Luke Perry’s daughter Sophie has hit back at online trolls criticising her over her ‘grieving process’, following the death of the Riverdale star.
Luke passed away in hospital, aged 52, following a stroke, leaving behind daughter Sophie, 18, and son Jack, 21, from his previous marriage to ex-wife Rachel Sharp.
Sophie shared a selfie and lengthy message aimed at trolls ‘shaming her over her grieving process’.
She wrote: ‘Since my dad died I have received a lot of attention online. And most of it has been positive but of course, some people just can’t be nice.
‘I did not ask for this attention, I did not ask to be thrown into some virtual spotlight, and while I don’t mean to offend anybody, I’m also not going to cater to any one else’s needs and beliefs.
‘I’m 18. I swear like a sailor and sometimes I dress like a hooker. And I support causes and you may not. And most importantly. I am going to laugh and smile and live my normal life.
‘YES I am hurt and sad and crying and beside myself with what happened to my dad. It’s the worst thing to ever happen in my life.
Sophie continued: ‘I am torn the f**k up over it. But I’m not going to sit in my room and cry day in and day out until the internet has deemed it appropriate for me to do otherwise.
‘And if you knew my dad you would know he wouldn’t want me to. So you shouldn’t either.

‘So to those of you shaming me for my language and my wardrobe and most disgustingly, my grieving process, do us both the favour and just unfollow. It’s a waste of both of your time.’
Luke shot to fame as Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills, 90210 in the ’90s and is also known for starring in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He was most recently seen in The CW series Riverdale as Fred Andrews – Archie’s dad.

R Kelly is ‘working on new music’ to distract him from his ongoing legal battles (Picture: Getty Images)
R Kelly has reportedly thrown himself into producing new music in an attempt to ‘distract himself’ from his ongoing legal battles.
Kelly was arrested and detained in jail for failing to pay child support, allegedly owing more than eight months in payments for his three children, which hadn’t been paid to his ex-wife Andrea.
The Ignition singer was released after posting $100k of his $1million bail – allegedly paid for by a 47-year-old Chicago business owner.
TMZ reports that Kelly is now turning his attentions to making new music as a form of therapy.

A source told the publication the writing process if offering a distraction from his current legal battles and those close to Kelly are concerned if he ‘stops working on new music’ he could ‘suffer a breakdown’.
They added that the music ‘isn’t for public consumption’.
Metro.co.uk have reached out to Kelly’s rep.
Speaking about Kelly’s arrest over failing to pay child support, his lawyer Steve Greenberg said: ‘I don’t think he ever should have gone into custody for [not paying child support]. He’s not some deadbeat dad. He fell a little bit behind. That occurred in a matter of months.’
Still facing the sexual abuse charges, Kelly has denied all allegations against him.
He claimed that he would be ‘stupid’ to have engaged in such allegations, given his past sexual abuse cases that he was not convicted for.
He said: ‘People are going back to my past… they are trying to add all of this stuff now to that, to make all of this stuff going on feel real to people. Whether they’re old rumours, new rumours, future rumours, they’re not true.’
‘Use your common sense, forget how you feel about me, hate me if you want to, love me if you want to… how stupid would it be for my crazy past and what I’ve been through,’ he said.
‘Stop it, y’all quit playing. I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me. I’m fighting for my f**king life.’

Bradley Cooper and Freddie Prince Jr. stepped out together in LA and now we’re all hoping for a collaboration (Picture: BACKGRID)
Bradley Cooper has got us crossing everything physically possible that he’ll be joining forces with Freddie Prinze Jr. for a new project.
The A Star Is Born director looked pretty smug with himself as he was seen heading back to his car after grabbing breakfast with Freddie in Los Angeles.
Bradley was dressed down in a green bomber jacket and baseball cap, while Freddie followed suit in jeans and a navy hoodie.
The actors looked pretty deep in discussion as they were spotted out in Brentwood and their appearance has left us all itching to know exactly what they were talking about over their scrambled eggs and toast – or whatever it was they chose to chow down on.
Here’s hoping they’re teaming up together for a new film – something with Bradley and Freddie at the helm is bound to be a hit, no?

They could just be two pals grabbing brunch, of course, but can you blame us for wanting more?
Bradley’s had a busy couple of months, thanks to awards season, with his movie A Star Is Born picking up a few accolades including an Academy Award for Best Original Song with Shallow – the duet he sings with Lady Gaga.
A little far-fetched given Bradley’s girlfriend Irina Shayk was sat in the front row watching him.
Gaga herself shot down such talk and said if you thought her and Bradley were in love while watching them on stage, well, that’s because they wanted you to. Duh.
‘People saw love and, guess what, that’s what we wanted to you to see. This is a love song. The movie, A Star Is Born, it’s a love story,’ she said on Jimmy Kimmel, branding social media ‘the toilet of the internet’.
‘From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time. When you’re singing love songs, that’s how you want people to feel.
‘I’m an artist! I guess we did a good job. Fooled ya!’

Empire’s cast and crew are reportedly concerned about the show’s future (Picture: Getty Images)
The cast and crew of Empire are reportedly concerned over the future of the show, as it still hasn’t been renewed by Fox.
Empire has been making headlines in recent months, thanks to the ongoing investigation into Jussie Smollett – who plays Jamal Lyon in the series – being attacked in Chicago at the end of January.
Jussie was attacked by two masked men and the incident was initially treated as a hate crime by authorities, as he claimed he suffered racial and homophobic abuse during the ordeal.
Two men were questioned and released over the attack and Jussie was later charged and arrested for filing a false police report. He has been accused of ‘orchestrating’ the attack – allegations he has continuously denied.
TMZ reports that Empire cast and crew are now growing concerned over the show’s future amid the ongoing case involving in Jussie – especially as the show is yet to be picked up for a sixth season.
Jussie is facing 16 charges for filing a false police report (Picture: Chicago Police Department via Getty Images)
A source claims to the publication that ‘anxiety is high’ among the cast and crew, as they expected to hear news of the show being renewed by now.
The insider added that cast and crew feel Jussie’s case will be ‘a big factor’ in whether or not the show gets picked up again and there are ‘serious reservations’ about having the actor return.
The statement read: ‘The fact of an indictment was not unexpected. We knew that there is no way they would expose their evidence to a public airing and subject their witnesses to cross-examination.
‘What is unexpected, however, is the prosecutorial overkill in charging 16 separate counts against Jussie.’
It continued: ‘This redundant and vindictive indictment is nothing more than a desperate attempt to make headlines in order to distract from the internal investigation launched to investigate the outrageous leaking of false information by the Chicago Police Department and the shameless and illegal invasion of Jussie’s privacy in tampering with his medical records.
‘Jussie adamantly maintains his innocence even if law enforcement has robbed him of that presumption.’

Amber Heard says her parents struggled to deal with her coming out (Picture: Getty Images)
Amber Heard says her parents struggled to accept her sexuality when she first came out to them.
The 32-year-old actress has openly spoke about being bisexual – publicly coming out in 2010 – and has had relationships with both men and women play out in the public eye.
Speaking at the Making Change On and Off the Screen panel at SXSW, Amber revealed her parents were in ‘tears’ when she first opened up to them about her sexuality.
She said: ‘I was raised in a religious home. Being an outspoken lesbian, atheist, vegetarian, I remember when I told them about my relationship – that I was in love with this woman – and at the beginning of that, it was just tears… tears.’
‘They didn’t know how to process it because, for them, it was being thrown into a binary system of processing it,’ she said. ‘[It was either] negative or positive.’

Heard explained that five years later her parents’ ‘attitude and heart’ towards her sexuality changed.
‘Five years later, I was getting an award. I asked my parents to drive out to Dallas and I see them sitting front and centre and here I am getting this “gay” award.
‘Look at the journey. Attitudes and hearts can change.’
Amber was previously in a relationship with ex-girlfriend Tasya van Ree for four years. They split in 2012 and three years later, she married ex-husband Johnny Depp.
Heard filed for divorce in 2016 and obtained a temporary restraining order against Depp five days after, alleging that the Hollywood star had been verbally and physically abusive towards her.
Amber and Johnny came to a settlement and the restraining order was dismissed.

Depp wasn’t specifically mentioned in the Washington Post piece, but the actor’s legal team claimed the article’s implication was that Depp ‘perpetrated domestic violence against her’ – allegations he ‘categorically’ denies.
Heard’s lawyer responded to Depp’s legal action with a statement that read: ‘This frivolous action is just the latest of Johnny Depp’s repeated efforts to silence Amber Heard. She will not be silenced.
‘Mr. Depp’s actions prove he is unable to accept the truth of his ongoing abusive behaviour.
‘But while he appears hell-bent on achieving self-destruction, we will prevail in defeating this groundless lawsuit and ending the continued vile harassment of my client by Mr. Depp and his legal team.’

She’s campaigning for ‘real systemic change’ and has been fighting on the behalf of prisoners she thinks have been dealt with ‘unfairly’ harsh sentencing.
In Johnson’s case she had been serving life without parole for a first-time drug offence and Kim hired lawyers to fight for Johnson’s release, after going to Trump directly and asking him to grant Alice clemency.
But, he’s not the only prisoner Kim is helping as TMZ reports she has decided to pay Matthew Charles’ rent following his release.

New prison reform laws saw Charles released after serving 20 years of his 35-year sentence for non-violent drug and weapons charges.
Kim reportedly reached out to Charles and offered to help pay his rent and find him a ‘stable place to live’.
Us Weekly reports that Charles is planning on saving to be able to buy a home of his own while Kim takes care of his rent for the next few years.
Charles himself has thanked Kim on Facebook, saying: ‘I just received the most wonderful news tonight that I just had to share with everyone.
‘Kim Kardashian-West heard about my situation, was moved and has decided to help me. And to me in the most unbelievable way.
‘Kim did not do this for attention or publicity, but I had to share it, because it’s [too] good not to, and my heart is about to burst with happiness, that I wish you to rejoice in this news with me.’

R Kelly’s ex-wife has said he is ‘making their children suffer’ by not paying his child support (Picture: Backgrid/EPA)
R Kelly’s ex wife Andrea has said the singer is ‘making their children suffer’ by withholding his child support payments.
Kelly was arrested and detained in custody for failing to pay child support, allegedly owing more than eight months in payments for his three children, which hadn’t been paid to his ex-wife Andrea (also known as Drea).
Calling out Kelly for not sticking to his scheduled payments, Drea accused the Ignition hit-maker of ‘making their three children suffer by punishing her’ in an interview with People magazine.
Drea and Kelly are parents to 21-year-old daughter Joann and two sons Jay, 19, and Robert Kelly Junior, 17.

She said: ‘Abusing a woman financially, at the end of the day, there’s no landlord that’s gonna say, “Well, you know what Ms Kelly? We’re gonna put you out but the kids can stay.”
‘There’s no electric company that says, “We’re just gonna turn the electricity off in your room, but we’ll leave the electricity on for the rest of the house,” so by trying to punish me, your children suffer.’
Commenting on the charges, Drea added: ‘Whether the allegations are true or not… you’re still somebody’s father and you still have three people that you need to answer to, whether you like it or not, because they’re directly affected by your actions.’

Kelly has denied all allegations against him. His lawyer Steve Greenberg told People he couldn’t comment on Drea’s claims due to the order of the court, but denied Kelly is a ‘deadbeat dad’.
Greenberg said: ‘I don’t think he ever should have gone into custody for [not paying child support]. He’s not some deadbeat dad. He fell a little bit behind. That occurred in a matter of months.’
Following his release from prison, The Hollywood Reporter claims Kelly was heard telling reporters: ‘I promise you, we’re going to straighten all this stuff out.’
Kelly broke his silence on the sexual abuse charges he faces in an interview with Gayle King on CBS’ This Morning.
He told King he was ‘tired of all the lies’, while protesting his innocence.

Wade Robson has been targeted by fake accounts posing as him on Twitter (Picture: HBO)
Wade Robson has been targeted by a number of fraud Twitter accounts, following Leaving Neverland airing in the UK and the US.
Robson appears alongside James Safechuck in the HBO documentary and both accuse Michael Jackson of sexually abusing them when they were children.
Leaving Neverland interviews both men and their families and left viewers ‘disturbed and uncomfortable’ after exploring their claims in graphic detail.
Michael Jackson fans have shown their support for the singer and branded the documentary ‘one-sided’. Both the singer’s estate and his family have said the claims shown in Leaving Neverland are ‘not true’ and accused Robson and Safechuck of ‘trying to make money’ from Jackson.
TMZ reports that Robson has now had fake Twitter accounts made in his name, with one account (@WadeRCreations) prompting an angry response from Aaron Carter.
(Picture: Twitter)
The account responded to another user calling Wade a ‘liar’ and posing as him tweeted back: ‘I’m not alone, you ask @aaroncarter.’
It has now been removed – Robson’s lawyer said the accounts are posing as the choreographer and are fake.
Aaron was understandably not happy to have his name dragged into the conversation. The I Want Candy singer was friends with Michael when he was a teenager and has remained supportive to the late star.
He tweeted: ‘WADE ROBSON DONT DRAG MY NAME INTO SH*T!!! YOU DONT WANT THIS KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH YOU STARTED THIS SH*T.’
Speaking to TMZ, Aaron said he ‘idolised Michael’, who would give him advice back when he was 15 years old.

He accused Robson of ‘stomping on an icon and a legend’s grave’ by taking part in Leaving Neverland, after seeing the tweets allegedly posted by Wade.
Aaron said he was ‘disappointed’ in Robson, telling the publication: ‘You’re trying to tie my name into this sh*t? At Aaron Carter? I’m not that guy… you’re lucky I’ve got something to lose now.
‘I would punch you in the face. Maybe I’d ask you if you’re telling the truth, but I’d punch you in the face first.’
He said he couldn’t understand Robson’s claims against MJ, adding: ‘How am I supposed to understand that when my own experience of him was gentle and beautiful and loving?’
Robson’s lawyer responded to Aaron’s comments and told TMZ that the tweet taking aim at him was ‘not posted by Wade.
They claim Robson has been targeted by ‘several fraudulent postings and hackings’ since Leaving Neverland was broadcast on TV.
Metro.co.uk have reached out to reps for Aaron and Robson.

Brandi dated Wade as a teenager – their romance has been used by the Jackson estate as proof the allegations against Michael are not true – and has now insisted that Wade’s narrative has ‘changed’ over the past two decades.
‘When I was watching [Leaving Neverland], I was completely sickened by it, to be honest with you. The things that he was saying were so over the top and so ridiculous,’ she said.
‘[Wade] was not describing my uncle. He was describing a totally different person, but not my uncle. And that’s why this is a narrative that has changed… over the last 15 years. Everything that he’s ever said about my uncle is the complete opposite of who he was painting in this documentary.’
Speaking on The Kyle And Jackie O Show in Australia, Brandi added: ‘Part of what I have to say to that is, with Wade saying that he was afraid [he and Michael] would go to jail [if he revealed the abuse], Wade was a grown man when he testified the second time.
‘And if someone had been anally penetrating you and anally abusing you when you were 14 years old, and you had a chance to go on the stand and put that man away for the rest of his life so that he couldn’t hurt anyone else, you’d do it. You would.
‘I can understand when he was a child if he was too afraid to do such a thing, that makes sense. But as a grown man, it doesn’t,’ she said, adding that she has not spoken to Wade since the documentary was released.’
She has also alleged that the documentary and ensuing media coverage has been ‘hard’ on his three children, Michael, 22, Paris, 20, and 17-year-old Prince.
‘They don’t remember these things from 2005, they didn’t have to go through it in that way,’ she said.
‘So I think that this is their first wave of having to deal with this. And I feel very bad for them. Especially since [Michael is] not here to talk them through it and to explain to them what this is about.’
Michael Jackson and Wade Robson (Picture: Channel 4)
In 2005 Jackson was found not guilty after going on trial for the alleged molestation of Gavin Arvizo.
In the documentary, Safechuck and Robson recount their stories, claiming they were molested by the so-called King of Pop as young kids.
Michael Jackson and James Safechuck (Picture: Channel 4)
The documentary also features interviews with Robson’s mother, Joy, his siblings Shane and Chantal, and his wife Amanda, along with Safechuck’s mother Stephanie and his wife Laura.
The first part of the documentary covers how Safechuck and Robson met Jackson, with the former claiming the father-of-three taught him how to masturbate while in Paris on tour.
Speaking about the incident, he said: ‘I have no unpleasant memories of it. You felt like you were bonding. That tour was the start of a sexual, couple relationship.’
Robson alleged his sexual abuse began when he was left alone at Neverland with the singer, claiming superstar began touching his penis, before he began to perform oral sex.

Piers Morgan has slammed actress Alyssa Milano for a tweet in which she declared herself ‘a trans person’ and also a ‘person of colour’.
In celebration of International Women’s Day last Friday, Alyssa, 46, shared a tweet addressed to her ‘transgender sisters’ before saying she is ‘everything’ when someone questioned whether she herself was transgender person.
Alyssa then added: ‘I’m trans. I’m a person of color. I’m an immigrant. I’m a lesbian. I’m a gay man. I’m the disabled.
‘I’m everything. And so are you, Kirk.
I’m trans. I’m a person of color. I’m an immigrant. I’m a lesbian. I’m a gay man. I’m the disabled.
I’m everything. And so are you, Kirk.

‘Don’t be afraid of what you don’t know or understand. No one wants to hurt you. We are all just looking for our happily ever after.’
Unsurprisingly, Piers had something to say about Alyssa’s all-inclusive tweet on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain.
The TV presenter said: ‘She’s a “woke” actress. She’s the type that wakes up in the morning and doesn’t stop screaming about Trump and doesn’t stop screaming for the next 12 hours until she goes to bed.
‘She’s obviously morally superior to all of us. She wants to attach herself to every known possible group of people out there who may need her patronising support.’
Alyssa apologised after the backlash (Picture: Getty Images)
After reading out her tweet in a mock voice, Piers added: ‘You’re not trans, a person of colour, you’re not so actually you’re none of those things.
‘Don’t listen to her because she’s suffering from TDS – Trump Derangement Syndrome – which has sent so many of these liberal actors completely barking mad. What is the matter with them? Imagine tweeting that? “I’m trans”.’
In typical petty fashion, Piers said: ‘If you can self-identify then we can all be anything. So I therefore identify as a hippopotamus, does that make me a hippopotamus? No.’
Alyssa seemed somewhat unaffected by the criticism but later tweeted an apology, telling her followers: ‘I’m glad this tweet invoked conversation. I’m so sorry it offended some.
‘I see you and hear you. But just a reminder, empathy is not a bad thing. Nuance is important and literal interpretation is not always intended. And I can identify with and not identify as. Both are powerful.’

Fleabag fans were loving Fiona Shaw’s addition to the cast (Picture: Twitter/BBC)
Fleabag is back with its second season and episode two brought with it yet another Killing Eve crossover, thanks to Fiona Shaw’s appearance.
Fiona had starred in Killing Eve as Carolyn Martens, the head of MI6’s Russian section. Phoebe Waller-Bridge wrote Killing Eve.
Phoebe stars as Kate (Fleabag) in Fleabag and created the series. Fiona now stars in Fleabag as Kate’s counsellor. You get where we’re going with this…
Anyway, the connection to Killing Eve wasn’t lost on fans and they loved seeing Fiona and Phoebe on screen together.
Fans have been waiting three years for Phoebe’s titular character to make a comeback and back in the grips of her dysfunctional family.
The first episode saw Fleabag endure an uncomfortable dinner as part of her Godmother and Dad’s engagement celebrations, while episode two saw her start therapy.
But luckily, thanks to Fiona’s addition, it didn’t disappoint.
Loving every minute of Shaw as Fleabag’s therapist, viewers shared their thoughts on Twitter. They wrote: ‘#Fleabag Fiona Shaw. Sublime.
‘Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Fiona Shaw A DUO #Fleabag.
‘Fiona Shaw as a counsellor is everything I wanted and didn’t know I needed. #Fleabag.’
One fan tweeted: ‘How do make #Fleabag even better? Add some Fiona Shaw. That therapy scene encapsulated the whole show: funny, shocking and heart-wrenching.’
Another said: ‘Just when you think #Fleabag couldn’t get any more brilliant, up pops Fiona Shaw!’
(Picture: Twitter)
‘Fiona Shaw as a counsellor is everything I wanted and didn’t know I needed. #Fleabag,’ one viewer added.
Fleabag finally follows through on her dad’s suggestion to go and see a counsellor and jokes when asked why she’s sought out therapy: ‘I spent most of my adult life using sex to deflect from the screaming void inside my empty heart.’
No beating around the bush there, then.
Season two will see Fleabag battling it out with God, with the series’ synopsis teasing: ‘Fleabag is back for a second bite, and this time she is going toe to toe with the man upstairs.
‘In an unexpected twist of fate, our lost little rascal meets a Priest (Andrew Scott) who jolts her into seeing the world in a different way… with hope and faith at the core of Series 2, our heroine finds herself in the midst of a battle she is determined to win: Fleabag Vs God.’
Fleabag is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Jordyn is slowly returning to the public eye (Picture: Getty; Jordyn Woods/Instagram)
Jordyn Woods returned to social media this week with a subliminal message about love following the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal.
The 21-year-old model is clearly a fan of Drake’s new song with rising R&B singer Summer Walker, titled Girls Need Love, judging by her latest Instagram Story.
In a now-deleted photo, Jordyn shared an atmospheric photo of a candle with a sticker featuring the Girls Need Love song title and Summer Walker’s name, evidently sent to her by the singer.
However, the photo remained in Jordyn’s Instagram Stories for around 45 minutes before it was mysteriously removed.
While Jordyn was supporting Summer’s new track, the subliminal message speaks volumes.

Girls Need Love sees the young singer share her desire for affection with lyrics including: ‘I just need it now, better swing my way/ I just need some dick, I just need some love/ Tired of fucking with these lame n****s, baby I just need a thug.’
The revelation prompted Khloe Kardashian to dump Tristan after three years together, while it’s believed Jordyn’s friendship with Khloe’s sister Kylie Jenner is strained following the controversy.
While Khloe is focusing on raising her 11-month-old daughter True, Tristan appears to have moved on after being pictured with model Karizma Ramirez.
Jordyn shared her first Instagram post since the drama over the weekend, writing alongside two selfies: ‘If you’re reading this.. it means God has given you another day to wake up and be grateful & better than you were yesterday.’

James has said he’s done playing randy teen Jay (Picture: Getty)
Bad news Inbetweeners fans – James Buckley has ruined any thoughts that the show could ever make a proper comeback, and you can thank that disastrous reunion special.
The actor, who played everyone’s horniest fwend Jay in the E4 favourite, revealed that the gang now have no plans to ever have a proper get together for a new series or even as a one-off.
Speaking on Heart Radio, he said: ‘At the moment I wouldn’t want to go anywhere near it. I’m not sure we would be able to do it good enough.
‘It’s difficult to come up with reasons why we shouldn’t do anymore, we all love each other we all get on really well. It’s the best job in the world. We get paid really well to do it.
‘All we do is turn up and make each other laugh all day long and they sort of make a TV show around us.’
The disaster of the reunion special has put James off creating more around the four boys (Picture: Channel 4)
James’s comments come after the cast – completed by Simon Bird, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas – were caught up in a disastrous reunion special that was universally panned.
After Emily Atack, fresh from her stint in I’m a Celebrity, was axed at the last minute from her appearance (reportedly due to a past fling with James that could’ve come out), the Jimmy Carr hosted one-off was slammed by crewmembers and fans alike.
Even James admitted following the episode that he ‘didn’t know what was going on’ in a discussion after the fallout, and speaking about it again on Heart, he admitted the comeback was probably a mistake.
‘We are all so stubborn. It was maybe a mistake doing that reunion,’ James said of the show, which was celebrating the 10th anniversary of Inbetweeners first airing.
‘I think especially after the reunion, me personally, I don’t want to ruin The Inbetweeners anymore.’
To be fair to him, the horny teenager he played ten years ago couldn’t be further from who he is these days – happily settled down with wife Clair and their two children.

However, Ola and Abel Osundairo’s attorney, Gloria Schmidt, appeared on Good Morning America on Monday and claimed that although the brothers were helping Jussie to get fit for an upcoming music video, the payment was also a ‘favour to stage the attack’.
‘They were training together so they were paid for that, but they were also asked to do this favour for them, unbeknownst to them, as it turned out to be a big betrayal for them,’ she said.
‘It would be such an easy narrative to see it that way, but it’s unfortunately a complicated relationship,’ she added when asked if the payment was purely for the training and not the attack.
‘If you’re friends and you’re saying “hey I want to pay you for training but I am also asking you to do me a favour”… and the favour was to stage the attack.’

She later clarified her comments in a statement and said that ‘to say the check for $3,500 was just for the incident is not a full representation of what transpired’.
‘My clients had an agreement to provide personal training services to Mr. Smollett. To say the check (sic) was also intended for a favor beyond the training is an accurate statement.’

Jussie was allegedly attacked by two masked men in Chicago, with reports stating his attackers had ‘beaten him up, put a noose around his neck and poured bleach over him’.
The actor received treatment following the attack and had reported the incident to Chicago Police, with the authorities treating it as a ‘hate crime’ after his attackers allegedly hurled racist and homophobic slurs at Jussie throughout.
However, after the two men arrested over the attack were released, Jussie was arrested.
While each charge doesn’t potentially mean additional time in prison, each charge does carry a maximum probation sentence of four years; he’s now potentially facing a maximum of three years in prison, a $25,000 fine and 60 years probation.

J-Lo and A-Rod are in absolute bliss right now (Picture: Splash News, Instagram, Alex Rodriguez)
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez found the perfect way to relax in the Bahamas after celebrating their exciting engagement.
Following Alex’s weekend proposal to J-Lo on their exotic holiday, the happy couple wound down with a quiet game of golf on Monday.
In a series of Boomerangs on his Instagram, Alex is seen taking the first swing as his new fiancee watches on, before Jennifer takes her turn.
The retired MLB player is then seen posing at their resort with the stunning backdrop of the ocean and palm trees behind him with the caption: ‘Out of office.’
Ah, must be nice.
The couple are currently enjoying a holiday in Baker’s Bay to celebrate their two-year anniversary.

Alex, 43, proposed to Jennifer, 49, on Saturday night with a jaw-dropping diamond ring estimated to be worth $1 million (£755,500) and 20 carats.
According to People, Alex clearly knows Jennifer’s taste very well as he reportedly didn’t need much help when it came to choosing her engagement ring.
Judging by the mammoth size of the rock, clearly Alex’s only design request was: ‘The largest one.’
A source told the publication of the romantic proposal: ‘He did everything on his own with the ring. It was a complete surprise [to Jen].
‘Jennifer is ecstatic and so are their families and friends. Very few people knew Alex planned on proposing. It was very much a surprise for Jennifer. It was just how Alex wanted it.’
While the couple are miles away basking in their newly-engaged bliss, their relationship has been plagued by cheating rumours back at home.
Former MLB star Jose Canseco claims Alex is cheating on J-Lo with his ex- wife, Jessica.
Canesco tweeted: ‘Watching World of Dance watching J.Lo text Alex Rodriguez little does she know that he is cheating on her with my ex-wife Jessica poor girl she has no idea who he really is.’

Jessica’s suffering under the hands of Kilgrave is officially over (Picture: Netflix)
Sad news, folks – looks like Jessica Jones isn’t going to have one last run-in with Kilgrave after all.
David Tennant confirmed that the third and final season of Jessica Jones on Netflix will not feature his iconic purple-suited villain.
Speaking at the launch of his new series Good Omens at SXSW festival last weekend, David said his time with Krysten Ritter’s Jessica is completely over with.
The evil Kilgrave forced a relationship on Jessica and tormented her when she got away (Picture: Netflix)
Which is pretty sad, considering Jessica is the last Marvel man standing on Netflix, and even she’s about to get the chop too, after the streaming service dropped all shows connected to the comic brand.
However, the actor is looking on the bright side, and said: ‘I don’t really regard it as a cancellation so much as something having the life that it should have.
‘Three seasons of that story is great. Rather than thinking of it as something that was cancelled, I think of it as something that had three seasons that will live in the memory.’
Kilgrave featured most prominently in season one, with his super-ability to control those around him to do what he wills resulted in Jessica being forced into a relationship she wanted no part of.
After breaking free of his spell, she successfully ended him – but that didn’t stop her trauma coming back in the form of him across season two.
Season three is due to come out soon, and will possibly Jessica face her worst enemy yet – with someone close to her crossing over to the darker side of superhero life.
Jessica Jones seasons one and two are available now on Netflix.

‘She has to play charming comedy, flirt and social exhibitionist on the world stage, desperate and lonely self-harmer at her lowest ebb and the kind of psychological intensity of Mia Farrow in Rosemary’s Baby.
A source that creator Peter Morgan ‘is not going to hold back on how Diana impacted the Royal Family, just as he didn’t when he wrote The Queen. It could ruffle a few feathers.’
Rosemary’s Baby, released in 1968, follows a young mum who believes she is pregnant with the Devil’s child.
Princess Diana died in a car accident in 1997 at 31-years-old.
Olivia Colman and Tobias Menzies will play the Queen and Prince Philip (Picture: The Crown)
The Crown season three stars Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, taking over the role from Claire Foy in seasons one and two. She is joined by Helena Bonham-Carter as her sister Princess Margaret.
Colman will play the role for two seasons before the cast changes again to accurately portray the royals when they are older.
In the new series, the Queen’s life with Prince Charles will move even further into the public eye.
Her relationship with then Prime Minister Harold Wilson will also be at the centre of the story. One episode will include the Apollo 11 moon landing, and Prince Philip’s reaction to it, while others will feature the decolonisation of Africa and the Carribean and the birth of Prince Edward.
Prince Philip, played by Matt Smith in seasons one and two, will be played by Tobias Menzies.
Metro.co.uk has contacted Netflix for comment
The Crown season three will air on Netflix later this year

It’s been 15 years since we waved goodbye to Frasier (Picture: Rex Features/Shutterstock)
It’s been 15 years since Frasier Crane waved goodbye to Seattle, and 35 since we first met him stumbling into the local Boston haunt that would change his life in Cheers.
It’s not that surprising, there’s barely a reboot not on the offering as Hollywood struggles to pitch new ideas, but few rumblings of a renaissance have conjured quite as much excitement as the prospect of being reunited with the excruciatingly snooty, but undeniably lovable radio psychiatrist.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Kelsey Grammer confirmed stories are being pitched, the writing rooms have been booked, but ‘cheques haven’t been written,’ he grinned, which is fair: at Frasier’s peak he was paid an estimated $1.6million (£1.2million) per episode, making him the highest paid TV actor of all time.
The entire Frasier cats seem to be up for a reboot (Picture: Bei/REX/Shutterstock)
But the sitcom was far from a one man show, his father Martin (played by John Mahoney), erratic brother Niles (David Hyde Pierce), sister-in-law Daphne Moon (Jane Leeves), and the rebellious Roz Doyle (Peri Gilpin) made up the single most celebrated ensemble cast of all time (before Game of Thrones) with 37 Emmy wins and a further 71 nominations.
‘I’d want everybody back,’ Kelsey stressed, although following the death of John in 2018 there will always be something missing.
‘We would need to deal with that within the storytelling, but I’d want everybody back, if they want to come back.’ Which ‘they seem to’, thankfully.
After almost two decades, the possibilities behind Frasier’s return are almost limitless. His second carnation, after being promoted to what was arguably a supporting – albeit favourite – character in Cheers to his own spin-off, introduced us to an entirely new Frasier: bars which didn’t require a guest list were beneath him; he was newly divorced, and suddenly he was a single parent reluctantly caring for his own father.
While Kelsey didn’t necessarily pine for the sitcom’s return quite in the same way as its fan base, he ‘always thought of Frasier carrying on in some world’.
‘Whether he’s got six children and a wife in the islands somewhere, he needs to come back to probably resolve things with his son Frederick, which mirrors the show in the first place,’ explained Kelsey.
Frasier will address the death of John Mahoney (Picture: Kobal/REX/Shutterstock)
Perhaps he’ll finally be lucky in love. Then again, where would the fun be in that?
‘We did talk about it from year to year,’ smiled the 64-year-old. ‘All along we hoped Frasier would find someone equally funny and be in love with him, but it never really worked out. We planned the last relationship with Charlotte, who he left and went to Chicago to be with, but Frasier was always funny when he was out of love and falling in love. It was just a interesting dynamic which propelled us away from things working out.’
And to think, Kelsey almost missed out on playing the long-suffering therapist. Showrunners initially offered Frasier to Third Rock From The Sun and The Crown star John Lithgow, who turned the part down because it was ‘beneath him’. He later admitted Kesley turned the character ‘into an incredible phenomenon’.
‘I was the better choice,’ Kelsey chuckled, in his signature belly laugh. But he’s not wrong, and by his account it clearly seemed obvious to producers at the time.
‘My audition for Frasier was good,’ he began. ‘I read what we call sides, which was scenes for a script. I went to the Western building, which is actually now one of the Trump Towers, and read for Gretchen Rennell, and she said, “you have something.” And then she said, “you can’t show this to anyone; it’s top secret.”
‘I thought that was weird, some sort of corporate spying thing. Then one week later they flew me out to California to audition for it.’ And the rest was history.
Kelsey Grammar stars as Gore Bellows in Proven Innocent (Picture: Fox)
However, before there’s time to get excited for any Frasier reboot, there’s Proven Innocent which follows Madeline Scott (Rachelle Lefevre), a lawyer specialising in wrongful convictions, driven by her decade in prison for a crime she didn’t commit, thanks to the monstrous state attorney Gore Bellows, played by Kelsey. Yet the actor’s surprisingly defensive about his villain.
‘They call him a monster, a corrupt monster, but I think that’s just another character’s point of view,’ he insisted.
‘You can make your decisions as the series develops. There’s some really interesting plot twists that take place. And it’s fun, especially for the last two or three episodes. I can’t say more than that.’
You can decide for yourself when Proven Innocent comes to Universal TV at 9pm on March 18.

Angelina Jolie took her four youngest children to the premiere of Dumbo on Monday night because every Monday needs an uplifting tale of overcoming adversity.
The actress supported pal Colin Farrell at the premiere of Disney’s new live action adaptation of the 1941 classic story of the elephant born with ears that are too big but which allow him to fly.
She bought along 10-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, Shiloh, 12, and 14-year-old Zahara, while 17-year-old Pax and 15-year-old Maddox stayed at home.

The new Disney films stars Colin as Holt Farrier who is enlisted by circus owner Max Medici (played by Danny DeVito) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughing stoc.
But when Holt’s children – played by Thandie Newton’s daughter Nico Parker and newcomer Finley Hobbins – discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus finds itself in the clutches of persuasive entrepreneur V. A. Vandevere, played by Michael Keaton.

Knowing how the original film – which was Disney’s fourth animation ever – made us feel, we know Tim Burton’s take on the classic tale of the adorable flying elephant is going to have us assuming the fetal position, quickly sobbing and rocking back and forth.
In a recently released fresh scene, Dumbo is unveiled in the big top as the little one is instructed to fly around the circus, much to the amazement of punters gathered.
Evidently the work of Burton, everything is so vividly vaudevillian, from the costumes and set design to the cinematography.
Set for release next month, it joins the throng of live-action remakes currently making their way out of Disney’s stable, including the likes of Aladdin, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid.
Dumbo is out in cinemas on 29 March.
