Kevin Spacey reads aloud poetry about a boxer being ‘used for entertainment’

Kevin Spacey has made an appearance in Rome where he read poetry about a boxer facing repeated blows.

The US actor, who has faced multiple accusations of sexual misconduct, appeared in front of the Boxer at Rest statue at the Palazzo Massimo alle Terme in Italy to read The Boxer, about a tired fighter who has been used for entertainment and then left bleeding by the ringside.

Italian poet Gabriele Tinti has said it was ‘an honour’ to hear Spacey read the poetry out loud.

Tinti wrote on Twitter: ‘What a wonderful night! Everyone was so happy to celebrate art, it was an honor to have Kevin Spacey reading my poems, Rome loves you!

‘A picture is worth a thousand words ?? #theboxer.’

Spacey read lines including: ‘They used me for their entertainment, fed on shoddy stuff.

‘Life was over in a moment.’

Last month prosecutors in the US dropped a case accusing the actor of groping a teenager at a bar in 2016, which he denied.

The Hollywood actor faces six allegations of sexual assault in the UK between 1996 and 2013.

Spacey was voluntarily interviewed under caution by Scotland Yard detectives – he was not arrested – in May.

Actor Anthony Rapp also alleged he was 14 when Spacey, then 26, made a sexual advance to him in 1986.

Spacey said he did not remember the alleged encounter, but apologised for any ‘inappropriate drunken behaviour’.

The Oscar-winning actor was artistic director at London’s The Old Vic theatre between 2004 and 2015.

The theatre later found 20 people claimed they had been subjected to inappropriate behaviour from the actor.

The star was sacked from the Netflix show House Of Cards and Sir Ridley Scott erased him from his completed film All The Money In The World, recasting Christopher Plummer in the role with re-shoots costing millions.

Last year, Spacey posted a bizarre video to YouTube, appearing in the guise of Frank Underwood, his Machiavellian US president from House Of Cards, saying: ‘I’m certainly not going to pay the price for the thing I didn’t do’.

Taron Egerton ‘would love’ to join Marvel Cinematic Universe – maybe not as Wolverine

Taron Egerton says he would love to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although he’s still casting doubt on the role of Wolverine.

The 29-year-old’s name was first thrown into the mix when Marvel writer Mark Millar casually wrote on Twitter: ‘Taron Egerton will be the next Wolverine.’

Hugh Jackman was the original actor to take on the superhero, but since Taron’s name was dropped, fans have been speculating over who would be the right person to replace the 50-year-old.

When catching up with the Rocketman star, Variety couldn’t help but press for more answers.

‘I love Marvel, and I love the movies, and I’d love the excuse to get in shape,’ Taron confessed to the publication.

Choosing his words wisely, he then added: ‘I’d love to be a part of it, whether [Wolverine] is realistic or not, I don’t know.’

Fans were quick to comment with some convinced he’s already in talks to join the MCU.

‘Taron was being very careful with his words there,’ one pointed out: ‘I think clearly talks have been happening regarding the MCU, it is just a question of the right role for him.’

Someone else commented: ‘I think the same,’ while others started to suggest superheros the star could potentially play: ‘Make him Human Torch. I can’t watch him struggle with the training for Wolverine.’

And other fans were in agreement, adding: ‘He could be Johnny Storm.’

This isn’t the first time Taron has addressed the rumours, as while hanging out at San Diego Comic Con, for his new show The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance, MTV made sure to put the actor on the spot.

Asking him about the speculation, he laughed: ‘I think you need better beard game for Wolverine than I have.

‘Look, there’s no grounding for the rumour. I know that that’s probably in the pipeline at some point for Marvel but I would imagine it’s a little way off.’

The star went on: ‘If I was asked it would be incredible, but… I have to confess, I think sometimes there are better candidates.’

Pausing for a second, the actor joked: ‘Or actually, you know, who knows, if it was in five years maybe I would be grizzly enough.

‘I’m a great admirer of those films and it’s very, very flattering to have even been mentioned.’

Comedian John Robins says gambling online while battling his addiction would have lead to his death

Comedian John Robins has said he would have probably killed himself if he had access to online gambling at the height of his addiction.

The radio presenter revealed how he started gambling at the age of 16 on fruit machines in pubs, but the situation soon got out of hand.

Opening up about that period in his life for BBC Three documentary, Can You Beat the Bookies?, he explained how he became desperate and began self-harming.

‘I haven’t really spoken about it,’ he admitted. ‘I’ve tried to write about it but it’s something that means too much to be funny about it I guess. It’s part of my life pre-comedy.”

Describing how he got into fruit machines, he said: ‘For me it was a way of switching my brain off. As soon as I was stood in front of a fruit machine it was just like flicking a switch, where I didn’t think about anything.’

The comedian eventually went to Gamblers Anonymous, and said: ‘The situation was getting very out of control and I was very desperate and self-harming.

‘This was about 1999/2000 but over the course of going, the make-up of the groups that I went to got progressively younger and as gambling moved online a lot more women started going.’

Fellow comedian Lloyd Griffith asked how John thought he would fare today if he was a teenager with access to gambling online.

https://www.instagram.com/p/ByID5LMgeqV/

‘If I had the same problem now as an 18-year-old as I did then, with access to the internet and apps on my phone, I would probably be dead because I would have killed myself,’ the presenter replied.

‘And what is quite scary is that in all the progress that we have made in understanding problem gambling, it’s actually easier to become one now than it was 15 or 20 years ago.’

https://www.instagram.com/p/BZCOjtvlUDS/

In the show, Griffith embarks on an experiment to find out if he can uncover the secrets of gambling success and in the process learn the truth about how the industry operates, meeting both professional gamblers and those who have suffered the consequences of gambling addiction.

The Gambling Commission, which is responsible for regulating the gambling industry, said: ‘Licensees are required to have procedures for interacting with customers who may be at risk of harm and should take account of the level of expenditure incurred by a customer.

‘Operators must step in if any customer shows signs of problem gambling.’

Can You Beat the Bookies? is available on BBC Three from 10am on August 4.

Sex And The City and Law And Order get crossover we never knew we needed as Chris Noth hangs with his leading ladies

We’d love to see this crossover (Picture: Instagram)

Chris Noth has delivered the ultimate 90s US TV crossover with a photo with his Sex And The City and Law And Order co-stars.

The actor, who appears in both smash-hit shows, was seen beaming with Jill Hennessy (who played Assistant DA Claire Kinkaid) and Kristin Davis (SATC’s prim and proper Charlotte) on either arm.

In Sex And The City, Charlotte and Noth’s Mr Big were on shaky ground as friends, as Big fell in love with her best mate, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), but systematically left her broken-hearted.

Chris played homicide detective Mike Logan in Law and Order from 1990-1995, with the show remaining the US’s longest-running TV show ever.

Alongside the clip, Chris joked: ‘It’s a threesome – Sex and the Order!’

It seems the event was definitely an exclusive one, with Sarah Jessica Parker quick to comment on the photo declaring: ‘Wait what???? How did I miss that????’

‘I missed it too 😭 @sarahjessicaparker,’ Levin Rambin added.

Maybe be better with the invites next get together, yeah guys? Because we’re down for the all-star dinner parties.

Following the success of the show, it’s been announced that a sequel to Sex And The City is on its way – but without any of the original stars.

But it’s clear the show is still dear to some of the cast’s hearts, with Sarah recreating the iconic intro for a new ad, just as glam as she was 15 years ago.

A third movie was initially slated, but due to Kim Cattrall’s unwillingness to participate (supposedly in part due to a dodgy plot involving getting sexts from Miranda’s 14-year-old), it never emerged.

At least that means Mr Big gets to live another day – seeing as he was meant to be killed off in the film.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Saffron Barker speaks out on pressure of YouTube: ‘It wasn’t healthy’

She admitted vlogging every day ‘wasn’t healthy’ (Picture: Zuma Press/PA Images)

Strictly Come Dancing’s Saffron Barker has spoken out on the pressure of YouTube, admitting that it ‘wasn’t healthy’ for her.

The 19-year-old YouTuber, who was recently announced as one of the stars to take on Strictly this year, is set to follow in Joe Sugg’s footsteps.

With a following of more than two million, she built up her audience largely through daily vlogging.

However, feeling the pressure to create a new video every day, Saffron admitted it took its toll as she spoke to us at VidCon London.

Revealing that she’s taken some time to focus on herself, she admitted she’s ‘stripped back from vlogging.’

‘When you’re vlogging every day, I was getting to a stage where I was doing nine or 10 videos a week and choosing to come to events to see my friends as well, and it got so manic and full-on,’ the YouTube star revealed.

‘I used to call myself a daily vlogger, so if I missed an upload, people would go crazy,’ she added. ‘I get where people are coming from, but it makes you feel such a pressure.

‘I feel like I was getting to a point where I was uploading so much for the sake of it.’

Saffron continued: ‘I want to show my good times and my bad times but I was uploading so much that if I really was feeling crap or if I was being sick that day, I was still vlogging. It wasn’t healthy how much I was doing it because I didn’t want to let other people down.’

The vlogger added that she eventually cut back on how many videos she made per week, prioritising ‘quality over quantity’.

Meanwhile, opening up about the beginnings of her YouTube career, Saffron explained that a heartbreaking split from her former girl band BORN2BLUSH kickstarted her love for vlogging.

‘I used to be in a girl band back in the day and then once we broke up – my mum, she would travel with me everyday to the recording studio – as soon as that stopped, I only ever pictured myself as being a singer or entertaining other people,’ Saffron recalled.

‘As soon as we broke up, I was distraught, like crying my eyes out, my parents cried, it was such a big thing.’

The YouTube star continued: ‘I wanted to do [YouTube] but saying it and actually doing it are different things. They were like, “If you want to do it, do it”. Because of that, they bought me a camera, because I was so upset about what had happened and they were…behind me all the way.’

Carol Vorderman sent fans into meltdown with her latest pictures

Carol Vorderman sent fans into meltdown recently, after she innocently stepped out in a pair of black jeggings – looking all kinds of fire.

Instantly, the 58-year-old – who was previously named Rear Of The Year twice – was forced to deny she had undergone bum surgery, as she was compared to Kim Kardashian.

And the Countdown star lifted the lid on what her two children, Katie and Cameron – whom she shares with ex Patrick King – made of the madness surrounding her figure.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, she told us: ‘They just thought, “That’s just mum, it’s just mum”.

‘We go to the gym together, we do all sorts. Katie, my daughter, is very into fitness as well.’

Carol – who is fronting Smart Energy GB’s new Smart Meter home campaign – also confessed she had no idea the pictures in question, of her walking around London while rocking jeggings and an orange jumper, would attract quite this much attention.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BoEDLYlgEvO/

‘I was not expecting that, especially not at my age. It’s like, “really?!” It’s all there, isn’t it?,’ she continued.

‘No, not at all! Most of my time, I’m in leggings and trainers because I go hiking a lot.

‘Normally I like to do it two or three days a week. I’m talking about a whole day, 20 miles, including mountain.

‘People might find it a little bit odd because I haven’t been posting pictures of me in the gym, but that’s not me. I fly planes and I love technology.’

You keep doing you, hun.

As well as being a fashion influencer and making us all want to run to M&S for a pair of jeggings, Carol is a huge technology nut, and is desperate to get up into space at some point.

Carol is also planning on jetting to space one day

Honestly, take us with you.

‘I’d definitely go up into space in a shot,’ she vowed. ‘A lot of my friends are astronauts and we were talking about it.

‘I don’t think I’ll ever get to Mars, I’m not in the right age group.’

It’s not just making a beeline for Mars that the I’m A Celebrity star is passionate about, she is also conscious of doing whatever she can to help the planet, starting with making small changes in the home.

‘There are lots of things that you can do now without having to become an eco-warrior,’ she added. ‘A smart meter is a key one because. It makes your usage of electricity much more efficient.’

WWE legend The Rock has announced his retirement from wrestling.

We’ve seen it coming for a while now, but it seems Dwayne Johnson wanted to make things official by letting his fans know he’s finally hung up his boots.

When chatting on Live with Kelly and Ryan, the 47-year-old spoke about his career, and how he’s called it a day on the sport that propelled him into stardom.

He said: ‘I miss wrestling, I love wrestling. Yes, I do…’

Asked if he’d ever return, the star added: ‘I quietly retired from wrestling because I was lucky enough to have just a really wonderful career and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish.

‘But there’s nothing like a live crowd, a live audience, a live microphone as you both know.’

Going onto explain his involvement in the sport, the father-of-three continued: ‘Plus I grew up in wrestling, my grandfather wrestled, my dad wrestled my whole family.

‘And my very first match ever in WWE was in Madison Square Garden and it was a big pay per view.’

Dwayne smiled: ‘It’s funny because I credit my time and journey in pro wrestling to have got me where I am today.’

The Rock made his WWE debut during the Survivor Series back in 1996.

Since then he reigned supreme, and became one of the most recognisable characters in the ring.

However, he decided to take a break a whole 15 years ago in order to chase his acting dreams before returning in 2012 where he fought the incredible John Cena.

For the past eight years he’s managed to keep his wrestling and acting career alive, as well as raising three daughters.

But it seems he is more invested in the silver screen, especially after his upcoming release Hobbs and Shaw.

The actor revealed that his mother, Ata Johnson, became very emotional when he spoke in Samoan, the language of their ancestors, as he was busy filming the latest movie in the Fast & Furious franchise.

‘Within the scene, she never heard me speak in Samoan to this degree. She hears me speaking in Samoan, calling on our ancestors to give us strength… I look over and she is crying so hard,’ he revealed to Extra TV.

What has Anton said about Love Island co-star Molly-Mae as he unfollows her on Instagram?

The Love Island saga continues (Pictures: ITV/REX)

After a somewhat rocky time in the villa, Love Island’s Anton Danyluk has unfollowed his fellow Islander Molly-Mae Hague on Instagram.

Love Island 2019 might have come to an end, but don’t let that fool you into thinking the drama has done the same.

As we eagerly wait for all the beef that the Love Island reunion episode is sure to bring, here’s what Anton has said about his reason for unfollowing Molly-Mae.

What has Anton said about Molly-Mae?

During their time in the villa, Anton and Molly-Mae failed to get close after Molly-Mae explored her romantic options with Anton and Danny Williams while she was coupled up with her now-boyfriend Tommy Fury.

‘When I was in the villa, I didn’t follow anyone, my management followed every islander. But on the outside, when I noticed Molly-Mae on my newsfeed, I unfollowed her,’ he told The Scottish Sun.

‘I have nothing against her, we just didn’t speak in the villa. We would be in the same room and wouldn’t say a word to each other.’

Anton added: ‘A lot of people think it’s because they voted us out but that’s nothing to do with it, we just never got on.’

Anton and his partner Belle Hassan were both dumped from the villa just a day before the live finale after a vote among the Islanders resulted in Anton and Belle being up for elimination.

The pair ended up not being saved by the public vote, while Molly-Mae and Tommy came second in to winners Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea in the final.

Love Island will return to ITV next year.

Bindi Irwin has shared a sweet message to her late father Steve Irwin, confirming her teenage brother would be walking her down the aisle.

Bindi, 21, became engaged on 24 July and a week later has remembered her dad as she reveals details about the upcoming ceremony.

‘Dad, You would be so incredibly proud of Robert,’ she wrote alongside a throwback photo of the Irwin family.

‘He has been such an amazing support during this beautiful new life chapter. I know you’d be beaming with pride when the time comes that he walks me down the aisle.’

She finished: ‘I wish you could be here for these moments, but I know that your spirit lives on in us.’

Bindi also shared a snap from her engagement photoshoot with her new fiance and brother, who held Bindi’s hand.

The wildlife warrior and daughter of The Crocodile Hunter took to social media to share the cute AF snaps of the pair as she showed off her sparkling new ring.

Wasting no time in letting the world know she was getting married to her boyfriend of six years, the Australian media personality posted a heartwarming tribute to her beau.

‘July 24th 2019. On my birthday I said “yes” and “forever” to the love of my life,’ she said.

‘Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you and every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure and true happiness.

‘I’m so looking forwarding to spending our forever together as your wife. Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, purpose and unconditional love.’

She met American pro wakeboarder Chandler, 22, in 2013 when his family was given a tour of Australia Zoo, where he now works alongside the Irwins.

Bindi and her brother have carried on her father’s legacy, after he was killed by a stingray when she was only eight-years-old.

Love Island’s Amy Hart had a horrific scare and bolted out of Brighton Pride over fears her grandfather was about to die – only for him to make a miraculous recovery within the hour.

The reality star and air hostess was joining in on the festivities alongside Impulse when she posted on her Instagram stories an apology stating that she had to leave early.

‘Had to leave pride due to a family emergency. Have a good one everyone,’ she wrote on Instagram.

However, after hustling out of the busy city centre and heading home in a car, Amy posted another video saying she was on her way back less than half an hour later.

‘Right everyone, so I had to leave Pride because we thought that my granddad sadly wouldn’t make it,’ the islander explained.

She then joked: ‘But he’s serving comebacks like Take That, and now he’s sitting up eating ice cream! So I’m on my way back!

‘Hope to see some of you there!’

Brighton Pride is in full effect this weekend as thousands descend upon the seaside town to celebrate everything LGBT.

Amy has been legit smashing it ever since saying sayonara to the villa and walking out on her own terms after being savagely dumped by Curtis Pritchard.

Becoming a quick fave on Loose Women, Amy has also been open about seeking therapy treatment in the aftermath of the show.

Avengers: Endgame writers defend Captain America’s right to ‘admire his own bum’ after ‘controversial’ joke

Chris Evans/Captain America

Avengers: Endgame writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have indignantly defended Captain America’s right to ‘admire his own a**.’

A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do, right?

While fans – and the cast – were obsessed with the ‘America’s a**’ gag in the final movie, co-director Joe Russo branded it ‘probably the most controversial joke in the whole movie.’

Um, we’re not so sure about that.

‘Controversial for all of us,’ he added on the DVD commentary. ‘That was hotly debated.’

However, with a deleted scene showing Chris Evans strolling up to a framed portrait of his own behind and clearly admiring it, the writers took it upon themselves to come to his defence.

‘How often does a man have the opportunity to admire his own a** from that perspective? You have to take it,’ Christopher pointed out.

Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus
The pair had some strong opinions on the matter (Picture: Getty Images)

Stephen agreed, adding: ‘You can’t not do it.’

Too true, guys.

Meanwhile, Captain America fans will be happy to hear that the pair also love the idea of there being two Steves in the MCU timeline. Um, us too. Obviously.

At the end of Endgame, Cap made the decision to go back in time and replace the Infinity Stones in their own timeline before finding Peggy – whom he’d fallen in love with during World War II – and staying in that timeline.

The character’s decision however left some fans confused if that meant that there were two Captain America’s in the MCU timeline now, or if his actions simply created an alternate timeline.

And if it meant there were two Captain America’s, it meant that they were both at Peggy’s funeral, which we saw on screen in Civil War.

‘We’ve had public disagreements with [directors Anthony and Joe Russo] about what it necessarily means,’ said Markus, ‘but I love the idea of there being two Steve Rogers in the timeline.’

‘One who lived a long life with Peggy and is in the background of that funeral scene watching his young self carry his wife’s coffin up. Not just for the time travel mumbo jumbo of it, but for the just weird, personal pain and satisfaction that would be happening between two Steve Rogers there. I kind of love it.’

He told the LA Times: ‘I would very much like that. There is no set explanation for Cap’s time travel.’

He’s no stranger to the stage and has already held parts in West End shows including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium and The Lion King at the Lyceum.

He also played Sadiq in children’s science fiction show, The Sparticle Mystery.

His other appearances include EastEnders, Da Vinci’s Demons, Blue Peter, Top Class and Saturday Mash Up.

He is currently working on a travel and sport documentary, A Week to Beat the World, where he takes children to countries such as Guatemala, Brazil and Japan where they will try their hand at the country’s national sports.

What has Karim Zeroual said about Strictly?

Karim has expressed his excitement over participating in the show, but also at being able to wear its flamboyant wares.

He said: ‘To be offered the chance to take part in Strictly is dumbfounding, I’m pinching myself!’

The presenter continued: ‘I’m so excited to be Strictlified. I want THE LOT. The skimpiest of clothes, the widest of flares, the brightest of colours and the tallest Cuban heel a guy can find! The more flamboyant the better… sequins galore please!!’

When does Strictly 2019 start?

The series kicks off on BBC in autumn, and the rest of the line up will be revealed over the next few months.

Shenae Grimes has paid tribute to Luke Perry ahead of the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot.

Yes, the 29-year-old who played Annie Wilson in the first remake of the classic series, has taken to her YouTube account in full anticipation of the show’s comeback.

Although she won’t be starring in the upcoming drama, that hasn’t stopped the actress from getting excited to see the OG characters reunite on screen later this month.

And while she was having a mad fan girl moment, the mother-of-one recalled the time she met Luke, who was cast as the heartthrob Dylan McKay.

After obsessing about her crush on the late star, she laughed about how the universe brought them together away from any glamorous Hollywood event.

‘It was something that really stuck out to me,’ Shenae said: ‘And is a memory that will stay with me for ever and ever, but he left such a positive impression on me within that 45 seconds.’

Talking about the actor who sadly passed away this year after suffering from a ‘massive’ stroke, she added: ‘From the gist of everything I’ve seen from his friends and family and everyone that has worked with him, he was just that guy.

‘I was heartbroken when I heard the news, along with all of his fans because he had stolen our hearts many, many years ago, and I’m still sending all of my love to his family members.’

Getting to her point, the star explained: ‘Basically what happened was, I was at a restaurant, which has tandem parking, and I needed to move my car because I was blocking someone in.’

Yes, you guessed right, she was blocking in Luke!

‘I saw Luke Perry walking towards the back area where the cars were parked,’ Shenae smiled before adding: ‘So obviously I had to say something and I had like four seconds to make that decision, he was like walking, walking, walking, and I was like, “I’ve got to do it now.”’

She continued: ‘I just dove towards him, lunged if you will, and I knocked over a chair on the way over to him, and I was like, “Hi, I’m Shenae, I’m playing a character on the new 90210…”’

The YouTuber then turned the speed up on her video, and got real chipmunk on us, before joking; ‘I scared the sh** out of him basically. But it was magical, okay? It just was.’ We believe you gal.

At the time of his death, Shenae wrote a sweet tribute to Luke on her Instagram, where she mirrored the same message.

‘He made an impact on my life that he’ll never know and I’m sure so many people who had the privilege to meet him along with those who were fans from afar feel the exact same,’ she insisted.

‘Rest In Peace Luke Perry. Sending his family and friends all my love and condolences.’

Which Love Island contestants have gone on to star in other reality TV shows?

Love Island may be over for the summer, but it’s only the start for many islanders who have walked out to enjoy a barrage of clothing deals, club appearances and of course – more television debuts.

With Amy Hart landing herself a place on the Loose Women panel as soon as she left the villa and Maura already filling the role of agony aunt on This Morning, it’s no exaggeration to say that a Love Island appearance can be a golden ticket to getting a television career – particularly in reality TV.

So what former Love Island contestants have gone on to appear in other reality TV shows over the years?

Celebrity Big Brother

2017 Love Island star Jonny Mitchell entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2018 and was evicted just one week before the final.

Gabby Allen – also from the 2017 series – joined CBB in 2018, where she came in sixth place.

Dancing on Ice

2017’s Kem Cetinay took to the rink in series 10 of Dancing on Ice, before he was booted off at the semi-final stage.

Wes Nelson – from the 2018 show – followed in his footsteps and joined the cast one year later, where he came second place, together with partner Vanessa Bauer.

Celebs Go Dating

Celebs Go Dating is perhaps a natural choice for any former Love Islander as it also requires contestants willing to expose their deepest insecurities in order to try to find love on camera.

The first Love Islander to make an appearance on the show was the late Mike Thalassitis who starred in season 4.

Season 5 featured Olivia Attwood and Eyal Booker, while Georgia Steel and Jack Fowler joined for season 6.

Jack Fincham and Megan Barton Hanson have signed up to the agency for the upcoming series, which will air on Monday 5 August.

Could one of them be the first Love Island hopeful to find true love on the show?

Megan has apparently already found a potential partner in the form of Demi Sims who is also starring on the show.

Ex on the Beach

Another obvious choice for any singletons looking for love in sunny climates: Ex on the Beach has scooped up a few former Love Island contestants over the years.

The seventh series of the MTV reality show featured Max Morley who won Love Island 2015 together with then-partner Jessica Hayes.

Joshua Ritchie, who came third the same year, starred on season 6.

Mike Thalassitis starred in the last season of the MTV reality TV show, but producers decided not to air it.

The Challenge

2017 Love Island stars Georgia Harrison and Theo Campbell have both made appearances on MTV’s reality game show, The Challenge.

Theo Campbell made an impressive $200,000 (£164,487) in the show, which pits together cast members to compete for the chance to win a cash prize.

Love Island spin-offs

Ah, then there’s the spin-off ITV shows which have followed popular romances and bromances from the villa.

There was 2018’s Jack & Dani: Life After Love Island, which followed winners Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer as they navigated life outside the villa.

Then there was 2017’s Chris and Olivia: Crackin’ On which followed Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood’s fiery make up and break ups.

And who could forget Chris & Kem Straight Outta Love Island, featuring the bants between Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay?

The disco-infused pop track is matched with equally enchanting visuals full of high-fashion glamour and moonlight.

In a statement, Young described the song as being something ‘for everyone that sparkles at night in the moonlight.

The eight-piece band – made up of Tiffany, Taeyeon, Sunny, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Yoona, Sooyoung and Seohyun (Jessica left in 2014) – became one of the most popular, lucrative and forward-thinking bands in recent K-pop history.

The girls celebrated ten years as a band in 2017, with K-pop classics including Gee and I Got A Boy in their arsenal.

And even though the group have gone their seperate ways, the ladies came together on August 1 to celebrate Tiffany’s birthday together.

Too cute!

Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury tipped to last as Dr Alex George advises over trolls

Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have faced more than their fair amount of ‘fake’ critics since they first got together in the villa.

But Alex George is adamant they will go the distance.

In fact, the doctor has tipped Tolly to last the longest out of all of this year’s couples – despite losing out at the final to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea.

When asked who he thought would go the distance, he told Metro.co.uk exclusively: ‘Tommy and Molly-Mae have the strongest chance of lasting, they’ve been together the longest.

‘They’ve developed a stronger bond, they’ve got probably the best chance, in my opinion.’

Dr Alex didn’t have the easiest time in the villa, and found himself attacked by trolls over his behaviour on the show, as well as his sunburn.

And, after Jordan Hames and Michael Griffiths came under fire for their ‘gaslighting’ antics at the end of the series, he offered the pair a few words of wisdom on how to deal with the public fury ahead of tomorrow’s reunion.

‘The important thing is to come out and say, “I made a mistake, people do make mistakes”,’ he continued.

Discussing Jordan’s antics – when he made a move on India Reynolds just hours after getting into a relationship with Anna Vakili – he added: ‘I’m sure he realises it was the wrong thing to do, apologise to people involved and take it on the chin in some ways.

‘People will forgive and forget but it just takes time.’

Alex is currently fronting the Hotels.Com SPF campaign, encouraging the public to make sure they’re covered up and taking the right precautions over the summer.

Love Island's Anna Vakili and Jordan Hames

Basically, he wants us all to layer it on factor-50 style – especially if we’re getting our bits out and doing a spot of skinny-dipping.

‘Your skin is incredibly delicate, and it is easy to damage in the sun unless you take the right precautions – trust me, I learnt the hard way in the villa,’ he said.

‘However, this is particularly true of skin that is not often exposed to sunlight. I personally can’t think of anything worse than burning your bits, so make sure you slap on the factor 50 this summer!

‘If you go in the pool and you’re doing a bit of skinny-dipping, which we found one third of people are, cover up again when you come out.’

Noted.

Alex’s words come after Molly-Mae hit back at claims she was faking her feelings for Tommy in the villa.

The 19-year-old found herself attacked by trolls on the outside, after she appeared to look bored with the boxer, and flinched at his touch.

But, speaking to Metro.co.uk, she remained adamant there was nothing behind the rumours.

‘Tommy knows how I feel about him, I know how I feel about Tommy,’ she told us.

‘The Islanders know how I feel about him because we made it to the final, we made it through a lot of the Islander votes…

‘I think if I had been fake at all, we definitely wouldn’t have made it that far. The people that really matter to me know how I feel about Tommy, and that’s all that really matters at the end of the day.’

Love Island Aftersun reunion airs on Sunday, at 9pm, on ITV2.

Kylie Minogue doing The Locomotion on a mini train is most incredible thing you’ll see all day

There’s a reason Kylie Minogue is absolute legend – and watching her rope her whole team in to do The Locomotion on a miniature steam train in Scarborough is definitely part of it.

Ahead of this weekend’s performance at Brighton Pride, Kylie practised her moves in the unlikely location, and got all of her crew involved too.

She released Locomotion in 1988, and it’s not really a surprise she knows the moves like the back of her hand seeing as she has been perfecting them for over 30 years.

Her team have also been working on the iconic moves, doing every ‘chug chug’ and flappy hands motion, well, with ease obviously.

You can pretty much bet that Kylie will bring some of her old classics to this weekend’s performance, if her set at Glastonbury is anything to go by.

And she’s got enough to choose from given her enormous back catalogue of hits.

This looks like so much fun (Picture: @kylieminogue)

The 51-year-old singer (yes, seriously… we can’t believe it either) was performing in Scarborough on Thursday night, but she spent her downtime visiting the famous North Bay Railway.

The miniature railway was built in 1931 and runs for almost a mile between Peasholm Park and Scalby Mills in the North Bay area of Scarborough.

It may have been around for almost 90 years but we’re still betting Kylie’s visit is going to be a highlight that makes the history books, too.

As well as larking about on tiny trains, Kylie will be headlining the main stage at Pride in the Park in Brighton this evening.

Over 300,000 people are expected to attend, and a surprise guest will be performing before Kylie’s set.

This year’s event marks 50 years since the Stonewall uprising in New York, widely considered to be one of the most important events in the gay liberation movement.

Scarlett Moffatt has no time for insecurities as she parties at pool on holiday

Scarlett Moffatt has urged fans to be confident in their own skin and not let their insecurities stop them, because she’s a queen.

Taking to Instagram, she posed in an animal-print swimsuit, while on holiday in Spain, and took a second to tell followers: ‘Don’t let your insecurities stop you from having fun!! Pool party ready.’

The former I’m A Celebrity… Extra Camp and Gogglebox star nailed beach party chic with her stylish swimming costume and black beach kimono, paired with a monogrammed bag and a cocktail in hand – an essential, of course.

She has been open about her fluctuating body shape in the past, admitting she is much happier as a size 12 than she ever was when she was a size eight.

Scarlett dropped down from a size 18 in 2016, but admitted that sticking to such a strict diet regimen was stopping her from having fun.

She told The Sun last year: ‘I was so focused on staying slim I stopped being sociable. I was like, “I can’t drink this then I’ll be hungover and I’ll want to eat a McDonald’s breakfast the next day,” so I never really got into a good routine.’

https://www.instagram.com/p/B0stoQ0lOt1/

The 28-year-old star added: ‘‘Whereas now I like going to the gym but I also like going for food. So for me, it’s not necessarily that I’m the most happy with my body, I’m just happy with life. I’ve got the balance right.

‘I still go to the gym. I can walk upstairs and not get out of breath, so I must be doing alright.’

Scarlett recently revealed that she would no longer be presenting Extra Camp this year alongside Joel Dommett and Joe Swash, the latter of whom is also leaving this year.

Scarlett has previously said she’s happier as a size 12 rather than an eight (Picture: Anthony Harvey/BAFTA/REX)

She posted: ‘After chatting to one of my besties @realjoeswashy and seeing his insta post I thought I would do mine too.

‘For 3 years I have enjoyed a jungle life, being crowned queen of the jungle and having the greatest time presenting extra camp with Swashy and Joel who I now class as best friends.

‘The jungle absolutely changed my life and I am massively grateful to everybody who voted for me whilst in the jungle and for your constant support to date and everybody who tuned in to extra camp.

‘I have got a project that I’ve been working on (alongside my family) that I am very very excited to announce soon. And because of this unfortunately I will not be presenting this year’s extra camp but I will certainly be tuning in LONG LIVE THE JUNGLE.’

It certainly looks like she’s enjoying her time off – we want a glass of whatever that is, stat.

Kerry Katona has hinted that she’s ‘picked herself back up’ following the loss of her ex-husband George Kay, who she shares five-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge with.

The star is currently mourning the death of the 39-year-old, after he died from an apparent drug overdose last month.

However, it seems she is in a better place, as the former Atomic Kitten member shared a cryptic message onto her Instagram.

Taking to the social media platform, she uploaded a quote to her 485,000 followers, which read: ‘I’m a strong woman.

‘Everything that’s hit me in my life, I’ve dealt with on my own. I’ve cried myself to sleep.’

The text went on: ‘I’ve picked myself back up and wiped my tears. I have grown from things that were meant to break me.

‘I get stronger by the day, and I have God to thank for that.’

She followed her post with the caption: ‘Amen. Sending love, light and strength to everyone. Have a beautiful and blessed weekend.’

Fans were quick to comment and sent their well wishes to the reality TV star.

‘You sure have girl, you should be so proud as you are so strong and made something out of your life,’ one wrote while another added: ‘Keep going you’re amazing.’

Someone else wrote: ‘Lovely to have the beautiful, bouncing back Kerry again showing the world how it’s done as always.’

It was alleged that George died after ‘eating a quantity of cocaine’, prompting an investigation of Cheshire Police by police watchdog Independent Office for Police Conduct.

A spokesperson told Metro.co.uk earlier in July: ‘We have begun an investigation.

‘We are examining the contact between the man who sadly died and Cheshire Constabulary, in the hours before his death, following reports concerning his welfare.’

Kerry broke her silence on George’s death in an interview with the Mirror, in which she revealed her ‘relief’ at his death.

Keanu Reeves isn’t moving to UK to run his own farm so we can all calm down

What’s next when you’re a Hollywood star with a whole heap of blockbuster films under your belt? Sadly not starting your own farm in the Cotswolds, if you’re Keanu Reeves.

It had been reported Keanu had secretly visited the UK to look for a suitable property to double up as an ‘artistic commune’ for his friends and a self-sufficient organic farm.

Despite claims the Speed star, 54, apparently has ‘millions to spend’ on the estate and is planning to install a helipad to give him easy and private access to his home, a spokesperson told Metro.co.uk the rumours are ‘absolutely not true’.

Keanu does however have dual-nationality thanks to his British mum – so he is able to spend extended periods of time in the UK.

He currently lives in a £6.5 million mansion in Hollywood, which fans can view from the outside during tours of the stars’ homes – and to be totally honest, we’re not sure we’d want to trade living in sunny LA for running a farm either.

The star has been crowned the internet’s boyfriend of 2019 after his hilarious cameo in Netflix’s Always Be My Maybe, and proved we can never have enough of Mr Reeves in our lives.

Keanu has also been filming for the third Bill and Ted movie, in which he has been seen rocking a serious fake beard and long Mohican hairdo with shaved sides.

Keanu Reeves
Keanu is currently filming for the third instalment of the Bill and Ted franchise (Picture: MEGA)

Bill and Ted 3 comes 30 years after the original movie, and is currently being shot in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The famous phone booth which sent Bill and Ted back in time in the original film has also been spotted on the set – so we are bound to see more time travelling capers from the two hapless main characters.

Sadly it doesn’t look like he’s going to be teleporting himself to the UK to live anytime soon, though – which is a damn shame as we were so ready to have Keanu as an honorary Cotswolds resident.

Bill and Ted 3 is due to be released in August 2020.
