Amanda Bynes has appeared to debut a new face tattoo.

The She’s The Man star has had a tough few months, after reportedly ‘fleeing’ the sober facility she was staying in, before returning to her parents’ home.

But the 33-year-old is feeling the love as she showed off the new ‘inking’ on Instagram.

In a rare snap shared with her 190k followers, she could be seen posing for the camera while relaxing on the sofa.

And the actress showed off the new, slightly lopsided heart design which sits on her cheek.

However, she has not made it clear if the new addition is permanent or just temporary fun, simply captioning the shot with an alien emoji.

Amanda recently made headlines after it was reported that she had fled the sober living facility she had been staying at, in December.

An insider claimed to E! News that the Easy A star had also dropped out of the bachelor degree course she had been working towards.

But they stressed she was ‘not doing drugs’ again, insisting she is ‘mentally and physically’ okay.

‘She has access to her money so she’s financially independent. [She’s] not doing drugs again [but it is] always the concern,’ the source told the publication.

‘She may not go back [to the facility], but again, she’s not doing drugs and mentally and physically she’s okay.

‘She does not have to go back but it’s unclear what’s going to happen.’

They added that she was ‘open to getting help’ following previous battles with drugs and her parents were ‘reassured that she’s doing well and okay and that everything is back on track.’

Amanda has made a slow return to the spotlight following her drug-fuelled years and bizarre Twitter rants, joining Instagram last September and giving fans updates on her life.

In a candid chat with Paper Magazine in 2018, she explained that she was ‘ashamed’ of her behaviour in the past – including that infamous tweet admitting she wanted Drake to ‘murder her vagina’.

‘I’m really ashamed and embarrassed with the things I said. I can’t turn back time but if I could, I would,’ she told the publication.

‘And I’m so sorry to whoever I hurt and whoever I lied about because it truly eats away at me.

‘It makes me feel so horrible and sick to my stomach and sad. Everything I worked my whole life to achieve, I kind of ruined it all through Twitter. But it’s definitely not Twitter’s fault — it’s my own fault.’

To celebrate the New Year YouTubers PewDiePie and Marzia Kjellberg threw a party and it looked all kinds of amazing.

Yes, it’s official, we have fomo.

The stars – who tied the knot last year – invited friends, including fellow YouTuber Jacksepticeye, around to their crib to celebrate with Marzia cooking up quite the feast by the looks of things.

Ahead of the party, she took to her Instagram to share an insight into preparations as Pewds – real name Felix Kjellberg – was seen pottering about in the living room getting things ready, as Marzia unveiled the food.

The oven was stocked full, while snacks were seen laid out in bowls on the kitchen bench and settings were meticulously placed on the dining table.

Later on, as things got underway, Marzia shared selfies of her cuddling up with her husband as they beamed for the camera and capped off a rollercoaster of a year (that unfortunately involved a lowpoint when their house broken into).

Brushing off any negatives of the year, Marzia shared a video of fireworks which marked the turn of the decade, and simply captioned the post: ‘Happy New Year’.

Simple. To the point. We like it.

The fest was attended by the who’s who of the YouTube community including Jaiden Animations, Gab Smolders and Roomie as they all gathered on a staircase and posed for a photo, holding what appeared to be bubble blowers.

It’s really quite the roll call.

It comes after Pewds this week shared on his channel his thoughts about stealth photos with fans. To him, he believes the whole palaver is rude.

‘People taking photos in secret is rude and annoying and cringey as hell because I can see it a lot of times happening,’ he laughed as he explained his interactions with certain fans who go wild for the star.

‘I hate the fact people look at me like I’m some sort of attraction, I’m a person like everyone else and I want be treated like a person. I don’t think that’s too much to ask,’ he explained, shining a light on how crazy it must be to head out in public when you’ve got over 100million subscribers.

‘I hate the whole culture […], I’m so tired of it.’

Even though he recently announced he was going to be stepping back from the platform for a break in 2020, he was closing out 2019 with a bang as he didn’t let up on the videos.

Earlier this week he created his own version of YouTube Rewind for the second year and fans were dubbing it better than the real thing. The YouTube star, who had an incredible year in 2019, starred in the official video this year but people still weren’t happy.

However, with PewDiePie’s own version of Rewind 2018 receiving more likes than the actual video, it seems he’s done it again with his video ‘YouTube Rewind 2019, but it’s actually good.’

The Derry Girls are set to bring a splash of Irish luck to the Great Festive Bake Off in a trailer released ahead of the show’s debut tonight.

A Great British Bake Off spin-off for the festive season, the programme will see the stars of the hit Channel 4 comedy all compete to win the prize of Star Baker from judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.

The comedy’s most recognisable faces will be battling it out; Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Erin), Nicola Coughlan (Clare), Jamie-Lee O’Donnell (Michelle), Dylan Llewellyn (James) and Siobhan McSweeney (Sister Michael) are all taking part.

And there’s real fighting talk from everyone’s favourite on-screen nun, as Sister Michael actress Siobhan McSweeney boasts: ‘I’m in it to win it.’

An official synopsis by Channel 4 says: ‘Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig host a special celebrity edition featuring the cast of Derry Girls for the second of this year’s Christmas specials.

‘[The cast]  will be cooking up some New Year-inspired bakes to impress judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood and be crowned Star Baker. With music from the London Gospel Community Choir.’

And if seeing all your favourite Irish legends in one place leaves you hungry for the much-touted third series of Lisa McGee’s hit comedy, don’t worry as Channel 4 has officially announced the next run of episodes is a go.

Derry Girls has become a big hit, with the first episode of series two achieving a consolidated viewership of 3.2million, the biggest UK comedy launch on the network for 15 years.

Creator Lisa said: ‘I love writing this show and I’m so thrilled to be able to continue the Derry Girls story, thank you Channel 4, Erin and the eejits live to fight another day!’

Arlo Parks

Arlo Parks might only be 19-years-old, but her hit Cola, has already caught the eye of Lily Allen, who made sure it featured in her top five songs on Apple Music.

‘She’s from Hammersmith – same as me… Honestly, this song just knocked me off my feet,’ the Smile hitmaker said at the time.

The singer grew up in London and broke onto the scene after turning her poems into tunes.

And it seems they’re a hit with fans already, as she managed to land herself a slot at this year’s Glastonbury following her first-ever gig at Brighton’s The Great Escape, in May.

Arlo recently dropped her new EP Sophie, which you’ll be able to get to listen to on her Super Sad Generation Tour in the New Year.

Our hearts have been won by Bea Kristi, who has already started to make waves over in the US.

The Philippines-born, west London-raised star has had a whirlwind year, after being kicked out of school at just 17.

Out of boredom, she picked up the guitar and started to teach herself how to play, resulting in her four-track debut EP Lice, which she followed with Loveworm.

The 19-year-old then dropped Space Cadet, with the standout track, I Wish I Was Stephen Malkmus, securing her a place in the industry.

And the Pavement frontman even showed up to one of her gigs.

Sasha Sloan

Sasha Sloan had us with her track Dancing With Your Ghost – a lullaby about loss, that we can all relate to.

The 24-year-old grew up with her Russian-Irish parents in Boston, before finding her way to Los Angeles.

But the singer’s old house helped her become a viral sensation after parents painted the outside with an arrow pointing to her bedroom next to the word ‘dork’.

Finding the whole thing hilarious, Sasha posted a picture of it onto Reddit where it became number one on the ­homepage.

She recently dropped the new EP, Self Portrait, that has gone down a treat with her fans.

Celeste

Celeste fancied her chances with the world of YouTube, and uploaded one of her songs to the streaming platform when she was just 16.

Luckily it took off, and she found herself recording at the Notting Hill’s Sarm West Studios, where Led Zeppelin, The Clash and Rihanna have performed.

She’s inspired by the greats, including Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald, which her grandparents would play to her at an early age.

The star recently dropped a compilation of her tracks and will be heading off out on tour in the New Year.

She is also collecting this year’s BRIT Awards rising star, and we can’t wait to see what 2020 brings for Celeste.

The Pale White

If you like the Arctic Monkeys then you’ll sure like The Pale White, as their hits would fit perfectly on the iconic band’s classic AM album.

The four-piece recently dropped their new single Swim For Your Life which has got fans all excited for a potential new album.

But until then, the boys will be heading out on tour in the New Year, seeing them go up and down the country before calling off at a number of festivals, including 110 Above Festival next August.

They wrapped up their year by celebrating their whopping 9.9million streams on Spotify with a sold out gig alongside Sam Fender.

So we’re only expecting good things for the group in 2020.

Jekyll

Compared to Muse in their early days, the Blackpool based band are getting known up and down the UK and even found themselves performing at Y Not? in 2019.

Before the year was out, the boys were named BBC Radio 1’s artist of the year, while Indie Rocks UK went whole step further by crowning them the band of the decade.

So in our humble opinion, it’s only a matter of time until they break onto the charts.

Jekyll recently dropped their single Marionette and have promised to kick off 2020 with even more material.

Catch them live on 16 January as they head to London for the Pandamonium 20.

Easy Life

They’re the kind of stuff you’d hear in a TopShop changing room and then Google immediately after your phone signal returns.

Don’t say you’ve never done it.

The alternative rock band from Leicester formed in 2017 before signing to Island Records a year later.

And they’re entering the New Year with a bang, as they’re about to drop the seven-track mixtape called Junk Food on 10 January, featuring both old and new songs.

And if you can’t get enough of that, the boys will be off on tour straight through until April.

Jay1

Jay1 has had a breakthrough year and has kept fans hooked with his countless releases including Your Mrs, Mocking It and 4AM in Coventry.

Wrapping up the decade, the 18-year-old from Coventry dropped his latest hit Million Bucks with a video in tow.

He’s already earned two top 20 singles in the UK, with the number expected to grow in the next 12 months.

And after completing a round of live dates in 2019, he’s heading into the New Year with another tour planned.

Fans went wild for his latest release so we’re hoping the next 12 months bring nothing but success for Jay1.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were all smiles as they put rumours of a ‘feud’ on This Morning behind them to promote ITV’s new daytime schedule.

As part of a huge new makeover for ITV’s morning slot, both Good Morning Britain and This Morning will be extended by 30 minutes.

To announce the new changes, a teaser clip shows Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid quite literally passing the baton to Lorraine Kelly, who in turn passes it to Holly and Phil.

The pair are all giggles and smiles, then mount the scooters so the Loose Women – although Ruth Langsford is nowhere in sight.

The world of breakfast television was rocked earlier in the year when it was reported that several people had lodged complaints against presenting stalwart Phillip.

Holly and Phil duo shook off any hints of a feud between them, however, as they continued to present the programme as normal following the rumours, with the 57-year-old even going so far as to call his co-host ‘the sister I never had.’ 

After a turbulent past few months, it’s understandable why Holly and Phil are putting their best foot forward into the New Year and showing a united front. With her New Years Eve celebrations, Holly even said she would be focusing on ‘kindness and love’ in 2020.

In a post shared with her followers, the star stood with her husband Dan Baldwin and their three kids Harry, 10, Belle, eight, and Chester, five, and welcomed 2020 with a bang.

She captioned her picture: ‘To kindness and love … the things we need most… #ifyouknowyouknow #happy2020 xxx’.

Of course, all this drama started after accusations that Phillip banned one-time co-host Amanda Holden from presenting This Morning again.

Amanda seemed to have referenced the so-called feud in her own  New Year’s post where she shared her ‘top nine’ photos from the year.

‘I started 2019 with great determination and a new headspace which was to suffer no fools,’ she wrote. ‘To put my energy into good people and honestly not give a damn about the rest!’

This Morning will air weekdays from 10am from 6 January on ITV.

Sophie Turner ended up on stage during a Jonas Brothers performance to give her hubby Joe Jonas a kiss when the clock struck 12 on New Year’s Eve.

The Game of Thrones star came prepared with a little black dress, a ‘pop fizz clink’ headband, and a glass of bubbly.

The Jonas Brothers were performing on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Miami before their talented other halves joined them on stage.

And yes, they definitely performed Sucker.

Sophie leaned in for a cheeky kiss while the others – including Nick Jonas, his wife Priyanka Chopra, Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle – chatted away on stage.

The entire group clinked their glasses before hugging and celebrating the new decade.

The brothers wore different variations of sparkly suits while Priyanka opted for a classy floor-length pink dress and Danielle wore the glitteriest New Year’s blue dress she could find.

Other performers during the lively night included the one and only Dua Lipa (who performed in Hollywood), alongside the likes of Alanis Morissette and Post Malone, who were performing all the way in Times Square, New York.

The world’s biggest boy band, BTS, got to perform for the world and Green Day, Megan Thee Stallion, and Usher later joined.

However, the others didn’t bring their booze-ready other halves.

Everyone raised a glass to the crowd of Rockin’ Eve as they partied away an end of an era.

Before performing for Rockin’ Eve, the group went for dinner at Fontainebleau in Miami, Florida, wearing the same outfits they went on stage with.

Except for Priyanka and Nick, who are always ready at all times for an outfit change

Priyanka’s dinner ensemble was a silky cream dress and silky blazer while Nick opted for a casual white T-shirt and a dyed denim jacket.

They arrived via private jet before going to the restaurant in a minibus as you gotta eat before you celebrate with thousands of people while singing the songs that brought the band back together.

We’d celebrate too if we had the biggest decade to date.

Sophie and Joe married in May this year, while Nick and Priyanka married in December 2018.

Kevin, the oldest of the three, was the first to tie the knot back in 2009 and has two children.

Kevin Spacey’s sexual assault lawsuit has been dismissed after his accuser died.

The House Of Cards actor was accused of forcing a massage therapist to touch his genitals and trying to kiss him, during a session back in 2016, something the 70-year-old has denied.

But, after the alleged victim died in September, thought to be following a battle with cancer, his estate filed a notice to dismiss the lawsuit.

According to Variety, each side has agreed to pay their own costs, with no other terms disclosed.

The publication previously reported Christina Buckley, the head deputy in the DA’s sex crimes unit stated: ‘During the course of the investigation, the victim passed away.

‘The sexual assault allegations cannot be proved without the participation of the victim. Thus, the case was declined.’

Spacey has been accused of misconduct by several men, and was fired from Netflix series House Of Cards following the allegations.

He also faces six accusations of sexual assault in the UK between 1996 and 2013, in which inquiries are ongoing.

The actor recently made headlines after sharing a bizarre new video as Frank Underwood, wishing followers a merry Christmas.

Getting into character as he sat beside a fire, he said: ‘You didn’t really think I was going to miss the opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas, did you?

‘It’s been a pretty good year, and I’m grateful to have my health back, and in light of that I’ve made some changes in my life, and I invite you to join me.’

‘As we walk into 2020 I want to cast my vote for… more good in this world,’ he declared. ‘Ah Yes, I know what you’re thinking, “Can he be serious?”’ ‘I’m dead serious. And it’s not that hard, trust me.

In just a few short hours, the first episode of Dracula – the new three-part series from Stephen Moffat and Mark Gatiss – will be airing on BBC One.

The series will star Danish actor Claes Bang at the titular bloodsucker, and after the Moffat promised that the show is out to give you ‘nightmares’, the hype has been very real indeed.

Before we sink our teeth into this new incarnation of Dracula, here’s what you need to know about when the first instalment will air and who’s joining Bang in the cast.

What time is Dracula on BBC One tonight?

The first episode in the series will begin tonight, New Year’s Day, at 9pm on BBC One.

It will be approximately one hour and 30 minutes long, and will see Jonathan Harker tell a terrifying tale of his time spent in a castle with a mysterious count.

Director Kevin Smith has claimed he knows the ‘alternate ending’ to Joker, having heard word from someone ‘in the know’ the final scene of the Joaquin Phoenix-led film wasn’t meant to end the way we saw it.

Say what?

Even more distressing, the reported ending killed off Batman. BATMAN! Our Bruce Wayne! The Caped Crusader himself!

According to Kevin, who was speaking during his show Fatman Beyond, he was given the intel by someone he dubbed ‘a reliable source’ who caught wind of what the other plan was to close out the flick.

As you know if you’ve seen the film, Joker ends in a hospital ward where Arthur Fleck has ended up after causing mayhem in Gotham City.

‘Somebody, I can’t say who told me, somebody told me…did you hear what the ending is supposed to be?’ Kevin asked on the weekend as he detailed the gossip.

‘I hope this is true, man, because I was like, “what the f*ck?!” This is what I’m told by someone who works in the business and they’re in the know…I don’t know where he got it but it’s reliable information.’

Wondering whether he should keep it to himself but eventually deciding it was ‘too good to not share’ he did add the caveat: ‘Maybe this is completely wrong.’

Maybe.

Kevin then described the final scene: ‘He’s in the hospital and he laughs, chuckles, and he says, “I was just thinking of something funny.” What was supposed to happen was you flashed back to the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne and it was him killing Thomas and Martha Wayne and the boy was screaming and crying and he turned to walk away and he turned back, shrugged, and shot the kid. Credits.’

Yes, correct, Joker was apparently meant to kill little Bruce Wayne before he turned into Batman and saved the city.

‘What the f*ck, nan? Would you imagine, that’s literally the biggest f*ck you to the audience,’ Kevin continued. ‘This world has no Batman, it’s all jokers.

‘That’s network deep. That’s so intense, I would have been outraged as a batman fan and elated as a fan of film. “You ballsy mother*cker, you did it.” But they didn’t do it.’

No they did not.

While it’s not at all clear if this was meant to be an alternate ending or just a piece of well-constructed hearsay, we have to admit it would have been a rather polarising ending which would have truly created an alternate universe in the DC world.

Don’t worry though, Batman is alive and kicking with Robert Pattinson due to don the wings any moment now.

In mere hours, and after a full year of waiting, Doctor Who fans are finally getting a new episode of the hit sci-fi series.

The new episode, called Spyfall Part 1, is the first in a two-part storyline which showrunner Chris Chibnall has promised will be the ‘biggest episode the show has ever done’.

As we wait with bated breath for the new season to kick-off, here’s what you need to know about when and how you’ll be able to tune in to the action.

Doctor Who is returning to our screens tonight at 6:55pm on BBC One.

The following episode, Spyfall Part 2, will air Sunday 5 January at 7pm.

After that, each new episode will drop on subsequent Sunday nights.

On the subject of the new series, Chibnall told Metro.co.uk: ‘We are on a journey with this Doctor and these characters so we want to do big, emotional, action-packed, scary, funny stories and we want to go up a level from last year,’

‘Last year was a recruitment year for the show, for the Doctor, getting everybody in. It’s always a stepping on point with a new Doctor, and also bringing that existing audience as well. This year, we’re saying to those people – “OK, here is the amazing world of Doctor Who, here’s lots of treats, here’s lots of new stuff, some old stuff, let’s see what you make of this”. But also for ourselves, the ambition is go up a level. And I think we’ve done that.’

While we spent New Year’s Eve eating our feelings and downing budget prosecco, Bella Hadid was off sunning herself in a Dior bikini in St Barts.

Ed Sheeran decided to swap out lavish parties for a quiet night at the pub as he had a low-key New Year’s Eve in Scotland.

The Shape of You singer recently decided to distance himself from music and has even taken a break from the public by having a pint in a local pub with friends.

The 28-year-old was spotted in Aberfeldy’s Black Watch bar where he took selfies with fans and enjoyed a few pints before cheering on his mate Foy Vance at the town’s annual Hogmanay festival.

A source told The Sun: ‘It was really low key. He blended in really well for someone so recognisable and famous.

‘He was happy to have his picture taken and just sat down and had a few beers.’

His appearance comes after the I Don’t Care singer announced he was taking another break from music on Christmas Eve.

The star took to his Instagram to post his reasoning and wrote: ‘Hello all. Gonna go on another break again.

‘The Divide era and tour changed my life in so many ways, but now it’s all over it’s time to go out and see some more of the world.

‘I’ve been a bit non stop since 2017 so I’m just gonna take a breather to travel, write and read. Il be off social media until it’s time to come back.’

Ed then continued: ‘To my family and friends, see ya when I see ya – and to my fans, thank you for always being amazing, I promise to be back with some new music when the time is right and I’ve lived a little more to actually have something to write about. Lots of love x’

After announcing his well-deserved hiatus, Ed and his wife Cherry Seaborn were seen at the airport on 27 December to start off his to-do list of ‘seeing the world’.

He was dressed down for the plane ride, but wasn’t exactly incognito in his travel outfit of a luminous orange hoody paired with a bright blue puffer jacket, while Cherry went for red trousers with thick grey socks pulled over the bottoms of them.

Now that we know he has been in a small town in Scotland, we’re wondering if the gigantic Waitrose bag of snacks was necessary for a small flight.

Katie Price has holed herself up in the sunshine in Thailand, as she holidayed with her eldest Harvey – apparently barred from taking her four other children by their dads, according to reports.

The 41-year-old former glamour model took off to the tourist spot this week, sharing a snapshot of her luxe villa on Tuesday.

With her 17-year-old son Harvey with her for company, it seemed the pair were indulging in a mother-son holiday which is well deserved for both of them to shake off 2019 and start afresh.

In what looked like actual paradise, Katie uploaded a video that spanned her hotel’s pool which was set among a backdrop of lush trees.

‘New day, new start, new year, wait and see my comeback independent women side [sic],’ she wrote on Instagram.

‘Before it all begins I’ve come away with just me and my Harvey bear!’

It comes amid rumours Katie wasn’t allowed to take her other children on the international trip so close to the new school year.

Katie shares Bunny, five, and Jett, six, with Kieran Hayler, and Princess, 12, and Junior, 14, with Peter Andre – but they’ve got to get ready to head back to class.

A source recently told The Sun: ‘Katie is desperate for a holiday and has given herself the first two weeks off work to go away and get a tan.

‘But Kieran and Pete weren’t keen on her taking the kids away on a long haul holiday. Katie is always a bit disorganised when it comes to booking return flights, especially if she’s talked a friend into paying for them.

‘I think the kids’ dads were worried they’d miss the first few days of term in January, which isn’t fair on them.

‘It’s not like they’ve had a huge row, they’ve just asked Katie to consider going on holiday alone and leaving the children to prepare for their first day back.’

While Kieran had a low key NYE with Bunny and Jett, Peter had taken Princess and Junior on a break to the French Alps instead.

The kids still got to get out of the country and looked to be having a ball on the slopes, however the flight back from France is a touch closer than Thailand, we suppose…

The Chase is finally back on screens today with Bradley Walsh and co. returning for more challenging questions and showdowns with the quiz experts.

Since the show’s short hiatus, Chaser Jenny Ryan has won over hordes of new fans thanks to her stint on The X Factor: Celebrity, Bradley has filmed Doctor Who’s season 12 – which is returning to screens tonight – and a new Chaser is set to join the show.

Talk about a chase, it’s hard to keep up with all the change!

The Chase returns today on ITV from 5pm.

The episode’s synopsis reads: ‘Bradley Walsh presents as contestants Paul, Josie, OJ and Barry pit their wits against ruthless quiz genius the Chaser in the hope of winning a potential prize pot worth thousands of pounds.’

Addressing the ITV programme’s success recently on Good Morning Britain, Bradley commented: ‘It’s a great format, we have great fun. You know we don’t really use autocue, so we fly with it.

‘We play the game, that’s what’s brilliant about the show, it’s accessible and people love it.’

But viewers can expect a bit of a shake-up to the format this year.

It’s been previously reported that there will be a trial run of a Beat the Chasers spin-off one week this year.

This update to the format will see the five quiz-masters joining forces to make one super team.

Avengers, eat your heart out.

The first trailer for A Quiet Place Part 2 has dropped, and we are absolutely not ready.

John Krasinski has decided that what New Year’s Day really needs is a massive dose of horror, and so he’s blessed us all with the first look at the sequel.

And it looks even more intense than the first offering.

It all kicks off with Evelyn (Emily Blunt) rapidly driving through the streets, attempting to escape the horror that awaits them.

But it’s not that easy, with the monsters lurking at every single turn.

She eventually finds ‘saviour’ with Cillian Murphy, who promptly tells her ‘there’s nothing left’.

When Evelyn suggests there are people they should be helping, he creepily informs her that they are absolutely ‘not the kind of people worth saving’.

It’s seriously ominous, and we’ll all be waiting until March to get any kind of answers.

However, it doesn’t look like fans can wait that long, quickly flooding John’s Twitter post with praise.

‘Holy s**t can’t wait to see Cillian’s performance, I love it already,’ one replied.

While another asked: ‘Cillian Murphy and Djomon Honsou are awesome additions. And flashbacks so we get to still see @johnkrasinski? Can’t beat that.’

‘Looks just as fantastic as the first. Can’t wait,’ an impressed fan posted, as a Twitter user added: ‘Holy smokes that got intense quick.’

The official synopsis reads: ‘Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence.

‘Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.’

John sent fans into a total spin in September, sharing a first look at the sequel.

But the Office favourite left us with way more questions than answers as the snap showed his character walking hand-in-hand with Evelyn, with many questioning whether this meant his character would be returning.

Bring. It. On.

A Quiet Place Part 2 is released in cinemas in March.

Courteney – who spent Christmas Eve with Laura Dern – and Johnny seemed to be loving life as they rang in 2020 together.

The couple first started dating in 2013 before getting engaged and calling things off in 2015.

Johnny moved back to England and apparently, the distance did them wonders because they reconciled in March 2016 and things have been better than ever.

The Scream star admitted in January that their relationship was ‘better’ once they took the pressure off.

She told Ellen DeGeneres: ‘He’s not my fiance. We broke off our engagement, and he moved to England, then we got back together, and it’s actually better than it was before.’

Elizabeth Hurley has brought in the new decade in style, seemingly proving that blondes do in fact have more fun.

The actress brought out a bright purple dress for the occasion, also donning a platinum blonde wig to see in 2020.

Because why not ring in the new decade channeling your favourite Quality Street, right? It’s a bold choice, but she definitely pulls it off.

While the theme of the party isn’t quite clear, there were definitely some 70s flower power vibes going on and Liz looked to be having a ball.

Fans were blessed with You season 2 on Boxing Day, with 10 episodes chocked full of Joe Goldberg (aka Will Bettelheim) getting himself into all sorts of murderous scrapes.

Viewers watched on in shock, awe and pure terror as Penn Badgley’s character relocated to LA after killing girlfriend Guinevere Beck, before stealing someone’s identity and falling in love once more, with someone called Love (Victoria Pedretti).

So. Much. Love.

However, while we’ve all binged through the second Netflix series, there are a few major differences to Caroline Kepnes’ original book, Hidden Bodies – which it is based on – that could have seen a more savage ending to everyone’s favourite psychopath.

But what are the biggest changes from the pages to the screen?

Candace doesn’t exist

Candace is a pretty huge character in series two, attempting to infiltrate Joe’s new friendships by hooking up with Forty Quinn in a bid to take him down. But she doesn’t actually exist in the book.

However, Amy Adam (the person Candace was pretending to be) is real, and is the reason Joe fled to LA in the first place.

Amy waltzed into his New York shop at the end of the first book (You) and Joe reacted how Joe normally reacts – by instantly falling in love with her.

But it wasn’t to be and she ended up stealing a bunch of his rare books and flocking to LA, so he followed her down there in a bid to exact revenge. And manages to bump into Love.

(Yes, her name really is Love.)

Love

And, speaking of Love, she truly is Love in the book, but not as we know her. Gone are the foodie treats, as she’s actually an actress who bumps into Joe at Soho House, which is so LA it’s painful.

Delilah’s death

While Love does exist, she isn’t the one who killed Delilah – or anyone, really. In fact, she left all the killing over to Joe and was completely fine with his ‘hobby’.

However, to prove just how much she loved him, she went back to Peach Salinger’s house to pick up the mug of urine he carelessly left lying around in the first book. Which is all kinds of true relationship goals, sort of.

Ellie isn’t real

Delilah’s sister Ellie (Jenna Ortega) is hands down one of the coolest 15-year-olds we’ve ever seen on our screens. She’s funny, cool, smart and only a little bit naïve. Basically (nearly) everything we wish we were at that age.

Unfortunately for us all, she isn’t actually a character in the book. Which is sad.

Will Bettelheim doesn’t feature in Hidden Bodies either. As Joe isn’t on the run, he doesn’t need to trap anyone in yet another glass cage and ruin their lives.

Officer Fincher’s heroics

We also know Fincher as Delilah’s friend with benefits who also happens to be a police officer. He has a few run-ins with Joe (who doesn’t?) but ultimately ends up saving his life in a shoot-out with Forty.

So all’s well that ends well, right?

Wrong. In Hidden Bodies, Fincher is painfully close to uncovering the truth about the book shop worker turned serial killer, so Joe took him on a wild goose chase out to Mexico and killed him.

A little more brutal than a shoot-out.

The ending

While the final few seconds of the TV show left things open for a third series – with Joe living with a heavily pregnant Love and already obsessing over his neighbour through a crack in the fence – the book saw him get arrested as his crimes started stacking up.

Well, that will happen when you go on a killing spree and murder eight people.

Also, while it’s not a major difference, the Forty on our screens (played incredibly by James Scully) is much more fleshed out than the one in Hidden Bodies, and deserved so much better.

Author Caroline Kepnes is putting the finishing touches to her third book, and gave a glimpse into what we can expect from Joe’s relationship with Love, and whether he’s ready to put an end to all the murdering.

‘Joe is really proud of himself because a lot of people in his position descend into darkness after having been through what he’s gone through in book two and then in the beginning of book three,’ she told Entertainment Weekly.

‘And he decides that he’s going to be a better person and he’s very proud of himself for that.

‘Having dealt with Love’s family and dating someone with this close relationship with their twin brother, he’s very focused on the idea that he should be the one with the family.

‘But yeah, the main thrust of it is that he’s very proud of his strength.’

We’re guessing that won’t be lasting long…

Georgia Toffolo’s car was smashed up with bricks and her bag was stolen from inside on New Year’s Eve.

The Made In Chelsea star shared clips of her 4X4’s shattered windscreen and windows, as well as two bricks in the car itself.

The 25-year-old – who was detained by immigration last week – just could not catch a break over the festive period.

She told fans on her Instagram Stories: ‘Happy New Year everyone. Someone just threw a brick through my car window and stole my handbag.’

Ever the optimist, Georgia joked that at least the thieves had managed to leave behind her favourite blusher.

‘But on the bright side he left a tampon and my favourite blusher. So trying to look on the bright side of things,’ she said.

‘Not great.’

Determined not to let the break-in ruin her celebrations, the TV personality still drove the car to meet her family for their New Year’s Eve meal and posted clips of the Toffolos having a festive time singing and dancing.

The next morning, she was feeling less festive.

Not only had the hangover kicked in, but the I’m A Celebrity! star had completely forgotten about her smashed up car and had to live the ordeal all over again.

Panning over her destroyed car in the cold sober light of day, she groaned: ‘I completely forgot that this happened yesterday and now the hangover’s like 20 times worse.’

The ITV star added, laughing: ‘Why have I still got the bricks in there?

‘I’m so depressed. This is so upsetting.’

Georgia’s had a rough time of it lately, having been detained in the Maldives because of her ‘damaged passport’.

She was refused entry into the Maldives but also wasn’t allowed back to the UK and was facing a four-day wait for a plane to take her home.

The presenter shared a tearful video begging for help while holed up in a detention centre.

After her pleas attracted major publicity, she was able to get in touch with officials and was freed after nine hours so she could enjoy Christmas on the island.

According to the star, the ‘British government worked with Maldivian representatives, pushed by the UK press too’.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirmed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting their first transgender character.

After pleas for Marvel to include more LGBTQ+ characters in their franchise, Kevin appears to have delivered in The Eternals.

When asked at the New York Film Academy whether there were any plans to introduce more diverse characters, specifically transgender characters, the 46-year-old producer said: ‘Yes, absolutely yes.

‘Very soon, in a movie, we’re shooting right now, yes.’

Kevin never specified which movie the character will appear in, but The Eternals is currently the only project in the middle of filming.

The Eternals stars Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, and Salma Hayek.

According to Kevin, The Eternals will also be getting a gay character, who is ‘married, he’s got a family, and that is just part of who he is.’

On 7 December, a few lucky fans were treated to a first look at The Eternals, giving a glimpse at Angelina and Salma’s characters.

Kevin hosted a panel at Comic-con in Sao Paolo where he unveiled a fresh look at Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow after the official trailer dropped last week.

But it was The Eternals preview which had everyone talking as it’s been kept tightly under wraps since news of the movie broke earlier this year.

And while the first look footage still isn’t available for the wider public, a group of lucky Comic-Con attendees were able to watch a short clip.

According to Deadline, the video showed a blonde Angelina ‘kicking some major a*s’ during a huge fight scene and, frankly, we wouldn’t expect anything less.

The rest of the heroes are then shown in different parts of the world before the footage closes with Salma’s character Ajak stating: ‘This world has changed us. We must protect it.’
