David Dimbleby is making his grand presenting return next month to host Have I Got News For You.
The 80-year-old broadcaster, who retired from Question Time last year after 25 years, will be fronting the opening episode of the weekly nine-part satirical series and says ‘it’s an intriguing invitation.’
‘When chairing Question Time I became used to dealing with difficult panellists, but Ian Hislop and Paul Merton are another matter,’ David announced.
‘They have turned disruptive subversion into an art form.’

He added: ‘It will be quite a challenge to keep the show on the road but whatever happens it will be fun.’
Strictly Come Dancing winner Stacey Dooley and comedian Henning Wehn will join David and regular team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop, as guest panellists.
David confirmed last June that he would be stepping down from Question Time and said at the time: ‘It was the right moment to leave.
‘It has been a privilege to work for a programme which brings voters face to face with those in power.’
Paying tribute, BBC Director General Tony Hall added: ‘David has been at the helm of Question Time for over 25 years: a brilliant champion of the public and the audience’s friend – getting the answers they want on the big and difficult issues of the day.
‘Always a commanding figure, David has ensured Question Time has not only stayed relevant through the years, but a must watch for those interested in politics and current affairs.
‘The BBC and the public are extraordinarily lucky to have him in what are – to say the least – interesting times politically and socially. We look forward to working with him on other projects in the future.’
In December, it was confirmed that Fiona Bruce would be taking over David’s spot on the programme and her debut, which saw her grill Labour’s Emily Thornbur, Liberal Democrats deputy leader Jo Swinson, Conservative deputy chair James Cleverly, journalist Melanie Phillips and comedian Nish Kumar, didn’t disappoint viewers.
Have I Got A Bit More News For You begins Monday 8 April at 9pm on BBC One.

Vanessa Hudgens has a new Christmas movie on the way and it looks amazing (Picture: Getty)
Vanessa Hudgens proved herself the official queen of Christmas last year – sorry Mariah Carey – after starring in festive Netflix film, The Princess Switch.
And she’s ready to keep a firm hold on her crown with upcoming movie, The Knight Before Christmas.
The 30-year-old will be producing and starring in the festive film, which follows a medieval knight who is magically transported to the present day, and ends up falling for a science teacher.

Honestly, just hand her the Oscar now.
While we have more than a few questions about the plot – mainly about how exactly an English knight found himself in a high school in the first place – we are already living for the whole thing.
The Netflix offering will start shooting in Canada next month, with Monika Mitchell at the helm.
Josh Whitehouse is set to star opposite the High School Musical star, confirming the news on his Instagram page.
Vanessa and Austin Butler have been dating since 2011 (Picture: WireImage)
As well as all this, the star revealed she is also thinking about her future, with boyfriend Austin Butler.
The pair have been together since 2011, but she insisted they are in no rush to take things up a notch.
‘I want to get married, travel, then have kids, probably in my late 30s, everyone’s clock is different,’ she previously told Us Weekly.
‘He inspires me more than anyone. We both respect, trust and admire each other.
‘It’s so solid now because I feel strong as an independent woman.
‘I am very self-reliant, but it’s nice to have a best friend you can share victories with as well as losses.’

Sequels are like a box of chocolates (Picture: Rex Features)
Forrest Gump may have been one of the most lovable, and serendipitous, characters of the 90s – which is where he stayed.
Why did we never get a sequel to the masterpiece to the namesake film, eh? It grossed $678 million (£515 million) at the box office and won all the Oscars.
The answer to our question has finally been answered and we need to thank our lucky stars we never got a sequel by the sounds of it.
Because, by all accounts, it seems horrible.
Earlier this week the screenwriter of the movie, Eric Roth, revealed we very nearly had a sequel to the 1994 tear-jerking Oscar-winning film after he filed the completed draft of the script to director Robert Zemeckis on 10 September, 2001.
It was heavily implied in the original movie Jenny had HIV/Aids (Picture: Rex Features)
Of course the events of the following day on the 11th meant his movie never saw the light of day, as he claimed producers, and Forrest AKA Tom Hanks, felt the sequel was no longer important or relevant to the audience.
We didn’t even know it was a thing until Roth explained to Yahoo Entertainment the movie would have followed Forrest Junior’s struggles with living with Aids.
Wait, what? You gave little Haley Joel Osment Aids in the sequel?
As well as that storyline we probably could have lived without (yes it was heavily implied his mother Jenny, played by Robin Wright, died from the disease, but that doesn’t mean you had to go and rip away Forrest’s son, too), it seemed the Alabaman got up to the same sort of historical hi-jinks as the first.
‘I had him in the back of OJ [Simpson]’s Bronco, and that he would look up occasionally and they didn’t see him in the rear-view mirror,’ Roth continued. ‘I had him as a ballroom dancer, and eventually as a charity thing he danced with Princess Diana.’
Princess Diana was going to make an appearance
Of course he did.
And that’s all well and good, but there was mention of the ‘funny’ sequence of little Forrest that seems to have rubbed fans of the movie the wrong way.
‘It was gonna start with his little boy having Aids,’ he said. ‘And people wouldn’t go to class with him in Florida.
‘We had a funny sequence where they were [desegregation] bussing in Florida at the same time, so people were angry about either the bussing, or [their] kids having to go to school with the kid who had AIDS. So there was a big conflict.’
Err…
The real clincher behind the film not being made came down to a storyline that had Forrest striking up a friendship with a Native American woman who was killed in the terrorist bombing in Oklahoma City in 1995.
After that, Roth said: ‘So when 9/11 occurred … everything felt meaningless.’
To be quite honest, fans on social media seemed pretty pleased that sequel never saw the light of day – quietly content in the final Forrest we were graced with 25 years ago.
‘BRO this is the best thing that never happened, FORREST GUMP 2,’ one said on Twitter, as another chimed in: ‘I think we can all collectively agree that Forrest Gump did not need a sequel.’
One moviegoer really summed things up as they said: ‘I’m so glad that Forrest Gump sequel never gained traction. Sounded super super corny.’
It wasn’t all bad, though – the sequel does have a small army of fans.
‘Tbf, describing the original Forrest Gump would make the movie sound pretty stupid too,’ one wrote…and fair dos to them. ‘I am all for this bananas sequel.’
Sequels are like a box of chocolates…you never know which one you’re gonna get.
Yes, that joke was as rubbish as the Gump sequel sounds…

The My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star struggled to tell his wife something was wrong, despite being in so much pain that going to the toilet felt ‘like razor blades’.
He said on Good Morning Britain: ‘You have enemies and this that. You’d have to be evil to wish it on anyone. It’s the worst pain.’
Paddy only went to the doctor after his wife kept pushing him to go.
‘My woman came with me. It was the woman looking after the man, it should be the man looking after the woman, that’s our culture. He sent me straight to the hospital.
‘I didn’t even know what a prostate was, I still haven’t got a clue what it is. That’s how foolish I was. Then they said you’ve got cancer. I said, “oh I’m in trouble now.”‘
Paddy struggled to tell his family something was wrong (Picture: ITV/REX)
The devastating diagnosis left him feeling ‘angry with everyone’.
After undergoing a mammoth six-hour operation, the reality TV star has been given the all-clear and feels ‘fantastic’.
He urged men to go to the doctor if they feel something is wrong and ‘put their pride to one side’.
‘Like a woman checks herself every man should do that, no matter who you are or what you are.
‘You think you’re built like a brick and all that but believe me that will break you down to size.’
Paddy with his wife Roseanne (Picture: Alan Chapman/FilmMagic)
He told The Sun earlier this month: ‘I’ve been to hell and back with this and it’s worse than getting a horrendous beating.
Symptoms of prostate cancer include needing to pee more frequently, difficulty in starting to pee, feeling that your bladder has not emptied fully and blood in the urine or semen.

We are dazzled into submission (Picture: Instagram)
Rihanna is leaving us hanging for her long-awaited ninth album.
But if she thinks she can distract us with a new Body Lava from Fenty Beauty… she’s entirely right.
The 31-year-old has the Navy losing their minds thanks to her new promo for the latest shades of her cult body luminiser, and we don’t blame people for freaking out.
Serving golden goddess vibes, Rihanna wears a tiny metallic gold dress, while her body shimmers in the same shade thanks to her Trophy Wife product.
The singer is also the creator of the lucrative Fenty brand (Picture: Instagram)
Just that picture alone basically guarantees a sellout.
Riri captioned the promo pic: ‘Back with that new DRIP! The return of @fentybeauty #BODYLAVA is coming in a new , yet signature, shade #TROPHYWIFE !!! 1 of 3 limited edition shades, including #WhoNeedsClothes and #BrownSugar.’
And the general consensus was that Rihanna was all kinds of fire emoji.
Rapper Trina left a string of flame emojis, while Cypress Hill commented: ‘Damn.’
Fenty Beauty also shared a promo video for the Body Lava, showing Rihanna, Slick Woods and a number of models glistening thanks to the shimmer.
But while we definitely appreciate this content, we reiterate – where is R9, girl?
Rihanna last dropped an album in 2016 when she released Anti, and we have been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for album number nine ever since.
Jessica Rosales visited Riri in the studio and her friend gave little Aaron a pair of headphones to give his verdict on her new music – with Jessica writing on Instagram: ‘When tia @badgalriri gives you the first listen. #newmusic.’
Never have we been so jealous of a baby.

The indie homage to Ninja Gaiden moves from PC and Switch to PlayStation 4 and it’s a must-have retro platformer with a surprising twist.
The recent Nindies showcase for the Switch was the perfect demonstration of the variety and ambition that exemplifies the best indie games. From a dystopian cab-driving simulator to a husky sled-racing roguelike the games were far more imaginative and diverse than any similar collection of high-profile AAA games. And yet, if you were to generalise what the average indie game looks like you’d probably describe a 2D platformer or Metroidvania. And that’s exactly what The Messenger is, except it’s one of the best examples we’ve ever played.
The Messenger was originally released on Nintendo Switch and PC last year, which illustrates one of the great problems of indie gaming: the lack of marketing and visibility. We’d never heard of it before its release and never had time to review it after the fact, but now it’s on PlayStation 4 and we have a second chance to see exactly what all the fuss is about.
The Messenger is very obviously inspired by the NES era Ninja Gaiden games, a fact it never seeks to hide through its irreverent and sarcastic dialogue. Although iconic in North America and Japan those aren’t titles most UK gamers are likely to be familiar with, not least because they were called Shadow Warriors here. More will be familiar with the Xbox era games though and both do have essentially the same mix of platforming, action, and ruthlessly hard difficulty. But none of them were Metroidvanias as well.
Describing The Messenger as a Metroidvania is actually a bit of spoiler, as it starts off as a straight 2D action platformer. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where only ninjas have survived, the plot revolves around a prophecy of a ‘Western Hero’ and the need for the protagonist to deliver a scroll to the top of distant mountaintop. None of this is taken very seriously, thankfully, but there’s a time travel element to the story which is actually quite clever, not least in the fact the future is portrayed via more advanced 16-bit style graphics instead of the normal 8-bit.
It’s obvious that The Messenger is the Ninja Gaiden game that Canadian team Sabotage always imagined and as it starts off the simple platforming and sword-fighting is perfectly entertaining all on its own. You’re immediately introduced to the idea of ‘cloud-stepping’, which essentially gifts you a double jump if you get it right, and are soon after given the ability to climb up vertical walls.
An encounter with a mysterious shopkeeper opens up a skill tree of other abilities, including shurikens and grappling hooks, which have to be paid for by collecting ‘time shards’ that are dotted around most screens. At this point the game is surprisingly… we wouldn’t call it easy, but certainly not the gruelling test of skill and patience you might be expecting.
When you do eventually die though you find you’re only sent as far back as the last checkpoint you passed, although the amiable little demon that resurrects you demands payment for his efforts and follows you around for a short time – stealing all your time shards until he feels he’s been appropriately repaid.
The Messenger (PS4) – not what it first appears
We don’t want to spoil what happens too much but after the present and future worlds are both introduced the game finally starts to take on the style of a Metroidvania, allowing you to visit either era whenever you want so that you can backtrack to any location as you see fit. It’s very unusual to see that sort of evolution in a game, especially a low budget indie title, but it works marvellously well as the scope of the adventure continues to increase almost by the hour.
There’s a light/dark world element to the time travel, as the layout of stages changes depending on what era you’re in, with the complexity of the puzzles and challenges ramping up at a smooth but persistent pace. That said, the open-endedness of the second half of the game can start to seem like padding, as the constant, clear progression of the first half is replaced with uninspired fetch quests and a lot of backtracking.
By that point you’ll probably have unlocked all the really cool upgrades and will have got a little too familiar with the rather limited number of enemy types. The second half doesn’t ruin the game, and the sheer fact that it switches genres at all makes it interesting, but it perhaps should’ve been scaled back a touch or based in new areas rather than ones you’ve already visited.
Retro-looking visuals are, of course, another cliché of indie development, although sometimes it’s hard to tell how much is enforced by budgetary constraints and how much is simply the choice of the creators. The Messenger is clearly the latter, with some beautiful 8-bit and 16-bit graphics and animation. The equally retro soundtrack is especially striking, sticking closer to the limitations of the era than most indie games and yet still proving surprisingly melodic.
The Messenger doesn’t get everything right but thanks to its imagination and enthusiasm it’s almost impossible to dislike. The level design is also hugely impressive, with multiple routes through each section depending on what abilities you use and whether you pursue optional rewards along the way. The very clear message is that Sabotage is an indie developer to watch and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next, whether it involves ninjas or not.
The Messenger
In Short: An inspired homage to old school Ninja Gaiden games, with a clever blending of genres and near perfect retro graphics and music.
Pros: Excellent level design and controls, with a wide range of abilities. Unusually smooth difficulty curve and clever escalation of mechanics and design elements. Pitch perfect visuals and sound.
Cons: The pacing in the second half of the game loses the energy and invention of the first half, with too much backtracking and uninspired fetch quests. Too little enemy variety.
Score: 8/10
Formats: PlayStation 4 (reviewed), Nintendo Switch, and PC Price: £15.99 Publisher: Devolver Digital Developer: Sabotage Release Date: 19th March 2019 Age Rating: 7
It’s coming up to the 10 year anniversary of Jade Goody’s death.
And while her friends and family mourn the star, many are hoping to reignite the Jade Goody effect and encourage girls to get their smears.
When appearing on Lorraine, two women revealed how Jade had saved their lives, as they took her advice and went to the doctors for their smear.
Georgina, who at the time already had a little girl, opened up on how she needed a hysterectomy despite showing no symptoms.
She told the host: ‘I watched and followed everything that had happened to Jade, and it really upset me, epecially how she had left her two boys behind, so I had to get tested straight away.
‘The doctors said I’d got severe changes in my cervix and this followed with the bad news that I had got an aggressive tumour.’

The mother-of-one added: ‘They removed my lymphoids, but this didn’t work so I had to have a hysterectomy.
‘I was 25, I had no symptoms at all and I thought that I was healthy – but I really wasn’t.’
Georgina was joined by Hayley who had also been through a similar experience.
Urging people to get their smear, she added: ‘I did ignore my smears, I had the, “it wont happen to me” attitude.

‘But I followed her story and I got tested after she passed away – 100 per cent she made me go for my smear.’
The guest added: ‘They found an aggressive tumour and I had to have a hysterectomy in 2009 – but I’m here.
‘Jade saved my life, and we need to keep the legacy alive.’
Chatting about what the smear test is for, she added: ‘It’s not to detect cancer it’s to detect precancerous cells, which could lead to cancer.’
Jade Goody sadly passed away in 2009 at the age of 27 after being diagnosed with cervical cancer.
She left behind two sons, Bobby, 15, and Freddie, 14, as well as her husband Jack Tweed.

The comedian has been hit pretty bad by near-constant vomiting and has admitted that she really didn’t expect pregnancy to be like this.
‘It’s been pretty tough, I didn’t know that pregnancies were such a bummer,’ she said this week as anyone who’d battled chronic morning sickness likely nodded in solidarity.
Amy’s still a slave to the symptoms as she revealed she continues to suffer from hyperemesis, the pregnancy complication linked to extreme nausea, and that she ‘threw up a few times on the way’ to the studio.
Amy spoke about Chris’s autism diagnosis (Picture: Getty Images for Audible)
There to chat about her latest stand-up special Growing, the 37-year-old also opened up about her husband, Chris Fischer, and his diagnosis with high-functioning autism.
‘We both wanted to talk about it because it’s been totally positive,’ she told Seth Meyers this week.
‘I think some people resist getting diagnosed… because of the stigma that comes along with it.
‘But the tools we’ve been given have made his life so much better and our marriage and our life so much more manageable.’
The Trainwreck actress married Chris, 39, in February 2018 and previously revealed that she was unaware when they first started dating that he was on the spectrum.
‘I have to start this over because I really want to get this right because I love him very much,’ she told the audience.
‘My husband was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger’s. He has autism spectrum disorder. He’s on the spectrum. And there were some signs early on.
‘Once he was diagnosed, it dawned on me how funny it was, because all of the characteristics that make it clear that he’s on the spectrum are all of the reasons that I fell madly in love with him.’
Amy told her 7.9 million followers that she was ’embarrassed’ she had to cancel the final dates of her tour, but because her pregnancy sickness isn’t getting any easier, doctors haven’t cleared her to fly.
‘I wanted to push through and do my shows because I hate letting people down and I love stand up and money!’ she told fans. ‘But more than that I have to think about my health and the baby.’

Patrick came out in the most recent episode of Schitt’s Creek (Picture: CBC)
*Contains Schitt’s Creek season five spoilers.
Schitt’s Creek’s Patrick (Noah Reid) came out in the show’s most recent episode when his boyfriend David (Dan Levy) threw him a surprise birthday party and invited his parents.
After months of the storyline being teased, the grand event was accidentally put into motion by Johnny (Eugene Levy), who made the mistake of assuming that Patrick’s mum and dad knew that him and David are not only business partners, but dating as well.
With a spanner quickly thrown into the works, Patrick confessed his fears to David about telling them the truth about his sexuality, but with the help of his other half – who assessed the damage control – Patrick was able to take charge of his moment.
Dan Levy explained that he faced a homophobia obstacle when writing Patrick’s coming out story (Picture: CBC)
Unsurprisingly the emotional and powerful scenes had viewers across the globe in tears, with the show’s creator Dan, explaining that exploring Patrick’s sexuality was always on the table.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, he explained: ‘I always knew we were going to deal with Patrick’s sexuality in a slightly more specific way at some point.
‘You never want a character to seem too perfect. We thought it would be a real eye-opener for David if he were to find out something like this — and certainly shed some light on Patrick as well.’
Dan was eager to make sure Patrick’s parents weren’t written to be homophobic, adding to the publication: ‘That was the obstacle: Knowing that his parents cannot be against him coming out, what does that story look like?
Dan thanked his fans for the messages of support following the episode (Picture: Twitter)
‘We landed on playing on the sort of common parental fears of feeling like they’ve done something wrong, but in actuality their fears are based on the fact that he didn’t tell them, not that they have anything but love for their son.
‘So the minute we knew that we had that kind of hook, things sort of fell into place.’
After the episode aired, the show’s creator and actor Dan tweeted his fans, writing: ‘Tonight’s episode was one of the hardest/most rewarding creative experiences of my (short) career.
‘I’m very grateful for the opportunity. Thank you all for watching.’
Schitt’s Creek is airs Wednesdays on CBC in the US.

Married At First Sight star Ning admitted she wanted to ‘stab’ her ‘husband’ Mark when they first met.
The Australian version of the show, where singletons get married moments after meeting for the first time, aired the shocking comment during a dinner party.
Ning said her ‘marriage’ to Mark didn’t get off to the best start.
When ‘groom’ Mick Gould commented on how Ning and Mark didn’t take to each other at first, Ning replied: ‘Oh yeah, I wanted to kill him. I wanted to stab him with a knife!’
Another ‘bride’ at the gathering, Jules, appeared stunned by Ning’s comment.
It’s a good time to get into Married At First Sight Australia as the couples are set to be rocked by a shock announcement at the last commitment ceremony.

Jess and Dan have been secretly having an affair on the show, spending time together without their respective ‘spouses’.
In a teaser for the explosive episode on Sunday, Jess sits down with the dating experts and admits that she has found a meaningful relationship…outside of her ‘marriage’ to Mick.
Jess explained: ‘I came into this experiment wanting to find somebody that I could build a life with. Someone that makes me happy and makes me feel confident and I’ve found that but it’s not with Mick. It’s with Dan. He’s my future.’
She is later told: ‘People have been deeply hurt here’ before Mick rages: ‘You are the most selfish brat ever.’
Meanwhile, Ning’s original dislike of her other half doesn’t seem to have gone away in a further preview clip as Mark begs her not to give up on him.
He says: ‘I just hope you don’t base your decision on what everyone else around you is saying. We’ve worked hard to get where we are now.’
Metro.co.uk has contacted Nine for comment.

BTS have a very hectic schedule (Picture: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images)
The K-pop industry can be gruelling thanks to the music show circuit, the insane choreography they must master, and their international touring schedules.
But Big Hit Entertainment are determined to make sure that BTS’s wellbeing is top priority.
Jin has called the band’s agency ‘smart’ while revealing that a third of their time is dedicated to rest.
Worldwide Handsome started a V Live broadcast to answer ARMY questions about BTS’s long-awaited comeback, and used the time to reassure those worried that their schedules were too hectic.
Jin praised Big Hit for giving them allotted time for rest (Picture: V Live)
According to Soompi, Jin told the ARMY that Big Hit – who also manage new band TXT – allot two thirds of BTS’s schedule for work, while the other third is given to them for rest, or connecting with the ARMY.
He said: ‘I think that’s why our album has good quality. I think our agency has a good strategy; it’s smart. Our agency is quite smart.’
Snaps for Big Hit.
Jin also gave fans an update on the band’s comeback, expected on 12 April.
He teased: ‘The choreography is good, and the song is good. I don’t know about the music video as it’s not out yet. There’s something special too.’
The album is already smashing pre-order records – and seeing as their past two albums Love Yourself: Tear and Love Yourself: Answer hit number one on the Billboard charts, we’re expecting a hat trick.

Piers Morgan and Jameela Jamil are embroiled in a bitter Twitter feud (Picture: Getty)
Piers Morgan and Jameela Jamil are embroiled in a bitter feud on Twitter, after the Good Place star branded the presenter ‘England’s biggest s*** stain’.
Taking to Twitter, the star later shared a link to a story about his rant, telling her 706k followers: ‘LOL. Of course England’s biggest s*** stain has something mean to say about it.
Jameela hit out at Piers Morgan’s rant on Twitter (Picture: AP)
‘He thinks men who carry babies in a comfortable papoose where they can feel your body heat and pulse, aren’t ”manly”. This clown spews constant toxic ideas of “masculinity”.’
Despite not tagging him in the post in question, the ITV host managed to find it anyway, and replied: ‘Appalling that you just assume I am identifying as male tonight.’
Hitting back, she fumed: ‘You’re right, it is extraordinary I identify you as any kind of human being at all you giant pile of w*nk.’

Having the last word, Piers joked: ‘I’d rather be w*nk than woke, luv (sic).’
‘I do think like a woman in my head at times,’ the Stay With Me singer told her.
Piers has had the last word in the row – for now (Picture: Twitter)
But Piers was left unimpressed by the emotional interview, and mocked him on Good Morning Britain soon after.
‘Sam Smith the singer, he can’t work out if he’s male or female or whatever,’ he told Susanna Reid.
‘Okay, I’m now identifying as Sam Smith so that I can get his royalties. So this works both ways.
Sam Smith opened up about sexuality and gender identity in an interview with Jameela Jamil (Picture: Instagram/Sam Smith)
‘Sam Smith has millions of fans, what are they supposed to think? “I can’t work out what I am.”‘
The presenter revealed he was struggling to get his head around gender, but admitted this could be due to his age.
‘Is it a generational thing? My young sons don’t care about this whole gender thing. They really don’t care,’ he added.
‘They think I’m just an old fuddy duddy, “it doesn’t matter, why do you care, Dad?” I think there are so many ramifications around self-identity that actually are a real concern.’
Over to you, Jameela…

Now that Goggle’s Stadia platform has been announced it’s clear that the video games industry is about to undergo some major changes.
Microsoft and Sony are both expected to unveil their new consoles next year – with Microsoft trialling its streaming service this year – but even before Google’s unveiling there were rumours that Amazon and Apple are both considering their own streaming services.
But nobody ever mentioned Walmart before.
According to website USgamer, Walmart, who own UK chain Asda, have already been talking to developers about plans to start their own streaming service.
Walmart has supposedly been talking to both developer and publishers since the beginning of this year and at the Game Developers Conference were Stadia was unveiled.
Although the site claims multiple sources there are no further details and it’s unclear how far along Walmart’s plans are.
The idea might seem odd at first but Amazon are also a retailer and their rumoured interest in streaming is completely believable, especially as they own Twitch.
Walmart’s rivalry with Amazon has led them to invest more and more in high-tech markets, and they have a technology division in Silicon Valley called Walmart Labs and a massive data centre in Missouri.
It’s not even the first time Walmart has explored the idea of running its own streaming service, after abandoning plans for a Netflix rival earlier in the year – although it still operates the Vudu digital video storefront in America.
That may mean that even if they do start their own video game streaming service it’ll initially only be in North America, but at this rate there’s going to be more streaming services than there are video game publishers…
Pete Wicks’ confidence about bagging his date of choice for the Celebs Go Dating finale faced an awkward stumbling block, after he was rejected just before he was about to pop the question.
The reality show revolves around celebrities securing a date for the final episode in Tenerife, with contestants often having to choose between two potential candidates.
TOWIE star Pete Wicks faced a decision between Poppy and Demi, and looked like he was about to ask the latter if she’d like to join him at the Canary Island resort.
As Pete worked up verbal magic by telling Demi she was the nicest girl he’d met during the Celebs Go Dating process, she interjected to drop the friend-zone anchor.
Demi cut through the noise (Picture: E4)
‘I really respect you and obviously we do get on really well,’ Demi said. ‘But I don’t know about you but I do feel like it’s a friendship level. Do you think that or not?’
As narrator Rob Beckett cracked up laughing over the top, Pete replied: ‘I’m surprised you’ve said it.
‘Do you know what? I genuinely really respect you for that.’
Speaking about the exchange afterwards, Pete said: ‘Pete the pirate got pied! We went on a date and I really, really loved the girl.
‘But she went, “Actually, I see us more as friends.” I was unhappy, I got friend-zoned at the last hurdle, I got pied.’

Pete then gives Poppy a call, who agrees to attend the finale with him in Tenerife.
Things were panning out slightly better for Jack Fowler, who ventured to Tenerife with his date Kate and enjoyed hot tubs and champagne together.
Speaking to Kate, Jack said: ‘I feel like it’s so easy to get on with you. I don’t feel as though I have to dig for conversation. I feel like you’re quite chilled, I’m quite chilled.’
Celebs Go Dating finale kicks off Thursday on E4 9pm.

Mums Make Porn star Jane Chelliah decided to quit the show because her religion made her question the ‘morality’ of what they were doing.
The Channel 4 show was an experiment which saw five mums make an ethical porn film they would be happy for their kids to watch.
Jane, who is Christian, walked away from the project as she was concerned it would appear as though she is ‘sanctioning porn’.
‘I’m a practicing Christian and it was about the morality of what I was going to do,’ she told Digital Spy.
‘Nobody would have looked it and thought, “Oh Jane is sanctioning this one movie”, it would have been all of porn. And I just thought about the consequences and ramifications, and that is something I didn’t want to be part of.
‘I didn’t want to be part of something that places such a burden on young people.’

Despite her decision to quit, her creative input remained.
Mums Make Porn continues Wednesday at 10pm on Channel 4

Queer Eye fans have set up a GoFundMe page for Jess Guilbeaux (Picture: Netflix)
Queer Eye fans are proving they’re best ever by setting up a fundraiser to send Jess Guilbeaux to college.
Jess, 23, starred in the fifth episode of season three with the Fab Five helping to transform her life into the ‘strong, black lesbian’ she wanted to be, however they weren’t able to raise enough money to send her back to university.
So of course, viewers have worked their magic.
The self-professed ‘lumberjack lesbian’ was kicked out of her home by her parents when she came out at the tender age of 16 and was later forced to drop out of education due to increasing debts.

‘She [Jess] started taking classes at the University of Kansas as a Computer Science major but had to drop out due to debt,’ reads the page description, ‘Let’s send this smart and strong woman back to college to complete what she began and give her the future she deserves.’
So far an impressive $35,490 has been raised in just four days, with a number of messages of support.
One person wrote: ‘Everyone deserves a chance to succeed. Watching Jess not be accepted for who she is and losing the support of her family is unconscionable. I had my family’s support and I want to pass it on. She is worthy!!!’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘My family and I have donated because we were incredibly moved by the episode on Queer Eye about Jess.
‘We think she is an unbelievably amazing strong black lesbian woman. She is so incredibly inspiring.’
Jess has confirmed to Metro.co.uk that she has full control of the GoFundMe account.
Queer Eye is available to stream on Netflix.

After months of back and forth, T-Series has overtaken PewDiePie as YouTube’s most subscribed-to channel after the gamer spent six years in the top spot.
This morning the Indian music label had a massive lead on the Swedish gamer – real name Felix Kjellberg – with more than 33k more subscribers at time of writing. And the number is rising by the second.
Right now, Pewds sits on a little over 90 490 000 subs, while T-Series has a little over 90 524 000.
Over the past month T-Series has often overtaken Pewds, but it’s been by a few thousand followers and for mere minutes, before the OG YouTube king takes back his crown.
But not this time.
And with the vast majority of his followers probably sleeping, they’ve been unable to rally and get more subs.
Last night Felix seemed pretty positive despite being overtaken by a small lead, as he took to Twitter to tell his people he was still on top.
We can only hope Felix is currently working on something spectacular to take back the lead.
It all kicked off back in November when Felix hovered around the 67 million mark and T-Series came out of nowhere to challenge the title.
Afterwards, Felix’s fans and friends started a huge campaign, initially headed up by fellow YouTuber MrBeast, which aimed to stop a corporation from taking over the top spot.
The American vlogger – who’s best known for challenges which involve him giving away eye-watering amounts of money – bought newspaper and radio adverts, as well as billboards, to promote Pewds’ channel.
Logan Paul, Markiplier, and Alfie Deyes were also among the YouTube stars coming out in support of the 29-year-old.
However, a slightly more unexpected fan came in the form of political party Ukip.
Seemingly out of nowhere, the right-wing party tweeted: ‘Are you doing your part? Help protect freedom of speech on the internet by sharing and signing this petition against the EU Copyright Directive.
MrBeast initially headed up the campaign (Picture: @mrbeast)
‘Also, don’t forget to subscribe to @pewdiepie on YouTube and keep the corporate @TSeries from the top.’
Some unlikely support also came from Pornhub. In a very NSFW video, adult movie actor Indigo White urged her viewers to take some time out from enjoying her services to subscribe to PewDiePie’s YouTube channel.
However, not everything went smoothly during the battle, with the gamer giving up the fight at various points, the most recent being a tweet reading: ‘Looks like this is it,’ followed by a picture of a video game character saluting.
Only a handful of people have held the coveted position since the platform’s beginnings, with Felix following comedy duo Smosh to take the crown in 2013.
However, with a company taking the number one spot for the first time ever, it looks like a new era of YouTube is upon us.
God speed, PewDiePie.

Are you brave enough to pledge allegiance to Iron Throne before the Game Of Thrones finale?
If so, you could be in for a shot of getting a free Game Of Thrones tattoo – while watching the season eight premiere.
That’s right, Now TV are offing 100 lucky people the chance to get inked in London in celebration of the final series.
A number of designs have been sketched out by Lauren Winzer – the artist who we all thought had dropped a huge spoiler when creating Sophie Turner’s very own The Pack Survives tattoo.
The tattooist, who has inked the likes of Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry, will be there on the day at The Circle in Soho, London, with 16 iconic images for you to chose from.
As well as this, the studio will have been given Seven Kingdoms inspired makeover.
In a promo video for the two-day event, Lauren said: ‘Hey guys, Lauren Winzer here.

‘I’m super excited to be part of Now TV’s Game Of Thrones tattoo parlour.’
She added: ‘On the 16th and 17th of April I’ll be in London to give Game Of Thrones fans free tattoos.’
Holing up some of her designs, the celeb tattooist said: ‘So, come show your love for the Throne. Come and get one – I’ll see you soon.’
Taking place over the 16 and 17 April, fans of the show (who are over 18 of course) will be encouraged to book one of the 50 online slots before making their GOT pilgrimage to the parlour.
However, there will be another 50 walk-in slots available for those who like to live on the edge, and will be dished out on a first come first served basis.

Just last summer, Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, got her very own Game Of Thrones inspired tattoo by Lauren.
The artwork featured a drawing of a direwolf – the Stark family’s sigil – above the words ‘the pack survives’ and fans freaked out that she’d just given the biggest spoiler of the series yet.
But there is no need to worry, as she has since insisted her body art has nothing to do with what’s coming up in the final season of the HBO epic.
Chatting to James Corden on the Late Late show, the 22-year-old revealed the real meaning behind her tat.
She said: ‘It’s just a quote from last season but everyone figures that the pack really does survive, but it’s just a moral I like to live by.’

Gemma Collins, step aside – there’s a new diva in town.
Lauren Harries has taken a leaf out of the GC’s book by using one of her most famous catchphrases to hit back at her ex.
The 41-year-old split from her beau Bruce Hills last summer after a two-month romance, and now claims that a) he is begging to get back with her and b) had a fling with Kellie Maloney.
Lauren spilled all sorts of tea on her Twitter account about the alleged relationship between dental hygienist Bruce and former boxing promoter Kellie, accusing Kellie of taking her ‘sloppy seconds’.

The former child genius said in a video: ‘Hello darling, you can have my sloppy seconds, but remember, there’s only one transgender Kardashian, and that’s me’; before tweeting: ‘Kellie Maloney darling, you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about! You can have my sloppy seconds, how do I taste?’
And deciding to drag Bruce into the mix, Lauren showed her ex what he was missing by proclaiming he was ‘never gonna get this candy’.
The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate tweeted: ‘Stop begging to get back with me Brucey. Take a good look at this, you ain’t ever gonna get this candy babe. Enjoy Kellie Maloney darling.’

And attached to the tweet was a video of Lauren throwing off a fur coat to reveal a slinky white corset.
While striking her best pose, Lauren said: ‘Brucey, you ain’t gonna get this candy, babe.’
While Lauren’s fans were loving the sass, a rep for Kellie Maloney dashed her claims that she is dating Bruce.
The rep told Metro.co.uk: ‘She isn’t dating him and wants nothing to do with Lauren Harries’ drama on social media.’
Speaking to the Mail Online, she said: ‘It’s going amazingly. People can see how much we are in love. I fall for people head first but even this was a shock to me, to fall in love. My life has changed.
‘I never thought I would find The One, but I feel confident that it is Bruce. We get on so well and he’s such a gent.’
‘I know women shouldn’t change for the man in their life, but I like to make my man happy. I have to go out and buy leopard for Bruce. He loves it. I need a whole new wardrobe.’

This is a thing. It has to be a thing (Picture: Mattel/ Getty)
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’s Mayor Of Babetown Noah Centineo seems about to add superhero doll to the CV.
Wow, is there a lot to unpack from that sentence.
Anyway, the actor, 22, has been tipped to take on the role of the mighty He-Man in the upcoming Masters Of The Universe reboot. And we are so behind this. What a ruddy good shout!
It all comes amid news Mattel Films is teaming up with Sony after the beloved doll became a TV hero in the 80s, following his infiltration of many a child’s toy box.
He won over viewers in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before (Picture: Netflix)
Now they’re rebooting the flick – the OG one came out in 1987 – bosses are apparently eyeing up Noah, according to The Wrap, who forged a relationship with Sony due to his upcoming Charlie’s Angels role.
Hey, we can think of many people who would like to continue a relationship with Noah. A working one. What are you insinuating?
For those out there who maybe missed the whole He-Man phenomenon (surely, you’ve seen the Dirty Dancing-esque ad with Skeletor for Money Supermarket, right?!), the story is about the hero who hails from a magical land called Eternia.
When he’s not He-Man, he’s Prince Adam, who transforms into the warrior, with the best bob around, with help from his magic Power Sword.
In the 80s flick of the same name Dolph ‘if he dies, he dies’ Lundgren played the dude, while Frank Langella played his arch nemesis Skeletor.
Courtney Cox was also in it.
Who will play Skeletor, with that fiendish giggle, this time around?
Adam and Aaron Nee are directing the film and co-writing the new screenplay, the draft originally penned by David S Goyer, with Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.
Metro.co.uk contacted reps for comment.
