,’ she adds. ‘Although they can be charming, commitment can be an issue for an ESFP, so it is especially important to find compatible partner.’
With this in mind, Zoe was at least able to slim down what kind of woman that would be a good fit for the actor.
Joey even tried to make it work with Rachel, but ultimately decided they were better friends (Picture: NBC)
‘Personality traits are not a definitive deal maker for a relationship, [but] an ISFJ (Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Judging) – known as a Nurturer – is considered are good match with an ESFP,’ she revealed.
‘They support each other’s strengths and weaknesses in sustainable and compatible patterns of behaviour, sharing sensing and feeling traits but able to balance each other’s weaknesses.
‘An ISFJ is warm, caring and dependable, with great intuition, and partnered with an ESFP like Joey, can create powerful synchronicity as a couple.’
So could his best match on the series have actually been scientist Charlie (before she ran off with her ex) or even, dare we say it, Monica?
Monica even admitted she initially only hooked up with Chandler in London because she was looking for Joey.
It’s just a thought, but maybe we wouldn’t repeat that last one to Chandler (if he was real, that is).
‘While, he had a ‘ladies man’ reputation he proved himself a loyal, kind and caring character,’ Zoe added.
‘He could make a great boyfriend if he met the right person.’
We’d be inclined to agree.
Friends is available on Netflix now, and airs on Comedy Central.

Baekhyun, Taemin and Kai will reportedly join forces (Picture: Getty)
Pretty much every K-pop group is a supergroup, with each idol having a specific power.
But SM Entertainment may actually be gifting us with a legit supergroup – and it could be too much to handle.
Although we’re sure we’ll cope with the stanning.
The agency has confirmed an official announcement is on the way following reports that members of EXO, SHINee, NCT and WayV will be joining forces in a new boyband.
Industry sources in Korea claimed that EXO’s Kai and Baekhyun, SHINee star Taemin, and NCT’s Taeyong, Mark, Lucas and Ten will be debuting as a new group later this year.
Taeyong and Mark of NCT 127 are also involved (Picture: Gavriil GrigorovTASS via Getty Images)
According to reports, this won’t be a unit project but an actual group, with possible comebacks in the pipeline after their debut.
SM Entertainment said: ‘An official announcement will be made on August 8.’
Our alarms are set already.
While this isn’t a unit spin-off, sources assured fans that their original and main groups will get priority, so SHINee, EXO and NCT devotees needn’t worry.
Baekhyun recently debuted as a solo artist with his mini-album City Lights, while Kai is also an actor alongside his work with EXO.
He has worked with SHINee’s Taemin before, having featured on his solo track Pretty Boy.
SM Entertainment is home to some of the biggest acts in K-pop, including the aforementioned boybands, Red Velvet, Girls’ Generation, f(x), BoA and TVHQ.

The new Nintendo Switch Lite is due to launch on 20 September and it’s now available to pre-order in the UK, although no-one’s currently budging from a £200 price tag.
That’s roughly £80 cheaper than the original Switch, although the Switch Lite is significantly different in that it’s handheld only and doesn’t have detachable Joy-Con controllers.
So far, the closest to any variation in price is ShopTo, who have the Switch Lite at £199.85 – a saving of 14p on everyone else. Which means Amazon.co.uk, GAME, Argos, Smyths, and Nintendo themselves all have it down for £199.99.
There are three colour variations of the Switch Lite – yellow, grey, and turquoise – as well as a special Pokémon edition to coincide with the new Sword and Shield game when it’s released later this year.
The Zacian & Zamazenta Edition (named after the two legendary wolf pokémon from the new game) is the same price as the regular versions but is only currently being offered by Smyths and GAME – with the latter forcing you buy a copy of the game at the same time, for a total of £249.99.
Since the Switch Lite is brand new it’s unlikely there’s going to be any major discounts this year, even on Black Friday.
The opposite is probably going to be true for the original Switch though, where it seems reasonable to hope for some decent bargains in the run up to Christmas.
Harley has passed away after battling lung cancer (Picture: WWE)
WWE Hall of Famer Harley Race has died aged 76.
It was confirmed that the former NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) World Heavyweight Champion passed away yesterday due to complications from lung cancer.
A post shared on Harley’s official Twitter account read: ‘Today at 12:50, we lost the man that fought up until the very last of his existence. More information will be released soon, but just know that he loved pro-wrestling and the fans that loved him.
‘Harley Race, we love you.’
Fans poured in with tributes, calling Race ‘the GOAT’, with one fan tweeting: ‘RIP the man who made me a fan of wrestling. I remember him just being unbeatable probably the way people see Brock Lesnar today.’
Race was a nine-time world champion, having won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship eight times as well as winning the WWA World Heavyweight Championship.
The wrestler had numerous feuds, including one with Hulk Hogan (Picture: David Cooper/Toronto Star via Getty Images)
The Missouri-born star began wrestling in the early 60s, before he joined the American Wrestling Association in 1965 in a tag team with Larry Hennig.
After a 14-year stint with the National Wrestling Alliance, Race moved to the World Wrestling Federation in 1986, where he won the King of the Ring tournament.
During his time in WWF, he feuded with Hulk Hogan and Jim Duggan and had a memorable clash with Junkyard Dog at Wrestlemania III.
Race’s wrestling career was derailed by a car crash in January 1995, which led to him having his hip replaced.
Race was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.
He had been married four times – his first wife Vivian died in a car crash, the same accident which almost claimed Harley’s leg, weeks after their wedding.
Race had a daughter Candice with second wife Sandra, and a son, Justin, with his third wife Christine – this marriage lasted 30 years.
The star married Beverly, or BJ, in 1995, and they remained married until her death in 2009.

Ben Phillips says Tana and Jake could’ve ‘easily’ raked in a million pounds getting married (Picture: Getty)
YouTuber Ben Phillips has broken down how pal Jake Paul and new wife Tana Mongeau ‘easily’ raked in £1million for their controversial and lavish Las Vegas wedding day.
Tana and Jake tied the knot after just two months of dating last weekend, splashing out $500,000 (£412,00) to make sure their day was special.
Now Welshman Ben, whose work on YouTube has helped him become a close pal with Jake, revealed a ballpark figure on what they earned in response that could make your eyes water.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Ben said: ‘A lot of celebrities do bankroll their weddings, regardless if they do the heart and soul etc.
‘I think this was a fantastic step forward. Just put your wedding live. But of course, YouTube don’t advance you to go live and build a show, they just give you the option of people being able to donate, and so fans can donate.’
‘From the looks of it, the company that supported Jake was Halogen,’ he added. ‘The day before the wedding they did the Challenger, Olympic style sports thing Logan [Paul, Jake’s brother] did, and that same company sponsored the wedding.
‘I can only imagine to buy Jake’s wedding on live would come with a pretty sick pay packet in advance! Pretty sick pay packet!’
The couple spent half a million on their nuptials (Picture: Denise Truscello/WireImage)
Chuck in the pay-per-view wedding feed, costing $50 a pop, as well as other sponsorship deals for other elements of the wedding, and the pair were literally laughing all the way to the bank.
‘They would’ve cleared over a million dollars, easily. That’s a no brainer,’ Ben continued. ‘This is social media and this is the age we live in.’
Explaining just how much money is in the social media industry today, he added: ‘I remember when Vine came out and it was like “so and so made a million dollars on a brand deal. Amazing!”
‘Now it’s like “we’ve cleared a million dollars, what’s next?” That’s where we’re at. I think it was a million dollars clear for the live-streams and the viewership.
Despite people doubting whether Tana and Jake’s relationship is real or a showmance, Ben believes that the couple are actually in the relationship for real.
(Although he’s quick to add that it might not have started that way for them!)
Laughing, the online prankster said: ‘I do [believe it’s real] actually yeah! I do.
‘I think at first it was like “we should just touch base with each other” and then it was like “oh s***, we really get on with each other…wait, this is going somewhere”
‘Then the thought pattern was, why wait for two years to say will you marry me? We’re flying now, let’s just do it!’
‘I don’t think I would do it!,’ he added. ‘I kind of like, for me, have found the one, but I didn’t marry her within the week! We’ve got to live together, travel together, and shout at each other, love each other, and then I’ll figure it all out. But who knows?
‘When you’ve had too many relationships like Jake has, past relationships he’s had that he’s learned from his mistakes, and knows the right path for him now.’
This would certainly explain why Tana said in her MTV show Tana Turns 21 that she’s in it for the ‘fun and content’, only to clarify herself by the time it made it to air that she did actually love Jake.
She wrote online after the clip aired: ‘Confessionals for the show [were shot] A LONG TIME AGO! The “for fun and content” sound bite was from a very long sentence lmao and was a little salty to see it pulled out of context.’
‘I know that things have moved so fast, are unconventional, and confusing but I love Jake. I truly do, in the weirdest fucking way. Every second of this rollercoaster ride has been so fun & crazy,’ Tana continued.
‘I hate that it’ll probably always come with owing people some explanation especially with so many things coming out like the show (which is quite behind)… but I know that’s kinda the life we signed up for. idk. I’ll f*** off.’

Ben is set to star alongside Ana De Armas (Picture: Getty Images)
Ben Affleck and Bond girl Ana De Armas are set to star in erotic thriller Deep Water as they take on something new.
The Gone Girl actor will star alongside the Bond 25 actress in the upcoming flick which is based on Patricia Highsmith’s 2003 novel and is set for release in 2020, according to Collider.
The whole plot sounds incredibly creepy and we can’t wait.
The movie will see married couple Vic and Melinda Van Allen opening up their relationship and trying to save their marriage by letting Melinda have any number of lovers she chooses.
However, it all turns to disaster when Vic murders one of the lovers out of jealousy, and then uses the death to terrify the other men.
The book’s synopsis says that it examines the ‘chilling reality behind the idyllic facade of American suburban life.’
Consider us well and truly freaked out.

Produced by Fox/Disney, the movie will be helmed by Adrian Lyne and Penned by Zack Helm and Sam Levinson.

She joins Lea Seydoux, Rami Malek, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Lashana Lynch – who is set to be the first female 007 – in the cast, but the project has been plagued by problems from the get go.

Amber Heard will star in The Stand (Picture: Giuseppe Maffia/NurPhoto via Getty Images)
Amber Heard and James Marsden have been cast for a new adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand.
The pair will join Odessa Young and Henry Zaga in leading roles for the 10-episode series, based on the 1978 apocalyptic fantasy novel.
If you’re unfamiliar, The Stand presents a world where a deadly plague has killed off 99 per cent of the population, and was previously adapted into an ABC miniseries in 1994.
Announced during CBS All Access’ summer Television Critics Association presentation, it was also revealed Stephen King will write the final episode of the series – which serves as a ‘new coda’ going beyond events in the book.
Marsden will play Stu Redman, an ordinary, working-class factory man who becomes a leader of the survivors.
Heard has been cast as Nadine Cross, a conflicted woman who is compelled by her allegiance to Randall Flagg, the Dark Man.

Young will play pregnant young woman Frannie Goldsmith, who recognises there is evil lurking beyond the Dark Man. Zaga plays Nick Andros, a young deaf and mute man who finds himself in a position of authority when the unthinkable happens.
Josh Boone is set to direct the series and act as writer and executive producer with Ben Cavell. Roy Lee, Jimmy Miller and Richard P. Rubinstein will also serve as executive producers.
It’s one of many Stephen King adaptations in the pipeline, with IT Chapter Two releasing in cinemas in September while Doctor Sleep starring Ewan McGregor releases later this year.
Simon Fuller and Victoria Beckham have parted ways after 25 years (Picture: Getty)
Victoria Beckham is said to have fired her long-term manager Simon Fuller, the man who created the Spice Girls.
Months after David Beckham and Victoria bought Simon out of his stake in their business, it has been reported that Victoria will now be managed by US firm William Morris Endeavour (WME), who also work with the likes of Adele and Calvin Harris.
Sources close to the star claimed that in recent years their ‘relationship has not been as strong’ as in the past and that although David ‘initiated the split between them and Simon’ Victoria has been happy to move away from the former Pop Idol judge.
The couple bought out Simon’s 33 per cent stake in Beckham Brand Holdings – which deals with partnerships and brands, and includes a stake in Inter Miami FC, a football club set to start playing in America’s major league in 2020 – in May for what was thought to be £40 million.

‘And now she’s taken on the biggest agency in the world to find new opportunities.’
A spokesperson for Victoria told Metro.co.uk that WME are now representing Victoria personally as well as the VB Brand for commercial
partnerships but that ‘Simon Fuller continues to be a director and shareholder in Victoria’s business Victoria Beckham Ltd’.

Simon assembled the Spice Girls in 1994 and managed them throughout the first year of their success until they fired him in 1997 and managed themselves.
Victoria however remained close to Simon, and it is thought he is still an active director for Victoria Beckham Limited and Victoria Beckham Holdings Limited.
Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for David and Victoria for comment.

We’ve been crying out for more LGBTQ+ representation in comic books – and DC Comics is listening.
Aquaman is now canonically queer, after the latest episode of animated series Young Justice: Outsiders saw the underwater hero kissing his boyfriend.
See? It’s not that hard to be inclusive, peeps.
In the episode Quiet Conversations, Kaldur-ahm – previously known as Aqualad, who took ocer the mantle of Aquaman – voiced by Khary Peyton, is shown kissing Wynnde, an Atlantean who works with King Orin.
The short and sweet scene was praised on social media, with many calling for Jason Momoa’s big screen take on Aquaman to also be shown as LGBTQ+.

Young Justice: Outsiders is following the canon of the DC Rebirth comics, who reintroduced Aqualad as a gay teenager in 2016.
In a scene where Aqualad came out to his father in the comic, he said: ‘I play soccer, centre-midfield. Biggest set of lings on the team, Coach says.
‘My favourite subject is math. My favourite band is A Tribe Called Quest. I’m… gay.’
His father responded: ‘You’re saying that as though you’re asking me a question. You think I care? We’re all just meat.’
A number of DC characters were made canonically LGBTQ+ in the Rebirth series, having had their sexualities hinted at in the past – notably Wonder Woman, who is bisexual, and The Ray, who was reintroduced as a gay man in Justice League of America.

We all know what it’s like to be in a complicated relationship, but remind us never to tread on Ariana Grande’s toes when it comes to potential lovers.
The singer shows off her possessive side in the cheeky video to her new track, Boyfriend, with pop-duo Social House (Michael ‘Mikey’ Foster and Charles ‘Scootie’ Anderson).
The R’n’B infused bop sees Ari and her pals singing about the struggles of modern dating, as they lament about dating someone casually but wanting to be exclusive so no-one else can have them.
So the vengeful rom-com video focuses on Ariana attending a party and getting all sorts of jealous when Mikey is talking to new conquests.
Like anyone else would, the singer mercilessly attacks each love rival to stops things from going further, including jumping on one and shooting the other with a bow and arrow.
Meanwhile, Mikey literally rips the heart out of a guy who tries to hit on Ari. Young love, eh?
The singer is seen going to extreme lengths when she gets jealous about the boy she likes flirting with other girls (Picture: YouTube)
In one scene, Ari literally pounces of her unsuspecting love rivals (Picture: YouTube)
The dysfunctional lovebirds then sneak off to the bathroom for a passionate – and destructive – make out session and eventually get caught in the act by Scootie.
Something tells us the clip of Ariana shooting love heart blasts from her boobs is going to become a popular GIF in no time!
Naturally, the star also shoots some love heart lasers from her chest (Picture: YouTube)
Their passionate make out session causes quite a bit of destruction (Picture: YouTube)
Explaining the inspiration behind the track, Ari told fans: ‘I feel like this song captures a common theme in the lives of so many people I know!
‘People want to feel love but don’t want to define their relationship & have trouble fully committing or trusting or allowing themselves to fully love someone. even tho they want to.’
She continued: ‘We wanted to make something uplifting that captures that feeling of being afraid to take the leap & trust, being afraid of being hurt or feeling like you won’t be enough for that person … but also how it feels to have a crippling crush on someone [sic].’
Safe to say Ari and the boys managed to achieve their goal with the collaboration.

A rep for Saffron branded the claims ‘outrageous’ (Picture: SaffronBarkerVlogs/YouTube)
Backlash against Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker has been branded ‘outrageous’ after she was slammed by a late friend’s mum who accused the YouTuber of using her daughter for ‘attention.’
A tweet from 2018, which has recently been unearthed, shows the mum of Jessica-Jayde Allen, a fellow YouTuber who tragically passed away from cancer, accusing the 19-year-old of using her daughter for ‘attention’.
Jayde passed away in April 2017, with Saffron writing a tribute at the time which read: ‘RIP Jess. I’m gonna love and miss u with all my heart. You were one truly kind hearted friend who I will never forget…’
However, in 2018, when Saffron teamed up with Stand Up To Cancer, she tweeted: ‘I’m so lucky, I have never directly had anyone in my life who has had cancer, but so many of my subscribers have had people in theirs who have, or who have had it themselves, unfortunately millions of people have and so today I’m so honoured to be part of @su2c livestream.’
In response, Terri Plummer, Jayde’s mum, fumed: ‘Is this vile disgusting human for real. Pretending to be my daughter’s best friend AND coming to her funeral.

‘Using my daughter @_JaydeAllen for attention. Showing your true colours now aren’t we @SaffronBarker absolutely disgusting. Anything for attention, TWO FACED and SICK.’
However, a rep for Saffron told Metro.co.uk: ‘To suggest in any way that Saffron didn’t care about Jayde, and used this awful tragedy for publicity is outrageous and the online community know this.

‘Saffron is a kind-hearted young woman, and throughout this whole process last year was only ever trying to help raise awareness for this horrendous disease.’
It was announced that the YouTube star, who boasts a following of more than 2 million on her channel, would be appearing on the show on Thursday morning.
Speaking about joining the show, Saffron said: ‘I am really excited to go on the Strictly journey and am feeling very grateful for the opportunity!
‘I’m looking forward to learning all of the dances, finding out who my partner is, getting to wear the costumes and to just experience this once in a lifetime opportunity.’
