We want to be in Jennifer Aniston’s ‘goddess circle’ as she details famous friends ritual

We would very much like to be in Jennifer Aniston’s so-called ‘goddess circle’ after the actress detailed her group of famous friends.

Counting the likes of Friends co-star Courteney Cox and Jimmy Kimmel’s wife Molly McNearney among her nearest and dearest, the star has revealed a ritual they all partake in.

It sounds more culty than friendly, but we’re still down for an invitation if they’re going.

Jennifer jetted six of her friends out to Mexico for a weekend getaway for her 50th birthday earlier this year, and although their trip didn’t go to plan after their private jet was forced to make an emergency landing, the actress said they still managed to gather around to take part in this goddess time.

According to a recent article on the actor, the ‘goddess circle’ ritual – which they took part in on her milestone birthday to celebrate how far they’ve come, and to toast the star’s next chapter – involves sitting cross-legged on cushions, and passing around a beechwood talking stick decorated with feathers and charms.

Interesting.

In an interview with the New York Times, Jennifer revealed she and her closest friends have been doing their ritual for over three decades, and said they often gather together to do it during one another’s major life events, which have included both of Jennifer’s weddings to former husbands Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux.

The publication reports Jennifer and her pals had also formed their circle when anyone in the group had a child, and most recently gathered when the Just Go With It star and ex-husband Justin had to put down their dog Dolly.

Meanwhile, Jennifer recently said she and her pals ‘got pretty hammered’ when they feared their plane was going to crash, after losing a wheel during take-off and we have to admit we’d do the same thing, girl.

The group boarded a new plane the next day, much to the shock of everyone else.

She said: ‘Everyone was like, “How could you get on another plane?” I was like, “Listen, we all had to fly around for six hours dumping fuel, we all got pretty hammered ’cause who knew what the end of this was gonna be. Let’s go out with some tequila”.’

From Sex Education to Queer As Folk: Netflix celebrates trailblazing LGBT+ television shows in new YouTube series

Netflix is celebrating queer television shows across the board with its brand new YouTube series Queer Nostalgia launching today.

The streaming platform will publish a number of videos featuring LGBT+ contributors talking about representation on the small-screen from a range of programmes, both past and present.

Two videos see Vicent from Northern Ireland and Mason from Wales discuss the queer content that has defined moments of their lives.

From Queer As Folk to RuPaul’s Drag Race and Sex Education they explain what it’s meant to witness a plethora of characters explore their sexuality in a number of storylines across genres.

‘Queer as Folk seemed to open a door,’ Vincent began. ‘I think for everybody, the first episode set the tone for it.’

Recalling the scenes, Vincent said: ‘Everyone was gay, gay friends, and they were just out for a night together.

‘This young guy was looking for sex and next thing you know he’s copping off and he’s getting naked and getting rimmed. It was exciting.

‘The very first time, seeing as close as you can, to sex on TV. It was this big show and everybody was talking about it.’

Mason added: ‘It was a real chance to learn about gay culture because I had never been to a gay bar before my first year of uni and it fully thrusts you into that world.’

RuPaul’s Drag Race has graced us with its presence since 2009 and for that, we are so thankful.

‘I truly believe RuPaul’s Drag Race is the most diverse representation on TV that you can find,’ Mason said.

Sex Educations'

‘Queer men, the occasional trans person, black people, white people, Latina, people that speak different languages, the whole thing is a message of love.

‘Also, you can follow the journey, it doesn’t end.’

Vincent also named Grace And Frankie, a Netflix comedy which sees two older men come out later on in life, as a show that impacted him.

‘It was lovely seeing an older man coming out,’ he said. ‘It’s good sometimes having a comedy and the characters just being themselves, rather than where a gay character having to be something else bizarre and ridiculous and shocking all the time.’

Grace and Frankie

Meanwhile, Mason believes Sex Education has presented to audiences that straight men and gay men can be friends without any underlying sexual attraction.

‘You see the relationship between a gay man and a straight boy and they’re best friends,’ he said.

‘When I was younger more so, it was always like thing, like, “ew no you’re going to try and sleep with me.”

‘It [Sex Education] allows for straight guys to not receive as much weirdness from their “other” friends.’

Filmmakers Emily McDonald and Christo Geoghegan produced the clips for Netflix to show that honest portrayals of LGBT+ characters in TV and film can have on queer people of all ages.

‘When we were growing up, there wasn’t much content being made for queer people and what little there was, was often difficult to access,’ they said.

‘When you don’t see anyone like you on TV, you’re essentially told you that don’t exist.

‘Nowadays with platforms like Netflix, it’s so much easier for LGBTQ+ people to access queer content; long gone are the days of sneaking down to use your family computer to get your solitary fix of gay content in the form of LiveJournal Buffy + Faith queer fanfic entries, before swiftly and expertly deleting your dial-up internet browser history.’

They added: These films are our love letter to queer characters and storylines and the space they hold in our, and the hearts of other LGBTQ+ people, across the UK & Ireland.’

Kevin Hart is due to be released from hospital on Wednesday, but the comedian is still going to require ‘round the clock’ medical care to help him recover from his injuries.

The actor, 40, was left with three fractures to his spine after being involved in a horrific car accident, when his Plymouth Barracuda – which was driven by a friend at the time – careered off the road and landed 10 feet down into a ditch.

He was unable to move or talk after the accident and needed emergency surgery to fuse the fractures, two of which are in the thoracic region of the spine and one in the lumbar region.

Kevin will be released from hospital this week, but will have a back brace fitted and require ‘round the clock’ care as he recovers at home, The Blast reports.

He is said to be walking again after his surgery but will need at least four months off from work before he can head back to set.

Dwayne Johnson revealed Kevin is doing well, and was lucky to survive the crash: ‘Everything is good, I spoke with Kevin, I actually refer to him as my son. I connected with him today.

‘And you know what? These things happen in life and thankfully he was strapped in nicely to his car seat.

‘I love the guy, he’s one of my best friends. And honestly, I mean, thank God, it could’ve been a lot worse.

‘So, he’s a lucky man, and he knows it too. I wish him the best and a speedy recovery and I’m gonna see him soon.’

It was recently claimed that Kevin’s injuries could have been prevented had the car, which he bought for himself as a 40th birthday present, not been lacking key safety features.

He is expected to make a full recovery, despite spinal fractures often leading to difficulties walking or partial paralysis of the limbs.

Maya Hawke revealed she identified with her Human Capital character because she too ‘struggled’ with her teenage years while everything was changing in her life.

The actor, 21, who plays Shannon in the upcoming movie, revealed: ‘The feeling of trying to remain focused and steady and in your own skin while things are changing around you and fluctuating around you. I think that’s really relatable to your teenage years.

‘When your whole life is changing, your body is changing, your world is changing, your outlook is changing, your relationship to your parents is changing, and somehow, you have to stay in your own skin.

‘That’s something that I really struggled with when I was growing up – which I’m still doing, growing up – and I wanted to give that experience to Shannon, whatever that is,’ she told Deadline.

Maya, who is the daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, is one of the stars of Human Capital, which follows the story of two families whose lives are connected by an ill-fated business deal and a tragic car accident.

Human Capital also stars Live Schrieber as Shannon’s dad, Drew, and Alex Wolff as Shannon’s bad boy boyfriend Ian and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival this week.

Maya also starred as sarcastic Scoops Ahoy waitress Robin Buckley in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, who reveals she’s actually a lesbian while under the influence of truth serum.

However, her first on-screen role was as Jo March in the 2017 adaptation of Little Women and has also modelled for Vogue, Calvin Klein and All Saints outside of her acting career.

She also released two singles this year, To Love A Boy and Stay Open, from her upcoming debut album, proving there really is nothing this talented lady can’t do.

Fear not Jamie Laing fans, because he’s just been invited to participate on the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice.

It looks like the Made In Chelsea might be back on the small-screen competing for victory sooner than we all expected, after being forced to quit Strictly Come Dancing due to sustaining a foot injury.

Jamie, who’s been told he’ll have to wear a moon boot for eight weeks to aid his recovery, joined today’s This Morning where Phillip Schofield asked him whether he’d be better in time for January’s launch show.

‘Well eight weeks, you can skate?’ Phil asked.

‘Oh yeah,’ an excited Holly Willoughby added, ‘you might be ready for Dancing On Ice.’

Jamie replied: ‘Oh hey there, here we go.’

‘But you’re a bit of an accident-prone person,’ Holly remembered. ‘I’m not sure about you on ice.’

Keen to get Jamie onto a reality show, Phil then reminded him that I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is also on the horizon.

He added: ‘There’s the jungle coming up.’

Jamie laughed: ‘Let me do all of them! I’ll jump from one show to the next.’

Now there’s an idea.

Elsewhere in the interview, Jamie relived the horror moment his foot ‘popped’ and described the pain like ‘standing on glass.’

He added that his professional dance partner Oti Mabuse had encouraged him to keep dancing, telling Holly and Phil: ‘I grabbed Oti and said, “Oti something’s happened to my foot,” and she just went, “Dance.”

‘I think with those dancers, they go through pains and struggles the entire time.’

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV and Dancing On Ice returns to ITV2 in January.

He might be nursing a broken heart, but Brooklyn Beckham had his good pal Yungblud to take his mind off Hana Cross as the pair partied with model Kaia Gerber last week.

Brooklyn and Yungblud, real name Dominic Harrison, have struck up a close friendship in recent months and the singer was there to lend a shoulder to cry on to his pal post-split.

The pair were seen leaving Kaia Gerber’s birthday party, with Brooklyn holding hands with Yungblud, with his hand around the singer’s waist, as they waited for their cab outside the Paradise Club in Times Square.

They joined the likes of Kendall Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio and Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon at the star-studded bash to celebrate Kaia turning 18.

It comes after Brooklyn’s split from model Hana was announced in August, after the pair hadn’t been seen together for weeks.

The couple’s last public outing was to Wimbledon in July, and neither has liked or posted any photos of the other since.

Brooklyn, 20, has been in New York for Fashion Week, while Hana celebrated her 23rd birthday in Malibu, California this week.

The couple had been together for nine months, but called time on their relationship following a series of explosive arguments.

His parents, David and Victoria Beckham, are said to be ‘delighted’ the couple are no longer together after their public bust-ups and the ‘negative attention’ their arguments caused.

A source told The Sun: ‘Brooklyn and Hana have called off their romance for good. David and Victoria are very glad and relieved and are backing him 100 per cent.’

The couple had even had a row at the afterparty for Yungblud’s gig at the Electric Ballroom in Camden in March, with photos emerging of Brooklyn sitting in the street on his own after he left the party.

The BBC have been forced to apologise after a segment on online bullying ended in disaster as an x-rated comment was aired to the nation.

The news segment, which was focusing on online trolls and the damage they can cause on the back of Jesy Nelson’s upcoming documentary, showed a photo of model Jada Sezer and the comments she received after posting a snap in gym wear.

However, viewers called in the broadcaster in outrage after one comment declared: ‘I want to f*** you’re a**’ right in the middle of the six o’clock news.

A BBC spokeswoman said: ‘The mistake was spotted immediately and the image was taken down.’

‘Since when has it been acceptable to show such disgusting language in the news?,’ one viewer angrily wrote: ‘This was displayed in your BBC London broadcast today on swim serpentine.’

‘When I saw that comment I could not believe it – I was gobsmacked,’ grandmother Ashleigh Moss added to The Sun.

‘I thought they’d say sorry at the end of it, but there was nothing,’ she said, slamming the ‘disgusting’ standards as a result.

Jada has not commented back on the vulgar message sent to her, or addressed the controversy following the segment airing.

Conversation over online trolling has peaked over the past week as Little Mix star Jesy Nelson revealed that the hatred she received caused her to attempt suicide.

Thankfully, her boyfriend at the time was able to help her and get her to hospital.

She’s now fronting a documentary highlighting the dangers of social media trolls, opening up about her own experiences with them at the same time.

Ad Astra review: Brad Pitt saves daddy issues drama that leaves you cold

$

Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt leads Ad Astra (Picture; New Regency)

Brad Pitt brings empathy and an awards-worthy to a slow burn drama that asks us to care about another man and his daddy issues but ultimately leaves you feeling cold.

In Ad Astra (latin for ‘to the stars’ and shortened from the usual phrase Per aspera ad astra, or ‘through hardships to the stars’), Tommy Lee Jones’ Clifford McBride has been missing in space for decades after his exploratory project to find intelligent life – the Lima Project – goes offline.

His son Roy (Pitt) is now a celebrated Major in the US space force (his pulse has never gone above 80 bpm even when in danger) and has been asked to travel to Mas to send a message to his father – whom they now believe to still be alive – in the hopes he will respond.

Set in the near future, humanity has expanded to the moon and Mars, although our propensity for warfare, animal testing disputes over land continue even on new planets with a thrilling buggy chase between the US government and space pirates across the dark side of the moon one of the bright spots of this slow, quiet film.

Voiceovers by Pitt’s McBride give us a glimpse into his psyche and allow us to realise that despite his stoic persona, and ability to seemingly remain level-headed and tight-lipped at all times, there is a storm brewing inside as he battles with not only his father’s sins but his own.

Ad Astra
Ad Astra asks us to consider how we atone for these sins of our fathers (Picture: New Regency)

Ad Astra asks us to consider how we atone for these sins of our fathers; as McBride realises his own dad may not have been the hero he believed him to be, he is faced with his own reckoning and the choice to reconcile the man he thought he was with the man he wants to be.

References to God are beautifully littered throughout James Gray and Ethan Gross’ screenplay – from prayers sent to St Christopher to the belief by Clifford that he is ‘doing God’s work’ – but at the same time, the script is all so blindingly obvious you can’t help but roll your eyes; there is no intelligent life, man will play God no matter the year and ‘we are all we have’.

Ad Astra is helped along by Hoyte Van Hoytema’s stunning cinematography and Max Richter’s score (Van Hoytema regularly works with Christopher Nolan which doesn’t help comparisons to work such as Interstellar) but although it’s all very pretty to look at and listen to, it doesn’t bring any joy or warmth to the experience.

Small supporting roles from Donald Sutherland, Liv Tyler, Natasha Lyonne and Ruth Negga help to expand McBride’s world and remind him – and us – through their small personal tragedies that there is more to life than the one he has chosen.

But this is Pitt’s film.

You can’t take your eyes off him as he goes from Earth to the moon, to Mars and on to Neptune in the hopes of reconciliation with his father.

His performance brings a depth to the story and evokes an empathy that would be missing without him.

But although the adage of less is more works for Pitt, Ad Astra is left floating adrift.

Ad Astra is out in the UK on 18 September.

Disney sells off FoxNext games division, new Aliens game in doubt

Alien Isolation - true horror
The only thing scarier than the alien is Disney’s business execs

20th Century Fox’s games division is about to be sold, putting games like Marvel Strike Force and Alien: Blackout in jeopardy.

Disney has never liked video games. They experimented a bit in the 90s, with the likes of the soon-to-be remastered Aladdin and The Lion King proving very popular at the time, but as gaming evolved Disney quickly lost interest.

Occasionally they published games themselves, or experimented with having their own in-house developers, but mostly they just farmed out their licences to other random companies – as they’re doing now with EA and Star Wars.

The wait for any decent Marvel tie-ins on consoles has gone on seemingly forever but although that has finally started to happen it doesn’t seem to be translating to anything else.

Disney acquired FoxNet, 20th Century Fox’s two-year-old game division, when they bought everything else to do with the company, but according to Bloomberg they’ve already decided to sell it.

Who will buy it and what will happen to current games, such as the highly successful mobile title Marvel Strike Force – which raked in $150 million (£121m) in its first year – is unclear.

After mobile game Alien: Blackout, FoxNet was also working on a new Alien-themed shooter. But there’s no indication on whether that will survive the sale.

Predator: Hunting Grounds should be safe though as it’s being published by Sony, as an exclusive, and is due out next year.

As usual, it was CEO Bob Iger who made the decision, with other execs arguing to keep FoxNet.

‘We’ve just decided that the best place for us to be in that space is licensing and not publishing,’ said Iger in regards to video games.

It’s worth remembering that Disney also owns LucasArts (acquired in a similar, accidental, fashion to FoxNet) and all their franchises, such as Monkey Island and Grim Fandago, but they’ve never shown any interest in doing anything with them and they probably never will.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Catherine Tyldesley almost voms on pro partner Johannes Radebe during training

Strictly Come Dancing has already been packed with drama before it’s begun and this time it’s Catherine Tyldsley who’s feeling the strain.

Last week Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing was forced to quit Strictly Come Dancing after injuring his foot at the launch show, almost immediately after he was paired with fan favourite Oti Mabuse.

But the intense training is getting the better of the rest of the cast too, with former Coronation Street actress Catherine almost vomiting on her professional partner Johannes Radebe.

Oh, Cath.

The 35-year-old shared a grim video to her Instagram, revealing all.

‘Do we really want to talk about what happened? It’s all going to be okay… I wasn’t sick. I didn’t vomit on you yet… I retched,’ she told her 531,000 followers.

‘It’s day two, nobody panic. I am going to have a strong coffee. Tomorrow is a better day.’

Fingers crossed.

At the other end of the spectrum, Kevin Clifton has been blown away by his partner Anneka Rice after it was claimed the 2018 Strictly champion was ‘fuming’ with his celebrity partner.

Stacey Dooley’s boyfriend was forced to shut down the reports after fans began badgering the 36-year-old on Twitter.

‘Oh it’s ridiculous I just laugh nowadays. As usual a completely made up story,’ he hit back.

When a fan asked if he’s ‘got the camel’ after being paired with Anneka, Kevin replied: ‘Course not. Shes ace [sic].’

Anneka recently posted a video following her first day of training with Kevin and seemed particularly chuffed about their partnership.

‘I loved that so much,’ Anneka beamed in the clip. ‘Honestly Kevin I think that’s almost the best day I’ve had in my entire life.

‘I’m spoiled Kevin. I love you. I’m really buzzing as they say on Love Island.’

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on September 21.

As an actor, I don’t want to see Joe Sugg in Waitress

$

Unlike the millions of unemployed performers across the world who have trained their whole life to get on stage, Joe has never trained for this job (Picture: Neil Mockford/GC Images)

Imagine training hard all your life for one goal, and then somebody else who has never trained in the same profession makes it to the top in an instant – all because they’ve made a name for themselves elsewhere.

Well, that’s no strange occurrence in the world of performing arts. Recently, as I’m sure you’re aware by now, the YouTube sensation Joe Sugg was just cast as a lead role in the West End hit musical, Waitress.

When I first found out that this was true, part of me was very angry. Now, I am not slamming Joe in any way, as I am very aware of the fact that he has done so well for himself in the profession of vlogging and social media. He’s made a name for himself – which is great!

However, unlike the millions of unemployed performers across the world who have trained their whole life to get on stage, Joe has never trained for this job. Many of those performers, including myself, could only dream of being cast as a lead in such a well-known musical as our first on-stage role.

But the sad truth is, that opportunity won’t come about so easily, as increasingly roles are being given to TV or online personalities with no experience whatsoever.

I’ve been training in musical theatre for almost 13 years now. I have just made the move to NYC to study performing arts at the American Musical Theatre Academy, and I, like millions of others, hope to one day grace the stage on the West End or Broadway.

But with the industry changing each day, will I ever get that opportunity? Just to put things into perspective, out of two million arts graduates who were surveyed in 2014, only 10 per cent were working artists.

The performing industry is slowly changing into a more commercialised industry. Instead of finding new talent and giving more opportunities to those who work for it, roles are now given out to big names, in order to boost the profile of the show or movie being made, and ultimately sell more tickets.

Even in musical film adaptations, casts are often made up of big name stars without theatrical experience, like in the upcoming adaptation of Cats, where every role is a big celebrity except one: ballerina Francesca Hayward.

As excited as I am to see Taylor Swift prance around the screen, I would much rather see someone else make a name for themselves, over someone who’s already made it.

Perhaps this is what must be done in order for musicals to make money in 2019. But I find it sad that a generation of people would rather see someone in a musical who is an untrained TV or social media star, rather than discover fresh new talent. Unfortunately, that’s the way the cookie is crumbling… or should I say pie, for the sake of Joe Sugg in Waitress.

If we stopped casting celebrities and reality stars who already have a name for themselves, maybe the percentage of trained performers who actually manage to make a career for themselves in the arts would increase just a little.

At least it would mean more fresh faces would grace our stages – which could only be a good thing.

Downton Abbey’s Imedla Staunton has revealed there was a Harry Potter reunion that took place on-set of the Downton Abbey film.

The actress, who played Dolores Umbrdige in the movie franchise, was reunited with Maggie Smith as they shot the next chapter beyond the hit ITV series due to hit cinema screens on Friday

Joining Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning to talk about what’s in store for Lady Bagshwaw in the hotly-anticipated sequel, Phil pointed out: ‘Well, fans went mad because it’s like this ridiculous Harry Potter reunion, it’s McGonagall and Umbridge back together again.’

Imelda explained what it was like to work with Maggie aka Minerva McGonagall and queen Dowager Countess again, recalling: ‘It was very nice.

‘Before Harry Potter, Maggie and I did David Copperfield where Daniel Radcliffe was David Copperfield back in the early sixteenth century.’

Imelda continued: ‘It was great to be back with her. She’s got those lines and no one can say them like her. No one.

‘We could all be given those lines and none of us could deliver them like Maggie.’

Imelda and Maggie went head-to-head in Harry Potter when Umbridge first arrived in the Order Of The Phoneix in 2007.

Umbridge later returned for Deathly Hallows Part 1, with McGonagall making a comeback for the final installment.

Many familiar faces from the TV show are making a return to Downton and appearing in the movie, including the likes of Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary Talbot, Hugh Bonneville as the Earl of Grantham, Elizabeth McGovern as the Countess of Grantham and Jim Carter as Charles Carson.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.

The excitement is building over Activision’s upcoming Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot, with the beta version almost within reach for PlayStation 4 players.

As of today, PlayStation 4 owners wanting to get a first taste of the action are able to preload the beta client in anticipation of it going live this week.

The open beta will be available for the first time on the dates of 14, 15 and 16 September but any fans who have pre-ordered the game can get early access on the 12 and 13 September. And who said Friday 13th was bad luck?

Those who pre-ordered digitally can now head on to the PlayStation Store to preload the client. If you’re more of a physical copy kind of player, a link will be e-mailed to all those who pre-ordered the disc – but clear some space as it’s an eye-watering 27.52GB. Still, it’s worth the download to be able to get involved in the hotly anticipated game and see what it has to offer.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare - beta dates at a glance

September 14-16 (Open beta)

Cross-Play

If you’re an Xbox One or PC gamer, you’re going to have to wait a little longer. The next open beta session will launch on 19 September, where those who pre-ordered for either of those platforms can finally get in on it.

Finally, between 21 and 23 September, all players on all platforms will have full access to participate in the open beta. So whether or not you have taken the plunge and pre-ordered a version of the game, there will be a chance for you to try it out ahead of the game’s release.

The second beta will also offer the first chance to use the cross-play feature, which allows players to enjoy Modern Warfare with others on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare will release on 25 October.

Poor Kim Kardashian – even her law tutors think she’s cheating on legal exams

Kim’s actually quite good at this law thing (Picture: NBCUniversal)

As Kim Kardashian goes full steam ahead on her legal career, it seems no one is believing she’s taking it at all seriously with the reality star admitting even her tutors thought she cheated on a recent exam.

No, guys, Kim is just actually smart, alright? Is that so hard to believe?

Detailing how she’s going as she strives to become a criminal justice lawyer, after finding quite the knack with getting prisoners freed from jail in the US as of late, she’s been hitting the books.

Despite the eye rolls and venomous remarks from the naysayers who think it’s all for show, Kim revealed this week she’s acing her exams.

Take that, world.

Still, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is evidently impressing her mentors, who, it appears, had lesser hopes for their potential protégé.

‘I took a test a week ago and my attorneys, who are overseeing everything, they said, “If I wasn’t sitting here watching you take this test, I would have totally thought you cheated”,’ the star told Today on Tuesday.

‘I don’t know if I’m really good under pressure and I logically really think about how I would handle something and how the law is… I love it.

‘I love being a part of the Cut50 family, who has taken on this apprenticeship – how you can do it in California and study the law this way… I’m so passionate about it.’

In New York during the glitzy fashion week, the mogul has had to dip out of all the amazingly fabulous events she’s definitely getting invited to, saying she ‘has to stay in to study’.

Showing how she’s putting her studies before her social life, the 38-year-old skipped out on Labour Day celebrations, as she shared a video on her Instagram Stories of her textbook and detailed notes for the notoriously difficult bar exam, which she plans to take in 2022.

Kim, who began a four-year apprenticeship with a San Francisco law firm last year, announced: ‘While everyone is probably at a barbecue, I am studying contracts today.’

If the star passes the ‘baby bar’ this summer, she’ll get the OK to keep studying for three more years.

Kimmy proved she’s beauty and brains back in April, when she announced that she’ll be pursuing a career in law, 12 years after rising to prominence on E!’s reality show about her family.

Since becoming a mum, Kim has used her profile for social activism, meeting with President Donald Trump several times to discuss prison reform.

Kit Harington is the latest celeb to man the phones at the 15th annual BGC charity day in Canary Wharf – here’s hoping he secured some massive deals.

The charity day always attracts a host of celebs, and is in honour of BGC’s 658 colleagues and the Eurobrokers’ 61 employees who lost their lives in the 9/11 terror attacks in New York.

Kit looked animated as he took to the trading floor on 11 September to help raise thousands of pounds for the charity.

He gave the Wolf of Wall Street a run for his money as he looked frenzied while discussing a deal with another broker – and hopefully securing the big bucks in the process.

The Game Of Thrones star wasn’t the only famous face who stopped by to lend a hand – Prince Harry was also in attendance, at one point holding two phones to his ears simultaneously.

Harry is said to have secured a £1billion transaction, of which £50,000 will be paid to the charity – even Jordan Belfort would be proud of that one.

Other celebs trying their hand at being traders for the day included comedians Jimmy Carr and Alan Carr, London Mayor Sadiq Khan and Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch.

Inbetweeners actor Blake Harrison and sports presenter Gabby Logan were also seen manning the phones as they all descended on Canary Wharf for the charity day.

The BGC charity day began in 2005 as a way of remembering the victims of 9/11, when 2,996 people were killed in coordinated terror attacks in New York, including two passenger planes being flown into the World Trade Center.

For the past six consecutive years, the charity day has raised $12million (£9.7million) world wide each year thanks to their celebrity helpers.

Wiley and Drake
The Wiley vs Drake beef has reared its head again…

Wiley has reignited his feud with Drake, and even involved Ed Sheeran and Nicki Minaj as the Godfather of Grime launched into yet another epic Twitter rant.

He took to Twitter to announce ‘the war has started’ as he slammed both Drake and Ed as ‘pagans’ and ‘the 2 worse [sic] culture vultures on this planet’.

Wiley, real name Richard Kylea Cowie Jr, claimed Drake was holding back on clearing Popcaan for his latest collaboration with the dancehall star and Nicki Minaj, who won’t be in the video as she prepares to start a family instead.

He also slammed Ed Sheeran for his latest song Take Me Back To London featuring Stormzy, which he claimed was using ‘his sound’.

Wiley tweeted: ‘“You need me man I don’t need you” Ben and Ed told you to write that song but they didn’t realise you would need my sound 1 day eventually. Pagan.’

He also tweeted to Drake: ‘Suck ya mum don’t come back to England’ and ‘Get that BBK [Boy Better Know] tattoo out of here as well you pagan’.

It’s not the first time Drake and Wiley have clashed – the Grime Pioneer has previously accused Drake of being a ‘culture vulture’ after he brought out UK artists during his Assassination Vacation tour.

Drake responded on 1Xtra, saying: ‘I like to enjoy what’s going on… I appreciate like all these young people creating all these things. It takes some real energy and synergy to create a good song.

‘We were joking today about the comment that my boy left on the picture or whatever or on the video of me at Loski’s show.

‘I hate that people think that me being into music from these kids that are trying to make it and trying to build a name for themselves is like “oh that’s some culture vulture…” what does that even mean?

Wiley tweet

‘I don’t understand what that means. Would you rather me not acknowledge anything or support? Like that’s some real like confused hater s**t. But it is what it is.’

He even went so far as to call Wiley out by name, saying: ‘I just had to talk about it because it’s bothering me.

‘But yeah I didn’t like that and it was Wiley that said that. I’ll just say his name because that was some goofy s**t. Man can chat what they want. If it’s a ting, let me know.’

Over to you, Drizzy…

Dancing On Ice star Jayne Torvill has said she will ‘miss’ Jason Gardiner’s straight-talking.

Jason quit the show earlier this year with John Barrowman replacing him in 2020.

Jayne, one half of the British ice-skating icons Torvill and Dean, paid tribute to Jason at the TV Choice Awards.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk and other press at the TV Choice Awards, she welcomed John to the panel, saying: ‘I think he will bring some fair criticism. He might be quite harsh but I think he will explain it in a fun way.

‘I think we will miss Jason and his straight forward comments.’

She went on: ‘We worked with John in the first series and he was actually really quite good.

‘Growing up in Canada he had skated a little bit as a youngster. We had real high hopes for him but he went out maybe fourth week or something. Found himself in the skate off and I think he was a bit nervous and he
made a big mistake. I think he fell or something. So there was no way the judges could keep him in, so it was a shock he went out so early.

‘So it’s nice that he can come back even in a different capacity and be part of the show again.’

It was previously rumoured that ITV were looking to replace Jason in order to avoid a ‘bullying row’ in the wake of his on-air spat with Gemma Collins this year.

The Towie star accused Jason of ‘selling stories’ about her, while the choreographer branded Gemma lazy and dished out withering criticisms about her skating.

Dancing On Ice returns to ITV in 2020.

The Chase stars Mark Labbett and Shaun Wallace have been ruled out of this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! despite Anne Hegerty’s triumphant stint in 2018.

The Governess left her frosty character at home to win over viewers with her charm, bravely opening up about her Asperger’s Syndrome and becoming a hero for thousands of fans, most notably for a child also with the condition who penned the fan letter of all fan letters.

Sadly, it doesn’t sound like we’ll be getting another quiz master from immensely popular quiz show heading to the jungle this year as Mark – aka The Beast – has revealed The Chase cast will be heading Down Under, but for The Chase Australia.

‘[I’m] not allowed to reveal too much but Anne, Shaun [Wallace] and me are doing some filming for ITV that involves travelling,’ Mark told press including Metro.co.uk at Monday night’s TV Choice Awards.

‘I can confirm I am not doing the jungle this year because I will be in Melbourne filming The Chase Australia until December.

‘It’s in the same country but I am going to Melbourne, not Brisbane. Just in case anyone says they’ve seen The Beast on the plane to Australia.’

Mark admitted his fame has put a strain on his family (Picture: Rex Features)

Mark – who confirmed he’s still with his wife Katie Labbett on Loose Women yesterday after reports of a split – also told us how his newfound fame as one of the brightest stars in the UK has put a strain on his family.

‘I bless the fact we started small and slow back in 2009. You probably wouldn’t have bothered with us back then,’ he said.

‘It’s harder for your friends and family because when they see it in action they go, “What?”

‘At the FA Cup semi-final a few years ago, I stopped counting at 500 selfies. The problem is people have a bit to drink and when they have a photo with me they don’t notice who you’re with.’

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm while I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is expected to return in November.

Aaron Carter has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

The 31-year-old confirmed the news in an upcoming two-part interview on The Doctors, which is set to air later this week.

The singer explained he’s suffering from several different mental illnesses, including multiple personality disorder and anxiety.

According to TMZ, he also defined himself as being manic depressant, telling the studio audience he had ‘nothing’ to hide.

In a clip obtained by the publication, Nick Carter’s brother said: ‘The official diagnosis is that I suffer from multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety, [and] I’m manic depressant.’

He then revealed a bag full of the medication he has been prescribed by doctors, including Xanax, omeprazole, hydroxyzine and more.

Addressing the audience, he added: ‘This is my reality. Hi, I have nothing to hide.’

Aaron’s interview on The Doctors will air in two parts, on 12 and 13 September.

The news comes after he was visited by the police at his home last month, when family members urged them to carry out a ‘wellness check’ amid fears for his mental health.

However, an insider said the checks came after a ‘false alarm’.

‘He is not suicidal. He was basically swatted – this was a false alarm,’ they said at the time. ‘He has been working a lot and busy.’

He also insisted he is ‘on the other side’ of his tough times, after a tough few years.

Discussing his ordeal, Aaron added to TMZ: ‘On a scale of one to 10, what’s my mental stability? 100,000. Infinite!

‘Because throughout my 20s I went through bankruptcy, I went through being broke four times, I went through losing my sister, I went through so many different mental …

‘And now [I’m on the other side of that].’

Renee Zellweger has had a standing ovation fit for royalty at the Toronto Film Festival.

The 50-year-old is starring in the new Judy Garland movie, Judy, which follows the late actress’s financial struggles and addiction.

And while the film is not yet released, it seems it is already a hit with fans.

Taking to Twitter, Variety reporter Jenelle Riley shared the touching moment Renee received the praise she deserved.

Writing alongside a short video of a crowd cheering on the star, she wrote: ‘In 15 years at #TIFF I have never seen a standing ovation like the one for Renee Zellweger at JUDY.

‘I started this about a minute into it and it only stopped because she made us.’

At the end of the video, Renee can be heard joking: ‘OK quit it – you’re messing up my makeup!’

Fans were quick to comment, and congratulated the A-lister on her success.
