It’s only been three days but there is already a clear favourite emerging among this year’s Love Island contestants and that’s Curtis Pritchard.
The professional dancer has been receiving praise for backing Lucie Donlon to speak her own mind amid the Joe and Tommy love triangle drama.
As islanders and viewers alike became frustrated with Joe’s manipulative behaviour on last night’s episode, Curtis said what we were all thinking.
‘Really, she needs to think about herself! Eff the other boys because she’s tearing herself apart and she’s making herself an emotional wreck at the moment,’ he said.
Honestly, these people all only know each other a few days.
He did however impart some well-meaning advice to Joe telling him: ‘You’re a very passionate guy… In the end, she wants a bit of freedom.’
Curtis must be protected (Picture: ITV)
Viewers have so far been impressed with Curtis overall and it’s nice to see he is also the voice of reason in the villa where tensions are quiet high right now.
Fans have been taking to Twitter to praise Curtis, with one tweeting: ‘We must as a nation protect Curtis at ALL costs #LoveIsland.’
While another added: ‘Curtis is the glue that binds the villa together- we must protect him at all costs #loveisland.’
Another fan wrote: ‘Curtis is the sweetest, most caring and supportive man I’m in love #LoveIsland.’
Curtis is the brother of Strictly Come Dancing pro AJ Pritchard, who said he is backing his ‘loveable’ brother.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, AJ said: ‘I think the best way to explain my brother is that he’s infectious and everybody falls in love with him.’
So far, we agree.
And the dancer has already broken the internet when he admitted his favourite sex position is the ‘eagle’ and viewers were beside themselves looking it up.
Tonight’s instalment is set to see how the Lucie/Joe/Tommy drama plays out with the addition of new islander Molly-Mae Hague but we want to see more of Curtis and Amy’s banter.
Love Island airs weekdays at 9pm on ITV2.

A desperate Chris went to extreme measures for Billy Bauer’s attention (Picture: Netflix)
Black Mirror’s Smithereens left a lot of questions unanswered as the characters were left in a series of tricky situations with one hell of a cliffhanger.
Now, Charlie Brooker has given his opinion on what has happened to the complicated new additions to the dark and twisted universe, and what that means for the future of the show.
***Warning: Spoilers lie ahead***
So, Smithereens ended with one hell of a bang – literally – as a gunshot rings out and puts an end to a several characters troubles.
However, as the field Chris has driven into finally falls silent, we’re left trying to figure out if Chris (Andrew Scott) died as he wished, and whether or not he took poor, unfortunate Jaden down with him.
The pair were caught in a struggle for the gun the last time we see them, as Jaden tried to convince Chris not to kill himself, despite holding him hostage and threatening his life for hours.
Holding an intern at gunpoint, the episode ended with an intense stand-off (Picture: Netflix)
Meanwhile, a friend from Chris’s grief counselling, Hayley, is finally given the password to her dead daughter’s social media page, with the click of the enter button sounding off in time with the gunshot.
So what happened to them all?
‘With the fate of Andrew and Damson’s characters, that was always part of it – we wanted to show that the most important day in these people’s lives becomes a bit of confetti in everyone else’s life. It’s just a momentary distraction,’ Charlie explained to Digital Spy.
‘[Ending it that way] felt thematically right,’ he added. ‘So it was always deliberate. It wasn’t like there was a different ending written and then we changed it in the edit.’
Co-creator Annabel Jones added: ‘I hope it’s not unsatisfying, because I don’t think that’s where the story really is.’
‘Andrew’s character has already reached the end of his journey,’ she said. ‘As far as he’s concerned, his life is over, so it’s sort of not the point [whether or not he survived].’
After the gunshot, the credits rolled over the faces of the other key players of the intense day, and their reaction to the outcome – giving away nothing at the same time.
But Charlie added that he admitted that he was worried about what Hayley was about to find – with her sudden access to her daughter’s private messages potentially causing more problems.
He added: ‘Really, she’s probably just going to open another box of questions by going in there.’
Black Mirror is available now on Netflix.

Supermodels seem to be Liam Payne’s type on paper – and the feeling is apparently mutual.
Duckie Thot has sparked speculation that she is dating the former One Direction singer, months after Naomi Campbell broke things off.
Now that is what we call skill.
Fenty and L’Oreal model Duckie, 23, posted a picture from last night’s Cartier and British Vogue Darlings Dinner – what do you mean, you didn’t get an invite? – that has romance rumours flying, as she attended the painfully chic party with Liam, 25.
In the photo shared to her Instagram story, the Aussie, real name Nyadak, had her hand outstretched on the table, with Liam’s tattooed hand holding hers.
Just in case the inkings weren’t distinctive enough, Duckie tagged Liam in the picture – and people were shook.
Some non-believers suggested that Liam and Duckie were simply showing off their Cartier wares, with the Strip That Down singer wearing a square-face watch and the model sporting a stunning bangle – but surely they could have done that without all the touching?
And a larger percentage of people on Twitter were pretty impressed that Liam managed to pull Duckie after dating actual Naomi Campbell.
However, Naomi, 48, called things off in April, with a source telling The Mirror: ‘Liam and Naomi had a lot of fun together, they got on well and had a laugh. But it just wasn’t meant to be.
‘They are going to stay friends – there are no hard feelings with either of them.’
Duckie split from Kofi Siriboe late last year (Picture: Dave Benett/Getty Images for Cartier)
Liam recently dated Naomi Campbell (Picture: Dave Benett/Getty Images for Cartier)
Meanwhile, Duckie split from actor Kofi Siriboe at the tail end of last year, with Kofi tweeting on New Year’s Eve 2018: ‘Maybe my wife will reveal herself to me this year. Maybe i’ll become the man i’ve always wanted to be.
Duckie was a little more straightforward, tweeting: ‘Leaving all trash n****s in 2018.’
The Melbourne-born model first rose to fame on cycle eight of Australia’s Next Top Model, and in the last two years, has been slaying the game.
As well as modelling for Rihanna’s Fenty line, Oscar De La Renta, L’Oreal Paris, Moschino and Balmain, Duckie appeared as the leading star of the 2018 Pirelli calendar and made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut last year.
So it’s not hard to see why Liam may have a crush.
The pair partied with the cream of the fashion crop in London last night, with British Vogue editor Edward Enninful hosting stars including Jourdan Dunn, Idris Elba and new wife Sabrina and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in the Residence at Cartier’s Bond Street store.
Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Duckie and Liam for comment.

Drake has shown no love to Steph Curry or the Golden State Warriors (Picture: Getty, SIPA,, PA)
Drake is quickly losing love in California with a Bay Area radio station officially banning his music throughout the rest of the NBA Finals following his awkward courtside antics.
One radio station, KBLX, has had enough of the ‘disrespect’ and have decided not to play Drake’s music until the NBA Finals are done.
Announcing the bold move, Elroy Smith – KBLX’s operations and programs director – said: ‘[We] could not stand on the sidelines and accept Drake showing no love for our Golden State Warriors.
‘It is my joy to cease and desist all of Drake’s music on KBLX in support of a team that is loved by the Bay Area and around the world. Oh yes, we are proclaiming a 3-peat.’
‘I don’t know how much he’s on the court. It sounds like you guys are saying a lot… There’s certainly no place for fans — or whatever exactly is what Drake is for the Raptors — on the court. There’s boundaries and lines for a reason. The league is pretty good about that.’
Over the weekend, tensions between Drake and the Warriors escalated when he was seen mouthing ‘you guys are trash’ at Draymond.
Then during Game 3 of the NBA Finals last night, the Warriors were caught trolling Drake by playing Pusha T’s diss track, The Story of Adidon, while rehearsing for the game.
But awkwardly enough despite all the drama, Drake still has tattoos of Steph and Kevin Durant’s jersey numbers and was seen trying to cover them up during a recent game.

Last night saw acclaimed Shane Meadows’ drama The Virtues reached its harrowing conclusion with viewers left heartbroken.
The ending was a harrowing and emotional watch, with Stephen Graham delivering another outstanding performance.
All episodes of the Channel 4 drama have been incredibly intense, but last night’s revelation about what happened to Graham’s character Joseph as a child left viewers in bits.
Viewers took to Twitter to share their feelings on the episode and series as a whole.
One fan wrote: ‘#TheVirtues is a masterpiece in all facets. As a drama it’s emotionally mesmerising. As an aspiring writer, it is a template of excellent writing.
‘The soundtrack brilliantly captures the atmosphere the drama conveys. It is breathtaking and a must watch.’
Another added: ‘#TheVirtues is possibly the best television drama I’ve ever seen. Last nights episode was outstanding, heartwrenching, totally emotionally draining but brilliant.
‘I’m still speechless. @StephenGraham73 @NiamhAlgar @markohalloran @helenbehan @ShadyMeadows well done to you all.’
While another viewer tweeted: ‘It’s not often you watch a drama that is so tense, characters so heart achingly vulnerable that you find yourself unable to breathe. #TheVirtues is one such drama, writing and acting of the very highest order. An absolute masterpiece.’
Skepta has been praised by Good Morning Britain viewers for his appearance on the show after being awkwardly shoe-horned into the middle of the D-Day Services.
The Grime artist was appearing on the show to be interviewers over his new album Ignorance is Bliss, but mainly reflected on the 75-year anniversary which had dominated the entire episode.
Admitting he was meant to be on yesterday, he told Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd: ‘It’s a heavy morning. I didn’t think I would have to come and talk about my album just in the midst of this.’
Even Susanna was saying that it was a juxtaposition, Skepta added: ‘I was supposed to be on here yesterday, it would’ve been a lighter mood.’
However, he was bumped from the episode because of the coverage revolving around the Donald Trump interview.
At the end of his chat, after a series of awkward questions about his lyrics and the influence of grime music, Skepta decided to derail his promo chance completely in favour of remembering the 1944 battle at Normandy.
Skepta eventually cut chat about his album to remember the dead on the D-Day 75th anniversary (Picture: ITV)
‘I wanted to say thank you, rather than promote the album, because of what kind of morning it was,’ he told the hosts.
Adding that the album is already doing well so he didn’t need to talk about it, he quicklyadded his thanks to those who have backed the release already, simply adding: ‘I’ll see you on tour’.
Despite the awkward situation, viewers praised the musician for his humility considering the situation he was put in.
Good Morning Britain spent today in Ver-Sur-Mer marking the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
At the event, a memorial for the fallen and those who fought in the battle was revealed, as President Macron and Theresa May both gave speeches commemorating those who ‘gave us our freedom’.
Veterans who fought in the battle back in 1944 were also interviewed, with some explaining their pride of helping secure the British win of the war, while others admitting their time in duty still haunts them.

We’re three days into what’s already shaping up to be the most drama-fuelled summer in the Love Island villa and since Yewande gasped at Michael’s revelation that he once enjoyed a threesome, she’s been completely off the grid.
Has she been kidnapped? Was there an emergency in the lab? Or is Lucie Donlan’s love triangle just taking up too much of our precious time?
All of the above are a cause for concern for fans after she immediately became a favourite among audiences on day one. But day one feels like weeks ago, and Yewande, where are you?
The 23 year old’s absence hasn’t gone unnoticed and theories speculating over her whereabouts are aplenty:
Rest assured, Yewande is in that villa somewhere…
While the scientist appears to have barely made a ripple on screen, viewers are still aghast that she was the only girl not have been picked in the first coupling of the series, with former islander Marcel Somerville – who was also left stranded during his first day on Love Island back in 2017 – slamming bosses over this year’s casting.
‘The casting progress needs to change. They need to listen and think about who they’re putting in the villa and at what times.
Marcel Somerville slammed the Love Island casting over Yewande’s snub (Picture: ITV)
‘They need to make sure people match up in terms of their types, they put a bunch of good looking people in there but if you’re putting people in there that won’t form connections you’re making it impossible – especially if it is a person of colour, they’re making it seem like it’s a colour situation.’
‘As a person of ethnic background you do feel, “Is it because I’m black?” You do have that go through your head.
‘I’m not different from anyone else, I’m a human, I go to the gym, I have a good body. The only difference between you and that person is the colour of your skin.
‘For my description I said I was tall dark and handsome but that can mean something totally different.’
With just a few days to go until the first islanders are dumped, will we ever see Yewande again?
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Rick’s journey in the TV show and comics is getting even more complicated (Picture: AMC)
The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman has reassured fans recent events in the comics were not a reaction to the TV show, following the controversial death of Rick Grimes.
This comes several months after the TV series bid farewell to Andrew Lincoln’s portrayal of Rick. While he didn’t die in the TV series, with his journey set to be explored in a movie trilogy, creator Robert Kirkman has addressed concerns over whether these two decisions were related.
Writing in the Letter Hacks column ending the issue, Kirkman wrote: ‘I don’t like addressing the TV show, simply because it has no bearing on this series. The series informs the show, not the other way around.
The show is exploring the aftermath of Rick’s absence (Picture: AMC)
‘But… we did lose Rick Grimes this year on the TV show as well, though he didn’t die. So I feel compelled to state for the record that the events of this issue were in no way a reaction to that.’
Reaffirming Rick’s death has been ‘planned for a long time,’ Kirkman added: ‘I’ve said in interviews for many, many years that everyone dies in this story, and that even Rick Grimes won’t survive until the end.
‘While this was always Rick’s story thus far, as written about in the first issue, that doesn’t mean he needs to be alive to be a presence in the series. This is the story of a world, not a man… it’s the story of a world profoundly affected by that man, as we’ll see starting next issue, but it isn’t exclusively Rick’s story.’
Interestingly, Kirkman also teased how focus in the comics will shift to Negan, writing: ‘And with Rick Grimes gone… who will be the focus of this series?! I’ll give you one f*cking f*ckity guess, you f*ckers.’
This is a clear poke at Negan’s penchant for foul language. But if the comics inform the show, could this be an indicator for what to expect in season 10 when Michonne bids farewell?
Michonne actress Danai Gurira has largely remained tight-lipped about her exit from the show, hinting back in April how she’s going to be filming her final scenes soon.
The Walking Dead is expected to return later this year.
Baby Shark the TV series is coming (Picture: Pinkfong)
Some evil geniuses at Nickelodeon have decided to create a TV show based on the viral video Baby Shark.
You’re thinking of the theme tune now aren’t you?
The kids’ song from South Korean education brand Pinkfong is going to get an entire universe based on the littlest shark.
It will be made in collaboration with SmartStudy, the company behind Pinkfong.
Executive vice president of Nickelodeon, Ramsey Naito, said: ‘Baby Shark has captured the imagination of millions of fans around the world, so it’s no surprise it’s one of the top 10 most-viewed videos on YouTube ever.
‘At the heart of any popular piece of content is a terrific character, and we have a great opportunity to further explore the world of Baby Shark and follow this family through some great animated adventures on Nickelodeon.’
Pam Kaufman, president of Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products, added: ‘Our outstanding creative teams are moving fast to get more Baby Shark product across multiple categories to retailers, and our content team is excited to develop a terrific original animated series that will bring this property to new heights and even more fans.’
Bring more fans and terrorise more parents we’re sure.
Originally released in 2014, so far it has racked up 2.9 billion views on YouTube and is the site’s 35th most-watched video of all time.
It has a cute dance routine and a song about all the members of a shark family which involves singing ‘doo doo doo doo doo doo’ over and over.
Kids all over the world love it, including rapper Cardi B’s daughter Kulture, with the rapper swearing to take a break from the song after her little one misbehaved.

Marcia and Tom have both beat cancer (Picture: Tiffany Rose/WireImage)
Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross has learned that the same strain of HPV that caused her anal cancer likely caused her husband’s throat cancer.
The 57-year-old is now in remission after being diagnosed with anal cancer last year during a routine digital exam, having gone through three months of gruelling treatment.
And Marcia has now discovered that the same type of HPV, or human papillomavirus, a sexually transmitted disease, caused both her cancer and her husband Tom Mahoney’s throat cancer.
Tom battled the disease in 2009.
Now, Marcia is promoting HPV immunisation after learning that the types of HPV that most commonly cause cancer can be prevented by the current vaccine – with her daughters due to get their first shots at the end of the school year.
Marcia revealed her diagnosis to fans last year (Picture: Instagram)
She told CBS This Morning: ‘I know there are people who are ashamed. You have cancer! Do you have to then also feel ashamed? Like you did something bad, you know, because it took up residence in your anus? I mean, come on, really. There’s enough on your plate.
‘Even for me, it took a while. Anus, anus, anus. You just have to get used to it.’
Marcia added to People that she saw on cancer blogs that ‘a lot of people, women especially, were too embarrassed to say what cancer they had. They had a lot of shame about it. Doctors even were uncomfortable talking about the anus.
‘Since I’ve got very comfortable talking about the anus, I thought ok, I think I could probably help by making a little dent in that stigma.’
The mother-of-two, who shares 12-year-old twins Eden and Savannah with husband of 13 years Tom, is now appreciating life more than ever after her health struggles, and said she has taught herself self-love throughout her treatment.
She told CBS: ‘I’m feeling back to normal though it’s a new normal.I don’t think I’ll ever take it for granted.
‘I’m the girl who goes to the bathroom now and I go ‘Yes! It’s great what my body can do! I’m so grateful.’
She wrote: ‘So grateful and happy to be alive but sad that my hair fell out and is about 1 inch long now and looks cra cra.
‘Anyone else have #hairloss due to #cancer? Talk to me. I feel you.’
The star clarified that she was ‘post cancer’, writing on Instagram: ‘Hard journey, but I am healthy, happy, and more present and grateful than ever.’

Ubisoft are always a difficult company to predict for E3, because unlike other publishers they seem to enjoy unveiling as many new games as possible – as well as highlighting already announced ones.
That means they’re also particularly prone to leaks, so we already know about Roller Champions and Watch Dogs Legion (with a good chance of Splinter Cell too). But the other thing we know is that Beyond Good And Evil 2 won’t be there.
Rayman creator Michel Ancel has already said he’s too busy making the game, but his team did offer up an update last night, via a new livestream.
The stream focused on the fact that many of the characters are hybrids of humans and animals, something that was true of the original but rarely explained.
Apparently they’ve all been created by an evil corporation for specific jobs, with the monkey ones used to mine a dangerous mineral called Diwalite – a task that can often prove fatal.
Beyond Good & Evil always had a surprisingly serious story behind all the goofy-looking animal people and, even if you ignore all the swearing, the sequel seems even more so.
You’re cast as a space pirate and have the option to rescue and recruit slaves, giving you the chance to play as a hybrid or a human.
According to the developers the theme of the game is predetermination versus free will, and as a result while the original was similar in style to older Zeldas the new game is much more open-ended. Which is presumably why it’s taking so long.
The livestream also offered a look at the pirate base in an asteroid belt and an ancient computer named Primera, as well as some updated character models for some of the main characters.
They all seemed like relatively minor details though and since everything was labelled as pre-alpha it doesn’t sound like the game is going to be ready for years.
Beyonce and Jay Z’s date night was suddenly interrupted (Picture: Getty Images)
Beyonce’s date night with Jay Z at the NBA Finals last night was awkwardly interrupted by a woman who ‘invaded’ the popstar’s personal space while trying to chat to the rapper.
The Drunk In Love power couple attended the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Toronto Raptors at the Oracle Arena in Oakland on Wednesday evening, enjoying a night off from their children Blue Ivy, seven, and one-year-old twins Rumi and Sir.
Of course, the couple had courtside seats for the big game and were sat beside by Nicole Curran, wife of the Warriors owner Jacob S Lacob, who was placed right next to Beyonce.
It seems Nicole and Jay Z, 49, know each other fairly well as she seemed intent on chatting to him at one point during the game, seemingly to Beyonce’s annoyance – or so fans think.
As Nicole stretched over Beyonce, the Sorry singer gave her a pointed look before smiling politely and continuing to look forward at the game.
Still, Nicole persisted in her attempt to engage Jay Z in conversation but was herself interrupted when the audience erupted into cheers.
Guesses for what Beyonce’s thinking? (Picture: SIPA USA, PA Images)
It looked as though Beyonce wanted no part of that conversation (Picture: Getty Images)
After analysing the footage, the Beyhive have come to the conclusion that Beyonce was annoyed by Nicole’s ‘invasion of her personal space’.
One Beyonce fan tweeted: ‘Beyoncé don’t like that girl beside her at all,’ while another Beyhive member agreed: ‘Bey is not feelin her lol.’
Highly amused by the situation, one said: ‘Beyoncé’s facial expression had me weak,’ while another unimpressed fan stated: ‘She was ALL UP in Beyoncé’s personal space.’
Others joked that Beyonce had Nicole removed from her seat as the space next to the singer was empty later in the game.
Perhaps the date night was in celebration of the news that Jay Z has become the first rapper to become a billionaire.

Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin has confirmed there will be no season two.
Despite being a hit with critics and viewers, the miniseries is going to be a one time thing.
Tweeting out a news story speculating about more episodes, Craig said: ‘The definitive answer to the headline’s question “Will There Be A Season 2 of Chernobyl?” is “No.”‘
No doubt this will come as disappointing news to viewers who desperately wanted to see Craig’s stunning work continue.
‘If I came to HBO and said, “I want to do another season of Chernobyl, except it’s gonna be about another terrible tragedy,” whether it’s Bhopal or Fukushima or something like that, I would imagine they at least would give me polite interest,’ he said.
‘The disaster is not what drew me to Chernobyl. It’s the specifics of Chernobyl,’ he continued. ‘If I were to continue this anthologically, probably it would be another investigation of another aspect of Soviet life because that part is something that is fascinating to me and kind of exciting to view again.

‘It helps us reimagine our own paths, too. I’m a child of the ’70s and ’80s and my life, in part, was shaped by the existence of a nation that doesn’t exist. I wanna know more about it.’
The drama, about the real-life Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant disaster in Ukraine in 1986, has since become the highest-rated TV show ever, according to iMDb.

‘It is in part a courtroom drama, but it’s also a scientific inquiry. And I wanted people to see that these things don’t happen because God willed it,’ he explained to Vox.
‘It doesn’t happen because of bad luck. It doesn’t happen because you were doomed, or because of fate. It happens because of science. Facts.’
Chernobyl starred Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgård and Emily Watson.

James looks pleased with himself (Picture: BACKGRID)
James Corden made a rare appearance carrying his daughter in New York City before he joined Stephen Colbert’s show – just a week a confirming the return of Gavin and Stacey.
The Late Late show host looked in high spirits as he was in the city for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday.
Throwing up a peace sign to photographers, the actor who recently slammed a troll for attacking his family, was also spotted with his three-year-old daughter Carey who also smiled for paps.
The Brit, who moved his family to LA in 2015 to take over the talk show from Craig Ferguson, also shares one-year-old Charlotte and seven-year-old son Max with his wife of six-years Julia.
The star and Ruth Jones have confirmed that the Billericay/Barry Island gang will be reuniting for a Christmas special this year.
Past viewers of the much-loved UK sitcom have been begging the team to make a comeback ever since they were last seen on our screens nine years ago, so the confirmation on 28 May pretty much broke the British internet.

James peace sign reassures us (Picture: BACKGRID)
Posting a picture of the script on Twitter, the comedian wrote: ‘Ruth Jones and I have been keeping this secret for a while… We’re excited to share it with you. See you on Christmas Day.’
In a joint statement on the show’s return, Ruth and James said: ‘Over the last ten years we’ve talked a lot about Gavin and Stacey – where they might be today and what their lives might look like. And so in secret we took the plunge and wrote this one hour special.
‘We’ve loved revisiting Barry and Essex again and bringing the characters back together has been a joy.’
‘We’re so excited to get the chance to work with our fabulous cast and crew once more and to give fans of the show a festive treat this Christmas. Thank you BBC for helping to make this happen,’ they added.
We are getting some Gavin and Stacey during Christmas (Picture: BACKGRID)
A massive GoT fan himself, the 40-year-old was so hurt by the message, which was provoked by a meme about Season 8, that he chose to reply to the Twitter user who wished cancer on his child.
Last month, James could not seem to get his around the evil tweet, which ultimately got the social media user’s account suspended.
The disturbing message said that: ‘It’s f****d up that you can’t even watch TV without a fat f**k spoiling something…’
Despite the user admitting that he had already seen the episode that he felt Corden ‘spoiled,’ he went on to wish James’s son harm in a since-deleted tweet.
The shocked TV host replied by saying: ‘That is, without question, the single most upsetting thing I think you could ever say about me or my family.
We will see a revamp of this look at the end of this year (Picture: GOLD)
‘Please take a minute and think about what you just wrote and whether you want to be a person who publicly says such things. I believe you’re better than that.’
The troll then tried to dismiss it as a joke, but the damage was already done.
Corden said: ‘Well I saw your hope for my son. My hope for yours is that they never get to read that their mother or father would wish cancer on any child as ‘a joke’.
‘Because however, you defend [the joke] to them, they’ll never be able to understand how you could do such a thing. Night x

Chris is saying what we’re all thinking (Picture: Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic)
Plans to hold a Straight Pride Parade in Boston have been roundly mocked on the internet – and Chris Evans is leading the charge.
Nothing but respect for our Captain America.
The actor has lashed out at the organisation Super Happy Fun America, who are attempting to push through a pride parade for heterosexuals this August in Boston because ‘straight people are an oppressed majority’.
After reading an article about the proposed parade, Chris reminded us all why we love him so much and pointed out the ludicrous flaws in the plan.
The 37-year-old tweeted: ‘Wow! Cool initiative, fellas!! Just a thought, instead of “Straight Pride” parade, how about this: The “desperately trying to bury our own gay thoughts by being homophobic because no one taught us how to access our emotions as children” parade?
‘Whatta ya think? Too on the nose??’
Mic drop.
Only Chris decided to pick up the mic once more and drum home why straight people celebrating their sexuality with a parade is not the same as the LGBTQ+ community doing the same.
The Avengers star wrote: ‘Wow, the number gay/straight pride parade false equivalencies are disappointing. For those who don’t understand the difference, see below.
‘Instead of going immediately to anger (which is actually just fear of what you don’t understand) take a moment to search for empathy and growth.’
Chris shared a post from journalist James Fell who explained that as a straight man, he has never been perscuted for his sexuality, been called slurs or told he was going to burn in hell for being straight, or been sent to conversion therapy to stop loving who he loved.
Fell wrote: ‘It’s not a “Straight Pride Parade”. It should be called “I’m a homophobic piece of s***” parade.’
Super Happy Fun America is run by former 2018 Massachusetts Republican candidate John Hugo and Resist Marxism member Mark Sahady, with the pair claiming that straight people need an outlet to celebrate without ‘fear of hate’.
Apparently straight people are the oppressed majority and this is their flag (Picture: Super Happy Fun America)
Their website reads: ‘Super Happy Fun America advocates on behalf of the straight community in order to build respect, inclusivity, equality, diversity, unity, solidarity, dignity, social mobility, empowerment, sustainability, justice, awareness, intersectionality, human rights, education, access, participation, dialogue, visibility, tolerance, and alliances with people from all walks of life.
‘We encourage everyone to embrace our community’s diverse history, culture, and identity regardless of sexual orientation.’
President John Hugo said: ‘Straight people are an oppressed majority. We will fight for the right of straights everywhere to express pride in themselves without fear of judgement and hate.
‘The day will come when straights will finally be included as equals among all of the other orientations.’
The organisation has applied for a permit to host a Straight Pride Parade in Boston later this summer, although have not been permitted yet.
Hugo maintains that if they are denied a permit, they will file a lawsuit and hold the parade anyway.
Plenty of other stars have spoken out against the parade, including Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus, who is auctioning off one of his basses and donating the money to the Trevor Project in response.
George Takei tweeted: ‘They’re planning a “straight pride” parade in Boston, presumably to commemorate that historic moment when courageous heterosexual frat bros finally stood up to the gay cops who had been harassing and arresting them for decades’, while congresswoman and all round internet hero Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez asked: ‘Will “Straight Pride” be a Freaky Friday type situation where all of our history books, movies, stories, media, news, etc feature mostly LGBTQ+ people & perspectives?
‘Will people have to come out as straight? What would folks march in? Socks w/ sandals on? Dad jeans?’
And All Star hitmakers Smash Mouth simply tweeted: ‘Straight Pride Parade????? F*** OFF!!!!!!!!’

For Mayim Bialik it’s getting on your hands and knees to scrub your mother’s bathroom and being rinsed by family for being unemployed.
The 43 year old, who starred as Amy Farrah for the majority of the longest-running sitcom of all time, gave fans an update on her days post The Big Bang Theory finale and, honestly, we can all relate.
Alongside a picture of herself in sweats and clinging onto nasty bathroom wipes, she wrote: ‘Well folks. What’s unemployment like? It’s like being a plumber for my mom. Her bathroom sink and tub hadn’t been cleaned out in years and she called on me to do it. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty and I LOVE fixing things.
‘But I didn’t need her “How much do you charge?” and “Send me an invoice” jokes as I removed hair and slime from the drains 😂 . Everything is fine now. #moms #madrespectforplumbers(Warning for the faint of heart: the last photo is pretty gross).’
It’s been three weeks since we waved The Big Bang Theory cast off with a teary goodbye, as Amy and Sheldon won their Nobel Prize, Leonard and Penny announced they were expecting their first child and Raj got dumped, but got to meet Sarah Michelle Gellar so, you know, he’s the real champ.
But it’s now been revealed the finale was much more poignant than we initially realised as the Leoldon time jump, which saw the pair mend a shattered atom, was actually a secret nod to the 139 and a half hours fans spent watching The Big Bang Theory and the hours its cast and crew devoted to making it.
The Big Bang Theory is available to stream on Netflix.

The Da Vinci Code is getting a TV prequel series (Picture: Simon Mein/Columbia/Kobal/REX)
A new series based on the early adventures of Robert Langdon is in the works, the protagonist in Dan Brown’s bestselling novels.
Based on the novel The Lost Symbol, the third book in Dan Brown’s saga, the new TV series Langdon will adjust the chronological timeline of the books.
The Lost Symbol was originally set after events in The Da Vinci Code, but it’s believed this new TV show will take place before and will follow a young chipper Robert Langdon.
According to Deadline, the show sees Langdon ‘pulled into a series of deadly puzzles when his mentor is kidnapped. The CIA forces him onto a task force where he uncovers a chilling conspiracy.’
The series will focus on a young Langdon (Picture: Simon Mein/Columbia/Kobal/REX)
The series will be developed by NBC and written and executive produced by Daniel Cerone (Constantine), while Dan Brown is also an executive producer.
This isn’t the first time adaptations have played around with Brown’s timeline, with the Angels & Demons movie taking place after events in The Da Vinci Code, opposite to the books.
While the books have been a huge success, reception to the movies starring Tom Hanks hasn’t been so positive – with The Da Vinci Code (2006) and its two sequels Angels & Demons (2009) and Inferno (2016), all being negatively received by critics.
But will Robert Langdon find his natural home in the TV space? We’ll have to wait and see.
The fan support paid off and Netflix decided to produce season four, which seems to have paid off as it beat Game of Thrones to become the most binge-watched show of May.
Now fans are hoping that Netflix will confirm a fifth season of the series, so what do we know so far about a potential season five?
Is there going to be a Lucifer season five?
The success of the show since moving from Fox over to Netflix suggests that fans are likely to see another season be produced pretty soon.
Rafferty tweeted: ‘Netflix typically waits about a month to gauge how well a new release has done…’

His tweet suggests that fans could be finding out very soon whether a new series will be commissioned, and it all depends on how well season four performs during its first month on the platform.
Netflix has a habit of confirming a new season of series once it has an idea of the reaction of their subscribers, with vies and binge-watch figures playing an important.
Only the biggest shows normally make it up to season five on the streaming service, but as Netflix only took over Lucifer during the fourth season, it’s likely that fans will be able to enjoy at least one more new season.
Netflix has yet to confirm a fifth season of Lucifer (Picture: Netflix)
The actor recently tweeted: ‘You little bingers you… #Lucifer BINGE REPORT: “Lucifer” Gets Cozy At No. 1.’
Speaking to Collider, Tom Ellis seemed confident that a season five is on the way: ‘I feel like we haven’t finished telling our story yet, without giving too many spoilers away.
‘With any show you could ultimately finish at the end of any season, and you’re either left with a massive cliffhanger and people are left unsatisfied, or you get the opportunity to tell your story until the end.
There has already been plenty of season five teasers (Picture: Netflix)
‘I think that we would all love to come back and do a season 5. We’ll just have to see what Netflix says.’
The actress said on Twitter: ‘Let’s all give a HUGE ROARING thank you to @LuciferNetflix & @netflix for even swooping down & saving us!
‘Really all the thanks to them & the fans. So here’s to a #season5netflixlucifer.’
What does we know about Lucifer season five so far?
Joe Henderson and IIdy Modrovich have already teased some ideas for Lucifer season five, if it gets the green light from Netflix.
Henderson told Entertainment Weekly: ‘We have a lot of exciting ways, and one way in particular, to do it that launches an awesome, awesome season five.’
Modrovich added: ‘If everyone is speculating on one thing, we just try to think as bats**t as we can, as outside of the box as possible, so that people don’t get bored, so we don’t get bored.
‘We do have an idea. It’s an idea that when it came up in the room, we went, “Oh god, that’s crazy.” Then the more we talked about it, the more we went, “and brilliant.”‘
Some Lucifer fans have speculated that there could be a time-jump if a fifth series were to take place.
One fan said: ‘The worst part is that even if it’s only a few weeks time jump for Chloe, it’s still gonna be years and years for Lucifer.’

Who would be in the Lucifer cast?
Tom Ellis would return in the lead role as Lucifer Morningstar, along with co-star Lauren German who plays his crime-solving partner Chloe Decker.
Other actors who are likely to return for fifth series include Kevin Alejandro as Detective Dan Espinoza and D.B. Woodside, who plays the angel Amenadiel, Lucifer’s older brother.
Lesley-Ann Brandt’s demon character Mazikeen is also likely to return, along with Chloe and Dan’s daughter Trixie, played by Scarlett Estevez.
Rachael Harris is the last of the original cast who is likely to return, continuing her role as Linda Martin, while Aimee Garcia is also likely to appear again as Ella Lopez.
Ruby Rose has addressed the Batwoman backlash (Picture: CW)
Ruby Rose has responded to the backlash she faced when it was announced she was cast as Batwoman in the upcoming CW series.
The 33-year-old said she was criticised for ‘not being lesbian enough’ to play the first LGBTQ lead in a live action superhero series.
She identifies as a lesbian and is also gender fluid.
The highly anticipated series will see Rose star as Kate Kane, the woman equivalent to Bruce Wayne.
‘When I got cast as a lesbian in Batwoman, I didn’t know that being a gender-fluid woman meant that I couldn’t be a lesbian because I’m not a woman — not considered lesbian enough,’ she told Entertainment Weekly.
‘My initial response was “Pfft!” And then I was like, “Wait. Let me just figure this one out. How do I right this wrong, because if someone out there is upset by this, I need to know why and how to fix it.”
A look at Ruby on set (Piture: Shady/Backgrid)
‘That’s when I sort of said, “I’m a woman that identifies as a woman. I’m not trans. But if being gender-fluid means that I can’t identify as a woman at any point, then I guess I can’t be that.”’
She added: Maybe I need to make up another term, one that doesn’t step on any toes.

‘One where I can be fluid in my gender, but also a lesbian, because otherwise I’m not sure what I am.’
When the casting was announced back in August, such was the criticism from DC fans that the Orange is the New Black star deleted her Twitter account.

No, you didn’t read that wrong. Borderlands 2 has new DLC on the way and it’s called Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary.
The idea is that it’ll fill in story details that connect Borderlands 2 with the upcoming Borderlands 3, with the official DLC annoucement seemingly being held back for E3.
It leaked out anyway though, when fans found references to it in the Steam client, which offered the following description:
Return to the award winning shooter-looter for a new adventure that sets the stage for the upcoming Borderlands 3. Sanctuary is under siege, the Vault’s map has been stolen and a toxic gas is poisoning Pandora. Fight new bosses, explore new zones, get new loot (including an entirely new tier beyond Legendary) and join up with Lilith and the Crimson Raiders to take on a deranged villain hell-bent on ruling the planet.
Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary will get a store page soon
It all sounds pretty substantial for what seems to be free DLC, with the game raising the level cap to 80 and automatically starting new players at level 30.
Although it’s an unusual move for a company to support such an old game, after years of inactivity, Borderlands 2 has always been very generous with its DLC and developer Gerabox are no doubt looking to take advantage of the fact that remaster Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is currently free via PS Plus.
The new DLC will be released on Sunday 9, June, which implies it’ll be announced at E3 2019 – very probably during Microsoft’s pre-show media briefing the same day.
Borderlands 3 will be there as well, of course, and since it’s out on 13 September this year there should be plenty of new details and footage.
Borderlands famously sophisticated humour seems to be in full effect
