Laurence has reflected on his difficult divorce from Billie (Picture: David M. Benett/Dave Benett/Getty Images)
Laurence Fox has got really real about his divorce from Billie Piper – admitting it crippled his bank account.
The Lewis star began dating Billie, 36, back in 2006 when they were acting together in the play Treats, and they tied the knot on New Year’s Eve 2007, going on to have two sons together – Winston, 10, and Eugene, six.
Now, Laurence, 40, has called the divorce ‘horrendous’, and said the legal bills have depleted the money they had saved for their kids’ education.

Speaking to The Times, the Victoria actor said: ‘It was quite a drastic life change. Goodbye, money! Goodbye, wife! Argh!
‘But that which doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, doesn’t it? Obviously, you miss the large bank account, but that’s not everything in life.’
He said that ‘time, forgiveness and compassion’ helped him move on, saying: ‘Even if you have a very amicable divorce, it’s still going to knock you for six at some point, but time delivers peace. You move on.’
However, Laurence is single at the moment, although is open to getting married again in the future, despite the tough divorce.
He said: ‘More kids? Maybe. I dunno. If someone arrives in my life who’s awesome and I get on with really well, then absolutely. I’d marry her and have 25 kids.
‘But at the moment I’m happily single.’
Laurence will be back on our TV screens this month as he takes on the role of Lord Palmerston in the hit ITV drama Victoria, alongside Jenna Coleman.

Johnny has it made when it comes to his relationship with Kylie (Picture: @itsjohnnycyrus / Instagram)
The superfan is a brilliant specimen. For eons we’ve worshipped at the altars of sports stars, pop stars, actors, fictional characters, collectibles, art, cars, and just about anything else we can relate to, share with others or simply connect with in some way.
Also known as a ‘fanatic’ (but, let’s face it, ‘fan’ is much more sexy), these superfans have travelled the globe to support their chosen love – and we’ve tracked down some of the most die-hard and dedicated.
Each week we’ll bring you the story of one keen punter who has dedicated their life and time (and money, so.much.money) to supporting someone or something – simply because it brings them immeasurable joy. And that’s what life’s about, right?
So many of us would consider ourselves a fan of Kylie Jenner. The beauty mogul and reality star just reached billionaire status after creating a Lip Kit empire and her hustle as won over many a punter.
But long before her bank balance reached 10 figures there was Johnny Cyrus.
Johnny has met Kylie five times (Picture: @itsjohnnycyrus / Instagram)
The 21-year-old sports a sleeve of Kylie-themed tattoos up his arm and has met her five times.
What first got you interested in Kylie Jenner? What is it about her that hooked you?
What first got me interested in Kylie was her [social media video] KEEKs that she used to make forever ago.
Because at that point they weren’t showing too much of Kylie on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but only small clips here and there, so her videos showed a lot more of her personality and it drew me to her.
He buys all her merch (Picture: @itsjohnnycyrus / Instagram)
What was your first act of fandom for Kylie?
In 2014 I started covering my room with posters of Kylie.
After that, I began getting tattoos…
You have multiple Kylie tattoos – can you explain them?
So I have a K with a crown for King Kylie that was my first one I got in 2015. After that I got the Kylie Lip Kit logo later that year.
Next was the lip kit swatches up my arm and her face with the quote ‘Like literally so cute’ which I got in 2016. A flame and her face were done in late 2016, early 2017.
Kylie really made swatches famous (Picture: @itsjohnnycyrus / Instagram)
Johnny’s collection of impressive Kylie’s tattoos (Picture: @itsjohnnycyrus / Instagram)
Any plans for more tattoos?
Yes there are plans for another Kylie tattoo! But it’s going to be a surprise…
How many times have you met Kylie?
I’ve met her a total of five times, the first time being at a Pacsun meet and greet.
It was pretty hard to get into, as it was for the first 500 people who lined up for her and Kendall. This was before she followed me on any social media and before my super fandom really started.
So you DM with Kylie Jenner?
Yeah, we do! We talk about regular stuff like how our day was and stuff like that.
When I saw she was following me, I was extremely shocked and grateful.
Johnny’s jacket is on the left, while Kylie got the other two (Picture: @itsjohnnycyrus / Instagram)
We see you got a custom jacket made – um, awesome!
Yes, I had one made for Travis Scott’s Astroworld tour by an artist on Instagram named @ArtVladi_ . I got one and Kylie got the other ones. I have only worn it to the Travis Scott concert and so many people have asked if they could buy one!
Aside from the jacket, I’ve had custom t-shirts made for concerts, but I’d say the jacket was by far the coolest thing I’ve ever gotten for being a Kylie super fan!
And he works it (Picture: @itsjohnnycyrus / Instagram)
Have you met other Kylie superfans? Does anyone rival your level of dedication?
I’ve met other Kylie super fans, but nobody that I’d consider a rival. More so because I don’t see it as a competition.
Still, the majority of it is online where everyone posts about their super fandom, but when I go to some of the Kylie Jenner events I do meet them while they’re in line.
What is the craziest thing you’ve done for Kylie?
I wouldn’t consider it crazy, but I would say my tattoos.
But she’s brought to my life happiness and confidence. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for Kylie Jenner.

Jeremy Clarkson has addressed the ‘people of China’ while out collecting plastic on a beach.
Sharing a video to his 7.13million Twitter followers, the 58-year-old could be seen sat in a boat surrounded by bottles.
The star’s location is unknown however he recently visited China as part of The Grand Tour.
In the caption he wrote: ‘I went to a small beach today….’ before revealing how much litter he’d picked up in just half an hour.
While throwing rubbish around, the former Top Gear host quipped: ‘And in half an hour this is how much plastic we have picked up.’
Asking the camera man to pan around the little boat, he said: ‘Look at this.’
‘And I’m sorry but…’ the star then began to rummage through the bottles before picking them up one by one while chanting: ‘Chinese, Chinese, Chinese, Chinese…’

Looking into the camera, the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Host said: ‘People of China, pick your fucking litter up.’
Fans were quick to comment, and applauded the star for his ‘hard work.’
However, others pointed out that we’re all to blame for the pollution: ‘Fair comment, but I think that problem exists everywhere. We’re all on the hook.’
Jeremy is known for his controversial comments, and only last month found himself under fire when he branded a Wrangler Jeep as a ‘gay man’s car.’
Will Young hit out at the presenter for ‘stereotyping gay men’ in a heated Twitter rant.
Fans pointed out that we’re all to blame for the pollution (Picture: Getty Images)
He wrote: ‘It’s insulting and they can’t rest on laurels of “oh we are just politically incorrect.” It’s sad and shaming, bigoted and for fuck’s sake grow up. How dare they stereotype gay men.’
The singer continued: ‘I DON’T drive a Wrangler Jeep. I DON’T wear pink shirts. I DON’T wear arseless chaps.
‘You can be honest and funny without this ridiculous ‘lad’ ooh being gay and let’s laugh about it mentality. It’s repulsive and how DARE you do it and put it out @PrimeVideo.’
He wrote: ‘Many gay people who’d seen the show said they couldn’t see a problem. None of my leftie friends could either. One even said I should tell him to stop being so gay.
‘I won’t do that though. And nor will I suggest, once again, that mobile phones should be fitted with breathalysers to stop people drinking and tweeting.’
Clarkson continued: ‘No. Instead, I will apologise to Will for causing him some upset and reassure him that I know I’m not homophobic as I very much enjoy watching lesbians on the internet.’

Rick And Morty’s science is being explained in full (Picture: Adult Swim)
Ever hoped of travelling across dimensions in the vein of Rick And Morty? A new book is hoping to answer whether it could become a reality.
Written by expert science writer and teacher Matt Brady, unofficial guide The Science Of Rick And Morty tackles the weird and crazy science behind some of the big storylines – from concentrated Dark Matter to whether we’re living in a simulation operating at 5 per cent capacity.
Crucially, it will also address whether you can channel Pickle Rick and control a cockroach’s nervous system with your tongue. This is the science the world needs.

Other topics include the current advancements in cloning, if we’ll be able to alter our basic intelligence, and if evolution does ever end?
If you’re awaiting the show’s return, the fourth season is expected to release this year – after work on animation appeared to kick off in January.
Show creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon previously revealed how 70 more episodes of the show have been given the green light – though it’s unclear how many seasons that will span.
A true icon (Picture: Yui Mok – WPA Pool/Getty Images)
Introducing Dame Twiggy, everyone.
The iconic model has been made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire, and obviously looked incredibly stylish while receiving the honour.
The 69-year-old – real name Lesley Lawson – received her damehood from Prince Charles at an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace today, for her services to fashion, the arts and charity.
Twiggy wore in a crisp cream Stella McCartney suit with a silk waistcoat shirt for the occasion, teaming the look with a fascinator.

And, much like Emma Thompson when she wore trainers to receive her damehood, she made a statement with her footwear, ditching heels for white brogues.
Icon.
Twiggy was accompanied to the ceremony by her husband Leigh Lawson, who was pictured looking adoringly at his wife as they posed outside the palace.
They were joined by Twiggy’s daughter Carly, whose father is Twiggy’s first husband Michael Witney and Leigh’s son Jason, whose mum is Hayley Mills.

Twiggy previously said of the honour: ‘When we wake up every morning we turn to each other, my husband (Leigh Lawson) and I, and we just giggle. So it’s a very nice, warm feeling, and obviously I am very honoured.
‘I’m a very proud Brit, I feel I’m an ambassador for Britain, I always have, because I think it’s the best country in the world and I travel the world all the time and I’m known throughout the world and, you know, being British is one of my things.’
Twiggy burst onto the fashion scene in 1966 as a 16-year-old and is called the world’s first supermodel, with her androgynous hairstyle, doe eyes and long eyelashes making her a household name.
In recent years, she has continued modelling with Marks & Spencer, and works with numerous charities, including Vision Aid Overseas.

What Men Want is one of the latest Hollywood reboots, gender-swapping Mel Gibson’s noughties rom-com classic from a female perspective. Any remake is a brave move but fortunately, Taraji P Henson has enough charm to make this one a roaring hit.
Directed by Adam Shankman, What Men Wants stars our girl Taraji as Ali Davis, a successful, no-nonsense female sports agent fighting for a place at the top of her male-dominated workplace aka the ‘boys club’.
While Ali spends the majority of her days surrounded by men, she has no idea how to decipher what they’re really thinking – particularly when it comes to her love life.
Enter a barmy tarot reader, a cup of drug-laced tea and a knock on the head, and Taraji can suddenly hear men’s thoughts.
Poor woman.
The basic threads of the story follows What Women Want closely, of course – a love interest, workplace drama and a neat ending that ties everything together (it is a rom-com after all) but still, it somehow manages to find its own lane.
What Men Want is out in UK cinemas tomorrow (Picture: BET Films)
Before long, the fact that this is a remake is a distant memory as Taraji delivers a steely performance with heart and laughs in equal measure.
Dare we say it, What Men Want is a much funnier affair than Gibson’s offering.
We’re talking, laugh out loud funny which is sadly rare in cinema these days.
Compared to its predecessor, What Men Wants is an entirely raucous affair with outrageous sex scenes and a particularly fiery showdown at a wedding – quite literally wigs are snatched.
But it does have more to offer.
Ironically, Ali finds herself drowning in a sea of egotistical men who refuse to let her win but Taraji, 48, is given free reign to command the lead in Shankman’s vision.
Taraji delivers both laughs and heart (Picture: Paramount Pictures)
And T’s no rookie when it comes to holding down the fort as the solo lead.
In the midst of occasionally silly chaos is an all-too-real depiction of gender inequality and racial discrimination in the office as Taraji, with proven merits of success and hard work, still can’t catch that big break from her older white male boss, who quite literally tells her that her gender and race are the reasons he won’t give her a promotion.
It might seem like a blatantly obvious way to shoehorn in a more serious arc, but at least it gives the rom-com more than one dimension which is often missing in the genre.
Although it’s easily a one-woman show in regards to the leading stars, Taraji has great support from Josh Brener, Ali’s loyal-to-a-fault assistant, and Erykah Badu as the wacky psychic.
Aldis Hodge as Will, Taraji’s love interest, is a great pillar for the softer, more human scenes where we’re able to crack through Ali’s tough exterior.
Albeit cheesy at times – would it even be a rom-com if it wasn’t? – What Men Want is perfect for belly laughs and a feel-good way to spend two hours.
What more could you want?
Oh, maybe to hear men’s thoughts but, judging by Taraji’s ordeal, ignorance is probably bliss on that front.
What Men Want is out in UK cinemas on 15 March.

Merson admits he needs help for his gambling habit after fluttering away millions (Picture: Getty)
TV pundit Paul Merson has started attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings after breaking down about his addiction struggles on new TV show, Harry’s Heroes.
Admitting that his spending is ‘out of control’, he’s heard telling on the touching new series: ‘“I’m struggling with life at the moment. Gambling. I’ve lost control completely again.’
Merson will be trying to get back to the peak fitness of his footballing glory years among a long list of other famous faces including; including David Seaman, Robbie Fowler, Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock, Matt Le Tissier and Chris Waddle.
During a heart-to-heart with Seaman and Fowler, Paul breaks down with his confession, after previously blowing a £7million fortune on gambling, drugs and booze.
At Merton’s lowest point, the former Aston Villa star has spoken openly about the extent he wanted to stop himself – and wanted to break his own fingers to be unable to call his bookies.
Thankfully, the show gave him the kick he needed to finally seek the help he needed.
He’s heading back on the pitch of Harry’s Heroes (Picture: Getty)
He revealed after filming ended: ‘I am back at AA. I have been going for nine weeks and my life is better. I had a meltdown, but it was for the good.
Admitting that he felt suicidal at his lowest moments, Merson added: ‘On the show, I talked a lot about my gambling, but afterwards, when I looked at the issues – it was the drinking.
‘I realised the deep thing was the drink. If I have a drink, I have a bet. So I am not going to have a drink now. I am having help with the gambling and the drinking.
‘I’m back in AA and my life is better.’
Harry’s Heroes: The Full English starts Monday at 9pm on ITV.

James Bond gets ultimate competition as Warner Bros. work on American version (Picture: Getty)
James Bond needs to watch his back as there’s a new agent on his way going under the name Jett Day.
It’s said that Warner Bros are making the ultimate competition for the popular franchise, and are carefully crafting an American version of the British classic.
And while we sit here eagerly awaiting to hear who will play the next 007 spy, it seems the studio are on a search for a ‘Chris Hemsworth type’ to play their leading man.
Not much information regarding the project has been released, however it’s said that the upcoming movie is being written by Ozarks’s Bill DuBuque.
As well as this, That Hashtag Show reported the main story will centre on a black ops agent that is trying to stop a diamond mine from falling into the wrong hands.
Sounds interesting.
They want a Chris Hemsworth type to pay the lead (Picture: FilmMagic)
As well as Jett, there will also be another character called Uncle Brendan, because every agent needs his sidekick, and the publication claim the studio are searching for someone like Brad Pitt to take the role.
Kevin McCormick is rumoured to be looking for a director, with aims of starting production at the end of the year.
But before then, we have the OG Bond to worry about.
As Daniel Craig steps down from the infamous role, a number of celebs are sat waiting to take his place – but the main question is who?
After scooping Best Actress at the Oscars this year, it was thought Olivia Colman had a shot at becoming the first ever female bond.
Olivia Colman could be the next Bond (Picture: Getty Images)
Betway’s Alan Alger said at the time: ‘Olivia Colman’s win at the Oscars completed a remarkable journey for the British actress.
‘If the past few months are anything to go by, she’s set for plenty more success.’
Daniel is expected to appear as the iconic British spy for the final time in Bond 25, the next installment which is set for release in 2020.
However, the project has suffered multiple delays after the original director, Danny Boyle, pulled out over ‘creative differences’.
It’s unknown who will take his place, however a number of names have been thrown around, including the likes of Idris Elba and Richard Madden.

The surprise drop of a new Avengers: Endgame trailer and official poster has brightened all of our days, as we await the release of the eagerly anticipated blockbuster.
Marvel fans are questioning why Danai Gurira hasn’t received billing on Endgame’s official poster – despite her character Okoye featuring on the poster amongst the other Avengers.
Okoye is on the poster alongside the other Avengers (Picture: Marvel)
Tony Stark, Thor, Bruce Banner, Scott Lang, War Machine, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Nebila, Captain America, Rocket, Thanos and Okoye are all featured on the badass picture.
However, at the top of the poster, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper and Josh Brolin’s names are all listed…
… but no room for Danai.
Danai’s name is in the small print credits at the bottom of the poster, but so is Gwyneth Paltrow’s – and Pepper Potts doesn’t feature on the poster.
Understandably, people are rather annoyed:
Okoye is one of Wakanda’s last heroes standing following the Thanos snap, with the warrior watching as T’Challa was dusted.
She will return for the finale in the Avengers saga, with the remaining heroes attempting to reverse the snap which obliterated friends including Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch.
We know that Spider-Man does get brought back somehow, as the upcoming Peter Parker adventure Far From Home is set after the events of Endgame – but how? That is the question.
Avengers: Endgame is out on 26 April.

Jussie’s lawyer previously stated the actor was maintaining his innocence, saying: ‘The fact of an indictment was not unexpected. We knew that there is no way they would expose their evidence to a public airing and subject their witnesses to cross-examination.
The actor is accused of filing a false police report (Picture: AP)
‘What is unexpected, however, is the prosecutorial overkill in charging 16 separate counts against Jussie.’
‘This redundant and vindictive indictment is nothing more than a desperate attempt to make headlines in order to distract from the internal investigation launched to investigate the outrageous leaking of false information by the Chicago Police Department and the shameless and illegal invasion of Jussie’s privacy in tampering with his medical records.
‘Jussie adamantly maintains his innocence even if law enforcement has robbed him of that presumption.’
The 36-year-old is due back in court mid-April, and has been advised to attend every court date going forward – after Smollett previously attended a hearing that he technically didn’t need to attend.
Jussie is allowed to travel to New York and Los Angeles for meetings with his legal team, although must notify the court 48 hours in advance, and needs to check back in within 24 hours upon his return to Chicago.

David Schwimmer actually hated Marcel the monkey (Picture: Netflix)
David Schwimmer actually detested the money in Friends, unlike Matt Le Blanc who ‘got along great’ with the animal.
Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Matt revealed that David, who’s character Ross Geller owned the pet for eight episodes in season one, loathed Marcel because of the number of scenes they had to shoot together.
‘I liked the monkey, I like animals, yeah the monkey was really cool. Schwimmer not so much… it’s just ’cause he’s the one who had to work with it the most, he was like, “Again with the monkey?”
‘Now the monkey in the show was named Marcel was a boy but in real life it was a girl names Katie, she was very cute.’
David also recalled how Marcel/Katie disappeared on-set causing co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courtney Cox and Lisa Kudrow, to stop filming.
‘One time so we’re shooting a scene with the monkey, the monkey just decides to – you know sound stages are huge the lights are hanging from the grid they go way up on these chains and the ceiling is you know like 60 feet or whatever it is.
‘The monkey just goes right to the ceiling and just disappears up into the blackness and all the actors are like, “OK, I guess we’re on a five I’ll see you later! I’ll be in my room.” And it took half an hour [to get the monkey down] waving like mealworms.’
Lots of Friends trivia has been circulating as the show prepares to celebrate its 25-year anniversary, with writer Kelsey Miller revealing that it was almost set in a diner rather than a coffeehouse.
Friends is available to stream on Netflix.

A look at all the suspects who could have killed Adam in Cheat (Picture: ITV; Metro.co.uk)
There’s only one more episode left of Cheat before we find out the big question – who killed Adam Dale?
At the end of episode one it was revealed that Adam was dead and that Leah and Rose are in the frame. But police didn’t seem entirely sure.
It’s still unclear exactly what happened to Adam after his confrontation with Rose, when he strangled her during an argument.
We then saw Rose making a desperate phone call to Ben, but that was it.
Everything will be revealed in the episode tonight, but until then we’re going to get our thinking caps on and look at the suspects.
Rose
Adam was furious with Rose for manipulating him (although he wasn’t forced into bed with her), and she made some very cutting remarks about him.
With his hands around her neck, Rose will need to defend herself. Could her self-defence be fatal?
Leah
Leah knows the truth about Rose being her half-sister, and could have marched home to tell her other half. Does she walk in on Adam choking Rose and step in to defend her, killing Adam in the process?
Another fan theory put forward on Twitter suggests that Leah killed her husband with the intention of framing Rose.
Did Leah or Rose kill Adam? (Picture: ITV)
Michael
Leah’s dad is already unhappy with how Adam has treated his daughter. He could have followed Leah from the anniversary party and murdered Adam then.
Angela
She was just as upset as Michael was about Adam’s transgressions. She might have been the one to go with Leah after the party and kill the man who hurt her daughter. She was also already emotional after finding out about her husband’s affair and could have been capable of anything.
Did Leah’s parents do it in a fit of rage? (Picture: ITV)
Was Adam’s death just a tragic accident? (Picture: ITV)
Ben
Ben would do anything for Rose. He could have killed Adam to defend her and Rose’s panicked call to Ben was about something totally different.
Stephan
Pretty far-fetched but we have an inkling Leah’s fantasy is going to come true and she’s going to get together with her colleague. What if he went round to Leah’s to confess his feelings, found Adam there, they had a row
Adam
Hear us out. The whole thing could have been an accident – maybe he fell onto something?
Ant and Dec enter Twitter war with David Walliams (Pictures: Getty Images)
David Walliams has gone and started a Twitter war with his Britain’s Got Talent buddies Ant and Dec.
Following Ant’s return to the social media site, the 49-year-old decided to tease the iconic duo – and it’s too much.
In a post to his 2.07million followers, the comedian took us all back to the PJ and Duncan days as he shared the boy’s music video for their track Perfect.
Writing in the caption, the children’s author quipped: ‘@antanddec with a song they wrote about me. ‘Perfect’. WARNING – CONTAINS NUDITY.’
While fans were left in hysterics at the post, the double act were quickly coming up with their response.
Instead of taking the moral high ground, Ant shot back: ‘I was looking out of the rainy window to see you!’
We can’t wait to see what David has up his sleeve for a comeback.
However, can we just remind everyone that the father-of-one appeared dressed as a sailor in Ant and Dec’s music video for U Krazy Katz.
Choosing to shun an ‘I’M BACK’ post, Ant opted for a much more subtle return, wishing his friend Daniel Mays luck in his new film Fisherman’s Friends.
The 43-year-old tweeted: ‘Best of luck with the movie Kidda! Can’t wait to see it A.’
He teased the stars over their over PJ and Duncan video (Picture: Redferns / Getty Images)
The ‘A’ was all fans needed and they were more than just a little bit excited to have him back on Twitter.
Ant’s friend Daniel replied to his tweet, where he thanked him for the support.
He wrote: ‘Cheers Ant! Much appreciated mate. Can’t tell you how fantastic it is to see you healthy, happy and back on the box where you belong.
‘You’re pure class my friend who’s been much missed! Best Wishes Dan.’
Ant has had a difficult year after he was involved in a drink driving accident.
When coming out of rehab the star then split with his wife Lisa Armstrong after being married for 11 years.

MotherFatherSon returned on Wednesday night with a disturbing self-harm scene so sick viewers said they were ‘permanently damaged.’
The BBC Two drama’s second installment saw Caden (Billy Howle) attempt to take his own life as he recovered from his stroke in hospital by trying to remove part of his head.
Devastated by the extent of his injuries after waking up from brain surgery, Caden pulled hard at his stitches resulting in his wound being stripped open and blood pouring out.
Viewers were left scarred after MotherFatherSon’s most recent episode (Picture: Twitter)
Mum Kathryn (Helen McCroy) tried her best to restrain her volatile son in a desperate bid to save his life, only for him to bite her boob to make her give up her efforts.
Viewers were left horrified by the graphic scenes and took to Twitter, branding it ‘unpleasant’ and ‘disturbing.’
‘What the fuck was that ending?’ demanded one, as another wrote: ‘Jayzus! Couldn’t find the off button quick enough,’ and ‘Not sure I’ll sleep well tonight as my eyes hurt after that last 10 mins.’
Billy later addressed the shocking scenes on Twitter, writing: ‘Every five minutes, stroke destroys lives. When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down, and so does a part of you.
Caden was recovering from brain surgery when he attempted to take his own life (Picture: BBC)
‘As Caden showed tonight – you can lose who you are in an instant. The impact varies, from wiping out your speech and physical abilities, to affecting your emotions and personality.
‘Treatment and rehabilitation is complex because everyone affected has unique needs. recovery is possible and the brain can adapt.’

K-pop is bigger than ever on a global scene, with bands like BTS and BLACKPINK breaking records with ticket sales and album releases.
But back in Korea, a scandal has cast a shadow on the phenomenon.
A number of K-pop stars are being investigated as part of a chatroom scandal which has seen Big Bang star Seungri and singer and TV personality Joon Jung Young leaving the entertainment industry.
Today, Seungri apologised to people ‘who were hurt and suffered’ as he arrived at Seoul Police Department to be questioned as a suspect in a prostitution scandal.
The Big Bang star has been accused of providing escorts for foreign investors in his Burning Sun nightclub and other VIP clients in a chatroom scandal which has rocked K-pop.
The 28-year-old today arrived at a police station in Seoul to be questioned as a suspect in the case. Dressed in a navy pinstriped suit, Seungri – real name Lee Seung-hyun – looked solemn as he stopped to speak to reporters.
He said: ‘I lower my head and offer an apology to the people and people nearby who were hurt and suffered … I will fully engage in the investigation with truthful answers.’
Jung Joon Young also arrived at Seoul Police Department to be questioned in a separate case – having already admitted to sharing illegally recorded footage of women in a Kakaotalk chatroom.

The two stars are being questioned as part of a the uncovering of a chatroom were secret sex tapes were shared, and men joked about drugging and raping women, according to South Korean broadcaster SBS.
Seungri – known as the Great Gatsby of K-pop thanks to his lavish lifestyle – has not been charged, but is being investigated for ‘sexual bribery’, following a report accusing him of ‘supplying prostitutes to potential investors at the club and his Yuri Holdings company’.
A Kakao Talk exchange allegedly between the popstar and three others in 2016 appeared to show Seungri arranging female escorts to serve potential investors.
In a text allegedly sent by Seungri, it said: ‘Pick the ones who’ll sleep with them without a fuss.’ It was also alleged that Seungri used a Kakaotalk group to organise sex workers to serve foreign investors at nightclub ARENA in Gangnam. It has been alleged that there were a number of celebrities in this chatroom.

Seungri said in a statement: ‘At this moment, it seems like it would be good for me to retire from the entertainment industry. I’ve decided to retire from the entertainment industry because of the huge social controversy that has arisen. I am under investigation, and I will receive investigation with sincerity so that the building suspicions can be revealed.
‘During the past month and a half, I have received criticism and hate from the public and been in a situation where every investigative agency in this country is investigating me. I just cannot accept causing pain to those around me just for my sake.
‘I would like to sincerely thank all of the fans both in and out of Korea who have shown me love for the past ten years. For the sake and honor of Big Bang and YG, [my career is] ending here.’

After Seungri’s retirement announcement, Jung Joon Young was exposed as one of the celebrities in the chatroom, where he sent hidden camera footage of women involved in sex acts. The 2 Days and 1 Night star was accused of sending illegally recorded footage on 11 occasions.
Admitting to the accusations, Jung Joon Young said: ‘I admit to all of my sins that have been reported. I have filmed women without consent and have distributed in social media chat rooms, and I’ve felt no guilt while doing so. As a public figure, it was a very careless act worthy of criticism.
‘I kneel on my knees and want to apology to the women in the videos who’ve faced the disgusting truth through this case and feel anger beyond disappointment and shock.
‘I will not take time of reflection but will let go of everything as a public figure, and look back at my unethical, unlawful acts which are considered a crime for the rest of my life. Out of all, I want to apologise to the women who were harmed by my acts, to those who went beyond disappointment and felt anger, and to those who made me a public figure and cared for me.’
While the two men have been booked as suspects in their respective cases, the scandal has spread to other celebrities.
Yong (second from left) has quit Highlight amid the allegations (Picture: VCG)
Highlight star Yong Jun-hyung spoke to police after admitting to watching an illegally recorded video in a chatroom.
Around Us Entertainment confirmed Yong would be leaving Highlight after ‘consultation with the company in order to avoid tarnishing the group’s image and prevent secondary damages’, after he ‘had seen an illegal video that was shared through the 1:1 chat and exchanged inappropriate conversations about it’.
Yong himself said on his Instagram account that he didn’t think watching the video was a crime and denied filming or sharing the footage.
He added: ‘I didn’t take it seriously, and I was a bystander who turned a blind eye to this serious problem that many different victims could arise from due to my such act.’
Choi is accused of bribing police Picture: Instagram
And FT Island member Choi Jong-hoon has quit entertainment after being accused of bribing police into not revealing a 2016 drink-driving offence, something he allegedly discussed in the celebrity chatroom.
The singer said in a statement: ‘After reading the conversations in the chatroom I was involved in through the news reports, I was so distressed and ashamed to come across the forgotten past messages again.
‘The fact that I made these careless remarks and couldn’t remember them all this time made me reflect on what a false sense of ethics I’d been living with. In addition, as I read over comments of criticism and anger, I realize that I had fallen into a sense of entitlement, and I am deeply regretting it. I will repent greatly of my sins from my immoral life, and I will live while reflecting on this for the rest of my life.
‘First I must bow my head in apology to the victims who were hurt with lasting wounds. And I apologize to the numerous victims who have been harmed after being dragged into this incident despite having nothing to do with it.
‘I’m also ashamed of myself as I was in the position of being leader to the members of FTISLAND, but I acted disgracefully. And to the fans (PRIMADONNA) who have supported my activities until now, I’m also sorry that I failed to live up to the expectations you believed in, and that I have betrayed your trust in me. As of today, I will leave the team and retire from the entertainment industry. I will spend my entire life thoroughly reflecting on my past days when I acted carelessly without any feelings of remorse. I will also diligently participate in future investigations without any falsehoods, and I will accept the punishment I deserve. I am sorry.’
While the scandal is difficult for many K-pop fans, who have been huge fans of many of the celebs involved, the accusations are part of a wider problem in South Korea.
Hidden cameras are endemic in the country, so much so there’s even a word for it – molka.
Cameras for secret filming of images of a sexual nature are frequently found in public bathrooms and changing rooms, with tens of thousands of women last year taking to the streets to protest against sexual harassment and secret filming, with the slogan ‘My Life Is Not Your Porn’.
Yonhap reported that cases of molka rose from 2,400 in 2012 to 6,500 in 2017. Following the protests, the government has committed to conducting daily checks on public bathrooms in Seoul.

Sniper Elite 4 was one of the low-key best games of 2017, and since the buying public seemed to agree that’s led to the thankfully inevitable announcement of ‘the next major title in the Sniper Elite series’.
Rebellion didn’t actually call it Sniper Elite 5, but that’s clearly what they were hinting at in today’s Twitch livestream for fans.
It was far from their only revelation though, as they also announced a new, standalone Sniper Elite VR game. It’ll be developed by British studio Just Add Water, who were behind Gravity Crash and the Oddworld remakes.
Also announced was Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, based on the second entry in the series from 2012. It’ll be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this year.
The remaster will feature enhanced graphics and support for 4K and HDR on everything but the Switch. Plus, there’ll be new playable characters, a new photo mode, and expanded multiplayer for up to 16 players.
And then finally there’s Sniper Elite III Ultimate Edition, which brings the 2014 cross-generational sequel to the Switch and marks the first time the series has ever been on a Nintendo console (which presumably means it’ll be out before V2 Remastered).
It’ll include all the DLC ever released for the original, plus a Switch-exclusive local multiplayer mode and optional motion controls.
The VR game will be revealed in full later this year, but Rebellion have warned that nothing will be seen of the next mainline title until 2020.

Ricky Gervais is making money off all his Twitter trolls (Picture: Getty)
Ricky Gervais has managed to come up with a pretty savvy way to deal with his Twitter trolls – by making a ton of money from them.
Seriously, why didn’t we think of this?
During an appearance on LBC podcast Full Disclosure, he confessed he often ‘falls into a trap’ with Twitter rows – but has found a positive in the interactions with his 13million followers.
‘I even monetise it because some of the most ridiculous tweets are talked about, and I couldn’t work out how much that tweet is worth to me but it’s lots,’ the 57-year-old told James O’Brien.

‘[The tweets] end up in your shows, yes of course,’ the host said.
‘5 minutes’ worth of material that makes a Netflix special. That’s worth six-figures. That’s a six-figure source right there in 140 characters!’
‘Exactly! Played to 800,000 people,’ he agreed.
‘Yeah, yeah! You could say trolls have me made hundreds of thousands of pounds each, and so I should thank them!’
Well, that’s one way of looking at it…
Ricky’s new series, After Life, has been hailed by critics (Netflix)
Ricky is back on our screens with After Life – which has been dubbed his ‘finest work since The Office’.
Seeing as David Brent is one of the most quotable characters on telly, that is quite a big compliment.
But, while the subject matter is one most would leave well alone, Ricky dived straight into it, and prides himself on having no limits with his comedy.
‘I’ve always had the view that there are no subject is off limits for comedy or parody,’ he told us.
‘The fear of offending people is nonsense. Political correctness is there for a reason and I understand why we have watersheds and some censorship, but no-one should be offended by a joke.
‘People think certain subjects are off-limited, but why? It depends on the target of the joke and if the target is not going to be offended then there is no problem and those who are offended may not have thought about the joke for as long as I have.
‘The challenge now is thinking about how people will react to them 10 years from now.’
After Life is available to stream on Netflix now.
