Avert the eyes, fellas (Picture: BACKGRID)

It’s the second time this week Kim Kardashian has worn a leopard-print catsuit, which shows she’s evidently loving dressing like a feline.

And only Kim can pull such a daring outfit off, we have to say.

The reality star and mogul earlier this week wore a similarly-designed bodysuit, however this time around she took it to the next level by rocking a proper sheer number in Paris.

Even though it was evidently freezing in the capital on Wednesday night, 38-year-old Kim wasn’t fazed as she sported the unitard that would hardly guard against the wintry mistress that is the French chill.

Because she’s a lady, the Alaïa design did come with some handy leather modesty panels that kept her unmentionables free from the public gaze.

The perspex shoes really added that little bit extra (Picture: MEGA)

We have so many questions, though. Like, how annoying would it be to go to the bathroom? Jumpsuits are bad enough, but skin-tight sheer bodysuits? Tell ‘er she’s dreamin’!

And surely she’s finding it horrendously difficult to get about in those perspex shoes? Stocking to plastic just seems like a slip hazard.

The mother-of-three still rugged up because she’s not a monster, as she wrapped a black, velvet coat around said sheer bodysuit as she left The Ritz hotel.

Basically, she was wearing a fancy full-body stocking, let’s be honest here.

She’s one to stick to her guns, though, after premiering Maison Alaïa catsuit numero uno during Paris Fashion Week.

An a whatta???

A post shared by Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian) on

Posing in a variety of rooms that also showed off the old school glam of her current hotel (we can only dream), she captioned her Instagram shoot: ‘An a whatta???’

Seems she was keen to follow up her first Clueless caption, after she gave us all the lols by quoting the 90s teen movie earlier this week writing: ‘You don’t understand…this is an Alaia.’

Oh we understand, Kim. And we love it.

The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik slammed for ‘critiquing’ fan artwork

The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik has come under fire for her comments on a fan’s artwork.

Inspired fan Sarah Ellen decided to paint the 43-year-old actress in just 30-minutes as part of a challenge and shared her work on Facebook, explaining: ‘I love a good 30 day challenge… 30 minutes each. Day 1. Mayim Bialik… a personal hero to me, being a mental health advocate and overall great human being.’

However, Mayim appeared to be heavily critical of how the portrait turned out and addressed her Instagram followers, saying: ‘I think [confused emoji] a portrait of me needs more than 30 minutes.

‘Still flattering. [crying laughing emoji] I think. What’s with my teeth, Sarah Ellen!?’

Fans were unimpressed by Mayim’s remarks and didn’t hold back their thoughts in her comments, slamming: ‘I think for an amateur and 30 minutes, she did a great job! I wish someone admired me enough to paint my portrait, especially first. I understand critiquing art, but that is NOT how you give constructive criticism.

‘I really hope that you were being self- deprecating and not making fun of the artist. I would hate to think you were being malicious. I have a lot of respect and admiration and would feel disappointed for those comments.’

Echoing the same sentiment, another wrote: ‘Your comments about this artist’s painting of you is just terrible’ and ‘Mocking people that look up to you isn’t a cute look on you.’

After receiving backlash, Mayim later clarified her caption in an edit and said: ‘I love this painting. Sarah Ellen is a friend of a friend, my friend sent it to me and I thought it was wonderful.

‘It made me laugh in a good way. I’m flattered by the nice things she said, and that she would choose me as a subject!’

Mayim added: ‘I think I’m tough to capture, and that’s what I meant by that. It’s me, not you. Thank you, Sarah Ellen, and keep up the great work.’

See, The Big Bang Theory cast are still the best ever.

The Big Bang Theory continues Thursdays on CBS in the US.

We’ve got news, and you’ll be singing Rain On My Parade for the rest of the day because if it.

Barbra Streisand has been announced as the latest headliner for British Summer Time at Hyde Park, and we are losing our minds.

In a European exclusive, the legendary songstress will be playing Hyde Park on Sunday, 7 July, with special guests yet to be confirmed.

The 76-year-old joins a stellar BST line-up, with fellow legend Celine Dion, Florence + The Machine and Robbie Williams already announced for shows in July.

Fans can expect to hear classic songs including The Way We Were, Woman In Love, Memory and No More Tears at the summer gig, with more than a few showtunes sprinkled into the set list, we hope.

James King, Senior Vice President of AEG Presents, said: ‘Barbra Streisand is without question one of the most influential and decorated artists in history. She is a global icon and a pioneer across the entire entertainment industry. It is an honour to have an artist of her stature performing at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.’

Let’s hope superfan Richard E Grant gets a ticket. And also invited on stage for a duet.

Celine Dion will be playing with special guests on 5 July, while the following weekend on 13 July, Florence + The Machine will be joined by The National, Lykke Li and more.

Robbie Williams will play 14 July, with support acts yet to be announced.

Tickets are on sale at 9am on 14 March, while presale begins tomorrow at 9am. Prices start at £69.95.

Game of Thrones season 8 filming disrupted by helicopter during ‘ridiculously sensitive’ scene and we haven’t come this far for leaks

Game of Thrones’ final season is coming and it’s going to be the most ambitious moment on television yet – which may have been scuppered thanks to a rogue helicopter.

After the Game of Thrones trailer dropped this week, fans have reached peak excitement and still have got another month to sweat it all out – because you know it’s going to be six feature length episodes of mounting body counts, which even after a two year break we’re not quite ready for.

HBO have promised scenes more spectacular than Lord of the Rings, but look closely and you may be able to see an aircraft avoiding two dragons while soaring over Westeros.

Entertainment Weekly were fortunate enough to visit the Game of Thrones set and claimed a Police Service of Northern Ireland helicopter flew over ‘a ridiculously sensitive scene’.

‘The great battle is over, the snowy ground is streaked with blood, beloved heroes lay dead outside the castle gates,’ they wrote.

‘Winterfell is quiet. And then… a sudden roar from above. A gust of wind. A blur of low-flying movement.‘A dragon? No. An ice dragon? Worse.’

The publication continued: ‘The helicopter seemingly came out of nowhere and flew directly over a ridiculously sensitive scene from the show’s final season.’

While we all try and digest the certainty that ‘beloved heroes’ will perish in the great battle against The Night King, the PSNI are disputing that their helicopter had anything to do with the disruption, which can only leave bosses in panic – who could it have been?

We haven’t come this far for leaks!

Following the first official trailer this week, expectations are soaring – as are fears for Arya Stark (played by Maisie Williams), who was seen running for her life and Metro.co.uk may have worked out who or what she was escaping from.

We’ve also picked apart every single detail on offer: from the addition of Harry Strickland to which characters are ominously missing…

Game of Thrones returns to HBO and Sky Atlantic on April 14.

Vikings star Alexander Ludwig appears to have well and truly left Bjorn behind and it sounds like there’s been no viking mead in Alexander’s life in recent months.

The actor has been on a clean eating diet for the upcoming Will Smith film, Bad Boys For Life, and shared a shirtless picture with fans to show off the results.

‘Two months of eating clean and training regularly to get ready for #badboysforlife was able to put on 25lbs (not of fat…which was a first) thank you @jorgen.de.mey for your guidance and special shoutout to @therock who helped me along the way,’ Alexander shared with fans.

‘Also @jerrybruckheimer for making it happen. It’s been an unreal shoot so far…finishing up strong.’

Alexander recently celebrated Valentine’s Day with an epic fandom crossover, spending the day with his girlfriend and co-star Kristy Dawn Dinsmore, High School Musical actress Vanessa Hudgens and her boyfriend Austin Butler, and Riverdale stars Charles Melton and Camila Mendes.

Canadian actor Alexander, who plays Bjorn Lothbrok in Vikings, looked fancy in his suited get-up, as he sported a pair of blue shades and toted a fancy fan.

Alexander, Vanessa and Charles are all starring in Bad Boys For Life, with the threesome playing the part of a highly specialised police unit set to come face to face with the OG bad boys, played by Will and Martin Lawrence.

Nintendo VR headset announced and… it’s a Labo one made of cardboard

The Nintendo Switch has a very unique VR experience
The Nintendo Switch has a very unique VR experience

The Switch is getting its own VR headset, but it’s part of the Nintendo Labo range and has some very strange-looking attachments.

Few people really believed the rumours that Nintendo were working on a VR headset, because the Switch isn’t powerful to compete with an experience like PlayStation VR, but what they’ve actually announced suddenly makes complete sense.

Cardboard VR goggles have been quite common when it comes to smartphones, especially with Google, and the Labo one works in a similar way – except with some very Nintendo twists.

Nintendo Labo: VR Kit is coming out as early as 12 April and is compatible with six new Toy-Cons – the name Nintendo gives to the cardboard creations that work by slotting the Joy-Con controllers into them.

One of these six is a pair of VR goggles which can be used in conjunction with the other five to create a range of experiences and play the included games (which can be played without VR if you really want to).

The Elephant Toy-Con looks so Nintendo
The Elephant Toy-Con looks so Nintendo

The Switch is inserted into the goggles and you hold it up to your eyes manually, with no head-strap included.

Nintendo has publicly stated it’s interested in VR before but its concern has always been that it’s a very anti-social experience. So the idea of not having a head-strap is that you can pass it around a group of people as you play.

The Starter Kit includes the goggles themselves and a ‘Blaster’ attachment that looks like a giant bazooka and plays a shooting game.

Then there are two expansion kits that contain two extra Toy-Cons but not the VR goggles themselves.

The Super Scope returns
The Super Scope returns

The first includes a camera Toy-Con and one that looks like an elephant mask, while the second has a bird and a ‘wind pedal’.

Or you can buy everything in one, which is presumably more expensive. There are no UK prices for any of this yet but the most expensive Labo set so far has been £69.99 and judging by the need to separate the main one out into different expansions we imagine the all-in-one kit will be more than that.

Whether any of this will be used for traditional games is unclear, but there was a Mario Kart 8 patch to use the handlebar Toy-Con, so you never know. Especially not with Nintendo…

The Walking Dead’s Chandler Riggs signs to Steve Aoki label and drops new single Endeavour

Who knew Carl Grimes was such a talented music producer? (Picture: FilmMagic)

Who knew Carl Grimes had such an eclectic taste in music? The Walking Dead actor Chandler Riggs is signed to Steve Aoki’s record label and has just released a new song that might surprise fans.

Chandler, 19, bowed out of The Walking Dead in 2018 after eight seasons and has apparently focused on recording his own music,

Under the stage name Eclipse, Chandler is signed to Aoki’s Dim Mak Records and has dropped a new song, Endeavor, under the label’s New Noise imprint.

And no, it’s not a teeny-bopper of One Direction ilk, but rather an atmospheric electronic dance number, ‘coated in ethereal soundscapes’.

Sounds like a dream.

If you’re a true fan of Chandler, then his foray into music shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as the teen has DJ’ed at various events over the past couple of years, including the huge EDC festival in Las Vegas.

Rock on.

Opening up about his passion for music, Chandler told KTLA 5 last year: ‘I’m actually producing music kind of on the side, and I’m starting to play some shows and things like that.

‘I’m doing that and acting, it’s quite a lot to juggle but it’s a lot of fun.’

He added: ‘I produce electronic kind of music, like EDM kind of stuff. Acting is awesome, but I’m really, really able to express myself creatively in music.’

While Chandler is no longer a member of TWD family, the actor has one big regret about his character Carl.

The TV star admits he wishes the show explored Carl’s involvement with The Whisperers like the comic books have.

Speaking at Walker Stalker Cruise 2019, Chandler said: ‘I was looking forward to a lot of the storylines, specifically with Lydia because it was just such a unique storyline for Carl and it meant so much to the storyline.’

Montana Brown has called for Love Island producers to cast more diverse body types on the next series.

The 23-year-old, who became a household name after taking part in season three of the ITV2 dating show, spoke out about the lack of diversity on our screens, during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.

While taking part in a discussion on whether Barbie Dolls are an ‘unrealistic portrayal of women’, host Susanna Reid told her: ‘A lot of people thought that about Love Island.

Montana Brown argued the lack of diversity ‘wasn’t her fault’ (Picture: PA)

‘Actually young girls watching Love Island realistically only saw one type of body looking fabulous in a bikini.’

To which she replied: ‘I would completely agree with that. We should definitely be seeing more of a body diversity on Love Island.’

But, when Ben Shepherd asked if she was ‘compounding the problem’ by taking part in the show, and could have made more of a statement by refusing her place, she hit back: ‘Is that my fault they didn’t cast a broad range of women? Probably not.

‘You don’t know who else is being cast or going on the programme.’

Montana isn’t the only Love Island alum to call for a more diverse cast, with Dr Alex George and Alexandra Cane previously speaking out.

Love Island has come under fire over the lack of body diversity (Picture: ITV)
However, it doesn’t look like changes are on the horizon anytime soon, as ITV2 controller Paul Mortimer defended the show for only casting ‘sexy people’.

‘We’re a sexy channel. We cast sexy people,’ he explained, during an appearance at the Edinburgh TV Festival last summer.

‘I think on the body image thing, we cast very attractive people. It’s a sexy show, it is entertainment on ITV2 and in the same way Hollywood casts a certain type to get bums on seats in theatres or other shows, the ‘Strictly’ dancers or whatever…

‘Also, for us, it’s a very aspirational programme for our audience. It’s the perfect holiday they can only aspire towards, it comes along at a time when people are readying for holiday, a week in Magaluf or whatever, and we’re showing them the best example of what they could have.

‘We cast sexy people, we’re a sexy channel and those people by the way, they work quite hard, there’s a gym, we show people working out,’ he continued. ‘There’s also another conversation going on about childhood obesity. If you want to look like the guys on Love Island you have to work out.

‘We make no excuses that people more beautiful than us are entitled to go into a villa for eight weeks and find love.’

Good to know…

Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays, at 6am, on ITV.

Michael Jackson documentary Leaving Neverland could be getting a sequel

The director of controversial Michael Jackson documentary Leaving Neverland wants to make a sequel.

The four hour film based on claims made by Wade Robson and James Safechuck aired its first part on Channel 4 on Wednesday night, with viewers not knowing what to make of it, and now Dan Reed has announced he’d be interested in putting together a follow-up if accusers Jordan Chandler and Gavin Arvizo agreed to speak.

‘What’s interesting is to look at the Jordan Chandler civil case and criminal trial,’ Dan told The Mirror.

Jordan received a $23million (£17,480,575) payout from Michael back in 1994 in a settlement, while Gavin’s allegations resulted in the King of Pop’s 2005 court cast where he was found not guilty of child molestation charges.

Michael Jackson estate's statement on Leaving Neverland

'Leaving Neverland isn’t a documentary, it is the kind of tabloid character assassination Michael Jackson endured in life, and now in death. The film takes uncorroborated allegations that supposedly happened 20 years ago and treats them as fact. These claims were the basis of lawsuits filed by these two admitted liars which were ultimately dismissed by a judge. The two accusers testified under oath that these events never occurred. They have provided no independent evidence and absolutely no proof in support of their accusations, which means the entire film hinges solely on the word of two perjurers.

'Tellingly, the director admitted at the Sundance Film Festival that he limited his interviews only to these accusers and their families. In doing so, he intentionally avoided interviewing numerous people over the years who spent significant time with Michael Jackson and have unambiguously stated that he treated children with respect and did nothing hurtful to them. By choosing not to include any of these independent voices who might challenge the narrative that he was determined to sell, the director neglected fact checking so he could craft a narrative so blatantly one-sided that viewers never get anything close to a balanced portrait.

'For 20 years, Wade Robson denied in court and in numerous interviews, including after Michael passed, that he was a victim and stated he was grateful for everything Michael had done for him. His family benefitted from Michael’s kindness, generosity and career support up until Michael’s death. Conveniently left out of Leaving Neverland was the fact that when Robson was denied a role in a Michael Jackson themed Cirque du Soleil production, his assault allegations suddenly emerged.

'We are extremely sympathetic to any legitimate victim of child abuse. This film, however, does those victims a disservice.  Because despite all the disingenuous denials made that this is not about money, it has always been about money – millions of dollars — dating back to 2013 when both Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who share the same law firm, launched their unsuccessful claims against Michael’s Estate. Now that Michael is no longer here to defend himself, Robson, Safechuck and their lawyers continue their efforts to achieve notoriety and a payday by smearing him with the same allegations a jury found him innocent of when he was alive.'

Dan added: ‘Those are two films I’d like to make.

‘But Gavin and Jordan would have to come forward.’

Leaving Neverland is set to air globally, with many radio stations around the world already having removed Michael’s music from their playlists – including BBC Radio 2.

Dan joined Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan on Wednesday, telling them: ‘If you watch the film, you see how their [Wade and Safechuck’s] families have been devastated by what happened.’

Leaving Neverland part two airs on Thursday at 9pm on Channel 4.

The NBA player was seen in NYC on Tuesday, as his team prepares to play the Brooklyn Nets. He was seen earlier in the afternoon bringing two Starbucks cups to his room, and now we know why. He spent the afternoon and evening hanging out with the same mystery brunette whose hand was seen on his Instagram story when they dined at Carbone last week. The stunning model was seen leaving the hotel and getting into an SUV. Tristan followed a few minutes behind in a separate car. The two rendezvoused at Nobu Downtown where they enjoyed a 4 hour meal with a few of Tristan's pals. The two attempted to go unnoticed as they left, but were caught red handed. While Jordyn Woods was forced to do a full confessional interview on her reported hook-up with Tristan Thompson, the basketball star has pretty much been left to fly under the radar.

But just weeks after splitting from his baby mama Khloe Kardashian, it looks like Tristan has moved on.

The 27-year-old has been pictured leaving a hotel with model Karizma Ramirez, a week after they were pictured dining together at A-list favourite Carbone in Manhattan.

Tristan – who is in New York for the Cleveland Cavaliers game against the Brooklyn Nets – was pictured earlier in the day bringing two Starbucks cups to his room, and it seems he wasn’t just super thirsty.

Jumping for joy? (Picture: DIGGZY / SplashNews.com)

Later on, Karizma, 28, was pictured leaving the hotel, dressed in a cropped hoodie and a furry coat, and got into an SUV.

Tristan, meanwhile, seemed to be loving life – after flipping the bird at cameras, the sportsman was seen jumping in the air before following Karizma to Nobu in a separate car.

There, the pair enjoyed a four-hour meal with a few of Tristan’s friends.

Karizma is a model and former waitress who has competed in Hooters’ swimsuit pageants and was previously linked to Chris Brown in 2013.

She’s also followed by Blac Chyna on Instagram, so already has it in with the crowd.

Khloe has dumped Tristan (Picture: NGRE / BACKGRID)

This is Tristan’s second sighting with Karizma in a week, which is pretty impressive considering it’s only been three weeks since he was dumped by Khloe.

Less than a year after Khloe discovered that her beau had cheated on her while in labour with her daughter True, the 34-year-old dumped him amid reports he hooked up with Kylie Jenner’s best friend Jordyn Woods.

Other than a hastily deleted ‘fake news’ tweet, Tristan has remained quiet on the sitch – while Jordyn, 21, was forced to explain herself.

Speaking to Jada Pinkett Smith on Red Table Talk, Jordyn said: ‘I’m no homewrecker. Especially someone that I love who has a beautiful daughter. I wasn’t trying to steal someone’s man. I don’t need your situation.

‘I’m not the reason that Tristan and Khloe are not together. The situation may have made it harder for her to want to be with him, but I know I’m not the reason.’

She also claimed that Tristan kissed her, and that they did not sleep together.

After initially accusing Jordyn of lying and being the reason her family was broken up, Khloe has placed the blame at Tristan’s door.

The reality star, who is mum to 11-month-old True, tweeted: ‘This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I’m a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have. Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time.

‘What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me. Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault.

‘I have to move on with my life & count my blessings, my family, my health, & my beautiful baby True.’

Louis Tomlinson shares grief over mother Johannah’s death: ‘It’s sad what happened to me’

Louis Tomlinson admits it was ‘tough’ to play his new single, Two Of Us, for his sisters after their mother Johannah Deakin’s death.

The former One Direction singer was left devastated after his beloved mum, Deakin, died in December 2016 after a battle with leukemia.

Two years later, Louis, 27, has channelled his heartache into his new music but admits he worried about playing Two Of Us for his younger sisters.

Opening up on his grief to BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat, Louis said: ‘I’m not at the stage in my grief where I’m going to open the first verse and burst into tears.

‘It was something I needed to get off my chest. I used to lean on my mum for a lot of things – anytime I needed advice on something she would be the first call I made.’

The popstar said it was ‘a tough one’ playing the song for his sisters because he ‘didn’t want them to get caught up in the sadness’.

Louis added: ‘There is a lot of fight in life and I just get on with it. I’m quite a positive person but there’s no two ways about it – it’s sad what happened to me.

‘[But] I don’t want people to get caught up in the sadness of it. The song should be hopeful.’

The former boy band singer also admitted he’s ‘never felt anything like that before’ in terms of his grief and says writing the new single ‘definitely helped’.

Some of the heartbreaking lyrics in Two Of Us include: ‘It’s been a minute since I called you/ You’ll never know how much I miss you/ The day that they took you/ I wish it was me instead/ But you once told me don’t give up.’

Louis Tomlinson’s new single, Two Of Us, will be released at 1pm today.

Patrick Stewart’s Star Trek spin-off name ‘revealed’ and fans are seriously unimpressed

Patrick Stewart will be back as Picard later this year (Picture: Rex)

Although Patrick Stewart’s Star Trek spin-off has been in the works for months now, its title has remained one of the biggest mysteries – until now it seems.

Last month, fans got excited when Sonequa Martin-Green appeared to reveal that it has been called Picard, however it now looks as though that has been axed as Production Weekly has listed the Picard series on its schedule.

The leading tracking source notes that production will commence on 14 April under the name Star Trek: Destiny.

Yep, Destiny might actually be the one, folks.

Fans aren’t totally convinced by the name (Picture: Twitter)

The new name hasn’t won over fans of the series just yet, with one begging it on Twitter: ‘DO NOT CALL IT STAR TREK DESTINY.’

Patrick confirmed that he’d be reprising his role as Picard for a new Star Trek series back in August, with showrunner Alex Kurzman saying: ‘With overwhelming joy, it’s a privilege to welcome Sir Patrick Stewart back to the Star Trek fold.

‘For over 20 years, fans have hoped for the return of Captain Jean-Luc Picard and that day is finally here.

‘We can’t wait to forge new ground, surprise people, and honor generations both new and old.’

Star Trek: Discovery airs Thursdays on CBS All Access in the US, with episodes releasing Friday on Netflix UK.

Rape Day game removed from Steam but developer vows to go ‘somewhere else’

Who needs consoles when you have Steam?
Rape Day will no longer be sold on Steam

Valve has taken down the product page for a game where you play a ‘menacing serial killer rapist’, saying it poses ‘unknown costs and risks’.

Close-up shot of a mid-adult woman holding a UK passport in her hand while waiting in the airport terminal. When to renew your passport, how to do it and how long does it take?

Earlier in the week Valve came under intense pressure for allowing a game called Rape Day onto Steam, a game which described itself as allowing players to ‘verbally harass, kill, and rape women as you choose to progress the story’.

Valve has made a point before of not judging the content of games on Steam, but it seems this one was so extreme they’ve made an exception.

‘Much of our policy around what we distribute is, and must be, reactionary – we simply have to wait and see what comes to us via Steam Direct’, reads a short blog post.

‘We then have to make a judgement call about any risk it puts to Valve, our developer partners, or our customers. After significant fact-finding and discussion, we think ‘Rape Day’ poses unknown costs and risks and therefore won’t be on Steam.

‘We respect developers’ desire to express themselves, and the purpose of Steam is to help developers find an audience, but this developer has chosen content matter and a way of representing it that makes it very difficult for us to help them do that.’

The game has now been removed from Steam but the developer’s own website has vowed to carry on, and even set up a new site for games that are ‘too morally reprehensible for Steam’.

‘First step is setting up sale for the game somewhere else’, reads a FAQ answer.

‘The next step is reaching out to other quality developers whose game(s) were banned, which include pornographic content and nothing illegal, to organise a niche site where you can purchase porn games that are too morally reprehensible for Steam. This will take a little time, for example finding the right payment processor for such a project. But don’t worry… it will happen.’

Which radio stations have cancelled Michael Jackson music from their playlists?

Leaving Neverland has caused controversy across the world (Picture: HBO)

UK viewers have been left feeling uncomfortable after watching the first part of Leaving Neverland: Michael Jackson And Me which aired on Channel 4.

The four-hour film – the second part of which airs tonight – sees James Safechuck and Wade Robson recounting their claims that they were abused by the pop superstar when they were children.

The documentary has already attracted a lot of controversy – from leaving viewers across the world traumatised by its graphic content, to sparking protests from fans over its transmission.

It’s also led to the singer’s music being pulled from radio stations across the world.

But which stations have taken the singer off their playlists in the wake of the film?

Which radio stations have cancelled Michael Jackson music from their playlists?

Radio stations in New Zealand have removed the singer’s work almost entirely from its playlists, led by commercial network MediaWorks, which owns a string of stations there.

Company director Leon Wratt told CNN in a statement: ‘Michael Jackson isn’t currently on any MediaWorks Radio stations’ playlists.

‘This is a reflection of our audiences and their preferences – it is our job to ensure our radio stations are playing the music people want to hear.’

Broadcastng rival NZ’ME has done the same, with their entertainment director telling the New Zealand Herald that the singer that their playlists change weekly and that at present Jackson does ‘not feature’ on them.

Jackson has also been pulled from radio stations in Canada and Australia, and is currently off the BBC Radio 2 playlist – who according to reports last played an MJ track on 24 February.

The BBC clarified this to Metro.co.uk in a statement, saying: ‘We consider each piece of music on its own merits and decisions what we play on different network are always made with relevant audiences and context in mind.’

When is the next part of Leaving Neverland on Channel 4?

The second instalment is on Channel 4 on Thursday night at 9pm.

Comedian, X Factor judge and author David Walliams can now add ‘postbox recipient’ to his CV, after he was given a pretty awesome plaudit this week.

The Little Britain star was honoured with a special postbox for his work as a children’s author all to mark World Book Day, the best of the World days behind World Cupcake Day and World Smuggle Your Dog Into Work Day.

Decorated by Royal Mail, David joined the likes of CS Lewis, Judith Kerr and Frances Hodgson Burnett who have also been celebrated with specially-decorated boxes for you to shove your Mother’s Day cards into.

Each one is adorned in quotes from some of their best-loved works, across the UK in locations significant to them.

Isn’t that sweet?

David’s influence as a children’s author has been highlighted with a bright yellow postbox outside London’s Natural History Museum, which is featured in his book The Ice Monster.

Speaking of the addition, the 47-year-old said he was honoured to be featured, as he added: ‘I am an advocate of letter writing. Letters are so much more meaningful than a text or email. So I hope this encourages children to use their local postbox.’

To be fair, it might even encourage us to lick a stamp and get a pen pal or something. 2019 is for change, people.

To many we may recognise him as one half of Lou and Andy alongside Matt Lucas, or perhaps as the rather eyebrow-raising Emily Howard. But the Britain’s Got Talent judge and former LittleBritain star is recognised as one of the most popular children’s authors of a generation after releasing his 2008 debut The Boy In The Dress, and follow-ups Mr Stink, Gangsta Granny and Ratburger. Each have topped the best seller lists.

When it comes to the other authors honoured, CJ Lewis, whose most famous work is The Chronicles Of Narnia, has a postbox situated in Belfast, where he was born.

The Secret Garden author Frances Hodgson Burnett’s postbox is in Manchester, where she was born, while writer and illustrator Judith Kerr, known for the Mog series of books has a postbox situated in Barnes, where she lives.

Holly Willoughby was forced to present Thursday’s This Morning solo as Phillip Schofield was off sick.

The 38-year-old host revealed the news at the beginning of the programme, confessing that she sat in

‘Well you might have noticed, I’m all by myself. Phillip is not well today and we’re wishing him lots of love and hope that he’s better soon.

‘It’s so weird, I came and sat here and I sat in his chair. It just didn’t seem right to sit in that chair,’ she said as she pointed to the empty seat, ‘and this one to be empty.

‘I’ll be far from lonely though as later in the show I’ll be joined by 40 children.’

Viewers wished Phil well on Twitter and rooted for Holly’s solo gig, writing: ‘She is a total pro. Amazing. Go Holly!’

Meanwhile, some viewers wondered why This morning couldn’t find a presenter to fill in for Phil, asking: ‘When Holly has been ill in the past,  they’ve managed to find Phil a back-up sidekick.

‘How come they couldn’t find Holly one?’

Last month, Holly was absent from the show due to sickness leaving Phil to present the show with Rochelle Humes.

Queer Eye host Karamo Brown has opened up about his previous cocaine addiction and admits that after along and harrowing journey to sobriety, he’s finally ‘forgiven himself’.

The 38-year-old, a member of the hit Netflix shows Fab Five, has opened up about his past drug addiction in hopes that his story will help others.

Speaking to People about his past drug abuse, Karamo said: ‘Cocaine became my escape. I went to a place where I was using this drug and using it early in the morning and in the evening.

‘The look on her face, of hurt, of pain, I was like ugh. I put my family through that.’

The TV star recalls the lowest point of his addiction was when he handed over his bank card to a drug dealer, and even snorting cocaine while his mother was in the car.

The Queer Eye star is currently engaged to Ian Jordan (Picture: Getty Images)

Explaining how he was able to reconcile his addiction, Karamo said: ‘But I had to forgive myself because going through that allows me to talk to people who have addictions and say, “I know what you’re going through”.

‘It allows me to talk to family members who are dealing with someone who has an addiction. I can speak to that and say ‘you can grow through this and heal from it.’

On a happier note, Karamo is engaged to his director partner Ian Jordan, and hopes their nuptials will top the lavish celebrations of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ Indian wedding last December.

Good luck guys.

Teasing their upcoming wedding, Karamo said: ‘He’s been to the hospital twice because of anxiety over the wedding. He’s never had panic attacks and all of a sudden he’s having panic attacks because I’m planning this lavish wedding.

‘We were touring the venue the other day and literally in the middle of it he starts having a panic attack. It’s like a 32-acre venue. I’m other there like, “Here’s where I want the ferris wheel, horses”. I’m putting the Kardashians to shame.’

The TV star added: ‘I saw Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra [at the Vanity Fair Oscars party] and literally, I wanted to run up to them to be like, “You don’t know me but you’re the competition in my head for my wedding”.’

It sounds like Karamo will be giving Priyanka, 36, a good run for her money as he reveals that he’s planning a huge cape to trump the actress’ 75ft wedding dress train.

Sounds epic. Can we get an invite?

Lord of The Rings teaser hints at new plot details and shuts down that Aragorn casting call

FILM 'The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers' (2003).. Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn New Line Cinema.
It doesn’t sound like the Lord of The Rings TV series will follow Aragorn after all (Picture: New Line)

Lord of The Rings have released another teaser which seems to debunk claims Aragorn will be taking centre stage in the Amazon Prime series.

The show’s official Twitter account has been dripping lines from a JRR Tolkein poem alongside an interactive map of Middle Earth over the past few weeks, and the latest clue may have revealed some plot details.

After The Walking Dead star Tom Payne claimed Amazon are auditioning for Aragorn (which he’s be perfect for FYI), originally played by Viggo Mortensen in the Peter Jackson trilogy, a new post from the channel seems to suggest we’ll be taken way back to 900 years before Frodo’s keeper was even born.

Previous rumblings suggested the series will explore how the ring came to be, and it’s looking more and more likely with new locations added to the map, which has really fired up hardcore fans.

Minas Anor is the preceding name of the white city Minas Tirith which was a focal point of Peter Jackson’s Return of the King, while Minas Ithil is the previous name of Minas Morgul, the fortress which guarded Mordor.

One fan has noted the use of the ancient names, suggesting Amazon’s Lord of the Rings will take place before the 2000th year of the Third Age when Minas Anor and Minas Ithil were renamed.

This superfan can fill you in:

However, there’s more chance of us waking up in the Shire than getting any confirmation from Amazon, as the streaming giant revealed they’re keeping all details of their Lord of the Rings series tied up in more security than actual Mordor.

‘There’s a fantastic writer’s room working under lock and key,’ explained Jennifer Salke, Amazon Studios’ chief. ‘They’re already generating really exciting material. They’re down in Santa Monica.

‘You have to go through such clearance, and they have all their windows taped closed. And there’s a security guard that sits outside, and you have to have a fingerprint to get in there, because their whole board is up on a thing of the whole season.’
