Love Island star Chris Hughes confirms Jesy Nelson romance: ‘The happiest I’ve ever been’

It’s official, Chris and Jesy are a couple (Picture: Backgrid, chrishughesofficial)

It’s official, Love Island’s Chris Hughes and Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson are a couple and perhaps more serious than many first thought.

After that kebab shop kiss, the new couple went public with their romance on Instagram and now Chris, 26, admits he’s never been happier in a relationship.

Cute.

Speaking to Kiss FM’s breakfast show, the Love Island star said: ‘I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. It’s official, she’s my girlfriend.

‘I’m so happy, she’s the nicest girl I’ve ever met, this is no exaggeration, she’s got a heart like she was your mother or something.’

Are you melting yet?

Chris added: ‘She’s so caring. We just get on like best mates, and that’s the beauty about it.’

Ah, how lovely.

Chris might have some explaining to do with Jesy though as the TV star was asked when her birthday was and said it was 15 June 1991 – it’s actually the 14th. Awkward.

While Chris is floating on cloud nine, his new relationship doesn’t exactly bode well for his bestie Kem Cetinay, who is worried he’ll be sidelined.

The Dancing One Ice presenter said: ‘I’ve never seen him like this, and we’re very close. I know we’ve only known each other two years.

‘But I’m a little bit worried… What happens to me now? Where do I go? He’s got a new love of his life, what happens to the old love? What happens to bromance? I’ve been pushed to the side!’

Kem shared his concerns about spending less time with Chris earlier in the week, saying on Good Morning Britain: ‘He seems really happy and that’s all that matters so as long as she doesn’t take him away from me too much, then I’m alright.’

The new couple confirmed their relationship on Instagram with a photo of them kissing on date night. Chris added the caption: ‘The only inmate I’ve ever needed.’

Andy from Fyre Fest proves he will take one for the team for Comic Relief

Andy King - Netflix Fyre Festival
The man, the myth, the legend (Picture: Netflix)

Andy King became an unexpected hero this year after the release of Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, when we learned he was willing to trade oral sex for Evian.

And he’s continued to prove he’s the most selfless and self-deprecating man there is. A true icon for 2019.

Andy lent his services to the Radio 1 LOLathon, as Scott Mills and Chris Stark attempt to fill 24 hours with jokes for Comic Relief.

And two hours before the end of their epic lol-fest, Andy dropped by to prove he’d do anything for customer service, and Comic Relief.

The Fyre Fest doc star appeared via video link on Radio 1, with Scott asking: ‘It’s two hours before Miley Cyrus comes on stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Middlesbrough, but her Evian hasn’t arrived. It’s being held at the port of Middlesbrough. What do you do?’

Andy said: ‘I’d probably take one for the team. Well, you know, somebody would have to do the research for me, because that’s sort of the awkward part. Then I can just perform.’

Chris said: ‘You’re a legend’, before pressing: ‘It’s an hour before Lewis Capaldi comes on stage for his homecoming gig in Glasgow. It’s sold out, Andy, 20,000 people. And the Evian hasn’t arrived!’

Explaining what he’d do to get the water freed from the Glaswegian port, Andy said: ‘I’d probably take a shower, change my clothes, simple bit of mouthwash…’

And if Glastonbury found their water supply held at the port – in glass bottles, seeing as plastic has been banned – Andy would step up, as he told Scott and Chris: ‘I am going to take one for the team for sure.’

What. A. Hero.

(Although, please, people, don’t feel like you should swap sexual favours for supplies. Not ok.)

Katie Price gets her way as Princess and Junior star in fashion shoot for new online boutiques

Katie Price complained earlier this week that her ex Peter Andre was banning their children Junior and Princess from being in photoshoots.

Well, it seems like she’s got her own way, as the 40-year-old has given a sneak peek at her new clothing websites, starring her kids as the models.

Katie announced last month that she was launching two kids’ clothing boutiques in honour of her youngest sons Junior, 13, and Jett, 5, and her daughters Princess, 11, and Bunny, 4.

And the reality star gave a glimpse at the attire she’ll be selling as she posted pictures from a shoot to her Instagram story.

In one, Princess and Bunny were seen posing against a pink background wearing matching leopard print dresses, with the eldest girl also rocking fluffy black sliders.

And in the next, Junior modelled a grey tracksuit with striped detailing on the sleeves against a blue background.

Katie told fans the websites, PrincessandBunny.co.uk and JuniorandJett.co.uk, would be launching on 8 April.

This comes after the star hit out at her ex-husband Pete during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.

She fumed: ‘Well, I’ll tell you about husband number one. I’m really cheesed off with Pete. He won’t allow me to film with them or do photoshoots with them.

‘So when people watch my show, they’re going to think “Well, where’s Junior and Princess?”

‘He won’t allow me to film with them, he won’t allow me to do photoshoots with them and he’s being such a hypocrite.

‘But unfortunately at this stage, you need both parents’ permission. So I just want to put it out there that he’s really selfish and the kids miss out on it.’

It was previously claimed that Peter, who now has two kids with wife Emily McDonagh, had no idea Katie was launching boutiques named after their children, and found out through social media.

Katie is mum to 16-year-old Harvey with Dwight Yorke, Princess and Junior with Pete, and Jett and Bunny with ex-husband Kieran Hayler.

It is believed Katie is launching her new boutiques in an effort to pay off her debts, after she avoided bankruptcy last year.

Annie Lennox reached out to David Lammy for help following Stacey Dooley ‘white saviour’ controversy

Annie Lennox revealed how she reached out to David Lammy following his ‘white saviour’ comments fired at Stacey Dooley.

Last month, David called out the Strictly Come Dancing winner in a heated Twitter exchange after she said she was ‘obsessed’ with a young black child she was holding.

Joining Thursday’s This Morning with Holly Willoughby, Annie, who ‘goes way back with Comic Relief,’ said that she contacted the MP personally in a bid to better understand how she can ‘help her sisterhood.’

‘It is true that some of us perhaps jump onto the causes occasionally and money is raised and made…’ the 64-year-old Eurythmics singer pointed out. ‘It’s a very, very tricky one.

‘I spoke to David Lammy personally, because I want to understand better, for my colour that is white, how can I help my sisterhood which is all colours?

‘How can I be part of a global sisterhood, which is what I think I’ve been doing and I don’t feel I’m coming in as a white saviour.

‘I’m looking at ways for women to empower themselves.’

Holly then asked whether it was unfair that David called Stacey a ‘white saviour,’ to which she replied: ‘I think that it’s a very controversial term and I think David is very angry.’

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.

Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart says ‘upsetting’ pregnancy rumours took a hit to her self-esteem

Lili has hit back at the harsh rumours (Picture: FilmMagic)

Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart has addressed previous pregnancy rumours, admitting they hurt her self-esteem.

In May last year the actress, who plays Betty Cooper on the CW show, was forced to deny she was pregnant as she hit back at cruel trolls who were commenting on her body as if it were carrying Cole Sprouse’s sprog.

Now the 21-year-old has admitted the rumours about her bod were particularly hurtful to hear.

‘It was bugging me and at first it was really upsetting,’ Lili said to Entertainment Tonight the CDFA Fashion Awards on Monday.

Lili is dating her Riverdale co-star Cole (Picture: Getty Images)

‘I’m 21 – I’m not pregnant, I don’t want people to think I’m pregnant if I’m not pregnant.

‘It did take a hit to my self-esteem for a second and then I kind of picked myself back up and said, “I’m not going to let this ruin my day!”’

Talking about the manner in which she previously addressed the rumours head on, instead of ignoring them or issuing some PR-perfected statement, she said it was the way she liked to go about things.

And more power to her.

‘I feel like a lot of people say you should just sweep it under the rug, don’t pay attention to it, but that’s never really been my style,’ she said. ‘Maybe some people find that obnoxious, but I felt the need to say, “No. I’m not pregnant”.’

Last year the star took to Instagram to share her thoughts about the so-called ‘unflattering photo’ that first got people talking (seriously, girl might have eaten a burger and people are talking).

‘It’s unfortunate that one unflattering photo of my stomach circulating the internet causes hundreds of people to think that I’m pregnant,’ she said.

‘Nope. Not pregnant. This is just my body.

‘And sometimes I’m bloated. Sometimes an unflattering photo is taken of me. Sometimes I go through periods of time where I gain weight.’

She added: ‘My body is something that I will NEVER apologize for. My body will constantly go through change. And so will yours.

‘And that’s fine. ‘So let’s not put to much time and effort into caring about a stranger’s figure.’

She capped off her comments with a sassy sticker as she said: ‘Bye’.

James Argent snaps selfie with Winnie Harlow at Paris Fashion Week and it’s the most unlikely friendship

James Argent has come a long way from the bright lights of Essex, as the Towie star is now hanging out with supermodels like Winnie Harlow. Got to respect the hustle.

The 31-year-old has popped over to France in the midst of Paris Fashion Week and didn’t waste time in mingling with the a-listers, bumping into catwalk queen Winnie at the Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris where it appears they are both staying.

Judging by their smiles in the cute selfie, Arg and Winnie bonded pretty quickly and clearly, accents weren’t a barrier for them.

In a rather sweet message to the supermodel, Arg captioned the photo: ‘Such a pleasure to meet the incredibly beautiful @winnieharlow today @fsparis She has inspired & given confidence to so many people!’

Wonder if Winnie will be popping round to his and Gemma’s for a cup of tea…

While Arg has great admiration for Winnie, his affections truly lie with his girlfriend Gemma Collins, whom he’s whisked off to Paris for a romantic break following rumours they had split.

Gemma is said to have dumped Arg and kicked him out of her home after he sent nasty text messages about her weight, including one which said: ‘You’re nearly 40 fucking years old, you embarrassment… who the fuck do you think you are? You’ve got more rolls than Greggs.’

Arg later apologised for the insensitive comments and told OK! Magazine that they were said in the ‘heat of the moment’.

Admitting to sending the messages, the reality TV star explained: ‘They were sent in the heat of the moment. We were having a huge row because she was angry with me for posting the video of her snoring on social media.’

All is well for now, with the couple reunited and enjoying their Parisian getaway. Earlier this week, the pair were seen sharing a kiss against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower.

Tres romantique.

Foals’ frontman Yannis Philippakis believes that Brexit ‘feels like an act of self-harm’.

The singer, who was accused of being a Leave supporter after an interview in 2016, said that his words were widely misunderstood and that he was just trying to play devil’s advocate.

On the eve of the release of the band’s first album in four years, and a few weeks before the UK meets the Brexit deadline on 29 March, the artist cleared up a few things.

‘I should have known better than to give that answer in the way that I did but really, I was kind of basically playing devil’s advocate and saying that these are the concerns of the people who want to leave,’ he explained to the Independent.

‘I am definitely pro-Remain. I think that it’s just been so destructive for the country and for Europe in general,’ he added.

Emphasising that he has always been a Remainer, he said: ‘I feel deeply disappointed by the way that the country has dealt with it.

‘The adults, the politicians, I think that the lowering of the standards of truth and political discourse and transparency has just been really, really shocking.

‘Brexit feels like an act of self-harm.’

This comes almost three years after Yannis told BBC that his ‘main concern’ about Brexit would be the growing population in the UK.

The singer, who was born in Greece, said at the time: ‘You start to realise that what you think of as your country and your democratic say has been stripped away.

‘That’s not to say that I’m with the people who are Brexit but I think that there are very legitimate concerns.’

Foals new album Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost is out on 8 March.

The Umbrella Academy’s Diego Hargreeves, or Number Two, is not the warmest of characters but star Diego Castaneda believes that all the blamne should really be placed on Reginald.

And we’d have to agree.

‘It’s so interesting because when I have these interviews, [people are] like “Yo, your character was such a dick. You’re so mean.” But when we were shooting it, I was so cemented in who Diego is and where he comes from that it never felt like that with me,’ he said.

‘Obviously, when you come from a sense of not being enough, which is what Reginald did to Diego, that’s gonna build, that resentment. But it never comes from a place of spitefulness.

‘It comes from a place of just wanting to be loved.’

Diego is a vigilante, and would rather ignore police procedure and take the law into his own hands.

His actions saw him meet and fall in love with Eudora Patch but they also led to her death, and he told SYFY FANGRRLS that her unexpected death gave him the ‘utmost respect’ for the Netflix series’ show runners.

‘I have the utmost respect for shows that are willing to just kick away any character early in the season because then you’re like, “I don’t even know where this is going now,” because there’s this person who you felt would have a full season arc and suddenly [they] die,’ he said.

‘It leaves everyone vulnerable.’

R Kelly accuses ex-wife Andrea of ‘tearing’ him away from children over sex abuse claims in tense interview

R Kelly has accused his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, of ‘tearing’ him away from their three children over the mounting sex abuse allegations.

In the second part of his emotionally-charged interview with CBS News’ Gayle King, the 52-year-old singer broke down in tears and cried over his non-existent relationship with the three children he shares with Andrea: Robert Kelly Jr, Jay and Joann.

It comes just as R Kelly was arrested on Wednesday for reportedly failing to pay child support.

Speaking to King, the singer said: ‘[Andrea’s] not telling the truth, I have nothing against her that is my kids’ mother. I’m not disrespecting her by not saying she’s not telling the truth.’

Becoming increasingly irate, R Kelly added through tears: ‘My kids is listening to all of this nonsense. This is real.

BGUK_1508765 - ** RIGHTS: WORLDWIDE EXCEPT IN UNITED STATES ** Los Angeles, CA, CA - R Kelly breaks down as he denies sexual abuse allegations in explosive interview with CBS' Gayle King. In his first TV interview since he was charged with sexual abuse last month, a tearful R Kelly says he is 'fighting' for his life. In a teaser for an interview that will air in full over two days on CBS This Morning, Kelly says allegations he slept with underage girls are not true and a product of 'people going back to my past' whom he did not identify specifically in the released clip. "They're going back to the past and they trying to add all of this stuff now to that, to make all of the stuff that's going on now feel real to people," he tells Gayle King. At one point, Kelly points to the camera and says it would be stupid of him to hold girls against their will. "Use your common sense. ... Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me. Hate me if you want to; love me if you want. But just use your common sense," he says, raising his voice. "How stupid would it be for me ... with my crazy past and what I've been through?" Kelly then appears to begin crying as he declares: "I didn't do this stuff. This is not me. I'm fighting for my f****** life." Kelly was indicted last month on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse - a class 2 felony - involving four alleged victims. The indictment accuses Kelly of sexual acts with three children older than 13 but younger than 17. There is no age range listed for one of the alleged victims. The charges say Kelly used force or the threat of force. His attorney, Steve Greenberg, has said his client is innocent. The charges span from 1998 to 2010, according to Cook County, Illinois, State's Attorney Kim Foxx. If convicted, Kelly faces three to seven years in prison for each count. *BACKGRID DOES NOT CLAIM ANY COPYRIGHT OR LICENSE IN THE ATTACHED MATERIAL. ‘What kind of woman would tear down a dad who’s trying to have a relationship with their kids?’

When asked what kind of contact he has with his children, R Kelly replied: ‘Zero. But I know my kids love me and I’m in love with my kids.’

The I Believe I Can Fly singer then addressed the state of his finances, and said he visited the Bank Of America by himself for the first time as an adult a month ago.

R Kelly said: ‘So many people have been stealing my money, people who was connected to my account.

‘I got $350,000 (£266,000) in the bank. I told [Andrea] take that I’m going to start a new account. It’s going to take seven working days to clear.

‘How can I pay child support if my ex-wife is destroying my name and I can’t work. How can I work, get paid, take care of my kids?’

Jocelyn Savage and Azriel Clary, the two women whom R Kelly is accused of holding against their will, also spoke to King and defended the singer.

Azriel said: ‘When I was 17 my parents were trying to make me take sexual videos with R Kelly. They said, “If they ever want to blackmail him they can do” which is what they’re doing now.’

Backing up Azriel’s claims, Jocelyn said: ‘Everything she’s saying is true. Our parents are just out here to get money.’

This Morning under fire for using ‘fake’ breaking news alert for gender reveal: ‘I thought something awful had happened’

This Morning viewers are furious after the magazine show played a ‘fake’ breaking news alert during a gender reveal segment on Thursday’s episode.

Holly Willoughby, who was presenting on her own, prevented Dr Ranj Singh from telling an expectant couple what their baby’s sex was by diverting to ITV news instead, panicking everyone at home.

‘I’m really sorry to interrupt right now, but I’m going to have to stop you,’ Holly said. ‘We’ve just heard that there’s some breaking news.

‘We need to cross now to Nina Hossain who’s at the ITV newsroom with more details.’

However, it turned out that the breaking news wasn’t anything serious, but part of the baby reveal.

‘We’re interrupting your normal scheduled programming as we have some breaking news regarding expectant couple Chelsea Austin and Jack Fythian,’ said Nina.

She then began to detail the partners’ relationship history, before revealing that they’re expecting twin boys in July.

Naturally fans were outraged by the segment, with some believing that the Queen had passed away.

Sharing their fury on Twitter, they wrote: ‘I thought something serious had happened there. I thought it was another attack or something. Not cool’ and ‘That is fucking ridiculous in this day and age to fake a news report.’

People were concerned that the alert was about a terrorist attack (Picture: Twitter)

Others branded the move ‘irresponsible’ in light of suspicious packages being sent to transport hubs, saying: ‘I honestly thought ITV news was about to announce a terrorist attack.’

On Tuesday, it was reported that ‘suspicious packages’ had been found at Waterloo Station, Hounslow near Heathrow Airport and Newham near City Airport in separate incidents.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.

The men, who say that Jackson abused them both as children, go into ‘upsetting’ detail during the course of the documentary when describing what they allege happened to them on Jackson’s now-notorious Neverland Ranch.

UK viewers can now see for themselves what shocking things Robson and Safechuck have to say about their time spent with Jackson, with Robson saying that the abuse first began when he was alone with Jackson at the ranch.

As for the property itself, many are now wondering what’s happened to it after Jackson’s death in 2009.

Can you visit Neverland Ranch?

For years, fans have made what could be described as a pilgrimage to Neverland Ranch, much in the same way that Elvis fans will go visit his old mansion, Graceland.

However, unlike Graceland, Neverland Ranch is not designed to be a tourist attraction, and therefore visitors can only go as far as the gate, and once there, read any notes that may have been left by fans of the singer.

Where is Neverland Ranch, and who owns it?

Neverland Ranch can be found in Santa Barbara County, California, at 5225 Figueroa Mountain Road, Los Olivos, California.

The ranch has been known by several names. It started out as the Zaca Laderas Ranch, was renamed Sycamore Valley Ranch by developer William Bone when he bought the property back in 1977, and then finally became Neverland Ranch when it passed into Jackson’s hands.

Upon Michael’s death, his entire estate, which would have included Neverland Ranch, was given to a family trust.

It’s not known for sure exactly how much Jackson paid to buy the ranch from Bone in 1988, but figures range from close to $20 million (£15.32 million ) to roughly $30 million (almost £23 million).

In 2015, Neverland Ranch was put on sale for $100 million (£76.6 million).

However, as of September last year, the ranch was still on the market, only for 33% less of its original asking price – $67 million (£51.3 million).

Charlotte Crosby hinted at betrayal after she ‘left Emily Atack’s In The Style launch in tears’.

The Geordie Shore star was joined at the bash by boyfriend Joshua Richie, and seemed to have a whale of a time, showing off her dance moves and posing for pictures with fans.

However, things took a turn when a source claimed she was ‘snubbed’ from the VIP section at the swanky bash – held at Libertine club – and ‘blanked’ by the I’m A Celebrity star.

‘She milled around outside the VIP area while Emily partied in an exclusive area just metres away with Scarlett Moffatt, Leigh Franics and James McVey,’ an insider said.

‘It was a small space but when Emily wandered off to use the loo, she totally ignored Charlotte, who looked on uncomfortably with boyfriend Joshua and at one point tried to dance sexily for the 50 or so people in the area, to avoid awkwardness.

‘There was no acknowledgement and Charlotte was massively embarrassed,’ they added to The Sun. ‘Charlotte was there because she previously launched a collection with the brand, but apparently Emily wasn’t interested in getting any tips!’

However, Emily hit back at the claims, tweeting they ‘had a great night’.

Quote-tweeting a fan who asked about the snub, she posted: ‘Eh!?! Not true at all!! We had a great night!’

So that’s that then.

Char was obviously upset about something in the evening, and took to social media to lash out at those around her.

‘The feeling of being betrayed by every1 you no is honestly one of the worst,’ she told her 3.1million Twitter, alongside a string of crying emojis.

While she didn’t shed any light on who exactly she directed her emotional post to, The Sun states the 28-year-old fumed about ‘fake fuckers’ in a now-deleted Instagram story.

In a post shared with her 6.6million fans – before being quickly taken down – she said: ‘I’ve got such a big f***ing problem with fake f***ers in this industry. Make me laugh SO SO SOOOO much…

‘I’m so glad I’ve got a very small circle of REAL friends, and not just making FALSE FRIENDSHIPS for social media status.

‘That must be painful man SO PAINFUL.’

Charlotte didn’t actually name the ‘fake people’ she was talking about, but she’s definitely not a happy bunny…

Metro.co.uk has contacted Charlotte’s reps for a comment.

Gwyneth Paltrow thinks psychedelics are the next big thing – and yes, they’ll feature on Goop

Gwyneth has some interesting predictions (Picture: Matt Baron/REX/Shutterstock)

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop website is a bit of an enigma – whether it’s raising chuckles by promoting psychic vampire repellent, or infuriating by preaching about putting jade eggs up your vagina, its advice is definitely… interesting.

And the next advice you can expect to see on Goop? Take psychedelics.

Gwyneth has predicted that psychedelics are the next big thing, although she’s too ‘terrified’ to take them herself.

The 46-year-old spoke to New York Times magazine about her lifestyle empire – which is worth $250 million – and talked about what will be the new gluten-free diet.

She said: ‘I think how psychedelics affect health and mental health and addiction will come more into the mainstream.’

Goop is known for its out-there suggestions (Picture: Layne Murdoch Jr./Getty Images for goop)

The Avengers star singled out ibogaine, a shrub from Gabon which some believe can treat opiate addiction, although it is currently banned in the US.

While we don’t know as yet how Goop will deal with the predicted rise of psychedelics, the website has been criticised for some of the things it promotes.

Last year, Goop settled a $145,000 lawsuit after being sued for false advertising, including claims that a $66 vaginal jade egg could balance hormones, increase bladder control and regulate menstrual cycles.

The site also advertised that a blend of essential oils added to bathwater or taken orally could help prevent depression.

When asked about the posts on her site which ‘stray into psuedoscience’, Gwyneth – who recently tied the knot with Brad Falchuk – said: ‘When we were young and not even monetising the business and just sort of creating content, we didn’t necessarily understand anything about claims. We just thought, “Oh, this is a cool alternative modality, let’s write about it.”

‘Of course we’ve made some mistakes along the way, but we’ve never been prescriptive. We’ve never said, “You should try this,” or “This works.” We’re just saying, “Wow, this is interesting, let’s have a Q. and A. with this person who practices this.” And then that somehow gets translated into, “Gwyneth says you should do this.”’

Currently on the Goop wellness section, there is an article about a ‘luxury cannabis brand’ and a guide to ‘Goop-approved lubes’.

Something for everyone, eh?

Brie Larson knows how to steal the limelight at an event as she headed down the red carpet for the Captain Marvel premiere in New York City.

The star attended as the Fiji Water with the Cinema Society hosted a special screening of the latest superhero movie.

The 29-year-old, who plays the leading role the Marvel, was a vision (no relation to the Marvel hero) in her glittery co-ord.

Showing off her midriff, Brie’s multi-coloured sparkly outfit consisted of a long-sleeved crop top with puffy sleeves from the shoulders to the elbows, and matching fitted bottoms.

… some wear crop tops (Picture: Rex Features)

Brie is the first to play a leading female role in a Marvel movie, and it sure looked like she deserved the part because not all heroes wear capes – some wear crop tops.

Saving the universe, but make it fashion.

It was recently revealed that the highly anticipated superhero flick will feature a post-credits scene, as is Marvel tradition, and a tribute to the late ‘father of Marvel’ Stan Lee.

Chatting about what to expect, directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck told Metro.co.uk that fans will be mopping their tears off the cinema floor.

Anna explained: ‘We did want to have a moment to tribute Stan Lee in this movie obviously, it was something that came from Marvel and when they showed it to us there was not a dry eye in the house. It was really emotional.’

Giggling about how much she could give away, the 42-year-old added: ‘I don’t wanna get fired now, of all times, that would be so weird!’

Captain Marvel is in cinemas on 8 March (Picture: Rex Features)

And, despite it being the pair’s first foray into the huge Marvel Cinematic Universe, they were determined to make their mark.

Executive producer Jonathan Schwartz explained. ‘I think we all wanted it to be set in the nineties and wanted it to be able to carve out its own corner of the universe.’

Addressing the directing duo, he added: ‘From there it was about talking to you guys and understanding what attracted you to the character and making it weirder and making sure it felt different from anything else we’d ever done before.

‘That’s the key to making the movies feel fresh, it’s relying on the filmmakers to bring a fresh perspective to it, and Ryan and Anna were able to bring a lot of flavour and a lot of emotion and a lot of colour to the movie.’

Captain Marvel is released in UK cinemas on 8 March.

AJ Pritchard has declared that he wants to lead the first Strictly Come Dancing same-sex couple in the next series of the show.

The 24-year-old, who has never defined his sexuality, was confirmed to appear in this year’s dance competition, and knows exactly what he has in mine when

‘If it’s going to be anyone [in a same-sex pairing], I’d like it to be me. I’m 100% the pro to do it.

‘I guess it all depends on who the celebrity contestants are this year,’ he told Daily Mail.

He added: ‘I think we have to wait and see; but if same-sex partnerships do happen it’s going to be so captivating.

‘I am very open to it. People enjoy seeing bodies moving, it doesn’t matter [about gender].’

AJ’s announcement comes after 2018 contestant Dr Ranj Singh declared he wanted to be in a same-sex pairing for his stint, before being partnered with fellow ‘pocket rocket’ Janette Manrara.

In a show first last year, the professionals performed same-sex routines to open the results show, but a celebrity/pro pairing has never competed.

AJ has performed with women throughout the show but thinks now’s the time for change (Picture: PA)

AJ’s suggestion comes as drag queen and CBB champion Courtney Act has used her gender fluidity to perform as a technical same-sex pairing on Dancing With The Stars Australia.

Breaking new ground for the show format, Courtney – real name Shane Jenek – is yet to perform presenting as a male, choosing instead to always dance in drag.

(They even recreate all five Spice Girls thanks to a green screen. It was epic.)

Safechuck and Robson recount their stories in the documentary, claiming they were molested by the so-called King of Pop as young kids.

The documentary also features interviews with Robson’s mother, Joy, his siblings Shane and Chantal, and his wife Amanda, along with Safechuck’s mother Stephanie and his wife Laura.

The first part of the documentary covers how Safechuck and Robson met Jackson, with the former claiming the father-of-three taught him how to masturbate while in Paris on tour.

Speaking about the incident, he said: ‘I have no unpleasant memories of it. You felt like you were bonding. That tour was the start of a sexual, couple relationship.’

Robson alleged his sexual abuse began when he was left alone at Neverland with the singer, claiming superstar began touching his penis, before he began to perform oral sex.

After the documentary, viewers were unsurprisingly left uncomfortable by their accounts, with many unsure what to believe.

Reed has now announced he’d be interested in putting together a follow-up if accusers Jordan Chandler and Gavin Arvizo agreed to speak.

‘What’s interesting is to look at the Jordan Chandler civil case and criminal trial,’ Dan told The Mirror.

Jordan received a $23million (£17,480,575) payout from Michael back in 1994 in a settlement, while Gavin’s allegations resulted in the King of Pop’s 2005 court cast where he was found not guilty of child molestation charges.

Michael Jackson estate's statement on Leaving Neverland

'Leaving Neverland isn’t a documentary, it is the kind of tabloid character assassination Michael Jackson endured in life, and now in death. The film takes uncorroborated allegations that supposedly happened 20 years ago and treats them as fact. These claims were the basis of lawsuits filed by these two admitted liars which were ultimately dismissed by a judge. The two accusers testified under oath that these events never occurred. They have provided no independent evidence and absolutely no proof in support of their accusations, which means the entire film hinges solely on the word of two perjurers.

'Tellingly, the director admitted at the Sundance Film Festival that he limited his interviews only to these accusers and their families. In doing so, he intentionally avoided interviewing numerous people over the years who spent significant time with Michael Jackson and have unambiguously stated that he treated children with respect and did nothing hurtful to them. By choosing not to include any of these independent voices who might challenge the narrative that he was determined to sell, the director neglected fact checking so he could craft a narrative so blatantly one-sided that viewers never get anything close to a balanced portrait.

'For 20 years, Wade Robson denied in court and in numerous interviews, including after Michael passed, that he was a victim and stated he was grateful for everything Michael had done for him. His family benefitted from Michael’s kindness, generosity and career support up until Michael’s death. Conveniently left out of Leaving Neverland was the fact that when Robson was denied a role in a Michael Jackson themed Cirque du Soleil production, his assault allegations suddenly emerged.

'We are extremely sympathetic to any legitimate victim of child abuse. This film, however, does those victims a disservice.  Because despite all the disingenuous denials made that this is not about money, it has always been about money – millions of dollars — dating back to 2013 when both Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who share the same law firm, launched their unsuccessful claims against Michael’s Estate. Now that Michael is no longer here to defend himself, Robson, Safechuck and their lawyers continue their efforts to achieve notoriety and a payday by smearing him with the same allegations a jury found him innocent of when he was alive.'

R Kelly’s girlfriends’ accuse their own parents of ‘soliciting’ them and orchestrating ‘sexual videos’

R Kelly’s ‘girlfriends’ have defended the singer over the sexual abuse allegations, and accuse their own parents of pushing them to send ‘sexual videos’ to him.

Azriel Clary and Jocelyn Savage were among the women alleged to have been held in a so-called ‘sex cult’ run by R Kelly at his Atlanta and Chicago homes.

However, the young women say they are both in relationships with R Kelly while Azriel denies having sex with him when she was 17.

Addressing the claims, Azriel told CBS News’ Gayle King: ‘We’re with him. We’re in a relationship.

‘We both have our individuals with him but we’re also a family.’

In this Wednesday, March 6, 2019 booking photo released by the Cook County Sheriff???s Office is R. Kelly. A Cook County Sheriff's Office official says singer Kelly won't be released from jail until he pays $161,000 in back child support he owes. Sheriff's office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari says Kelly was taken into custody Wednesday during a hearing over the child support and that his next hearing is scheduled for next Wednesday, March 13. However, she became defensive when King asked if they have a ‘sexual’ relationship with R Kelly, stating: ‘First of all I’m not here to talk about my personal life and as a woman I’m sure you wouldn’t either.’

The 21-year-old added: ‘It’s not a different circumstance there are people all over the world who have multiple different girlfriends.’

Azriel grew upset when the topic turned to her parents, whom she has been estranged from for around four years.

She claimed: ‘When I was 17 my parents were trying to make me take sexual videos with R Kelly.

‘They said, “If they ever want to blackmail him they can do” which is what they’re doing now.’

Azriel and Jocelyn say their parents are ‘out to get money’ (Picture: CBS)

Referring to her father, Azriel said angrily: ‘I wouldn’t look him in the eye because he’s a manipulative liar. He’s the one you need to watch out for.

‘I was not having sex with him at 17. When I first met Robert, my parents told me to lie about my age so when I met him, he thought I was 18.’

Particularly irate, Azriel said about her father: ‘You’re trying to solicit me like I’m some kind of hoe. I’m not, I’m your child.

‘This is all lies for money and if you can’t see that you’re ignorant.’

Jocelyn, 23, agreed with Azriel’s comments and added: ‘Our parents are just out here to get money.’

In the first part of his interview with King, R Kelly also accused the women’s parents of ‘selling their daughters’ to him for money.

According to CBS News, Azriel’s parents have denied accepting money from R Kelly.

Gloria Hunniford taught why doubting Michael Jackson’s accusers in Leaving Neverland is problematic: ‘You can’t ask that question’

The Loose Women were at loggerheads today following the Leaving Neverland documentary, which saw Wade Robson and James Safechuck accuse Michael Jackson of molesting them as children.

The film, which aired on Channel 4 last night, has divided opinion into two with thousands refusing to believe the allegations, while even long-term fans are not boycotting the singer’s music.

And the Loose Women panel reflected the mood of the nation as Gloria Hunniford asked why the alleged victims would come forward 10 years after the King of Pop’s death.

GRABS from HBO Documentary: Leaving Neverland ?We had a wedding ceremony in his bedroom?: Michael Jackson accuser ?reveals he married the singer when he was 10, and shows diamond and Rolex rings the King of Pop gave him after he raped the boy? Michael Jackson married one of the boys he is accused of raping in a ceremony held in the King of Pop?s bedroom, according to the new HBO documentary Leaving Neverland. James Safechuck says that he was just 10 when he and Jackson, then 30, held a mock ceremony, while also showing off some of the pricey jewelry he received from the singer. ?I was really into jewelry at that time and he would reward me with jewelry for doing sexual acts to him,? explains Safechuck. ?He would say that I need to sell him some so I could earn the gift.? Leaving Neverland premieres Sunday at 9pm on HBO. At this time, Safechuck had known Jackson for a year after meeting in 1987 on the set of a Pepsi commercial. The abuse had begun a few months later, and as Safechuck explains he was still drawn to the singer because of the mental and emotional manipulation. He also admits that he still feels a great sense of guilt for putting Jackson. ?We were just like fully in love at that time. When I wasn?t with him I was thinking of him,? said Safechuck. ?It just feels like the greatest thing when he calls. He?d come over and we?d spend the day shopping or hang out, or he?d come over and he?d spend the night. Or we?d go to the Hideout in Westwood and spend a few nights there.? The Hideout was Jackson?s apartment in Los Angeles where he would stay when recording or doing press, since the Neverland Ranch he had purchased one year prior was a three-hour drive from the city. Safechuck says that Jackson then took things one step further with a bizarre request. ?So we were like this married couple. I say married because we had this mock wedding ceremony,? claims Safechuck. ?We did this in his bedroom and we filled out some vows like we would be bonded forever. It felt good. And the ring is nice. It has a row of diamonds. The wedding ring.? Safechuck then holds up the ring, with his fingers shaking, and shows how it barely fits on his adult finger. ?It?s hard to go back to that moment,? sauced Safechuck. ?You know, I like jewelry and I liked it as a kid so I think something that I liked was used against me. It causes discomfort. It is still hard for me not to name myself.? Safechuck then continues to pull out expensive pieces from a small jewelry box, his fingers shaking more and more. ?This piece of jewelry is like a roller ring with a diamond in the middle. My hands are shaking just thinking about them,? says Safechuck. ?We would go buy them at jewelry stores and we would pretend they were for someone else. Like for a female but he would pretend like my small hand would fit for whatever female we were buying it for.? He then adds: ?Yeah I don?t like looking at the jewelry.?
James Safechuck claimed Michael Jackson taught him how to masturbate (Picture: HBO)

The 78-year-old was also baffled by the reaction from Robson and Safechuck’s mothers, who were widely criticised for laughing as they recalled their peculiar encounter with the biggest star in the world.

But her co-stars Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore nailed exactly why Gloria’s doubts are problematic, at the very least.

‘I don’t think you can ask or even answer that question unless you’ve been a victim of abuse yourself,’ explained Jane. ‘I don’t want to understand, I’m very glad I don’t understand and have never been in that position.

‘If you get to a point where you can tell your story, irrespective of whether the person is still alive or not, you have a right to tell your story.’

Nadia passionately chipped in: ‘We were blinded by the fact he was a musical genius!’

On the mothers, she added: ‘Who’s to say I couldn’t be manipulated and groomed?’

However, viewers were torn:

During Leaving Neverland, Safechuck recalled being taught how to masturbate by Jackson, and claimed the Thriller hitmaker performed oral sex on him while he was asleep.

Jackson’s estate are suing HBO for $100million (£76million) and have called the documentary a ‘character assassination’.

However, director Dan Reed has now revealed he hopes to release another film if accusers Jordan Chandler and Gavin Arvizo agree to speak.

Leaving Neverland continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 4, while Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.

Jason Priestley has paid tribute to his ‘dear friend’ and Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Luke Perry in an emotional Instagram post.

Luke died on Monday at the age of 52, days after suffering a massive stroke.

Friends, family and fans of the actor have paid tribute to the late actor, including his son Jack and his daughter Sophie, and the cast of Riverdale, on which he played Fred Andrews.

Now, his 90210 co-star Jason has spoken out, admitting that it took him a while to figure out what to say.

Jason, who played Brandon Walsh opposite Luke’s Dylan McKay on the teen show, wrote: ‘It’s taken me a couple of days to figure out how to write this… My dear friend of 29 years, Luke Perry, was one of those truly special people who really cared… Luke was not only a star, he was an incredibly bright light that was extinguished far too soon… and that is why I, and so many others, are in so much pain today…

‘If you had the good fortune to know Luke, or to have ever crossed his path, I know you are sad today as well… the candle that burns twice as bright only burns for half as long… you burned oh, so brightly Luke… Goodnight Sweet Prince.’

The 49-year-old shared two pictures – one of him and Luke in their 90210 days, and a more recent snap of them hugging.

Priestley’s tribute comes after Shannen Doherty, who played Dylan’s girlfriend Brenda on the 90s classic, also shared her heartbreak at Perry’s death.

Sharing a number of pictures with Luke, Shannen wrote: ‘Yesterday morning I got a phone call that devastated me. I’m struggling with this loss and am having a hard time with my thoughts.

‘But, my heart goes out to his family and friends who were blessed by his light in their (and mine) lives. Processing this is impossible right now.’

Fox is rebooting the OG Beverly Hills: 90210, however, while many of the show’s stars has signed on for the reunion it was understood Luke had not – reportedly due to his role on Riverdale.

A source told Entertainment Tonight: ’At this time, due to his current deal with Riverdale, Luke Perry could only guest star on a potential 90210 reboot, and could not be a series regular.’

Returning cast members include Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, and Tori Spelling with both Luke – who starred on the show from 1999-2000 – and Shannon Doherty missing from the fresh lineup.
