Lori Loughlin says she ‘never pushes her kids’ in resurfaced interview amid investigation into college admissions scam

An interview has resurfaced of Lori Loughlin claiming ‘she never pushes her children’ and deeming it ‘unnecessary’.

You could say it’s awkward timing, as Fuller House star Lori has been named as one of the individuals charged in connection with alleged payments of up to $6 million used to get children into schools including Yale, Stanford, Georgetown and USC.

Both she and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were indicted for their alleged involvement in the nationwide college admissions scam that has now come to light.

Just Jared reports that Lori – who is mum to two daughters Olivia, 19, and Isabella, 20 – said she never ‘pushed her kids’ when it came to school in an interview with Page Six back in 2017.

She said: ‘You know, I don’t ever do, I never pushed my kids… I always say, “Do the best you can.” For my husband too, their dad, we were never like, “At school you got to get straight As,” we were never those parents.

‘We were always like, “You know what? Give it your all. Do the best you can because in life if you give it your all and you do the best you can, that’s it. That’s all you can do.”

‘And that’s enough, in my opinion, especially with kids. I think we’ve put so much pressure and stress on them. A lot of it is unnecessary.’

Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli allegedly agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 (£377,585) to get their two daughters onto the USC crew team

Reports suggest that even though they did not participate, it ‘facilitated their admission to USC’.

Lori is known for appearing on TV series Fuller House as Aunt Becky (Picture: WireImage)

Lori handed herself over to authorities on Wednesday following her return to Los Angeles from Vancouver. She has been granted a $1million release bond by a judge.

TMZ reports that the actress has been allowed to ‘put her house up as collateral’ to secure the bond.

It’s reported Loughlin has been granted permission to travel to Vancouver to continue her working commitments with the Hallmark Channel, but she is required to surrender her passport in December once her contracted work has come to an end.

Giannulli was arrested on Tuesday morning at the couple’s home – Lori wasn’t taken into custody as she had been working in Vancouver.

He was set the same bond and required to surrender his passport on his release.

They are expected to appear in court in Boston on 29 March, alongside Felicity Huffman who has also been named in the investigation.

Metro.co.uk have reached out to reps for both Lori and Felicity.

Instagram went down on Wednesday and Will Smith was just as devastated as the rest of us, apparently.

Pretty much the entire globe was affected by Instagram’s outage, with the social media platform going down, along with Facebook, for near-enough the whole day.

And while it may have been one of the longest days ever known to mankind (yes OK, we’re exaggerating), Will was pretty much all of us when he marked Instagram’s return with a celebratory dance.

The 50-year-old posted a video to his page of him twerking to Blueface’s track Thotiana and wrote: ‘Instagram: Back online. ⁣Me.’

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Will Smith (@willsmith) on

Fans obviously went wild for it and applauded Will for pretty much summing up how we all feel now we have been reunited with our one true love.

And some took it as an opportunity to bond over their experience of an Insta-free life, with one fan commenting: ‘The worst part of the IG shutdown is that not everyone was affected some of my friends could use theirs, so I felt like I was personally being punished.’

We feel you.

Fans recently saw Will in the new trailer for Aladdin’s live-action remake and were left impressed by his appearance as Genie.

Will is taking over the character – originally made famous by Robin Williams in the Disney classic – and faced some harsh critics, as people originally weren’t convinced with him being cast for the role.

But, a new trailer has dropped ahead of Aladdin’s release and people are finally coming round to Will’s Genie.

Fans shared their excitement over the movie on Twitter, with one saying: ‘I’ll be honest, after the teaser with Genie, I thought this new trailer would be worse. My opinion of this movie has changed COMPLETELY. Just goes to show, you cannot judge a book by it’s cover. If you watch this new trailer, you may look forward to this. I wanna watch this now.’

Will, meanwhile, has promised the live-action movie is ‘fire’.

He himself has said he has ‘big shoes to fill’ following on from Williams – previously admitting that he first found playing Genie ‘daunting’ in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Will said: ‘Whenever you’re doing things that are iconic, it’s always terrifying. The question is always: Where was there meat left on the bone? Robin didn’t leave a lot of meat on the bone with the character.’

Mark Ruffalo teases major Avengers: Endgame secrets after taking a lie detector test

Mark Ruffalo has hinted that Hulk and Black Widow hook up, there are secret clues in Avengers trailers no-one has figured out, and Hulk is a secret Skrull after being hooked up to a lie detector test.

And we all know that Mark is infamous for not being able to keep an Avengers secret – even getting fired for it.

Looks like Avengers: Endgame is going be an even wilder ride than imagined.

Is Hulk secretly a Skrull? (Picture: Marvel)

The Bruce Banner actor was hooked up to a lie detector to get some secrets out of him by Jimmy Fallon, and it was a smart move because Mark likes to run his mouth about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as discovered last year when it was discovered that he has revealed that ‘everyone dies’ at the end of Infinity War, well before the movie came out.

And he also accidentally livestreamed the first 10 minutes of Thor Ragnarok during a screening so it’s no wonder the Russo Brothers decided to publicly – and jokingly – fire him on Twitter.

After hooking Mark up, Jimmy asked a ‘few little Avengers questions’ such as ‘is Hulk secretly a shape-shifting alien known as a Skrull?’ to which Mark burst out laughing and insisted he couldn’t answer.

Cue the lie detector going wild.

‘Are there any hidden clues in the latest Avengers question that no one has figured out yet?’ was the second question, to which Mark replied: ‘Not that I am aware of.’

Turns out that is a lie.

And ‘do Bruce Banner and Black Widow finally get together romantically in the new movie?’ leading to Mark uncontrollably laughing and saying he couldn’t answer.

LIE.

In fact, the only questions in which he spoke the truth according to the test was when he admitted that Don Cheadle was sexier than him and that he loved his Hulk action figure and he had played with it.

Fair.

Avengers: Endgame is out in UK cinemas on 26 April.

Hugh Jackman is heading back to Broadway next year, after being cast in the revival of The Music Man.

It’s been confirmed that the 50-year-old actor will play the lead role in the show, Professor Harold Hill, and will make his debut in the classic musical in 2020.

And there’s no doubt that Jackman is going to absolutely nail it, as The Greatest Showman basically proves there’s nothing he cannot do. He’s a whizz when it comes to acting, singing and dancing – even doing all three at the same time.

Hugh confirmed the news on Twitter, posting a picture of a suitcase and trombone and telling his 13.3million followers: ‘The Music Man. Broadway. October 22, 2020. ⁦@MusicManBway⁩.’

(Picture: Twitter)

The Music Man debuted in 1957 and Hugh is actually no stranger to the musical.

Call it a coincidence, but he actually starred as Harold Hill many moons ago when he was still at school in Australia – before he became a huge Hollywood star and before everyone now thinks of him as either Wolverine, Jean Valjean or P.T Barnum.

Hugh said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly: ‘The first musical I was ever part of was the phenomenal The Music Man. The year was 1983, and I was at Knox Grammar School in Sydney, Australia. I was one of the traveling salesmen, and I think I can actually (almost) remember that unforgettable opening number!

‘That was probably the moment when the magic of theatre was born in me.’

Hugh is taking The Greatest Showman on tour and opened this year’s Brits with a performance (Picture: Getty Images)

Hugh continued: ‘The idea of bringing The Music Man back to Broadway has been lurking in the back of my brain for a long time, maybe even for 35 years.

‘When Scott Rudin called me with that very idea, I was floored. To finally be doing this is a huge thrill.’

Jackman has previously appeared on Broadway in The Boy from Oz (which he won a Tony Award for, no biggie), A Steady Rain, alongside Daniel Craig, and The River.

Until he makes his return, Hugh will be touring as he’s taking The Greatest Showman on the road this year.

And if his Greatest Showman performance at the Brits is anything to go by, it’s going to be pretty insane…

Harry Potter star Robbie Coltrane has been pictured for the first time since using a wheelchair.

The 68-year-old, who played the beloved Rubeus Hagrid in the blockbuster franchise, battles with osteoarthritis which has left him in crippling pain and unable to walk. Robbie’s now awaiting knee surgery in America to repair his joint that will hopefully relieve the pain.

Fans were thrilled to see Robbie out and about on Monday night, when he attended the launch of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike ride in Universal Orlando, hosted at London’s St Pancras Renaissance Hotel.

Robbie appeared to be in good spirits and addressed his health battle, saying that he’s ‘due a new knee’. He added that once the surgery’s complete, he’ll be ‘leaping around like an elf’.

A source told The Sun of Robbie’s osteoarthritis ordeal: ‘Robbie has been in constant pain for years now, with his knee constantly deteriorating.

‘He was wheeled in and out of the Harry Potter event on Monday which came as a big shock to fans given they’re so used to seeing him standing strong and tall as Hagrid.’

They added: ‘It’s hugely frustrating for him but he’s really hoping to be back on his feet after getting the operation.’

In 2016, Robbie appeared in Channel 4 drama National Treasure not long after he was diagnosed with osteoarthritis and later opened up about the ailment.

At the time, the Scottish actor revealed he was in ‘constant pain all day’ and an exploratory operation found he had no cartilage left in one of his knees.

He explained: ‘It’s completely disintegrated. And they told me it’s osteoarthritis.

‘People are probably wondering why I’m hobbling about in the way I am and that is why.’

Empire boss says it’s ‘too early’ to think about Jussie Smollett not being a part of the show

Doubts have been cast over Jussie Smollett’s future on Empire amid the ongoing investigation into his attack in Chicago, but show bosses have insisted it’s ‘too early’ for the series to rule out his return.

Jussie was attacked at the end of January by two masked men in an incident that was initially treated as a hate crime by authorities, as the actor claimed he endured racial and homophobic abuse throughout the ordeal.

Two men were questioned and released over the attack and Jussie is now facing 16 charges for filing a false police report in relation to the incident.

He has been accused of ‘orchestrating’ the attack – claims he has continuously denied.

There’s been speculation that as a result of the investigation, Jussie’s character, Jamal Lyons, in Empire could now be ‘recast or killed off’, but Empire boss Brett Mahoney has said it’s ‘too early’ for any decisions to be made.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Mahoney said: ‘It’s a matter of trusting the process and allowing the legal process to play out and see where it goes from there.

‘It’s too early to think about what we would have to do if we didn’t have Jussie… it’s too early to think about the show without him.’

Fox have confirmed that Jussie will not appear in the final two episodes of season five of Empire – a decision Mahoney says was a ‘very difficult’ one to make.

‘I think in terms of allowing the cast and crew to really get the work done without a great deal of disruption in terms of the day-to-day and the stress of the day-to-day, in addition, allowing Jussie the time to really deal with what he’s been confronted with and allow him the time to focus and prepare his case – this seems like the logical decision to make,’ he explained.

Mahoney added that the last few weeks have been an ’emotional rollercoaster’ on set and seemed to debunk any reports of tension among the cast, crew and Jussie.

TMZ reported that the Empire cast were ‘concerned’ over the show’s future as it is yet to be renewed for a sixth season and many have ‘serious reservations’ about Jussie returning.

Mahoney, however, insisted the furore around Jussie’s case has ‘brought everyone together’.

He said: ‘I don’t really see it as something that is dividing people, more like bringing people together, bringing the cast and crew together in terms of let’s get this done.’

Jussie was was originally charged with one Class 4 Felony charge for disorderly conduct for filing a false report, but that charge has now been applied 15 times over by Cook County grand jury, meaning he now faces 16 felony counts.

Each charge carries a maximum probation sentence of four years – meaning Jussie is now potentially facing a maximum of three years in prison, a $25,000 fine and 60 years probation.

Jussie’s attorney, Mark Geragos, has insisted the 36-year-old is ‘maintaining his innocence’ in light of the new charges.

Jussie is expected in court on 16 March.

Brie Larson and Captain Marvel praised by Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot

Gal Gadot has praised Brie Larson on the success of Captain Marvel, with a super sweet Instagram post that featured a cartoon drawing of their two superheroes locking arms in friendship.

The artwork, by 17-year-old artist Maxy, was shared by Gal on Instagram and included a message to Brie which read: ‘I’m so happy for you, sister.’

Gal starred as Wonder Woman in DC Comics’ 2017 film of the same name, while Brie has become Marvel’s first lead female superhero in Captain Marvel.

Some movie goers have been quick to compare the two movies, but Gal’s post proves that these two classy ladies only have love for each other – and with over 30 modern-day superhero flicks featuring male leads, we’re certain two female-led films will be able to cope together just fine.

Captain Marvel has smashed records at the box office, earning $455 million (£346 million) and scoring the biggest ever opening for a female-led film, but it definitely hasn’t had the smoothest journey to get there.

Trolls began flooding Rotten Romatoes with early negative reviews before it was even released, forcing the site to have to adjust its system to deal with the ‘uptick in non-constructive input, sometimes bordering on trolling’, while YouTube’s algorithm had to be changed to filter out the sheer amount of trolling videos.

The site changed Brie Larson’s name to appear as a news search term, ensuring that only trust-worthy sources appeared when you search for the film and pushing down first-person rants against Brie and the film.

Lori Loughlin’s Full House character confesses to ‘lying’ about children’s school admission forms amid real life college ‘scam’

A resurfaced episode of Full House shows Lori Loughlin’s character admitting to ‘lying’ about her children’s school admissions forms, just as the actress was arrested in relation to a college admissions scam in real life.

The 54-year-old actress handed herself into authorities on Wednesday in relation to an FBI investigation about parents allegedly making payments to schools such as Yale, Stanford, Georgetown and USC to ensure their children get in.

Desperate Housewives actress Felicity Huffman was also arrested in the case.

Now, a 1993 episode of Full House, titled Be True To Your Preschool, shows her character Becky Katsopolis discovering that her husband Jesse, played by John Stamos, had ‘embellished’ the application form to get their twin sons into a prestigious preschool.

Jesse falsely claimed that their sons, Nicholas and Alexander, were bilingual and played the bassoon, while adding that he was an ambassador.

He told his wife: ‘The most important thing in the world right now is their education. I’m their father – if I don’t lie for them, who will?’

Lori allegedly paid a bribe for her daughter Olivia’s education (Picture: FilmMagic)

Aunt Becky then confessed to the admissions director, saying: ‘Look, I have to be honest. He may have embellished – lied – a bit on our application.

The school teacher then sympathised: ‘It only shows you want what’s best for your boys.’

In a former episode of Desperate Housewives, Huffman’s character Lynette Scavo paid a bribe to her son’s rival baseball team and his coach to keep him on the team.

Lori was released on a $1 million (£751,365) bail on Wednesday hours after she she flew back to the States from Canada to turn herself in.

The TV star and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were indicted for their alleged involvement in the college admissions scam. Giannulli was arrested on Tuesday morning and later released after being set a $1million bond and forced to surrender his passport.

Loughlin and Mossimo allegedly agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 to get their two daughters onto the USC crew team.

Jenna Colman hints she will be recast in Victoria: ‘It will be hard to give it up’

Jenna Coleman says she could eventually be recast in Victoria (Picture: ITV)

Victoria star Jenna Coleman says she could eventually be recast.

As the monarch gets older, another actress may have to step in to play Victoria in her later years.

Coleman admitted that it would be difficult to let go of the role after so many years.

Speaking at a press event she said: ‘There’s going to come a point where I have to.

‘The idea I’ll be playing Victoria meeting Abdul is not really possible. But it’s going to be a hard thing to give over, especially as she gets older.

‘[Recasting] brings a lot of challenges and it’s hard as an actor – when you’ve taken it so far it’s hard to give it up.’

She also suggested actresses who could take over.

Jenna admits it would be hard to give the role to someone else (Picture: ITV)

Jenna said: ‘There’s lots of people. Helena Bonham Carter would be good, but she’s busy right now. Olivia Colman was so good in The Favourite but she’s busy too.’

Meanwhile her co-star Tom Hughes, who plays Prince Albert, added: ‘They may choose to [recast], I don’t know. I hope I am able to finish his story because we’re close to finishing his story, relatively.’

Tom Hughes plays Prince Albert (Picture: ITV)

However there likely won’t be a change up any time soon, as writer Daisy Goodwin explained that there is at least one more series with the current cast.

Daisy said: ‘In a way it’s the culmination of their story. And then? Who knows. Definitely at some point we’d have to re-cast. Right now, Jenna’s playing her real age which works brilliantly.

‘I think she could play ten years older and she very brilliantly did ten years younger [in series one] but I think 20 years older would be a stretch.

‘When actors have to spend another hour in makeup every morning, it’s no longer fun. We’ll see.’

Victoria series three will see the queen face pressure to leave London as a revolution is in the air. Her sister, who has been living in Germany, will also drop in for a visit.

Victoria returns 24 March on ITV

Eva Green rules out female James Bond and says 007 should always be a man

Eva Green has suggested that women should find their own action heroes as James Bond ‘should remain a man’.

‘I’m for women, but I really think James Bond should remain a man. It doesn’t make sense for him to be a woman,’ the former Bond girl said when asked on her thoughts on the call for the British spy to be recast with a female actor after Daniel Craig steps down.

‘Women can play different types of characters, be in action movies and be superheroes, but James Bond should always be a man and not be Jane Bond.’

Speaking to Vanity Fair as the premiere of Dumbo, she added: ‘There is history with the character that should continue. He should be played by a man.’

The decision on who will replace Craig as 007 is one that has had film fans and the movie biz talking for years, with Idris Elba, Richard Madden, James Norton, and Tom Hiddleston all at one point at the front of the race.

Richard, Tom and James have all been tipped to take over from Daniel (Picture: Rex)

Idris however shattered hopes that he’ll become the next Bond, suggesting that he’s not interested in the iconic role as he no longer wants to play characters that ‘define’ him.

The Luther actor has been connected to the role for the best part of around five years but Idris is yet to sign on that dotted line and it seems more unlikely than ever that Idris, 43, will become Bond as he’s dropped a major hint about why he’s hesitant to play the screen legend.

Idris is hesitant to play Bond (Picture: Getty)

Speaking to Event magazine, the British actor said: ‘Bond is one of the biggest franchises in the world, and for that reason, whoever ends up playing it, lives it.

‘You’re that character, and known as that character for many, many years. I’m creating characters now that can still live alongside Idris. Not ones that take over me and solely define me.’

Rami Malek, who just won the best actor Oscar, is reported to be close to signing a deal to play a villain in the next installment, Bond 25, which will star Craig as the spy for the final time.

Bond 25 is expected to arrive in cinemas on 8 April 2020.

Clayne Crawford will be returning to our TV screens for the first time since his unceremonious Lethal Weapon firing in Hulu anthology series, Into The Dark.

The actor was a the centre of a huge controversy surrounding Lethal Weapon, resulting in him being fired completely from the project, despite being leading man, Riggs.

However, in Into The Dark, Crawford will be taking on a more dramatic and less action-filled role, playing a struggling dad in episode They Come Knocking.

According to TVLine, the widowed dad will take his children on a road trip, where they encounter a number of ‘terrifying supernatural entities’.

Crawford has been laying low since last year after it was announced in May that his contract was not being renewed on Lethal Weapon.

The TV series reboot of the Mel Gibson 80s film classic, the actor starred as a livewire cop who is partnered with Damon Wayans’ Murtaugh.

However, their off-screen feuding soon caused problems, and Crawford was accused of being intimidating on set and during a stint in the director’s chair, put Wayans in a position to be hit in the head with shrapnel.

While he later apologised, blaming ‘dangerous work conditions’ for his outbursts, it wasn’t enough, and a few weeks later he was released from the show.

In August last year, he added that the scale of his anger outbursts were ‘blatant fucking lies’ and said he was forced to attend six weeks of anger management and attend set with an escort.

Instead of replacing his character in any way, the Lethal Weapon team instead decided to bring in a new and original character, with Seann William Scott taking on the new leading man role.

Into The Dark will air on Hulu in June.

thumbnail for post ID 8900433Michael Owen names the two favourites to win the Champions League

Barbra Streisand’s career as a film and music icon has spanned since the 1960s.

She’s won two Oscars, nine Golden Globes, ten Grammy Awards, five Emmy Awards, and a Special Tony Award, on top of the fact that she’s one of the best-selling musicians of all time.

As Billboard would have it, Streisand is the woman with the most number one albums to date, and she is the only recording artist ever to have had at least one number-one album in all of the last six decades.

If that doesn’t pique your interest in the fact that she’s coming to London, then frankly, nothing will.

Here’s everything you need to know about how and when you can get your hands on tickets to Streisand’s Hyde Park show…

When is Barbra Streisand playing Hyde Park?

Streisand is playing Hyde Park on Sunday 7 July 2019, as a part of the British Summer Time Hyde Park event.

Special guests are yet to be announced, as is the starting time of the show.

How to get tickets to Streisand’s Hyde Park show

Tickets for Streisand’s 2019 Hyde Park concert are going on sale today, Thursday 14 March at 9am.

Pre-sale windows have closed, so you’ll have to get tickets in the general sale if you don’t have any already.

You can purchase them from the likes of Ticketmaster and AXS.

Prices for tickets to Streisand’s show have yet to be released, but tickets for Celine Dion’s British Summer Time show are bound to be comparably priced.

Paul Hollywood ‘axed from BBC Good Food and replaced with ex-wife he cheated on’

Revenge is a dish best served cold – and that’s exactly what Paul Hollywood’s ex-wife Alex must be feeling now after replacing her former spouse on BBC Good Food.

Following their break-up, with Paul ending his 20-year marriage to start a relationship with 23-year-old Summer Monteys-Fullam, Alex is now relaunching her career as a fellow TV cook.

Which couldn’t be more perfect in timing for her close pal Mary Berry, who was in need of a co-host for BBC’s Good Food Show after falling out with Paul last year.

According to The Sun, Paul has been given the push from the series, and it’s been claimed that Alex will now take his place alongside Mary in future episodes.

‘To avoid any awkwardness with Paul, she’s more than happy to work with Alex and help boost her profile as a budding celebrity cook,’ a source told the paper.

Metro.co.uk have contacted reps for comment.

Before the break-up, they had briefly split in 2013 after he confessed to sleeping with Marcella Valladolid, his co-star in the US version of the Bake Off.

At the end of 2018, the TV cooking expert went public with Summer, and has now even splashed out on a fancy new farmhouse in order to start a home with her.

Alex later said she was hurt at his behaviour and decision to end the marriage, but wasn’t angry.

‘Paul and I had an ordinary marriage,’ she told to Prima Magazine. ‘It lasted 19 years with a hiccup in the middle and then an abrupt end. But I have a son and I had to be strong for him.

‘No one should underestimate how separation and divorce can hit you. I compare it to a moment where you’re driving along the motorway and then the next moment, something beyond your control happens and you’re driving in a completely wrong direction.’

‘You have to give yourself time to get your head round it,’ she added. ‘We all reflect differently and I went into automatic pilot to start with. I think I went through the same five stages of grief that a bereaved person does [denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance]. Being able to be weak is a strength too, and it’s okay to sit and have a cry.’

Ellie Goulding ‘planning to invite “rebel” Sarah Ferguson to her hen party’

Ellie Goulding is famously friends with the British royals so it comes as no surprise that the singer is thought to be planning to invite Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, to her hen party.

The pop star is said to be planning a night out in London with a host of showbiz pals and is considering inviting Fergie after meeting her through the Duchess’s daughter Princess Eugenie, with whom Ellie is also good friends.

‘Ellie knows Sarah can be wild when she gets going and is so much fun to be around,’ a source close to Ellie claimed.

‘After spending more time with Fergie, Ellie thinks she’ll be the life and soul of the party.’

Eugenie and Ellie have been pals for years, and through Eugenie Ellie became friends with Fergie (Picture: Getty)

But according to reports, not everyone is impressed with the guestlist with an insider telling The Sun that ‘some of her mates think it’s a bit weird that they’ll be hanging out with old Fergie at the bash but Ellie is sure she’ll be a hit with her guests’.

Ellie reportedly believes that Fergie is ‘a rebel and a strong female’ and that she will win over her pals.

The 32-year-old singer is engaged to businessman Casper Jopling, and was introduced via Eugenie, who worked with Casper’s father in New York.

Ellie attended Eugenie’s wedding to husband Jack Brooksbank last October, at Windsor Castle, and even got up to perform for the couple at the The Royal Lodge after-party; the close friends are often spotted out frequenting the Chiltern Firehouse, and Sarah and her other daughter Princess Beatrice have joined them from time to time.

The Love Me Like You Do hitmaker will be able to spend more time with her royal pals soon as after she gets married, she and Caspar will be moving to London permanently.

The couple got engaged last August, after 18 months of dating, and are planning to return to her home country after splitting their time between New York, where the art dealer works for Sotheby’s, and the British capital.

She said previously: ‘It’s too hard, him living there and me living here – too many flights. But for the first time the long-distance thing feels more OK because we know we’re gonna be together when we’re married.’

In December, Ellie said that other than the engagement ring – which is over 100 years old – they had no plans set in place for their wedding yet, but she admitted Caspar is the more ‘organised’ partner.

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Ellie for comment.

Status Quo’s Francis Rossi ‘ashamed’ of drink and drug abuse in brutally honest Good Morning Britain interview

Status Quo frontman Francis Rossi has opened up about his past drink and drug abuse, admitting he’s ‘ashamed’ of his hellraiser days.

The 69-year-old rocker appeared on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain to discuss his new book I Talk Too Much: My Autobiography, in which he speaks honestly about his wild antics in the midst of Status Quo’s heyday.

Speaking to hosts Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid, Rossi admitted: ‘The problem being for me, which is strange for society, was the alcohol led me to doing cocaine.

‘If I hadn’t have had alcohol, I wouldn’t have gone there. Alcohol does that thing to all of us and off I went.’

Exposing his vulnerability, Rossi continued: ‘It’s odd because yes, I wanted to be famous but there’s one side of me that’s jack the lad and full of it, and the other side of me that’s totally insecure and I’m always trying to get the person down the middle.

‘When I’m the person down the middle, I’m OK. Tricky, tough life but that’s everybody isn’t it.’

Francis regrets his hellraiser days (Picture: ITV)

Rossi also recalled Status Quo’s iconic Live Aid performance of Rockin’ All Over The World in 1985 and admitted: ‘The whole band were, I was drinking, I think.

‘The band weren’t getting on so well and [Bob] Geldof used that up-starter thing that he was at the time to force us all to do it. It wasn’t until we all saw the amount of media that we became aware of how important it was.

‘The sense of euphoria from the audience was quite unique and of course with us so-called rock stars, I said “oh, I can’t go on after them”. So Rick and I said, we’re on first, we’re finished and off we went.

‘No one realised what was going to happen that day.’

Rossi also revealed his biggest regrets of the past, sharing: ‘Regret is definitely that period of alcohol and cocaine, and probably walking out on my first daughter’s mother.’

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.

Khloe Kardashian only split with Tristan Thompson a couple of weeks ago, and it seems she is already moving on from their relationship.

It’s said that despite the NBA player celebrating his 28th birthday, the reality star failed to reach out to her former beau.

With all of the cheating claims emerging, we can’t blame Khlo for not being in the mood to party.

While chatting to Hollywood Life, a source revealed that the mother-of-one had not even attempted to reach out to the basketball player on his special day.

They told the publication: ‘Khloe Kardashian is still extremely hurt by Tristan’s behavior as a whole. Between having no interest in seeing True and his lack of respect towards her, she has zero intentions of reaching out to him on his birthday.

‘At this point, she’s not interested in a conversation. Khloe feels Tristan has shown her nothing but disrespect, and though she wishes him no ill will, she has no plans of reaching out.’

It’s said she didn’t reach out to him on his birthday (Picture: GC Images)

They added: ‘Tristan is busy traveling with his team this week, the Cleveland Cavs, and Khloe is in LA, so it’s not like they will even be in the same city, leaving very little chance of them being able to see one another anyways.’

Last year, Koko has smothered her social media in celebratory posts for her man, but there were no sign of well wishes this time around.

However, even though the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star might not have celebrated Tristan’s birthday, she is more than keen for him to get on board for when their baby daughter True turns one.

The only problem being – she doesn’t know how to include him.

Sources have told People magazine that Khloe is trying to ‘figure out’ a way both Tristan and her family can be involved with True’s first birthday.

They said: ‘Khloé is figuring out how to get Tristan involved [in True’s birthday]. She can’t see how he can be around her family at a party, though. Everyone is just too upset with him.’

The insider went on to add that Kim Kardashian is ‘beyond angry’ with the star, and even her hubby Kanye West wants nothing to do with him.

They continued: ‘Kim never trusted Tristan after he cheated on Khloe right before True was born.

‘Ever since, it’s been very difficult for Kim to even tolerate Tristan… [Now Kim] says she never even wants to see Tristan.

‘She feels there is no chance she will keep it together and not lose it on him.’

Metro.co.uk have reached out to both Khloe and Tristan’s reps for further comment.

K-pop star Jung Joon-young admits filming himself having sex with ‘10 women’: ‘I didn’t feel sense of guilt’

K-pop singer Jung Joon-young was pictured arriving at a police station on Thursday after admitting to filming himself having sex with around 10 women without their consent.

The 30-year-old singer was seen at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to be questioned by police in relation to the case.

In a statement released earlier in the day, Jung revealed he did film the intimate footage which he then shared with friends on a mobile messenger app. He has now quit the music industry as police launch their investigation.

Jung said: ‘I admit to all my crimes.

‘I filmed women without their consent and shared it in a chatroom, and while I was doing so I didn’t feel a great sense of guilt.’

The musician continued: ‘Throughout the rest of my life, I will repent on my immoral and illegal acts that constitute crimes.

‘I will faithfully cooperate with an investigation by police that will start on Thursday and I will readily accept whatever punishment is in store for me.’

The allegations emerged after South Korean broadcaster SBS reported that Jung had filmed the sex videos and posted them in a group chat between 2015 and 2016.

In 2016, one of Jung’s ex-girlfriends made an allegation that Jung had filmed their sexual encounter without her consent, however the complaint was later withdrawn.

Earlier this week, another K-pop star, Seungri, was charged with supplying prostitutes to potential business investors. It was during this investigation that police came across Jung’s intimate videos.

As a result of the charges, Seungri, 28, announced his retirement from the entertainment industry and said he is willing to cooperate with the police.

Seungri denies the allegations against him.

Warning: Article contains spoilers for Cheat episode three

Katherine Kelly wasn’t embarrassed by her masturbation scene in Cheat.

Episode one saw university lecturer Leah masturbate in the toilets while fantasising about one of her colleagues.

Kelly said performing the intimate scene wasn’t uncomfortable in any way because she used to sex scenes.

‘I have done sex scenes a lot before, I had my fair share of them in Mr Selfridge. I have had two children and after childbirth, you are not embarrassed by anything,’ the actress told The Sun.

Katherine added that ‘women masturbate as much as men’, and explained that it was a way for Leah to release her ‘frustrations’ surrounding her marriage.

Her comments come amid claims that the moment prompted 500,000 viewers to switch off, The Sun says.

According to Broadcast, the launch episode fetched 5million viewers, making it ITV’s second most-watched Monday night drama after Manhunt, starring Martin Clunes, in January which saw 6million tune in.

Katherine’s character is unhappily married to another lecturer Adam, with the couple trying for a baby.

But her world falls apart when Adam sexts with student Rose (Molly Windsor) and eventually sleeps with her.

The series has been spread across four nights with the final episode airing tonight.

Kelly stars opposite Molly Windsor in Cheat (Picture: ITV)

It follows Leah and Rose’s dangerous and ultimately fatal battle of wits after Leah accuses her student of cheating in an essay.

Wednesday’s episode saw Rose’s motivations come to light when Leah’s dad revealed Rose is actually his daughter from an affair years ago, making her Leah’s half-sister.

Mark Ruffalo finally addresses Noah Centineo comparisons: ‘He might be able to play my dad one day’

Mark Ruffalo has been regularly compared to the upcoming actor Noah Centineo in both his looks and his voice.

But despite the fandom surrounding the pair, it appears the Avengers star doesn’t quite see the similarities between them.

When chatting on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 51-year-old was quizzed about his views on being a Noah lookalike – and he couldn’t help but laugh.

Talking to the host, he joked: ‘I wish I was that good looking,’ before chuckling: ‘He might be able to play my dad one day!’

Jimmy was quick to tell him that they even sound alike, and played a short clip of the 22-year-old to the Hulk actor.

In disbelief, Mark grinned: ‘He’s way better looking than I was, yeah, are you kidding me?

‘I wish I looked like that, I swear to God.’

He said he wished he was ‘that good looking’ (Picture: Getty Images)

Teasing the A-lister even more, Fallon pulled up a picture of him when he was around 15-years-old and placed it next to a snap of Noah.

Mark pointed out his smile and laughed about how there were more braces than teeth in his mouth.

He then added: ‘I’d go swimming and sink to the bottom of the pool – I was supposed to have them on for five years, and I took them off a little early.’

‘With the pliers,’ he cringed as he laughed: ‘Sorry mum.’

The father-of-three will be starring in the upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Endgame, and the host of the show couldn’t help but push for spoilers.

Stopping himself in his tracks, Mark recalled the time he revealed the title of the next installment of the franchise and so attempted to stay tight lipped.

‘I got in a lot of trouble,’ he squirmed: ‘And you thought it was funny, next thing I know Joe Russo had fired me on Twitter.’

After appearing on the show in October last year, Mark had tweeted Jimmy saying: ‘I trust that you will cut my spoiler slip on the show tonight. That was “off the record” homey.

‘Please don’t get me in trouble with Marvel (Barry) again. DM me back. M.’

But Jimmy went and sent Avengers fans into meltdown when he replied: ‘Dude, it’s too late – already sent the final show to Burbank for air. Are you sure you’re gonna be in trouble? We could maybe bleep it out. What is “DM”?’

And after seeing this convo, the Russo Brothers chimed in: ‘Mark, you’re fired.’

The Big Bang Theory’s Penny was almost completely different and we would’ve hated her

Penny was almost a sassy party girl named Katie (Picture: Warner Bros/CBS)

The Big Bang Theory’s impending finale is making us all emotional and nostalgic for the series – so you can just imagine what it’s doing to Kaley Cuoco and the rest of the gang.

But it turns out that Kaley in particular was super lucky to land her role, seeing as she was initially turned down in favour of someone else.

Originally, the character of Penny was someone entirely different, called Katie, and if history records are to go by, really not that likeable.

Speaking to TV Insider, Kaley explained: ‘I didn’t get [the role of Katie] the first time around. I was too young, which I love saying because I don’t get to say that I’m too young anymore!

‘Then, a year later, I heard they were doing it again, and they brought me back in to read for Penny.’

CBS
Now we wouldn’t know how to improve on the near-perfect sitcom (Picture: CBS)

In the original version of the pilot, which was pitched to CBS in order to get a full-season run, Katie was played by actress Amanda Walsh.

However, the character itself was nowhere near as sweet and innocent as Penny was when she first arrived (and before she unleashed all the sass), in fact she sounds pretty damn unlikeable.

Peter Roth, Chief Content Officer of Warner Bros TV, explained: ‘It was not the actress [Amanda Walsh] but rather the conceit of the character.

‘Fortunately, Nina Tassler, then-president of CBS Entertainment, realized we had something very special and said, “Let’s do it again.”.’

In clips later leaked online, Katie was introduced to Sheldon and Leonard. arguing over the phone with her mother in the middle of the street and ends up crashing with them when they discover she has nowhere else to go.

She also met Gilda (an early version of Leonard’s on/off science partner and lover Leslie Winkle, who stakes her claim on the nerd and reveals plans (in front of him) to have his kids.

Threatened by Katie, Gilda asks her intentions, at which point the newcomer to the group declares ‘it’s never going to happen’.

In the final version, Penny moves in across the hall, and while some of her lines remain, her more harsh declarations are passed around the group.

Thankfully after the pilot fell flat they decided to shake things up, and Kaley was suddenly hired to play new character Penny. The rest as they say, is history.

Amanda Walsh later went on to star in Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, Lost Girl, and is due to appear in Into The Dark.

But 12 years later, the Big Bang is ending, and now we know the end date, it’s just seeming all too real.

The Big Bang Theory continues Thursdays on CBS in the US and E4 in the UK
