Olivia Attwood savagely trolls recent Love Island splits: ‘They’re dropping like flies’

Liv let her thoughts be known on the recent spate of breakups (Picture: Wenn)

The past week has seen a spate of Love Island break-ups and Olivia Attwood might be just as shocked as the rest of us.

Last week it was announced Paul Knops and Laura Anderson had called it quits, while this week Metro.co.uk broke the news Laura Crane and Jack Fowler had also split, just two months after leaving the Love Island villa.

Sad face.

While Olivia – who starred in last year’s season, coming in third place – is no longer with her Island beau Chris Hughes, she was still pretty surprised this year’s crop were having less luck outside the villa.

Queen of sass, right here (Picture: GC Images)

Taking to Twitter, she savagely trolled the 2018 breakups and, to be honest, it’s a real mood.

She wrote: ‘Love island couples dropping like flys this year! Interesting that… I thought we were bad.’

We love the honesty in this woman! Where can we bottle it?

Fans were quick to reply to Liv, who split with Chris earlier this year in February as they filmed reality show Crackin’ On. (Which didn’t make for heartbreaking viewing. No…not at all *side eye*.)

One asked: ‘Wonder if they go back to their ex boyfriends?’

Another stood up for the remaining couples as they listed them out roll call-style: ‘Wes and Megan, Adam and Zara, dani and jack, sam and Georgia, Ellie and Charlie, kaz and josh are all still together?? That’s pretty much the whole villa. (sic)’

A third added: ‘If it’s meant to be , it’s bloody well meant to be.’

Months earlier in December, 2017 winners Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies also parted ways, failing to make a relationship work in the harsh light of fame.

Then, in May, Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville, who came in fourth, bit the dust, amid cheating allegations.

Here’s hoping no other couples from this year’s cohort break up – our hearts can take no more.

At least there is some light in the fact that we have our first Love Island wedding, after Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen tied the knot over the weekend.

Emmerdale spoilers: Who is behind the mask at the mysterious masquerade ball?

Emmerdale masquerade ball
(Picture: ITV)

All Emmerdale have to do is release nine seconds of footage to get us all speculating and with the very first teaser to the major autumn week that sees a masquerade ball at Home Farm, they have done just that!

Fans have their theories as a masked attendee was shown in the very brief clip, alongside the tagline ‘it begins’. The ITV soaps always step up a notch in October and this year seems no different. But as the special ball is launched at the manor house in aid of Sarah Sugden’s charitable cause, there are some surprises in store.

And all people can talk about right now is who is lurking behind that mask.

MORE: Emmerdale spoilers: Tragedy as Chas Dingle goes into labour

Kim Tate

Kim Tate in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Speculating anyone else almost seems like a formality. Blonde hair? Check. Blue eyes? Check. Connection to Home Farm? Check. Iconic enough to make an entrance beneath a very glam mask? Check. Major enough to warrant a publicity campaign? Check.

We have seen Graham on the phone to a mystery person several times, warning them about what is happening with Joe and as he fears he will lose his fortune due to his love for Debbie, will Graham bring Kim into the fold to sort things out?

Charity Dingle

Charity loves Vanessa in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Charity loves a disguise, let’s face it – who can forget her very on point role as Chrissie White when she went to withdraw cash from the bank? After everything she has been through, does Charity want to let her hair down, glam up and cause some real trouble at Home Farm?

We’re sure she hasn’t completely forgotten everything that Joe has done this past year – perhaps she has just been biding her time for revenge.

Rebecca White

(Picture: ITV)

At the moment, fans remain in the dark over what has happened to Rebecca. Taking over from the late Lawrence as the seemingly unkillable White (they got him in the end!), it’s hard to keep up with what is going on with her as she lunges from one horror to the next.

So if she were alive and wanted to reconnect with Home Farm, we don’t blame her for wanting to wear a mask as who knows who is lurking around the corner just waiting to make the hundredth attempt on her life?

Kathy Glover

(Picture: ITV)

Whenever you speculate the return of an iconic blonde character from the past, thoughts always immediately turn to Kim Tate – but Kathy Glover, Emmerdale’s very own black widow, still has connections in the show and perhaps fancies a trip down memory lane.

What if the blonde behind the mask whose name begins with K isn’t who everyone is assuming?

Vanessa Woodfield

(Picture: ITV)

We’re automatically assuming that the person behind the mask is here to cause trouble and drama but what if the teaser is misleading us and is actually just a scene of joy and fun for everyone’s favourite pairing, Vanity?

Hiding behind masks, Charity and Vanessa could just be out to have some fun – and then they could make use of the masks themselves to have some mischief. Or is that fan fiction territory?

Cheryl Foster

(Picture: ITV)

This is a little bit far-fetched but then we remember that this is Emmerdale and a masquerade ball is oh so Dynasty. So why not throw in a Dynasty-esque OTT return from the dead to give Graham one hell of a shock.

Is he so sure his wife Cheryl died that day? Are we? Long shot, but we’d put nothing past these scriptwriters!

Val Pollard

It’s about time for the annual ghostly appearance from Val, surely? She’d be so at home at a masquerade ball.

Tom Cruise takes to the skies for Top Gun reboot then lands after mid-air emergency

Tom Cruise’s Top Gun reboot has taken to the skies – and then landed again in Nevada after the jet Cruise was flying in experienced a ‘flap caution’ mid-air.

Back in his G-Suit as Capt Pete ‘Maverick’ Marshall, Cruise was pictured talking to the admiral of a Navy base in the US state of Nevada after he and his co-pilot made an unplanned stop.

TMZ reports that the check engine light came on mid-way through their flight.

EXCLUSIVE: **??NO USA TV AND NO USA WEB ** Tom Cruise has always looked dashing in a suit ... especially in a G-suit. TMZ got this pic of Tom dressed as Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell for the 'Top Gun' sequel. These pics were taken over the weekend at a base in Nevada, where Tom also had time to chit chat with the Admiral there, along with fans. It's interesting ... Tom flew the chopper by himself in "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" but apparently even the great stunt actor has his limits. The other guy suited up is the actual F-18 pilot Tom flew with from a base in northern California. He apparently serves as Tom's double based on how the jet's equipped -- the back of the fighter jet (where we're told Tom was sitting) is mounted with cameras facing Tom's POV. If ya didn't know ... Tom's now a flight instructor who mentors Goose's grown son. NICE!!. 17 Sep 2018 Pictured: Tom Cruise top gun. Photo credit: TMZ/MEGA TheMegaAgency.com +1 888 505 6342

But for fans of the 80s classic, Cruise back in his uniform will make for a welcome sight, as it’s been 32 years since we last saw Maverick declare he had a need, a need for speed.

Filming began on the sequel earlier in the summer, with Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski helming the sequel – which is expected to come out on 12 July 2019.

Tom Cruise as Maverick in 1986’s Top Gun (Picture: Paramount)

Sharing a few details about the upcoming movie last year, Kosinski explained that the sequel to Top Gun would tackle the Navy of today head-on.

‘The Navy is very different now than it was in 1986. Back then, they hadn’t been in any war for 15 or 20 years at that point,’ the director remarked.

‘Now, here in 2017, the Navy’s been at war for 20 years. It’s just a different world now, so you can’t remake the first movie. It has to adapt.’

Goose’s son will be mentored by Maverick (Picture: Paramount)

Val Kilmer will also reprise his role as Iceman, while the film is thought to follow Maverick as he mentors former partner Goose’s son, played by Miles Teller.

Jennifer Connolly also signed up to the project, while rising New Zealand star Thomasin McKenzie will play the daughter of Connolly’s character, Transformers actor Charles Parnell will play an admiral and GLOW’s Bashir Salahuddin, will star as an engineer.

Claire Richards has revealed the heartbreaking reason behind her recent weight loss.

The Steps star showed off the results of her six stone weight loss in 2017, having dropped from 16 and a half stone, after struggling with her weight for most of her adult life.

She has noe revealed the dramatic weight loss was to have another baby, but that it ‘didn’t work out.’

‘You know what it’s like if you’re a woman in the music business and you dare to put on a little bit of weight, you’ve struggled,’ Lorraine Kelly asked the singer. ‘But you wanted to lose weight for a special reason, you wanted to have another baby.’

Looking slightly uncomfortable, Claire responded: ‘Yeah we did at the time, but it wasn’t to be.’

Probing further, Lorraine asked: ‘Have you given up on that?’

‘Yeah I think so,’ Claire said. ‘My youngest is eight and Charlie has just started secondary school, so I think the ship has sailed.

‘It didn’t happen and there’s lots to do over the next few years so I just think it wouldn’t have been fair. If it had happened at the time it would have been great but it didn’t.’

The star was on the show to promote her new music, but also took a moment to support her pal Faye Tozer as she gears up for her stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

Claire says Faye probably can’t rely on her Steps dance training (Picture: Redferns)

Addressing criticism that Faye has dance experience, Claire joked that being in Steps certainly didn’t qualify Faye as a dancer.

‘I’m so excited for her,’ she said. ‘I think this [does Tragedy dance] is not quite as complicated or that [does One For Sorrow moves].’

Claire added: ‘She is a great dancer, I think you’d be hard pushed to find someone who hasn’t got dance experience.

‘Once it gets started I think everyone will forget about that. She works hard.’

Kendall Jenner proves she doesn’t care about her ‘leaked nudes’ by… well, leaking her own nudes

Kendall Jenner found her naked pictures splashed across the internet after a shoot for famed photographer Russell James leaked online.

But it looks like she couldn’t give AF.

The 22-year-old has subtly brushed off the haters by sharing her own nearly-nude pictures online.

Fresh from walking the Burberry catwalk at London Fashion Week, Kendall decided to spice up her Instagram account by sharing pictures of herself topless.

The picture saw Kendall standing in front of a small round mirror, showing that she was topless and either going commando or wearing very, very low-slung pants.

Instagram Photo

Kendall also posted a video, showing herself wearing lace underwear – but again, no bra.

The model then seemingly addressed the leaked naked pictures, captioning the picture: ‘Technically this is just my torso…’

There was plenty of appreciation for the post, including from Kendall’s big sister Kim Kardashian, who left a string of flame emojis, and Bella Hadid, who commented: ‘There she goes! Best torso 2018.’

Kendall posed naked for an artsy shoot for Russell James’s new book Angels, but the pictures surfaced after a computer containing the files was stolen.

The striking pictures see the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star riding a horse naked, while another sees her sprinting along the beach starkers.

Others show Kendall posing in a tree, and also in the ocean – proving any bit of nature can be nudist territory.

Being a model, baring all doesn’t seem to faze Kenny – she previously went topless for Love magazine, stripping off for a dip in the decidely freezing Hampstead Heath ponds.

You’ve gotta suffer for your craft.

Game Of Thrones fans are convinced Peter Dinklage referenced a popular theory in his Emmys speech

Game Of Thrones fans have revived hope for a popular fan theory following Peter Dinklage’s win at the Emmys 2018.

The 49-year-old actor scored Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Tyrion Lannister, but fans have taken one detail in his acceptance speech as a spoiler for season eight.

During his speech, Dinklage paid thanks to co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) by referring him to as a ‘brother from another mother’.

Are Tyrion and Jaime only half-brothers? (Picture: HBO)

If you’re not up to speed on GOT theories, fans have long speculated Tyrion Lannister is actually a Targaryen – rumoured to be the son of Aerys II Targaryen and Joanna Lannister.

This is heavily fuelled by the Three Headed Dragon prophecy, which states three Targaryen’s will fly three dragons into battle – referring to Daenerys, Jon Snow aka Aegon Targaryen and a mystery third, believed to be Tyrion.

So now Dinklage’s words have sent a speculative quiver down the fandom.

Of course, there’s a mild technicality. If the theory and speech are to be believed, Tyrion and Jaime would actually be a brother from another father. But let’s not dwell too much on that.

Fans grasping onto any tiny detail to speed up the wait for season eight? A genuine, impressively planted, tease? You decide.

Game Of Thrones is set to return for its final season in 2019.

Emmerdale spoilers: Joy for Vanity fans as Charity and Vanessa say ‘I love you’

(Picture: ITV)

It’s been a long time coming and it shows real progress to Charity Dingle’s character that after years of heartbreak, failed relationships and scheming, she is about to declare her love to Vanessa Woodfield in Emmerdale – and mean every word.

The pairing of Charity and Vanessa – affectionately known to their thriving fanbase as Vanity – certainly came out of the blue and no-one could have predicted quite how well it would work. The chemisty, element of fun and genuine mutual support when things got serious made this a relationship to watch and Charity in particular showed a whole new, more human side to her character.

Charity loves Vanessa in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Vanessa has been by Charity’s side throughout some of the most testing times of her life as she confronted her traumatic childhood, took on DI Bails and also discovered that a baby she gave birth to when she was 14 survived.

Patiently and with great love, Vanessa has stuck through this with Charity, even when she pushed her away and when Charity faces the fresh challenge of coming face to face with her father Obadiah, who kicked her out of the family home as a teenager, Vanessa is a pillar of strength once more.

We can’t reveal whether Obadiah gives Charity any closure nor how the mutual love declaration comes about – but we can safely say that this is a week to watch for Vanity fans.

EastEnders spoilers: Danny Dyer reveals that Mick Carter will take revenge on Stuart Highway

Linda, Mick and Stuart in EastEnders
(Picture: BBC/Metro.co.uk)

Stuart Highway has been a poison to the Carter family in EastEnders – since he returned to Mick’s life, he has ripped the clan apart and now Mick is languishing in prison accused of being the one who shot him. As Mick maintains his innocence, he is about to face a horrific ordeal at the hands of his fellow inmates.

Linda is doing all that she can to try and save Mick and clear his name but it’s not going to be that easy – Stuart is determined to make his former friend pay. However, Danny Dyer has revealed that Mick may not be down and out yet – and the prisoner is already planning to have his revenge against the man who has brought so much pain to his family.

Here, he reveals all:

In general, how is Mick feeling in the aftermath of the shooting and being sent to prison?

Mick’s devastated about the whole situation. Stuart was one of his oldest friends and it kills him to think he didn’t even know who the man was.

How do you think he’ll cope in prison?

Mick is in prison in EastEnders
(Picture: BBC)

I think Mick is thinking he won’t be in prison for long. He’s saying he hasn’t done it, he thinks be out in a matter of days.

How does he feel knowing that Stuart has survived, and that the rest of the Carters could be more vulnerable than ever?

Mick knows he’s just got to get through being in prison. He knows Shirley will protect Linda and Tina. He just has to survive. He does worry about his boy of course and he knows Stuart is a threat but Mick has just got to try and survive and get through this prison process.

Can you talk us through the bad start that Mick gets off to in prison?

Mick’s been sent to quite a dangerous prison. I think as soon as he walks in he realises he’s on his own and he has no friends in prison. For any sort of normal guy that goes into prison it’s a real wake-up call and he needs to find his feet quickly.

Tell us about Fraser – what sort of bloke is Mick dealing with here?

Mick struggles in prison in EastEnders
(Picture: BBC)

He realises that if you’re gonna survive, you need to get in with whoever is running the wing. He realises that Fraser is that man. Mick needs a mobile phone, or a burner as you call them, he wants to ring his son Johnny to wish him happy birthday cos he doesn’t want Johnny to know he’s in prison.

What sort of consequences does Mick face if he doesn’t do as he is told?

Well he’s just trying to find his feet. He doesn’t know the prison rules. He doesn’t understand them. He just wants to stay out of trouble and do his time as quickly as possible so he’s learning with every minute of the day. He has no idea how much trouble he’s in.

What was your reaction when you first heard that Mick would be sent to prison?

It’s tied in lovely with the Stuart storyline. With Stuart all bets are off, anything can happen. What I was really pleased about was we don’t just leave it at the gates, we actually delve into the darkness of what it’s like to try and survive in prison. I’m really happy to be focused on that.

Was it strange being out of The Vic and on the prison set?

The job changes when you go off the Square. We built a set within the studio and I was interacting with different characters so it didn’t feel like EastEnders for a bit. I really think we’ve nailed it. It was very well cast. It was nice to get a bit of a fresh intake on how Mick would survive away from his family.

What has been your favourite scene to film with Ricky Champ so far?

I think Ricky’s a wonderful actor, he’s very underrated, he’s been under the radar for long enough and I think this is a beautiful platform for him. A lot of actors forget how many people watch this type of show. There’s no better way to way to show what you can do than on this massive platform and I think he’s done that. It’s been a real pleasure. I quite liked our early stuff when he first came in and it was all joking around. Them scenes are long gone now though (laughs).

Ultimately would you like Mick to be the one to bring Stuart down once and for all?

Yeah of course. I don’t know what happens now but Mick is going to be slightly adjusted I would have thought as a human being. Ultimately he’s going to want revenge for everything though. All you have in prison is your own thoughts and Mick’s been thinking about Stuart a lot.

George R.R. Martin’s Emmys get-up was so Game Of Thrones you may not have noticed just how GOT it was.

Yeah, you read that right.

George took sartorial geekdom to a whole new level when he accessorised his snazzy suit and flat cap with a turtle broach which featured a purple gem-stone.

If you didn’t know the turtle is the ridiculously awesome fashion Easter egg the headline for this story refers to, because GOT was actually based upon the fictional exploits of turtles – specifically George’s castle full of lordly turtles.

That little turtle broach represents the little reptiles who helped inspire him to write his award-winning creation (Picture: OConnor-Arroyo / AFF-USA.com / MEGA)

It harks back to an interview with the Financial Times from 2011, when he recalled how he came up with the concept for GOT in the first place.

‘I had a toy castle set up near my bed, made of tin, and the courtyard was just big enough for two turtle tanks, and I had five or six turtles who lived in the castle,’ he explained. ‘I decided they were knights, lords and kings, so I started writing this whole fantasy series about the turtle kingdom and the king of the turtles.’

On the whole topic of A Song of Ice and Fire’s body counts he added: ’And these particular turtles seemed to die very easily. I don’t think it was really a very good environment for them. Sometimes they would escape and you would find them under the refrigerator a month later, all dead.

‘So my turtles kept dying, which was very distressing but it also made me think, “Why are they dying? Well, they are killing each other in sinister plots.” I started writing this fantasy about who was killing who, and the wars for succession. So Game of Thrones originally began with turtles, I think.’

So, there you go. Best GOT Easter egg ever? Quite possibly!

Jennifer Garner has been larking about with friend Reese Witherspoon’s new book.

Reese has just released Whiskey In A Teacup, a lifestyle book about ‘what growing up in the south taught me’ and to show her support, Jennifer Garner got herself a copy of the book and decided to try out Reese’s tips, particularly for ‘how to hot-roller your hair.’

With the addition of the Bake Off theme, Jennifer filmed herself as she tackled the life obstacle of being able to hot-roller her own ‘do, juggling that with picking the kids up from school.

‘Apply mousse,’ she said in the clip, reading from the instructions and looking around for the absent said mousse. ‘Apply the hair into the heated rollers and clip them down – well I can do that!’

With a full head of clips, she was instructed to get in the car and go where she’s going.

Jennifer took the all-important manual with her for the journey, and read that she was required to have a red lipstick to complete her task, and thus complied with the nearest thing she had.

‘I’m at my destination,’ she told the camera, before beginning to take out the rollers and reveal bouncy curls underneath.

‘Do I look Southern?’ She asked the camera. ‘Boy are my kids going to be surprised.’

We’re sold, ‘scuse us while we head off to get a copy of that book.

The fun video comes amid estranged husband Ben Affleck’s struggles, as she helped him to return to rehab to battle his addiction.

The actor has been working hard to make life improvements, and is said to be ‘getting himself together’ for the sake of Jennifer and their three children Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six.

His brother Casey told People: ‘Ben is an addict and an alcoholic. Most of my grandparents are alcoholics.

‘My father is an alcoholic, as bad as you can be, and he’s been sober for about 30 years. I’ve been sober for about six years.’

He went on to say: ‘Alcoholism has a huge impact on not just the person, but also their family. I think for his kids’ sake and for their mom, and for himself, he’s trying to do the work and get it together.’

Paul announced the happy news on his website, saying that baby Nova was born on Saturday evening after a ‘long and beautiful labour’ at home.

‘The Weller family are proud to announce the birth of baby Nova, who was born at home on Saturday evening,’ the statement read.

‘She was caught by her daddy after a long and beautiful unassisted labour. Hannah and Nova are doing really well and everyone is enjoying getting to know little Miss Weller.’

Paul and Hannah, who were married on the Italian island of Capri in 2010, are already parents to twins John Paul and Bowie – named after Paul’s musical heroes – who were born in January 2012.

Paul is also a dad to son Nathaniel, from his relationship with former Style Council backing singer Dee C Lee.

He also has two children – 16-year-old Jesamine and 12-year-old Stevie Mac – with ex-partner Samantha Stock, as well as 21-year-old daughter Dylan from a relationship with a make-up artist.

Season 13 of America’s Got Talent comes to a close this week as 10 acts battle it out to be crowned the winner.

There is a wide range of performers on display from a trapeze duo to an electric violinist, with the UK also represented by teenage singer Courtney Hadwin.

The winner gets a $1,000,000 prize, although they will reportedly have to wait an awful long time for it.

Here is everything you need to know about when the final of America’s Got Talent is and who is involved.

When is the America’s Got Talent final?

The Live Show Finals, which see the top 10 acts perform one last time, are on Tuesday, 18 September at 8pm in Los Angeles (1am BST on Wednesday morning).

Then the Live Results Finale is the following day on Wednesday, 19 September at 8pm (1am BST on Thursday morning).

How to watch the final in the UK?

Netflix has been showing all the America’s Got Talent action this year, airing new episodes at 8am on Thursday mornings.

Who are the finalists?

Courtney Hadwin

Howie said Courtney reminded him of Janis Joplin (Picture: Scott Kirkland/REX)

English singer Courtney is only 14 years old, and was Howie Mandel’s golden buzzer.

Some fans have been arguing online that she’s being ‘pushed’ more by the media.

Regardless, after her Born To Be Wild cover, Mandel said, ‘I smell a million dollars.’

Shin Lim

Magician Shin Lim has wowed the judges with his card tricks, using smoke to bamboozle them.

He’ll be performing as part of The Illusionists soon, so let’s see how he does in the finals.

Michael Ketterer

Heidi was ‘blown away’ by Michael (Picture: Backgrid)

Simon’s choice Michael Ketterer reduced the normally steely judge to tears with his rendition of James Bay’s US.

The father of six children (five of which are adopted) responded, ‘There are moments that shape you and tonight was one of those moments. Beyond the stage, the nerves and lights, there was a grace that I felt that enabled me to sing from a real place and relay my story. I’m thankful for all the support! Especially from Simon Cowell.’

Zurcaroh

The group don’t shy away from risky performances (Picture: Trae Patton/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images)

This aerial dance group were Tyra’s golden buzer.

Coming from Austria, they’ve become a firm favourite in the US, and may well be the first dance troupe to win AGT.

Duo Transcend

This husband and wife trapeze act had viewers on tenterhooks when Tyce Nielsen dropped his wife earlier on in the series.

They managed to pull through, however, and have stunned with their risky tricks ever since.

Samuel J. Comroe

Samuel is a fan favourite (Picture: Justin Lubin/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images)

Comedian Samuel suffers from Tourette’s Syndrome, but makes it part of his act to get the nation laughing.

He nearly went home in the semi finals, but ended up getting the Dunkin’ Save from the public.

Daniel Emmet

What will Daniel perform next? (Picture: Trae Patton/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images)

After nearly going home in the semis, Daniel was saved by judges.

He later went on to do a Spanish opera version of Aerosmith’s Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, proving himself as an innovative performer.

Brian King Joseph

Simon predicted that electric violinist Brian would win the whole thing after his semi final performance.

Can he top his incredible renditions of Gangsta’s Paradise and Centuries? We’ll see.

Glennis Grace

Glennis absolutely bossed Whitney Houston (Picture: Trae Patton/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images)

Glennis has proven again and again that her voice can match any song.

Simon said her semis performance was the best of them all, so it’s very possibly she might win the whole thing.

Vicki Barbolak

She’s trailer but she certainly isn’t trash (Picture: Trae Patton/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images)

Hilarious Vicki’s brand of comedy is Trailer Park Nasty, and she’s covered a number of topics that left the judges in fits of giggles.

Whether she wins or not, it’s certain we’ll be seeing more of her.

Viewers of last night’s Emmy Awards could hardly believe their eyes when they saw a very familiar face make her way down the prestigious red carpet.

Konnie Huq stole the show for many, as she accompanied her Black Mirror-creator husband Charlie Brooker into the ceremony and we’re not yet recovered.

Konnie is best known by many for being the longest-serving presenter to have graced Blue Peter, with the stalwart appearing on the show from December 1997 and January 2008.

And she got a special shout out last night, too, rightfully so, when Charlie, her husband of eight years, won for Black Mirror.

Charlie and his colleague William Bridges accepted the gong for Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series or Movie, or Dramatic Special, as Charlie took the mic and said: ‘My wife, I have to thank my wife Konnie down there.’

The couple tied the knot in 2010 at the famous Las Vegas Little White Wedding Chapel after dating for nine months, and now have two children, Covey and Huxley.

Fans were shaken and stirred as they spotted Konnie in the audience, mingling with the Hollywood elite like the boss she is.

Black Mirror scooped two awards for the same episode, USS Callister.

Game Of Thrones had a triumphant Emmys night, as well, winning nine awards as the final series approaches.

After GOT, the next biggest winner on the night was US TV show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, about a 1950 housewife who turns to stand-up comedy, with the series winning one less gong than the HBO series.

British actress Claire Foy won the best actress category for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix series The Crown, but her co-star Matt Smith, who plays Prince Philip, lost out to GOT star Peter Dinklage in the best actor category.

Tiffany Haddish slams ‘rude’ Emmys reporters as she takes to press room following win

Don’t mess with Tiffany Haddish, she’ll come for you.

The Emmy winner was enjoying her recent statuette nod as she took to the press room at the Emmy Awards overnight – and it brought about one of the sassiest moments of the night.

Met with a room of working journalists too busy looking at their computers than concentrating on her, she just had to say something for this display displeased our queen so.

‘Also I just wanted to say y’all are being rude right now,’ she said, to the room of reporters. ‘I know that you’ve got to be typing and working right now and that’s why you’re not looking up, but if we were at a comedy show right now I would be cussing all of y’all out.’

Her reaction mirrored Jennifer Lawrence’s comment when she was speaking on her Golden Globe win back in 2016.

Chatting with reporters in the buzzing press room then, she was distracted mid-question by a reporter who was apparently more engaged in his tech.

‘You can’t live your whole life behind your phone, bro,’ she said, waving her finger. ‘You can’t do that. You gotta live in the now.’

All hope was lost for the lad, who apologised and asked his question again, but was met with some standard J Law sass.

‘How do you see yourself for the Oscar night and how was working with Edgar Ramirez?’ the reporter enquired once more.

Jennifer responded: ‘We’re at the Golden Globes. If you put your phone down, you’d know that.’

JLaw dished the sass (Picture: Giphy)

Ouch.

Tiffany took home her own Emmy at the first instalment of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards earlier this month, after coming out on top for her Saturday Night Live hosting gig.

The Girls Trip star landed the gong for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for hosting Saturday Night Live, beating SNL alumni Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph and Tina Fey.

Side note: Tiff was also the first black female stand-up comic to take the helm in the show’s history. So there’s that.

This week doesn’t include a huge update but players can try out a new item called the Port-A-Fortress.

Fortntie will also have a new Soaring Solos game mode as well as the return of the Playground LTM.

Here is everything you need to know about this week’s update.

(Epic Games)

What is in this week’s update?

One of the main additions this week is the Port-A-Fortress item that will be available in Battle Royale.

The item has legendary rarity and can be found in vending machines, chests, supply drops, and supply llamas.

It is very similar to the Port-A-Fort but is bigger and includes bouncers on the sides to enable players to jump off from the top of it without taking damage.

The update also sees the addition of Soaring Solos following the popularity of Soaring 50’s which allowed players to use their gliders whenever they jump from large heights.

This time players can enjoy the future while playing on their own which will add a new dynamic to the basic game.

Playground LTM also returns but with the addition of Spiky Stadium which is a new item that will only be available to players in Playground.

Players can throw it to create 7×11 sized stadium that will be full of traps and bouncers, Epic Games wants to see how creative players can be with the new item.

Fortnite – are you still playing?

When does Fortnite season 5 end?

Fortnite season 5 is currently set to end on Tuesday 25 September.

Players can track how long is left by going to the Battle Pass tab when logged into the game, above the list of unlockable items there is a countdown that shows the time until season 5 ends.

When does Fortnite season 6 start?

The new season of Fortnite is likely to start shortly after season 5 ends, usually the following day.

This means that players can expect to see the Fortnite get its next big update on Wednesday 26 September, although this could vary if season 5 gets extended by a day or two.

Season 6 is set to include a brand new Battle Pass with plenty of new cosmetic items for players to unlock.

Map changes and new items are also a big possibility for the launch of season 6, but upcoming themes and gameplay changes aren’t yet known but Epic Games is likely to drop hints over the next couple of weeks.

Sex podcast accused of fetishising black men after saying date ‘didn’t act black enough’

An ‘anti slut-shaming podcast’ has been accused of fetishing black men after an old episode resurfaced online.

The Guys We Fucked podcast, starring comedy duo Corinne Fisher and Krystyna Hutchinson of Sorry About Last Night, has been running since December 2013 and has reached its 250th episode.

However, an episode from 2014 has been re-shared online due to content some are accusing of being racist.

Sex and relationships blogger Dami Olonisakin, aka Oloni, tweeted a clip of the May 2014 episode Do Guys Show Each Other Their Dicks?, which began with the girls talking about their weekend.

A voice believed to be Krystyna said: ‘I had sex with two dudes… and one was a black guy.’

Corinne said: ‘Score!’, with her friend replying: ‘It was my second black guy, though, everyone was like “is this your first black guy” and I’m like, “excuse me, I’ve been fucking black guys since the early 2000s…”

‘This was like, a real black guy, like, basketball player height, stature, lives uptown.’

Corinne said: ‘He looks pretty black. He’s very handsome.’

Krystyna then said: ‘He doesn’t act black enough, though’, with Corinne asking: ‘What do you mean? Like, talk black?’

She explained: ‘No, I mean just act like… more like… I thug… I don’t like black people who act like white people, which I know we’re going to get a bunch of letters like, what do black people act like? Guys, we all fucking know when we say stereotypically, what black people act like, and that’s what I like.’

Corinne then spoke about another guy, saying: ‘He’s got that hood swag, I love it.’

Oloni tweeted: ‘Really dissapointed with a sex podcast. I respected their work & even bought their book till they started fetishising black men.

‘Dear white women, black men are not sexual objects you can tick off your bucket list for your own sexual gratification. This drag will be postponed.

‘This is wrong on so many levels. @KrystynaHutch @SryAboutLastNyt. You both literally just fetishised black men. It was extremely uncomfortable to listen to, please do better.’

Others, whose attention was brought to the clip by Oloni, chimed in, with one person tweeting: ‘Everything said in this clip makes me feel sick. Fetishization is still a form of racism.’

Another comment read: ‘How did they even think this was acceptable to put out in public???’

Guys We Fucked hears Krystyna and Corinne interview men they have slept with, as well as interviewing stars including Amber Rose and Stoya about sex and relationships. It has over one million listeners and regularly charts in the iTunes top ten for comedy podcasts.

The comedians also have a book called F*CKED: Being Sexually Explorative and Self-Confident in a World That’s Screwed.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Fisher and Hutchinson’s reps for comment.

Claire Foy age, husband, children and full Emmys 2018 acceptance speech for The Crown

Claire Foy was one of the 2018 Emmys’ biggest winners, taking home the coveted gong for Lead Actress for a drama series.

Foy won her accolade for Netflix series The Crown, which she starred in as Queen Elizabeth II for two years.

Born 16 April 1984 in Stockport, Manchester, Claire began her small screen work in 2008 at the age of 24 when she was cast in the Being Human pilot.

Ten years later, Claire’s estimated net worth is £3million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

While The Crown is her highest profile role to date, she’s starred in a number of other TV series and films.

TV shows include Little Dorrit, Upstairs Downstairs, Crossbones, The Promise and, just before The Crown, Wolf Hall.

Films include Rosewater, Vampire Academy, Season Of The Witch and The Lady In The Van.

Claire was married to husband Stephen Campbell-Moore until earlier this year when they announced they had decided to split.

Claire and Stephen ‘continue as great friends’ (Picture: WireImage)

In a statement, the pair confirmed the news in February, writing: ‘We have separated and have been for some time. We do however continue as great friends with the utmost respect for one another.’

The pair wed in 2014 and have a three-year-old daughter, Ivy Rose.

The news of their divorce came weeks after Stephen, 40, revealed that while Claire, 34, was filming the second season of The Crown, he was battling a devastating brain tumour diagnosis.

Stephen, also an actor, was diagnosed with the benign tumour on his pituitary gland, at the base of the brain, at the end of 2016 when Claire was filming the second season with Matt Smith, and underwent surgery.

The pair (left and centre) met on the set of Season Of The Witch (Picture: Wireimage)

Of the split, a close friend told The Sun: ‘After seven years together this came as a real shock to many of their friends, but they’re lovely people and are determined to keep everything civilised.

‘They’ve just decided that unfortunately their relationship simply wasn’t working and that this would be for the best.’

On Monday night in Los Angeles, Claire was crowned the Lead Actress In A Drama Series at the 2018 Emmys.

Foy attracted headline in March when it emerged that she had been paid less than her the Crown co-star Matt Smith.

Matt Smith said at the time that he backed his ‘best mate’ over the scandal surrounding the show, and while Claire said she found it all ‘embarrassing’, she insisted there was a silver lining to the situation.

‘It definitely opened my eyes to a lot. And I certainly won’t be naïve about those things,’ Foy said, according to The Telegraph.

FILE - In this Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 file photo, actress Claire Foy poses for photographers on arrival at the premiere of series 'The Crown, Season 2' in central London. A producer of hit royal drama "The Crown" says Claire Foy, who played the central role of Queen Elizabeth II, was paid less than her on-screen husband. Trade publication Variety on Tuesday March 13, 2018 quoted producer Suzanne Mackie as confirming Foy was paid less than Matt Smith, who played Prince Philip in two seasons of the series. (Photo by Grant Pollard/Invision/AP, File)
Claire is being replaced for the next season of The Crown as The Queen ages in the series (Picture: AP)

The 34-year-old actor added: ‘It’s really opened my eyes about what I am allowed to have an opinion about, and what I’m allowed to stand up for myself about.’

‘And I think that’s really changed my approach to myself and other women in this industry. It’s been only a positive thing – even though, embarrassing,’ she said frankly.

After Claire’s salary was made public – the Unsane star was reportedly paid $40,000 (£29,000) per episode for the first two series – the producers of The Crown issued an apology to both her and her male co-star over the pay disparity.

However, she confirmed she never saw the £200,000 pay check, which she was reportedly going to receive after it was revealed that she was paid significantly less than her male co-star.

‘That was what was reported that I was back-paid. I’ve never mentioned anything about it and neither have the producers. The fact that that is ‘fact’ is not quite correct,’ Foy told Al Arabiya.

‘Yes it’s Netflix, but it’s a British production company.

‘It happened at the same time as it was coming out with a lot of other people that there was a lot of pay inequality across the board—in the music industry, in journalism, in every industry.

‘It’s across the board that it became part of a bigger conversation, which is an odd place to find yourself in.’

Foy may not see a penny of the £200,000 reported, but she has admitted the experience was a learning curve.

The Crown will look a little different when it returns (Picture: Netflix)

‘I realised early on that me being quiet about it or me not thinking about it in any way, and not associating myself with it, would be harmful to me and also lots of other people,’ she added.

‘It’s taught me a lot, and I’m still learning about it. I have not come out the other side and know exactly what I’m talking about. I’m still learning as much as anybody else is.’

For the third series of The Crown, Foy and Smith have been recast in their roles as Queen Elizabeth II and her rebellious husband Philip by actual goddess, Olivia Colman, and Outlander star, Tobias Menzies respectively.

The Crown unveiled a first look at Colman as Lizzie, as well as a first look at Helena Bonham Carter, who replaces Vanessa Kirby, as her sister Princess Margaret.

Here’s what we know so far about the new series…

What will happen in The Crown season three?

Olivia Colman is taking over as Queen Elizabeth (Picture: FilmMagic)

While the first two seasons of the show covered Queen Elizabeth II’s life from 1947-1963 including the early years of her reign, the third and fourth series will bring the action into more modern times as it covers the time period from 1964-1976.

And series three is set to go up as far as 1970 – meaning it will cover some major events in the Queen’s reign from Prince Charles moving more into the public eye, through to her relationship with then Prime Minister Harold Wilson.

Filming is due to begin on the series this month.

Who is new to the cast?

Tobias Menzies is taking over as Prince Philip (Picture: FilmMagic)

Olivia Colman has joined as the older incarnation of the Queen – and previously confessed nerves at taking over from Claire Foy, who played the role in the first two series.

She told The Sun: ‘I’m really nervous to take over something that’s been so great – it’s scary.

‘They’re giving me a great voice coach who will make sure I speak like the Queen. So I’ll just learn the lines and try to copy exactly what they do.’

Olivia will be joined by actor Tobias Menzies – aka Game Of Thrones’ Edmure Tully – who will take over from Matt Smith as Prince Philip.

News of his casting was revealed by Netflix back in March, with Tobias adding he had ‘never been more happy my entire life’ to be playing the role.

Other cast newcomers will include Helena Bonham Carter, who is playing Princess Margaret, and Jason Watkins, who’ll be appearing as Prime Minister Harold Wilson – while Call The Midwife’s Erin Doherty will play Princess Anne.

Helena reacted to the news via a photo of herself and actress Vanessa Kirby – who played Margaret in previous series – saying she was ‘honoured’ to be stepping into her shoes.

Will Princess Diana feature in this series?

Diana won’t be a feature of the next series, as it’s still set several years before she joined the royals, but she will feature in later seasons as the action moves forward into the 80s and 90s.

‘Diana’s not in this season,’ casting director Nina Gold explained, ‘but when we do get to her it’s going to be pretty interesting.’

Camilla Parker Bowles, however, will feature in the next series – although casting has yet to be revealed on that front.

When is the series released on Netflix?

There’s no confirmed release date for it yet, but as filming is only due to begin this month it could be a while before we get to see it – maybe even 2019.

Claire Foy rocks the internet by wearing odd shoes to the Emmys

The Crown’s Claire Foy looked like she’d had a bit of a fashion mishap on the Emmys red carpet.

We’ve all been there, sort of, rushing out the house to get somewhere and you get half way down the road only to realise you’ve made the ultimate faux pas and put on odd socks.

Claire Foy went one better, arriving at the Emmys in odd shoes.

But no, she’s the Queen, she wears exactly what she wants and they’re of course not actually odd, they’re what fashionistas would call ‘asymmetric’. It also cost her around £1,025 for the privilege of mismatching shoes.

Yaaas Queen, she knows how to do things.

Naturally her Calvin Klein footwear did not go unnoticed as fans questioned whether she’d deliberately walked the red carpet with her feet looking like they belonged to different people.

They of course were fully intentional, and come from Calvin Klein’s 205W39NYC collection, along with her dress, which is a ‘Calvin Klein By Appointment optic white double faced silk satin dress.’

The actress had a great night of it at the 70th Emmy awards, walking away with the gong for best lead actress in a drama series for her role as the Queen in Netflix’s The Crown.

The 34-year-old dedicated her award to her co-star Matt Smith, as well as the future stars of the show.

‘I had the most extraordinary two and a half years of my life,’ Claire said on stage. ‘So I dedicate this to the next cast, the next generation.’

‘This wasn’t supposed to happen,’ she told the audience. ‘I just felt so proud then of being in the company of such extraordinary performances.

‘And I know everyone is talking at the moment about women in the industry, but if that’s anything to go by, bloody hell.’

Ryan Thomas confirms he still hasn’t received Roxanne Pallett’s handwritten letter of apology

Ryan Thomas has confirmed he still hasn’t received a handwritten letter of apology from Roxanne Pallett, which was supposed to be given to him following Celebrity Big Brother.

The former Coronation Street actor appeared on This Morning with girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh, where they discussed the famed ‘punch gate’ where Roxanne accused Ryan of assault – which she later retracted.

It was recently reported Roxanne wrote a handwritten letter to apologise over the incident to Ryan, which was yet to be given to him.

Ryan was quizzed about the incident on This Morning (Picture: ITV)

Asked by hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about the letter, Ryan said: ‘I’ve heard this. I haven’t received one.’

Elsewhere, Ryan also opened up about how much hearing the public chants of ‘get Roxy out’ midway through the show meant to him.

Ryan said: ‘You’re not supposed to hear what happens on the outside but that sort of clarification for me was massive. You’ll see me crying again because it was a relief of the public giving me something I needed right then.

‘I questioned myself. I even questioned, “Did I hurt this woman?” It was so nothing to me, and maybe I caught her with my ring or on her arm, I was even questioning what happened because everyone was making such a thing out of it.’

Lucy stated how she believed Big Brother was wrong to issue Ryan a warning over the incident.

‘It was horrible,’ Lucy said. ‘I got in my car a few times because I wanted to drag him out. It was tough. The hardest point for me was knowing the support he had, that he didn’t know. It was so frustrating.

‘And watching him cry, I don’t think I was the only one, but we were all crying.’

She added: ‘I think they should have revoked the warning and I don’t think he should have had one in the first place. For me, it was showing the footage. I really just hoped they did, if there wasn’t a chance, when were they going to tell Ryan?

‘It’s a reality TV show they have to let things naturally unravel, but I felt like it was a little bit too long.’

You can catch This Morning weekdays on ITV at 10.30am.

Doctor Who returns in just a few weeks (Picture: BBC)

The historic 11th season of Doctor Who is now less than three weeks away from airing, when the world will get their first airing of Jodie Whittaker in the iconic lead role.

It has been a long wait to see Whittaker take up her role as the first female Doctor as she was announced way back last summer, after the Wimbledon men’s final.

But the waiting game is nearly at an end and it looks like we are in for plenty of surprises from the new star of the show, down to every last detail of her new outfit.

Here is everything you need to know about the return of Doctor Who…

When does Doctor Who season 11 start?

The latest season of Doctor Who starts on Sunday, 7 October.

How many episodes are there in the new series?

Unlike previous series, this one’s going to run a little shorter – with just 10 episodes instead of 12, and the first episode entitled The Woman Who Fell To Earth.

Although there will, of course, be the Christmas Special on top of that.

We also know that the first two episodes are entitled, ‘The Woman Who Fell to Earth’ and ‘The Ghost Monument’.

It might well feel a little different too – as aside from the first female Doctor, Steven Moffatt has also departed to make way for Chris Chibnall (best known for Broadchurch which of course starred Whittaker).

Who is joining Jodie in the cast?

The new Time Lord will nab herself a trio of companions as Mandip Gill, Tosin Cole and Bradley Walsh join the cast.

Mandip will play Yasmin, Tosin will appear as Ryan and Bradley is playing a character called Graham in the series – and we got our first look at them all in the trailer.

Moffat previously spoke about the expanding cast, saying: ‘I think they’re going to have a much bigger range of companions, I reallydon’t know much about what they’re doing but it looks like they’re going to do that and, I think it works.’

Other newcomers to the series include actress Sharon D Clarke in a recurring role, while Alan Cumming and Lee Mack are also set to appear – but it looks as if we’ve seen the last of Matt Lucas as Nardole and Michelle Gomez as Missy – as well as Pearl Mackie as Bill, although she has said ‘never say never!’ in response to a possible return.
