Where is ITV’s Flesh and Blood filmed and how many episodes are left?

ITV’s new darkly comic drama Flesh and Blood kicked off on Monday evening and has been likened to the popular hit drama Broadchurch.

It all starts with a body on a beach – but the identity of the victim and the culprit is unclear.

The four-part drama follows three adult siblings Helen, Jake and Natalie – whose lives are thrown into disarray when their recently widowed mother Vivien declares she’s fallen for a new man, retired GP Mark.

Where is Flesh and Blood filmed?

It’s not so nice to be beside the seaside with ITV, as most of the mystery series was filmed in Normans Bay and Eastbourne, with the West Sussex coast offering a stunning backdrop.

Actor Stephen Rea, who plays Mark, told the Eastbourne Herald what it was like filming in the area.

He said: ‘We filmed in Eastbourne. The two houses that feature in the story front on to the beach.

‘You can walk straight out of the sea to the front door. Absolutely unbelievable. A tremendous location. A lovely place to live.’

It’s expected the ITV drama will boost tourism in the area, and nearby Pevensey Bay – an idyllic old fishing village, dating back to the 1600s – was also used for certain scenes.

Director Louise Hooper told Good Housekeeping: ‘There are lots of crime dramas really anchored in location and clues but this is something that could be a bit more heightened so that’s what I jumped off in terms of tone.

‘There’s no town or city, we’re not anchored to anything so it floats in its own little heightened story.

‘We’re trying to do something different from the gritty, monochromatic noir which is very plot and detail-driven.’

The coastal hamlet of Normans Bay was also chosen for its bold, dramatic landscape, and is a popular spot for tourists wanting a caravan holiday, as well as being handily located close to Eastbourne and Brighton.

Several scenes are also filmed away from the seaside in a London office, with a few interior scenes also taking place at a studio in the capital.

How many episodes are left?

Flesh and Blood episodes are 60 minutes long, and the series premiered on ITV on Monday 24th February at 9pm.

There are four episodes in total.

It aired on Tuesday 25th February and Wednesday 26th February 26th.

The final episode airs tonight, Thursday 27th February 27th, at 9pm.

Flesh And Blood continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.

Game Of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie rocks curious padded coat to Paris Fashion Week

This coat will be all over the high street next month, admit it (Picture: Backgrid)

While it wouldn’t be our first choice to shield us from the chilly mistress of winter, Game Of ThronesGwendoline Christie has upped her coat game as she wore a rather curious padded jacket to Paris Fashion Week.

Look, if anyone can pull off the bizarre number it’s the mighty Brienne Of Tarth.

Heading to the Rick Owens show in the French capital on Thursday, Gwendoline put on a powerful show as she rocked the shoulder pads and a pair of towering black boots with funky Perspex heels.

Can we take a moment to drink this look in, please?

The 41-year-old flashed a smirk to the cameras, knowing those bat-like wing sleeves would be all over the high street in a few months.

She kept things simple under the coat, wearing a black top and trousers as she took her prime seat on the front row.

And can we talk about the boots? (Picture: BACKGRID)

It seemed lucky Gwendoline scored the coat fresh from the production room, with models sporting similar padded coats on the runway.

Oh to have friends in fashionable places.

Even though Game Of Thrones ended last year – as much as we’d like to remain blissfully ignorant to this fact – Gwendoline has gone from strength to strength.

Starring as Jane Murdstone in The Personal History Of David Copperfield and with 2020 surely looking bright following awards show nominations, Gwendoline previously opened up about the role that catapulted her into the limelight.

Brienne of Tarth Game Of Thrones in armour
Brienne – still our queen (Picture: HBO)

Brienne, of House Tarth, arrived on Game Of Thrones in season two and went on to become a pivotal character across the remaining series, but last year Gwendoline spoke of her fear that another role like Brienne ‘might never happen’ but that she has come to terms with what that means.

‘What occurred was a shift; something spoke to me and allowed me an insight into humanity. Thrones, and Brienne, together they gave me a lot of hope, and a lot of experience,’ she said. ‘I’ve been dealing with this idea of loss since I first got the character. Now, it’s about stepping into other worlds and other humans and allowing that to happen.

‘It was so hard for so long. But a little bit of acceptance means a huge amount.’

Speaking to GQ Magazine, she also revealed how emotional she gets over the existence of Brienne, and how her existence on TV screens has been a step forward for many women seeing as Gwendoline is over 6 feet tall.

‘So many women come up to me and talk about what it means to feel represented outside of the constraints of conventional society,’ she added.

‘In 2011, I didn’t think I would ever see women that looked like me in mainstream entertainment,’ she continued. ‘It felt like there was one mould that wouldn’t be broken and diversity was not a part of the conversation. So the fact that Brienne existed? Wow.’

But just when you thought Gwendoline couldn’t be more boss, she goes and adds shoulder pads.

Jacqueline Jossa is definitely not in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle any more, as she launched her first In The Style collection.

And the 27-year-old looked all kinds of glamorous while modelling her new range at the swanky Elan Cafe, in Kensington, before the star-studded launch party.

The EastEnders favourite rocked a black, floaty mini-dress for the day, making sure we all got a glimpse of her Spanish sun tan.

Which went right on top of the glow she still has from Australia.

She finished the look off with a pair of strappy sandals, and no other accessories, making sure her outfit said it all.

And we are absolutely desperate for every single piece.

Jacqueline’s In The Style launch comes hot off the back of her I’m A Celebrity win at the end of 2019.

The mum-of-two became the reigning jungle queen when she beat Andy Whyment to the ITV crown.

But she isn’t about to rest on her laurels, and has been linked to a role in Our Girl.

‘Jacqueline is keen to replace Michelle on Our Girl and has been encouraged to go for it by her former colleague and pal Lacey,’ a source told The Sun.

‘And bosses at the Beeb want a mainstream signing and feel the Queen Of The Jungle fits the bill perfectly.’

We definitely wouldn’t be mad about this.

Flesh And Blood ended on ITV tonight after four series (Picture: ITV)

Flesh And Blood came to an end tonight after having us gripped for the past four days.

The four-part ITV thriller followed three adult siblings – Helen, Jake and Natalie – whose lives are thrown into disarray when their recently widowed mother Vivien declares she’s fallen for a new man, retired GP Mark.

While the final episode tied up a number of loose ends, it also ended on a cliffhanger and we’re desperate to find out what happens next. But will there be a second series?

Will there be a second series of Flesh And Blood?

ITV has yet to officially confirm whether or not there will be a second series of Flesh And Blood.

That being said, producer Sarah Williams teased that there’s a lot more to explore when it comes to the characters.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk and other publications at the press screening, she said: ‘There is further meat on the bone.

‘I love these characters, I did get very attached to all of them and I would love to follow all of their stories. But I think we’re getting ahead of ourselves. We have to see if anyone watches this first.’

Where is Flesh And Blood filmed?

‘We filmed down there because as I was saying before, we didn’t want to put it into a town and we wanted to keep it quite wild,’ director Louise Hooper said.

‘And Pevensey Bay is an amazing stretch which is really unspoilt. We loved the idea of the houses being right on the shingle and the coast so it feels wild and it feels secluded.’

Sarah added: ‘We were blessed with this glorious sunshine, so it all feels bright and light.’

Flesh And Blood is available to stream on the ITVHub.

Death in Paradise season nine is nearing an end, with bosses already teasing fans about Ralf Little’s exit.

The show is filmed in the French island of Guadeloupe in the Lesser Antilles, and has been aired on BBC One since 2011, with four actors taking on the leading role of detective Neville Parker.

The Royal Family actor and newcomer Ralf Little is supposedly already making plans for season ten of the popular BBC drama before the current series has even wrapped.

He made his debut on the BBC show halfway through series nine, replacing Ardal O’Hanlon.

The Two Pints actor has clearly been a hit with viewers, with many taking to social media to praise his fantastic detective skills.

One tweeted: ‘Ralf Little makes such a good detective.’

Another commented: ‘Couldn’t have chosen better than Ralf Little to take the lead.’

How many episodes are left of Death in Paradise?

Tonight, the final episode of Death in Paradise season nine will air on BBC One at 9pm.

However, fans needn’t be too distraught, as season 10 begins production towards the latter half of the year.

Speaking of his decision to take on the role, Ralf Little said: ‘It took less than 0.005 seconds to say yes to playing the new DI!

‘Ardal has been wonderful in the last few series and to follow in his footsteps in a place as idyllic as Guadeloupe was a great honour and a dream come true.’

Andi Osho will make her debut in series nine of Death in Paradise tonight – but who is she and what has she starred in before?

Andi, who used to play Dr Rogers in Footballers’ Wives: Extra Time will make a guest appearance on Thursday night’s episode where she will play cab driver Precious Abellard.

The stand-up comedian stars alongside new detective Neville Parker (Ralf Little) in the last episode of series nine which surrounds the murder of a blind actress’ husband.

The blind actress, who is played by Frances Tomelty, is the only witness to her husband’s murder.

But with no evidence that there was anyone else there at the time, can her version of events be trusted? And has Precious got anything to do with it?

Who is Precious in Death in Paradise?

Precious is a local cab driver and viewers first meet her when she is helping the soon-to-be murder victim’s son, Archie.

They’ve come back from going shopping and Archie is going to make a meal so Precious is yabbering away in his ear giving him the recipe that he needs to cook.

But she thinks he doesn’t really know what he’s doing.

Precious and Archie hear a gunshot that obviously gets her attention immediately.

They run down to the beach which is just off from the house that they are in and they encounter Olivia (Frances) and she tells them that Robert has been shot.

Who plays Precious in Death in Paradise?

Precious is played by stand-up comedian and actress Andi Osho.

Her 15-year career also spans film, TV and theatre. She has starred in the likes of Holby City, EastEnders and Footballers’ Wives: Extra Time.

Andi also plays Jenny Donohue in Sky Atlantic’s street-race drama Curfew, and she made her US TV debut in Finding Carte. Her film projects include Lights Out, Swinging With The Finkels and Shazam.

Other recent projects include Channel 4/Hulu co-production, National Treasure: Kiri, which became Channel 4’s highest-rated drama, and Olivier-nominated The Miser – Andi’s West End debut.

In the UK she starred in two episodes of BBC1’s prime-time stand-up show, Live at the Apollo. In the US, TV appearances include The Late, Late Show, @Midnight and The Last Call with Carson Daly.

Speaking about what Ralf Little was like to work with during Death in Paradise she said: ‘He’s a nightmare’.

Luckily for Ralf she was only kidding as she continued: ‘Ralf was great. I think what people will really enjoy is seeing him in a different type of role because we have seen him grow up on TV with roles in Two Pints of Lager and The Royle Family.

‘I think people will really enjoy seeing Ralf in something different and I think he’s great, I really enjoyed the scenes we had together, just from a working point of view.

‘Ralf was really welcoming when we got there and it was lovely to just hang out with him. The audience are really going to enjoy him.’

Speaking about her role in the last episode of series nine, Andi added: ‘Precious is a local cab driver and we meet her when she is helping the soon-to-be murder victim’s son, Archie.

‘They’ve come back from going shopping and Archie is going to make a meal so Precious is yabbering away in his ear giving him the recipe that he needs to cook.

‘Precious thinks he doesn’t really know what he’s doing.’

Death in Paradise airs on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.

Danai Gurira has paid tribute to Michonne, her character on The Walking Dead, and said leaving the show is ‘heartbreaking’.

The actress will bow out from The Walking Dead in season 10.

Before she hangs up Michonne’s sword for good, Danai had some moving words to say about the iconic character she has played since 2012.

She said: ‘Leaving the show has been such a heartbreaking thing because it’s such a beautiful family both when we get to share it with the world and as we make it together.

‘Playing Michonne has been one of the greatest blessings of my life and I have deeply learned from her and grown with her, and adored how I’ve been challenged by her and the amazing relationships I got to form with her and through her.’

She continued to Entertainment Weekly: ‘I will not just miss her but her weapon and we had a lot of fun and a lot of wonderful years, and I cannot express more love to the amazing cast and crew that I got to become family with, and also all of [the fans]. So have to say thank you and goodbye to Michonne.’

A recent trailer for the second half of season 10 has fans worried that Michonne might meet a grisly end at the hands of Beta (Ryan Hurst).

The future looks bright for the Black Panther star, who is getting behind the camera for her next project Americanah, an adaptation of the novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

She recalled watching Angela Kang do her thing as the showrunner on The Walking Dead and admitted she wasn’t sure she wanted to take on the massive responsibility.

Danai Gurira

The 42-year-old told the publication: ‘I’m watching these showrunners on my show for years, being like, “Oh, dang, do you want to take that on?”’

‘It’s a lot. I’m involved with every angle of it. It’s not a small thing to be taking on a 600-page novel and bringing it to the fore as a TV show. But I realised that if I didn’t do it I would never, ever forgive myself. Taking it on will require everything I’ve got, and then some.’

Remember when Jeremy Clarkson was Mr Blobby’s chauffeur in 1993? What a time to be alive

Everyone loves a walk down memory lane and this week it seems someone has just discovered The Grand Tour’s Jeremy Clarkson was once Mr Blobby’s chauffeur.

Just another reminder the 90s was a much better time than now.

For anyone who needs a slight reminder about who the heck we’re going on about, Mr Blobby was that loveable haphazard star of the 90s who was basically a walking calamity. He both endeared and terrified the masses.

And Jeremy Clarkson is a TV host.

Anyway, now you’re up to speed, Mr Blobby shot to fame in the early 90s on Noel’s House Party, and went on to have this incredible number one hit with a video that featured Jeremy Clarkson.

And that is where we lay our scene, after a Reditter posted online on Wednesday: ‘Today I learned that Clarkson is Mr. Blobby’s chauffeur, and I’m not the same as I used to be.’

And here’s Clarkson (Picture: Mr Blobby)

We don’t blame you, dear u/GripKing2000.

This thing seems to crop up every few years, when someone happens upon Mr Blobby’s clip – we don’t want to know what compels someone to look the video up, but that’s neither here nor there – and shares their bewilderment online.

Hosting Have I Got News For You- Inside Jeremy Clarkson's TV career
Jeremy has come a long way since 93 (Picture: BBC)

Throwing it back in 1993, well into his first major television presenting role on Top Gear, which began in 1988, Clarkson moonlighted as the curly-haired limousine driver for our dear old Mr Blobby.

He appears in the Christmas number one hit around the 31-second mark, clearly fed up with Mr Blobby as he rolled his eyes.

And then, just like that, he was gone.

If you take a peep on the YouTube clip of the song, one fan wrote: ‘Okay. I feel like not enough people know that Jeremy clarkson was mr blobbys chauffeur.’

And that’s where we come in.

Another simply asked: ‘Is that Clarkson being Blobbys driver?!?’ as one hilariously replied: ‘What many people don’t know is Blobby later went on to become The Stig.’

It’s a blobshell, guys.

Carol Vorderman also made an appearance though, as did Noel Edmonds, whose show made Mr Blobby a household name.

What a time to be alive, guys.

WWE Super ShowDown results: Goldberg beats The Fiend, Undertaker returns and more

WWE legend Goldberg wins the Universal Championship at Super ShowDown
Goldberg beat Bray Wyatt for the gold (Credit: WWE)

Super ShowDown change the landscape of WWE as Goldberg shocked the world and won the Universal Championship.

In one of the company’s more baffling moves, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt dropped the title just weeks from WrestleMania 36 as the Hall of Famer – a living legend but definition of a special attraction – as Goldberg started his second reign with the belt.

Bray’s creepy alter ego certainly looked strong in defeat as it took four spears and a Jackhammer to put him down, but the key to whether this will be seen as a success will be determined by what happens next.

The match itself was exactly what it needs to be – particularly after Goldberg’s disappointing outing against The Undertaker last year in Saudi Arabia – with the action kept short and sweet, with the final result the only real point of contention.

The Fiend was standing before he made his usual disappearance, but Goldberg will now almost definitely be going into the Show of Shows as SmackDown’s champion.

Given recent rumours, it seems very likely his challenger will end up being Roman Reigns as the Samoa superstar makes his way back to the top of the mountain and reclaims the championship he never lost after he stepped away from the ring in October 2018 to battle leukaemia.

The overwhelming positive – if this is how it unfolds – the Big Dog can win the gold at WrestleMania and most likely be cheered, rather than the chorus of boos he’d be met with if he’d beaten Wyatt in Tampa.

Interestingly, it seems The Fiend could be set for a huge match of his own, with John Cena’s SmackDown return on Friday night coming at the perfect time to set up another blockbuster match to make this title loss a footnote rather than another stumbling block for Bray.

Best of the rest:

The show started with a bang as R-Truth and Bobby Lashley kicked off the gauntlet match for the Tuwaiq Trophy, with the former lucking his way into wins over the All Mighty and Andrade.

However, AJ Styles was a step too far – and the Phenomenal One thought he’d won the whole thing when Rey Mysterio was taken out by the OC backstage.

The Undertaker saved the day, before walking out to a huge ovation and laying out Styles with a single Chokeslam, potentially setting up a huge WrestleMania bout.

History was made on the night too, with Bayley becoming the first woman to defend – and successfully retain – a championship in Saudi Arabia as she stole a win from Naomi in a great match-up.

Thankfully, the sneaky tactics the Role Model went to suggest this is far from over, and we could get a rematch at the Show of Shows.

Although Bayley was able to retain, we did get new SmackDown Tag Team champions earlier in the evening as The Miz and John Morrison took the gold for the first time in over a decade after a fun, energetic match-up with The New Day.

Over on the Raw side, Seth Rollins and Murphy faced a similarly tough task as they defended their titles against The Street Profits.

Both teams more than delivered, with the Monday Night Messiah’s stomp to the apron helping him and his disciple to victory with the belts on the line.

We should also probably spare a thought for poor Ricochet, who fell to Brock Lesnar in less than two minute without really registering a single attack on the WWE Champion.

The result was a foregone conclusion, with the Beast always going on to face Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre for the title at WrestleMania 36 – but a bit of drama would have been nice!

Quickfire results

  • Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match: The Undertaker beat AJ Styles in match featuring R-Truth, Erick Rowan, Andrade and Bobby Lashley after 32 minutes.
  • SmackDown Tag Team Title Match: Miz and Morrison beat The New Day (c) to win the titles after 13 minutes.
  • Angel Garza pinned Humberto Carrillo in 9 minutes.
  • Raw Tag Team Title Match: Seth Rollins and Murphy (c) retained over The Street Profits in almost 11 minutes.
  • Mansoor defeated Dolph Ziggler in 9 minutes.
  • WWE Title Match: Brock Lesnar destroyed Ricochet in 90 seconds.
  • Cage Match: Roman reigns pinned King Corbin after 13 and a half minutes.
  • SmackDown Women’s Title Match: Bayley (c) stole a win over Naomi in almost 12 minutes.
  • Universal Title Match: Goldberg won the title from “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt after just over 2 minutes.

Freddie Mercury has had a road named after him in West London where he lived in his teens

Freddie Mercury has had a road named after him in Feltham, West London, where he lived as a teenager, which is now known as Freddie Mercury Close.

The road, formerly called Hanworth Road, isn’t actually the one he lived on, but the late Queen singer grew up on a nearby street.

A ceremony was held on Monday to erect the new sign in the cul-de-sac, and fans were out in force to see the street name be unveiled.

His sister, Kashmira Cooke, was also reportedly there to see the ceremony which honoured Freddie.

Freddie Mercury Close also houses the headquarters of the World Zoroastrian Organisation, an ancient religion that he practised as a child.

Freddie, whose real name was Farrokh Bulsara, moved to Feltham with his family in 1964 after they moved from Zanzibar, and he lived there until 1970.

The legendary frontman passed away in November 1991, at just 45 years old, from bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDs.

His life story was immortalised in the 2018 movie Bohemian Rhapsody, with Rami Malek starring as the singer in the box office hit.

Despite their enduring success, Queen’s Roger Taylor revealed in April that he thought that the band would be over after Freddie’s death.

He told Good Morning America: ‘We thought it was all over. I think Brian [May] and I thought that was the end of that chapter.’

Brian and Roger currently tour as Queen with Adam Lambert filling in for Freddie, so audiences can still hear their legendary tracks live.

Adam had had his reservations about stepping into Freddie’s iconic shoes, explaining to People in 2018: ‘Not only did I have to make sure my voice held up and I know all the words … but it was also the perception of the fans; I definitely had some concerns.

‘This is not my music that I wrote: This is me, as a guest, with one of the greatest rock bands of all time, singing the songs that one of the greatest rock singers of all time brought to life.’

No pressure then…

Kris Jenner admits her daughter Kylie Jenner has been spending ‘a lot’ of time with her ex-boyfriend Travis Scott.

Kylie, 22, and 27-year-old Travis, who share two-year-old daughter Stormi, split in 2019 after three years together.

They have been co-parenting Stormi, taking her on fun days out and throwing an expensive, star-studded party for her second birthday.

Recent rumours claimed the young parents might have rekindled their relationship, but Kris is as in the dark as the rest of us on that front.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on her show, the 64-year-old said: ‘I don’t know if they’re back together, they’re just great co-parenters.’

When Ellen asked if they are ‘together a lot’, Kris nodded.

An insider spilled to People recently: ‘They are very happy. It seems too early to say that they are officially back together, though.’

The exes have certainly been kind to each other since the split, with Kylie previously declaring that they’re ‘like best friends’.

‘We have such a great relationship. We’re like best friends. We both love Stormi and want what’s best for her,’ she told Harper’s Bazaar.

‘We stay connected and coordinated. I think about [my parents] in situations with Stormi, what they would do. They were very hands-on with me, and I want the same for Stormi.’

Despite not being in a relationship currently, Kylie admits that her friends pile the pressure on her to have another child as soon as possible.

She added: ‘My friends all pressure me about it. They love Stormi. I definitely feel pressure to give her a sibling, but there’s no plan.’

The were previously spotted together at Jay Z and Beyonce’s Oscars after-party at Chateau Marmont this year, sparking yet more rumours they were back on.

Countdown’s Nick Hewer reveals bizarre injury he got from ‘pretending to be in a wheelchair’

Countdown’s Nick Hewer opened Thursdays show with a bizarre story about how he once injured himself by pretending to be in a wheelchair.

He opened the show talking about minor injuries and a thread he had seen online, before regaling (a rather confused) Rachel Riley with his own tale.

After telling her about a man who sprained his wrist after he started flailing wildly after walking into a spiders web and another who burned himself while trying to iron the shirt he was still wearing, Nick elaborated on his own unfortunate injury.

Nick told Rachel: ‘I had a bad incident, which sort of led to a series of very unfortunate things. I had at the time – a long time ago – a girlfriend who was quite a lot younger than me, actually.

‘And she was getting a bit keen, and I said “now look, you should really be going out with somebody your own age.”’

Now this is where the story takes a rather unexpected turn, as Nick continued: ‘We happened to be in an elevator at the time and I explained to her what I would look like if I were in a wheelchair and she was pushing me in a wheelchair.

‘So I crouched down to show her the sort of height differential, at which point I am resting my hands on the floor to bear my weight, when the lift stopped and it bent that finger right back.

METROGRAB Bizarre intro to Countdown Provider: Channel 4 Nick Hewer
Nick shared the bizarre story of how he injured his finer in a lift (Picture: Channel 4)

‘It was so painful, it was a very painful minor injury. So I went to see the doctor and said I’ve really hurt this, and he said “ooh you have”.

‘And with that he produced the longest needle syringe you’ve ever seen. I said “what are you going to do with that?!” And he said “it’s going to grate a bit”, and he plunged it into my knuckle.’

He added: ‘It was so sore, never do that again.’

METROGRAB Bizarre intro to Countdown Provider: Channel 4 Rachel Riley

Rachel quipped: ‘So never go out with a younger woman, pretend you’re in a wheelchair, lie on the ground in the lift and then go to the doctor?’

Nick confirmed: ‘I am never larking around in a lift.’

We have no words.

Countdown is on weekdays from 2.10pm on Channel 4.

Montana Brown fears Caroline Flack ‘won’t be last’ Love Island star to die by suicide as she opens up on anxiety and depression in contestants

Caroline Flack and Montana Brown
Montana fears for other Love Island contestants dealing with social media trolls

Former Love Island star Montana Brown has shared her fears that Caroline Flack’s suicide might not be the last one linked to the ITV dating show.

The reality star appeared on the 2017 series and has been open about the effect its fame had on her mental health, however Montana, 24, was also close with co-Islander Mike Thalassitis, who tragically died by suicide in 2019.

Now she’s spoken about her heartbreak at the loss of former show host Caroline, who took her own life on 15 February.

Caroline, 40, had been the host of the dating show from 2015-19, before she stepped down after being charged with assault following an incident with boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Since Caroline’s death, there has been a social media campaign with the tag #BeKind encouraging everyone, including the wider media, to spread more love.

Saying she feels ‘helpless’ knowing that ‘people are suffering’, Montana shared her hopes that this ‘doesn’t happen to anyone else’, however, as she told Mail Online: ‘But I don’t think Caroline will be the last person to do this if I’m honest and that is what’s really sad.’

Montana Brown
Montana appeared on the show in 2017 (Picture: ITV)

Sophie Gradon, who appeared on the 2016 series, also died by suicide in 2018.

Montana continued: ‘For me, and I think I can speak for a lot of Love Islanders, you feel like “Oh my God, who else is unhappy?” I need to speak to everyone. You feel this pressure because you don’t want your friends to be unhappy, what can I do?

‘It’s helplessness because you know people are suffering and that’s a categorical fact. Every single person that I’m friends with from Love Island suffers from anxiety or depression or something to do with mental health. It’s actually terrifying.’

Caroline Flack
Caroline took her own life aged 40 (Picture: Rex)

However Montana did not blame the show for the mental health struggles of contestants and former stars of the popular series, instead believing stars of the series find it hard to cope with the sudden onslaught of trolls on social media and threats of violence in their inbox.

‘People are so judgmental. You have to live your mistakes publicly every time you make a mistake,’ she said. ‘It’s not just you and your friends and your parents but you’re dealing with a barrage of trolls telling you to kill yourself and telling you you’re worthless and no one likes you, that they’re going to throw acid in your face and you’re like what?’

She added: ‘You get insanely paranoid about things. It’s heart-breaking.’

Speaking of her own crippling anxiety, Montana said stepping away from social media helped her mind after a horrendous bout of anxiety left her withdrawing from not only her social circle, but everyday activities she normally loved.

An inquest last week heard that Caroline took her own life, with her twin sister Jody identifying her body.

The inquest will resume in August.

Peaky Blinders season five is finally coming to Netflix, so we can relive the drama all over again.

The fifth series of the historical drama aired on BBC last September, with Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) being pushed to the edge over his war with Oswald Mosely (Sam Clafin).

And, in case you wanted to rewatch the whole thing ahead of season six, it will be popping up on the streaming platform very soon.

In fact, the official Twitter account confirmed: ‘Peaky Blinders s5 comes to Netflix on April 22.’

Binge night, anyone?

The news comes just weeks after director Anthony Byrne gave us a teaser of the next batch of episodes, blessing us with the episode title.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a snap of the script with fans, with the title: ‘Black Day’.

‘We are in pre-production on Season 6. More to come. By Order of…,’ he wrote alongside the upload.

And we have so many questions – what does Black Day mean? Who will be starring in it? Will we really have to wait until January, 2021 for it?

Peaky Blinders fans can breathe a massive sigh of relief as it has been confirmed that Tommy Shelby will be going nowhere.

Show boss Steven insisted he has no plans to kill off the main character, telling Radio Times: ‘Dead? Never – he’s immortal.’

To be fair, we assumed the same about Tom Hardy’s Alfie Solomons and look what happened there…

He also lifted the lid on when the main series will be coming to an end, hinting a movie could be on the way.

‘I know how it’s going to end, this particular incarnation of the family story, I know that it’s going to end at the beginning of the Second World War,’ he continued.

‘But after that, I think that the momentum is such that maybe we will continue with other bits of the story.

‘I’m writing series six at the moment. That’s almost done. Then I’m going to do series seven, then I’m looking at spin-offs, maybe a movie. It’s up to us. It’s up to the people involved.’

Tommy Shelby on the big screen? Bring it on.

Flesh And Blood fans fume over frustrating episode 4 finale

Flesh And Blood's Mark

**Spoilers for the finale episode of Flesh And Blood**

Flesh And Blood came to an end tonight after having us glued to our televisions for the past four days – yet the final episode didn’t satisfy most audiences.

The closing scenes of the new ITV thriller, starring Imelda Staunton and Stephen Rea, finally confirmed who was attacked on the night of the accident, so look away now if you don’t want spoilers.

A flashback of the evening in question revealed how Jake went head to head against Mark as he confronted him about the death of his late wife. As things started to get heated, Vivien fainted and her kids scrambled to help, pushing doctor Mark out of the way in the process.

Mark and Jake then took things outside and threw punches at each other, until Mark was accidentally shoved over the balcony in the heat of the moment.

The children didn’t reveal what had really happened to Mark to their mum Vivien (Picture: ITV)

Mary attempted to kill Mark (Picture: ITV)

Nosy neighbour was on hand to calm everyone down and after she ordered the children to call the emergency services, she went down to check on Mark, holding her hands over his nose and mouth in a final attempt to kill him off.

While doctors weren’t convinced that Mark would survive, last scenes showed the character waking up – with police confirming that he does really have a daughter.

Fans weren’t too pleased with how Flesh And Blood came to an end and rushed to Twitter to share their disappointment.

One fumed: ‘Another drama with a weird ending. I’m a bit sick of investing time expecting to see a well wrapped up finale and then being left confused.’

Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘Really enjoyed #FleshandBlood but found the ending an anticlimax.’

But not everyone was raging, with one simply writing: ‘Excellent final episode, well done @ITV and everyone involved with #FleshAndBlood.’

Showrunner Sarah Williams teased that Flesh And Blood could return with a second-inning – and with how the first series ended we sure do need answers.

Flesh And Blood is available to stream on the ITVHub.

Baldur’s Gate 3 reveal could make it the best RPG ever

Baldur’s Gate 3 screenshot
Baldur’s Gate 3 – a role-playing fan’s dream (pic: Larian Studios)

The creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 have offered a detailed look at Baldur’s Gate 3 and it already looks absolutely stunning.

Larian Studios has given the first proper preview of Baldur’s Gate 3 and it looks like it could beat their own Divinity: Original Sin 2 to become the best computer role-playing game ever.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was announced last year, as part of the Google Stadia reveal, but until now nothing has been seen of it in the flesh except for a short pre-rendered teaser.

It later became clear that the game would also be released on PC and now it’s confirmed it will enter early access later this year, with a more limited selection of just five pre-made characters (although you can make an infinite number of your own custom ones).

Early access for a story-based role-player is an odd decision but like the Original Sin games, Baldur’s Gate 3 will offer splitscreen co-op for two-players and four-player competitive multiplayer – which probably needs a lot of testing.

As you can see, the graphics are a considerable improvement on anything Larian has done before, with the pre-rendered intro already available to watch in full above. But the in-game graphics are equally impressive, with the ability to zoom in from a traditional top-down view to a face-to-face chat with characters.

Larian are promising a story that will last at least 100 hours, and which will use the official Fifth Edition Dungeons & Dragons rules. That means 15 races and subraces in total and eight different classes.

Baldur’s Gate 3 screenshot
Baldur’s Gate 3 – a divinely pretty game (pic: Larian Studios)

The original two Baldur’s Gate games were first released in the late 90s and early 2000s, and for years were considered the definitive example of a Western role-player.

They were amongst BioWare’s first games, but while Dragon Age was nominally intended as a spiritual sequel it’s Larian’s work on the Original Sin series that skews closer in terms of complexity and freedom of choice.

The games are set in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting, so while there are still orcs and elves the mind flayers – the Lovecraftian-looking things in the intro – are one of the main antagonists of the story.

The most significant change from the original games, beyond the visuals, is that combat is now purely turn-based, rather than being real-time with the ability to pause it (ironically, turn-based gameplay was seen as old-fashioned at the time of the originals).

The combat is similar to the XCOM-esque action of Original Sin but Baldur’s Gate 3 goes further by allowing you to make the entire game turn-based if you want.

The idea is that stealth sequences in particular can be handled more precisely, which is almost a necessity given Baldur’s Gate 3 uses virtual dice rolls for everything, including using conversation skills, so you can never guarantee any action will work and have to constantly think on your feet.

With everything from inter-party romances to a full physics engine promised for the game, Baldur’s Gate 3 looks set to be one of the most important role-playing game releases of modern times.

However, Larian has said it’s unlikely to be released on current generation consoles, with the implication being that it would only come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Death In Paradise ends on happy note as DI Neville Parker decides to stay in Saint Marie

It was all’s well that ends well on Death In Paradise as DI Neville Parker (Ralf Little) had a big decision to make.

After taking over from Detective Jack Mooney (Ardal O’Hanlan), Neville was good and ready to pack up and ship out from Saint Marie back to Britain.

But as he solved yet another complicated murder where all wasn’t what it seemed, he became more and more reluctant to say goodbye.

There was even a leaving party for him and things seemed pretty final, and Neville was waved off in a taxi by his new police force friends.

But in the episode’s last moments he suddenly returned, saying he didn’t want to go back to his lonely life in Blighty.

He said: ‘My mother always says sometimes you have to break something before you can try to fix it.

The Commissioner isn’t a fan of the new DI (Picture: BBC/Red Planet/Denis Guyenon)

‘I know it’s gonna be hard and I’m gonna feel dreadful all the time, but I’m fed up with living the way I have to rather than the way I want to.

‘I’d love to be a DI permanently if you’ll have me.’

While everyone was elated that he had decided to stay, one person who was less pleased was Commissioner Selwyn Patterson (Don Warrington) who had hoped he would be rid of Neville.

But he reluctantly agreed to put the detective on a ‘rolling contract’ to see how he gets on.

There was also good news for Officer JP Hooper (Tobi Bakare), who passed his Sergeant’s exam ‘with flying colours’ according to the Commissioner, and got promoted to Sergeant.

Celebs Go Dating’s Dean Gaffney endures awkward date with EastEnders extra

Dean Gaffney Celebs Go Dating
Dean Gaffney is continuing his Celebs Go Dating journey (Picture: E4)

Dean Gaffney’s Celebs Go Dating journey has not got off to the best start, after he was pied at the very first mixer.

And the EastEnders actor’s latest date didn’t go swimmingly when he came face-to-face with a co-star… sort of.

Rocking up to drinks, the 42-year-old – who played Robbie Jackson in the BBC soap – settled down for a chat with Melanie, who dropped a huge bombshell on him.

‘Actually our paths have crossed before,’ she explained. ‘Not in that way, no…

‘Last time probably was in the Vic.

‘For 10 years I did a lot of extra work and supporting artist work.’

Dean Gaffney Celebs Go Dating
Dean’s date revealed that she was an extra on EastEnders with him (Picture: E4)

Unfortunately for the 38-year-old, Dean didn’t seem to have any recollection of bumping into her in Walford – but he did remember stuffing his pockets full of sausages, so there is that…

And the actor wasn’t that taken by the date as a whole.

Speaking to the camera afterwards, he said: ‘I think I’m going to use this date as a book. I’ve read the book and I’m going to fold the page over in half and put a bookmark there.

‘And if I don’t see any other gripping novels, maybe I’ll come back and revisit that one.’

Dean Gaffney Celebs Go Dating
Dean didn’t seem that keen on seeing Melanie again… (Picture: E4)

Maybe just try another bookshop, hun?

Dean recently made headlines when he addressed having his current contract terminated by the soap bosses, after allegedly bombarding a 26-year-old woman with lewd social media images and ‘requests for pictures’.

And, in a chat with the Sun, he branded the decision to axe his character ‘harsh’.

‘I didn’t just go in there like a Neanderthal asking for pictures, I went along with it and now it’s come back on me – it was not like she was brought to the table kicking and screaming.

‘I have a self-destruct button and people can’t understand why I press it, I have no idea why I pressed it.

‘I think EastEnders just thought “enough is enough” – and I don’t blame them, they said to me, “you are either really bad at picking women or you need to sort it out, you need to go off and find out why you are doing these things”.’

Hopefully dating coaches Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson can help Dean figure it out.

Celebs Go Dating continues on weeknights, at 9pm, on E4.

Man has best clapback for people who ask stupid question about his dwarfism

Josh First Dates
Josh’s brilliant comeback to ignorant questions is everything (Picture: Channel 4)

First Dates viewers have gone wild over 27-year-old Josh who has shared the best clapback for people who ask him stupid questions about his dwarfism.

The actor was looking for love on the Channel 4 show and began by sharing his story.

When it came to people asking him questions, he shared one that would definitely grind the gears if it became a regular occurrence.

‘One of the things girls, even blokes, have asked is, “How long have you been a dwarf?”,’ Josh said on tonight’s episode.

Asked what his response was, Josh quipped: ‘How long have you been a tw*t?’

And that, dear reader, is how it’s done – snaps for Josh.

Of course everyone was loving the actor – who has starred as a Gringotts goblin in Harry Potter, as well as serving as Peter Dinklage’s body double – and his witty clapback.

And that was before his date, Lori, had even entered the First Dates restaurant!

Still, Josh said he was often hesitant to put himself out there, as he explained: ‘Are they still going to be interested in me when they see I’m little?

‘I wish I had that someone, she’s out there somewhere.’

After meeting Lori, it seemed his prayers were answered.

And Josh had told cameras he won’t let any potential height difference get in the way of a good snog.

‘With my height, it can be sometimes awkward having a kiss,’ Josh began. ‘If there’s a step I’ll get on it, if there’s a table I’ll stand on it. If it means they’ve got to bend down or I’ve got to stand up, so be it. If it means I’m getting a kiss, go on!’

However, things got deep when the pair began sharing their dating history, with Josh admitting he’s often hesitant to put himself out there after facing women in the past who only wanted to sleep with him as a tale to tell.

‘My height puts a downer on me – I do think to myself will I ever find love,’ Josh, who is 4ft 5in, said to Lori, who is 4ft 11in. ‘I assume people aren’t going to want me, I’m a dwarf…so I don’t bother.’

It took fans about two seconds to fall in love with the pair.

Fans were loving Josh and Lori:

Luckily, spoiler alert, the pair said they’d both like to see one another again, as they left the date together and got into a cab to go and grab some ‘Jägers’.

Is this true love?

We think so.

RM got to hang out with some real life animals on the set of the new BTS music video.

The K-pop group released their title track ON from their comeback album Map Of The Soul: 7.

Featuring various biblical references, it saw rapper RM appear in scenes very similar to the story of Noah’s arc as he was surrounded by animals looking wistful.

After the video’s release on Thursday, the idol took to Twitter to share some sweet snaps from the video shoot.

RM looked cute posing next to an alpaca, as a llama loitered around in the background.

He joked that his new four-legged friend was his band mate Jin, whose BT21 character RJ is a parka-wearing alpaca. He tried to get the animal to face the right way for their close-up.

The South Korean group are set to take Map Of The Soul: 7 on the road in a mammoth world tour later this year.

They will kick things off at the Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium in Seoul on 11-12 April, and then the 18-19 April.

Then they will head off to the US and take in Santa Clara, Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, New Jersey, Washington DC, Chicago, then onto Canada and Toronto.

UK ARMY who aren’t in London will have to make the trip to the capital on 3 and 4 July as they take over Twickenham Stadium before moving on to Europe with dates in Netherlands, Berlin and Barcelona.

After that they visit Japan, performing in Osaka, Saitama and lastly Tokyo on 1 and 2 September.

Speaking on New Music Daily recently, the Boy With Luv singers described this comeback as ‘like a big diary for our past seven years’.

RM explained: ‘It’s kind of about how we could stumble from time to time but we get, we got back up. And so, like, ON is, like, when did people first hear about the title ON? It’s like, what’s ON?

‘You know, it’s like, it’s very brief. When we say ON it’s like, we on, or, like, on air. It’s like, bring it on. We, we could like imagine it many things.

‘Yeah, so it’s like a declaration for that we have admitted our, like, destiny, you know, all the, all the pains and all the shadows.’
