Top Gear: Chris Harris clashes with Paddy McGuinness over ‘cheating’ in emergency services challenge

Top Gear host Chris Harris clashed with Paddy McGuinness after he accused him of ‘cheating’ during their latest challenge.

The final episode of Top Gear will air on Sunday and will see Paddy, Freddie Flintoff, and Chris find out which emergency services is the fastest.

And where there’s a race, there’s a competition.

Joining the rather competitive presenters and the legendary ‘Stig’, will be paramedics Christopher Evans and Dave Stubbs as well as senior paramedic team leader, Steph Smith.

Each host will be paired with one of the paramedics, who are highly trained in emergency driving, as they take it in turns to drive a police, ambulance and fire car around Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey (to see which one is the quickest).

The winning team, announced during Sunday’s episode, will be presented with the coveted trophy and named ‘the quickest emergency service in the country’.

In a first-look clip, Chris who is stood on the sidelines is getting angrier by the minute as he accused Paddy and the other Chris of ‘cheating’.

In the trailer Chris Evans (the paramedic) is driving the car as Paddy commented: ‘The Stig is very poorly, we will have him back on his feet in no time.

‘Now straight away it was obvious Ambulance drivers will stop at nothing to get the job done, that’s it Chris, nip that corner.’

‘He’s cut the b***dy corner, cheating,’ Chris shouted.

Chris proceeds to shout: ‘He’s just cut the corner, he’s just cutting the corners you can’t do that.’

And Freddie couldn’t help but stir things up a bit as he explained to Chris: ‘The ambulance service is faster than the police.’

‘No they’re not, they’re better at cheating,’ Chris answered.

Oh dear, someone is a sore loser, Chris.

When they reach the finish line Paddy gets out of the car and exclaims: ‘This where the police are going wrong, we should be getting the ambulance service to catch the thieves.

‘Chris Evans, you have been the best Chris Evans we have ever had.’

You can find out who the winner of the race is on Sunday.

Top Gear airs on Sunday at 8pm on BBC Two.

Cheryl was ‘feeling nostalgic’ as she reminded us all of her childhood as a ballet dancer in a super cute throwback snap.

The singer is currently preparing for the semi-finals of The Greatest Dancer, and she has two acts left on the show – duo Lily and Joseph and dance troupe Brothers Of Dance.

But first, Cheryl chose to take us down memory lane ahead of tonight’s show.

Taking to Instagram, Cheryl shared a picture of her as a child, attempting her best ballet moves mid-jump, while wearing a white tutu.

‘@greatestdancer tonight at 6:30pm,’ she wrote. ‘Feeling nostalgic. Join us for the semi finals to see who will make it through.’

Among her celeb pals who commented included one of her best friends, Kimberley Walsh, who wrote: ‘Brilliant picture’, alongside a heart eyed emoji.

Meanwhile, The Greatest Dancer host Alesha Dixon was also feeling the cuteness, as she commented: ‘So cute’, with a red heart emoji.

While her fellow Greatest Dancer judge Matthew Morrison added: ‘Dimples all day!!’

We certainly have to agree.

Cheryl notably attended the Royal Ballet School in London at the age of nine, after a local newspaper raised funds for her to attend.

And since then, she has continued to impress fans with her epic dance moves – and recently, we saw her rehearsing for an intense looking routine with Diversity for an episode of The Greatest Dancer earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Cheryl also recently revealed that she had figured out that her bestie Nicola Roberts was the Queen Bee on The Masked Singer before she even sang.

The 36-year-old revealed that it only took one advert for her to work out that her Girls Aloud bandmate was behind the mask.

Speaking to The Sun, Nicola – who went on to the win the ITV series – revealed: ‘As soon as the Masked Singer advert was released, Cheryl texted me saying, “That’s you on the Masked Singer”.

‘I responded, “No it’s not. I haven’t even seen the advert”. Luckily she bought it.’

But it wasn’t long until Cheryl managed to suss her out after she finally heard her sing during the show’s first episode – after all, they had known each other and been in a girl group for such a long time.

Nicola added: ‘When the first episode came on, both she and Kimberley [Walsh] called me and said, “I don’t know how you think you can lie to us, we know it’s you,” but I kept denying it.

‘Of course, they were the only ones who would recognise my voice, as we were in each other’s pockets for so long.’

Caroline Flack’s former co-star Matt Richardson has opened up about their friendship, explaining the late star was often ‘suspicious’ of people.

The Love Island host died by suicide on 15 February, aged 40.

And, speaking about their ‘complicated’ relationship, the Xtra Factor host recalled the ‘complicated’ time they spent together, branding her death a ‘shame’.

‘It’s such a shame that it ended the way it did. I always thought she was dealing with it all, but obviously not,’ he told Barnaby Slater during a stint on the Almost Famous podcast.

‘I can’t sit here and pretend our working relationship was plain sailing. We argued a lot and fell out a lot.

‘But we sit down and we’d really talk it out. She could be difficult and stubborn sometimes. We pushed back against each other.

‘She was a complicated person. She was very loyal, she was super kind. ‘

The 28-year-old continued: ‘She was very suspicious of people. There were a few times I would be out and she would text me.

‘I would say, “come out” and she’d be a bit offish with my mates because she didn’t trust them. I said, “look I’ve known them since I was six, it’s okay” and then she’d be fine.

‘But it was because she’d been messed around so much, she could be stand-offish with people.’

https://www.instagram.com/p/BzScmf_AU_i/

Matt also claimed that, during their time presenting Xtra Factor together, Caroline would become sucked in to reading feedback about her performances on Twitter.

And, despite advising her to keep clear of social media, she would constantly check comments.

‘Even back then I would really disagree with her with it because as soon as the break happened, she would be on her phone and looking,’ he said.

‘Caroline always found it and it would really ruin her night, even if we had a great show.

‘It was frustrating, she’s always had a thick skin, but there’s only so much you can take before it wears you down.’

The late host took her own life earlier this month, with tributes and messages of support flooding in from around the world.

And the BBC was recently forced to defend themselves over the coverage, after unhappy viewers complained that they focussed ‘too much’ on the tragic news.

According to the website, it received several complaints from viewers ‘who felt there was too much news coverage of the death of TV presenter, Caroline Flack’.

The number of complaints has not been disclosed, but Metro.co.uk understands they have received more than 100 from viewers.

Defending the coverage, the corporation said: ‘We believe this was a considerable and newsworthy story, given Caroline Flack’s notable career in the media industry, and the circumstances leading up to her tragic and sudden death.

‘We recognise that not everyone will agree with the decisions taken by our news editors, but would stress other major stories were also given prominence including Storm Dennis and coronavirus.’

Ariana Grande is said to be ‘unbothered’ by Pete Davidson seemingly shading her and making comments about her ‘painting her skin brown’.

The comedian notably made a dig at his ex during his standup set on his Netflix special Alive From New York, referring to her August 2019 interview with Vogue magazine, in which she hailed their romance as ‘a distraction’ and being ‘frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic’.

In response, Pete said: ‘My career would be over tomorrow if I spray-painted myself brown and hopped on the cover of Vogue magazine and just started s****ing on my ex.’

But Ariana is reportedly ‘not paying attention’ to what he has to say, according to a source from Hollywood Life.

‘Ariana is unbothered by Pete’s jokes, she’s really not paying attention,’ the source said. ‘She is working on new music so she could easily slip something into a song but as of now it’s not really impacting her so it’s not likely it will make it into her music.

‘Right now she’s in a really good headspace and really isn’t interested in any kind of negativity. She’s enjoying life and focusing on all the great stuff in her life.’

A further source told the publication that Ari is ‘taking the high road on everything Pete has said’ as she understands that he is ‘just doing his job’.

It comes after Pete previously revealed that he knew his relationship with the singer ‘was over’ when her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller died in September 2018 at the age of 26.

The Saturday Night star had opened up about his engagement to Ariana, which lasted between June and October 2018, and how watching her grieve for her ex-partner had affected him.

‘I totally got it,’ he said during a chat with Charlamagne Tha God. ‘I totally got it. She would even tell you this. I was like, “Listen, I get it, do whatever you’ve got to do, I’ll be here”.

‘I think I said, “I’ll be here until you don’t want me to be here.” I pretty much knew it was around over after that.

‘That was really horrible, and I can’t imagine what that s**t is like.

‘All I do know is that she really loved the s**t out of him, and she wasn’t putting on a show or anything. That was f**ked up. Prayers to his family and all of his friends.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Ariana and Pete for comment.

Who’s going to mentor the next Voice champion? (Picture: Joel Anderson/ITV/REX)

The Voice UK continues its Battle Rounds tonight, with the judges’ picks going head to head to earn a place on a team.

Last week’s battles saw Olly Murs make what viewers are calling the wrong decision, putting Alan Chan through over Bleu Woodward so tonight could see plenty more shocks and surprises.

One person who knows the ups and downs of competing on the show is last year’s winner. As we wait to find out who will be crowned the victor this year, here’s who won The Voice last year and where are they now.

Who won The Voice 2019?

Molly Hocking won last year’s series of the voice, pipping Deana Walmsley in a tense final.

Molly’s rendition of I’ll Never Love Again was the final deciding factor for viewers at home to pick the 19-year-old as their champion.

Molly, who was on Team Olly, said of her win ‘All I can say is thank you and from the bottom of my heart I am so, so shocked. I just love you all’.

Her mentor Olly celebrated her win – and his first win as a judge on the show – by stripping off.

Ant and Dec were back with the first series of Saturday Night Takeaway since 2018 last week, and fans had certainly missed the show.

It’s not hard to see why the show was so missed – last week’s episode had Hollywood A-lister Mark Wahlberg carry out a ‘cringe’ challenge and saw a deserving couple move into a £260k home.

Another thing fans missed during the show’s hiatus was the catchy theme song that’s been used for the show’s 16 season run. If you just can’t get that bop out of your head, here’s a reminder of when it came out and who sings it.

Who sings the theme song from Saturday Night Takeaway?

The song, (I Just Can’t Wait Till) Saturday as featured on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is performed by 100% featuring Jennifer
John.

The song was recorded in 2004 and reached a UK chart peak of number 28.

However, the song is actually a cover.

The original track was recorded by soul artist Norma Jean Wright in 1978.

The song was written by none other than Chic frontman and disco legend Nile Rodgers, along with Bernard Edwards and Bobby Carter.

Norma Jean Wright’s original version was a hit in its own right, and inspired several covers including a version by East 57th St featuring Donna Allen in 1997 and the version used by Ant and Dec.

You can listen to the track tonight as Saturday Night Takeaway continues with its 16th season, featuring heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua.

Congratulations to Ola and James Jordan, who are parents for the first time after welcoming their baby daughter.

The new mum confirmed the little one’s arrival on Instagram, sharing the first photo of their baby girl.

Alongside a photo of the newborn’s hand, she simply wrote: ‘She’s here and she is perfect. #mummy.’

While James shared a glimpse of his daughter’s feet, adding: ‘I’m the happiest man in the world.’

Right on cue, fans and famous friends rushed to congratulate the new parents.

Strictly co-star Neil Jones simply wrote: ‘Congratulations.’

https://www.instagram.com/p/B9KV6ytJPep/

‘Congratulations beautiful,’ Christine McGuinness posted, while Scott agreed: ‘Wow congrats guys amazing news.’

Zoe Ball commented: Oh my goodness. Congratulations mumma xx.’

The former Strictly Come Dancing professionals conceived after starting IVF treatment last June.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B9KV6ybBy9H/

At the time Ola, 37, suggested that their little one had already picked up her mum and dad’s dancing feet.

‘When we had the scan it was funny because the baby was dancing. I’m not sure if it was a cha-cha or a jive, but it was definitely dancing,’ Ola told Hello!.

The married couple first appeared on Strictly in 2006, staying on the show for 18 years collectively. James left the dance competition in 2013 – and went on to win Dancing on Ice in 2018 – while Polish dancer Ola followed two years later.

Ola and James, 42, described the pregnancy their greatest achievement so far.

‘We’ve been with each other for 20 years, married for 16, travelled the world, achieved amazing things in our careers: trophies, accolades, Ola won Strictly Come Dancing, I won Dancing On Ice,’ James said.

‘But finding out that we are pregnant is no doubt our biggest achievement ever. This is probably the most special and exciting thing that has ever happened to us.’

They have previously spoken honestly about their struggle to conceive naturally.

At the time Ola told Hello! it was ‘upsetting’ to talk about their secret fertility struggle as they had always hoped it would happen naturally.

‘James is also desperate to have babies and I just wish it could have happened by now. That’s the one gift I would love to give him,’ she said.

‘I guess I just thought, like most women, that I could choose when the time was right for me; that I could have my career and then have a baby when it felt right. But for us it just hasn’t happened like that.’

When the couple revealed they would be having a girl, James joked that she would be a daddy’s girl through and through, but joked: ‘She will be locked up until she’s at least 32.’

And they will be keeping to defined gender roles as James previously blasted the idea of raising her gender neutral.

‘In my opinion, it’s ridiculous!’ James scoffed to Celebrity Secrets.

However Ola added: ‘Don’t get me wrong, if we have a boy and he wants to be a girl when he’s older, then that’s fine,’ with James adding: ‘That’s his choice – it’s not our decision.’

PewDiePie has a new outlook on life after he and Marzia Kjellberg’s house was robbed

PewDiePie has opened up on the robbery which saw many of his wife, Marzia Kjellberg’, belongings get stolen when their house was broken into.

The couple’s home was targeted by burglars at the end of last year, but despite PewDiePie’s valuable camera equipment being in the home, it was only Marzia’s things that were taken.

He told his followers: ‘A few months ago, our house was broken into. No-one was at home at the time it happened, but it was surprising to find out, nonetheless.

The word about the break-in got around quickly, as news articles covered the event. Most people were very supportive of course, but a few people on the internet took the news as a chance to celebrate, rationalising as since I have wealth, and having to replace some items in my home is just a minor inconvenience really.

‘For once a reaction about me was made completely without my influence. Another irony is that nothing was stolen from the break-in – at least personally.’

He added: ‘Even my two most valuable items, my camera and computer, were left. Whatever they took was from my wife, unfortunately.’

PewDiePie – real name Felix Kjellberg – revealed that the burglary encouraged him to commit to getting rid of any possessions he was just keeping for the sake of it.

He added: ‘I had previously been decluttering in my house but now I finally shifted to a new gear. I got rid of anything I didn’t want, a tonne of items that I only kept because I didn’t want anyone else to have them, or at least take them, like awards, all items that had barely any sentimentality.

‘Things I had stored away, never to actually be used. If any item lacked value or utility, I sold, donated or just got rid of it.’

He then explained to fans that he had been reading about a Greek philosopher called Diogenes, who also lived without any possessions.

PewDiePie had told his subscribers in an earlier video: ‘What a week it’s been. First my house here in the UK gets flooded, pure panic for the past couple of days.

‘And then my place in Japan was robbed and they take all our stuff. Epic. I need to look at some blessed images on Reddit to know the whole world isn’t just rotten. Thank you.’

Breaking news of the burglary to fans, Marzia wrote on her Instagram Stories: ‘Our house was broken into and they took 90% of my valuables, from my jewellery, to luxury goods and special items I’ve been collecting over the years. It’s all gone.’

She continued: ‘I know it is very materialistic, and should be happy with what I was left/have. But I can’t hide the shock and sadness with all being taken away, just like that.’

What a throwback (Picture: Instagram/Getty Images)

Geri Horner has encouraged us all to ‘dream big’ as she shared an epic throwback snap of the Spice Girls back at the start of their career.

And honestly, the glow up is real.

Taking to Instagram, Geri shared a vintage picture of her, Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham all smiling and posing for the camera.

‘Back in the day trinity studios near maiden head,’ she wrote. ‘Singing, “We’re gonna make it happen”. #dreambig.’

Of course, they made it happen – the Spice Girls went on to become one of the biggest selling girl groups of all time.

Their debut single Wannabe, which was released in 1996, hit number one in over 37 countries, and their debut album Spice also sold over 31 million copies worldwide.

They continued to go from strength to strength, with their second album Spiceworld, released the following year, also selling a further 20 million copies.

In 1998, Geri notably quit the group, with the remaining members carrying on as a four piece and releasing one final album together before disbanding at the end of 2000.

The group have since reunited three times, twice as a five piece in 2007 and 2012 respectively, and they recently got back together without Victoria – aka Posh Spice – in 2019 for a highly successful reunion tour.

Dubbed Spiceworld 2019, the tour visited cities across the UK and Ireland throughout May and June, with dates selling out fast.

However, that didn’t stop the first date of the tour in Dublin from being plagued with sound issues – but regardless, the girls soldiered one, and made a few cheeky jokes while at it.

And although Victoria was not a part of the reunion tour, that didn’t stop her from wishing her former bandmates good luck before they took to the stage.

Sharing an picture of the band’s iconic performance from the 1997 BRIT Awards to Instagram, she wrote: ‘Good luck to the girls today as they start their tour! X VB #SpiceGirls #FriendshipNeverEnds.’

Victoria also recently shared her very own Spice Girls throwback back in January to celebrate Emma’s 44th birthday.

Sharing a pic of her and Baby Spice in their heyday, she wrote: ‘Birthday kisses @emmaleebunton. We love you so much! Xxx #SpiceGirls.’

These throwbacks really have us all in our feelings.

Top Gear presenter Paddy McGuinness couldn’t help but have a slight dig at former host Chris Evans during Sunday’s emergency services special.

The final episode of Top Gear will air on Sunday and will see Paddy, Freddie Flintoff, and Chris Harris find out which emergency services is the fastest.

Joining the rather competitive presenters and the legendary ‘Stig’, will be paramedics Chris Evans and Dave Stubbs as well as senior paramedic team leader, Steph Smith.

And this Chris Evans is in fact not the former Top Gear host (or the Hollywood actor) but a paramedic with the same name.

Each host will be paired with one of the ambulance attendants who are highly trained in emergency driving, as they take it in turns to drive a police, ambulance and fire car around Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey (to see which one is the quickest).

Paddy is of course paired with paramedic Chris and after the challenge, the Take Me Out host couldn’t help but make a remark.

In a first-look clip when they reach the finish line Paddy gets out of the car and exclaims: ‘This is where the police are going wrong, we should be getting the ambulance service to catch the thieves.

‘Chris Evans, you have been the best Chris Evans we have ever had.’

We are sure he is joking…

Chris Evans, the radio host, infamously took over the car programme alongside Friends star Matt LeBlanc as hosts following Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond’s departure, however, stepped down from the helm after just one series.

Paddy also used the chance to wind up co-host Chris Harris who is stood on the sidelines shouting.

You then hear Paddy add: ‘Or to put it another way, winning.’

You can find out who the winner of the race is on Sunday.

Either way, all these Chris’ is getting confusing.

Top Gear airs on Sunday at 8pm on BBC Two.

Fans were in two minds over the proposals on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway (Picture: ITV)

Viewers of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway were left divided after the show kicked off with leap year proposals from the audience.

As it’s February 29 – traditionally the day when women can propose to men (though, let’s be honest, it’s 2020 so just propose when and how you want) and several members of the audience got down on one knee.

Ant and Dec helped fans in the audience – and via video link at home – propose to their unsuspecting boyfriends to honour the leap year.

The hosts managed to pull off some incredible feats to make sure the proposals were a complete surprise, including enlisting one of the girlfriends to operate one of their cameras until it was time to get on bended knee.

While the segment was undeniably romantic, it did leave viewers at home divided as proposal after proposal took place.

Some were loving the action, tweeting: ‘This woman on Saturday night takeaway is proposing to her boyfriend I will cry’ and ‘CRYING LIKE A B***H AT SATURDAY NIGHT TAKEAWAY’.

Others added: ‘Saturday night takeaway wanna behave two Saturdays in a row they’ve had me crying it’s only been on 10 minutes’.

However, not everyone was enjoying all the proposals, tweeting: ‘saturday night takeaway is cringing me out why would u propose on national tv for some clout’.

Others added: ‘Saturday Night Takeaway is too much cringe tonight. I’ve downed a glass of wine getting through these proposals’ and ‘This whole leap year proposal thing on saturday night takeaway is top tier cringe…’

Some viewers thought it would be a great way to get on their favourite show, musing: ‘I’m not saying I’m desperate to be on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway or anything but I would’ve found someone to propose to if that all it takes to get on the b***dy show’.

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is on Saturdays from 7pm on ITV.

YouTube star investigated by child services after ‘beating’ daughter over ruined makeup palette

YouTube star Michelle Grace has come under fire for ‘beating the crap’ out of her two-year-old daughter, as ‘punishment’ for ruining her makeup palette.

The 23-year-old shared a now-deleted video on the platform, for her 1.1k subscribers, in which the toddler could be heard sobbing in the background, after being caught with her mum’s JSC Alien palette.

‘My two-year-old just got her ass beat,’ she began. ‘Because no matter how many times I tell her not to mess with my makeup, she never f**king listens.

‘I put it away so that she can’t find it. And what does she do? She finds it.

‘At this point I need a freaking safe with a combination on it to keep her out of it. She has ruined two palettes of mine, and one of them is being discontinued.

‘My hand hurts because I just beat the crap out of her. Not literally, but I taught her a lesson.

‘I know a lot of parents won’t agree with me but I don’t spank my child, unless I have to. Usually it’s just a pop and it barely hurts, she cries for like five seconds.’

Michelle deleted her YouTube video amid the backlash (Picture: YouTube)

Following the clip – which has now been removed – unimpressed fans called Michelle out on social media, berating her actions.

‘What you did is not acceptable at all,’ one said. ‘Good luck in the future when your kids want to come to you for help but are scared they’re gonna get the “ass beat”.

‘You need to rethink your choices and life (sic).’

While others claimed that they reported her to the CPS (Child Protection Services).

Michelle later shared a lengthy statement on Twitter, insisting her daughter is ‘not hurt’.

‘What I did should have never been done. I acted out of emotions and had a lapse in judgement,’ she began. ‘That being said, I’m truly sorry if it all came off the wrong way. It was poor choice of words and I admit that.

‘I should not have made it seem like materialistic things were more important than her because trust me, they’re not. I realise now where I went wrong. I love her more than everything and everyone. I always have.’

Revealing that she ‘gets’ the shocked reaction online, the influencer continued: ‘I’m a young mum and I’m far from perfect. But I am a good mum. My video and my clouded feelings didn’t show that at all and I truly am sorry.

‘I’m still learning to go this whole parenting thing. It’s not easy. I don’t think it ever will be easy. I hope one day you all will be able to see the good in me.

‘Yes I popped / spanked her. But not hard. It hurt her feelings but not her. When she doesn’t listen to what I tell her, I feel like a failure as a mum. Talking calmly and taking things away for short periods of time sometimes doesn’t work with her.

‘I don’t expect anyone to ever be okay with what I did. I’m not even okay with it. It was awful and insensitive. ‘But I hope that with the help and advice of others, I can learn from this, move past it to be a better person and mother for the future.’

Michelle explained that the incident is being investigated which means she can’t go into much more detail other than to say it is ‘happening’.

‘I’m not mad at anyone,’ she concluded. ‘I appreciate the concern and I promise to be better moving forwards.’

Oprah Winfrey takes a brutal tumble on stage during talk (which is ironically about balance)

Oprah lost her balance… while giving a talk about balance (Picture: Getty Images)

Oprah Winfrey took a savage tumble on stage during her speaking tour in Los Angeles, as she appeared to have some trouble staying upright in her shoes.

The chat show host, 66, was on stage at the Forum in Los Angeles as part of her 2020 Vision speaking tour, and was ironically talking about balance before she spectacularly lost hers.

She told the crowd: ‘So here’s my definition of what wellness means to me. This is my definition, not yours. It’s just an idea because you’re going to be defining it for yourselves.

‘Wellness to me means all things in balance, and balance doesn’t mean all things are equal or at peace at all times.’

As she spoke, she was walking around the stage, and lost her footing and ended up hitting the deck.

The crowd gave audible gasps as Oprah fell to the floor, and worried whether she was OK.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B9KWKfZg0Sg/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=embed_video_watch_again

Thankfully, she didn’t seem to hurt herself in the fall, telling the audience as she rolled over and sat on the stage: ‘Wrong shoes!’

Ever the professional – and to stop it happening again – Oprah then took off her heels and carried on, telling the crowd: ‘It’s nice to be talking about balance and fall!’

https://www.instagram.com/p/B9KSI2BDzpa/?utm_source=ig_embed

Well, it certainly is divine irony in action!

Oprah’s speaking tour has been helping audiences develop their own action plan for 2020, as well as bringing ‘influential trailblazers’ as her guests to speak to the audience about their own experiences.

The guest on the night was none other than Jennifer Lopez – so it’s a good job Oprah managed to carry on with the show like nothing happened!

Something tells us she will be doing the rest of her dates in flat shoes from now on, though…

Are Lauren and Cameron from Love Is Blind still married?

*Spoilers ahead – if you haven’t caught up yet, you’ve been warned*

Netflix’s latest hit that has everyone talking is the dating show Love is Blind, which follows couples who speed date and decide to partner up without ever seeing one another.

After a (for some very) short period of dating, the men were able to propose to the woman they fell for – and the engaged (yes, truly engaged) couples headed off to a retreat ahead of their impending nuptials.

One couple who had viewers rooting for them was Lauren and Cameron, who were married in the season finale.

Was it happily ever after for the betrothed?

Are Lauren and Cameron still together?

Good news, the couple ARE still together.

Despite some concerns after eagle-eyed viewers spotted the two weren’t following each other on Instagram, the couple, who were filmed getting married in 2018, are still together two years on.

Speaking to Elite Daily after the finale aired, Lauren confirmed the two are still truly, madly, deeply in love.

She is quoted as saying: ‘Yes, me and Cameron are still together!

‘Oh my God. We’re so happy. It’s just, like, every day we learn more and more about each other, and we honestly fall more and more in love with each other.’

The couple became instant favourites – with the show being praised for the fact that it shows a black woman being loved for who she is – but what happened after Lauren and Cameron’s wedding in the finale?

Will there be a season 2 of Love is Blind?

After the runaway success of season one, Metro.co.uk caught up with showrunner Chris Coelen to find out what’s happening next – and it looks like season 2 is coming!

‘We’re certainly talking about [season 2], yeah,’ he told us.

‘I think it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing people put to the test of whether love is blind well into the future.

‘That’s what I would certainly hope for.’

As for the chances of a UK edition, Chris is really up for it: ‘Absolutely! 100 per cent. Let’s make it happen, I’d love it.’

Fingers crossed, Brits, you might find your very own Lauren or Cameron soon…

Steven Spielberg’s daughter, Mikaela Spielberg, has been arrested in Nashville, Tennessee, for domestic violence charges.

According to court records, Mikaela, 23, was arrested early on Saturday morning, before being admitted to the Hill Detention Center at 6.33am.

Mikaela is currently under a 12-hour hold according to the online inmate records, and her $1,000 (£770) bail has already been posted.

Once the 12-hour hold is up – which is routine in domestic violence cases – she will be released on bail.

An official with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office told The Post: ‘Someone has already posted her bond; it’s a matter of her finishing out her 12 hours.’

The news comes less than two weeks after Mikaela revealed that she has started self-producing solo porn videos and hopes to get a license to be an exotic dancer in Nashville.

Mikaela was adopted as a baby by Steven and his wife of 29 years, actress Kate Capshaw, and she said her parents weren’t ‘upset’ by her choice of career.

She told The Sun: ‘I actually think that once they see how far I’ve come from the bottom I was at a year and a half ago, they’re going to look at this and go, “Wow, we actually raised are really self-assured, young lady”.’

She added that her line of work was ‘safe, sane and consensual’, and that she was only comfortable doing solo videos rather than having sex with a partner on camera in respect to her partner, Chuck Pankow, 50.

Mikaela added that making porn has helped her overcome anxiety and bipolar disorder, something she struggled with after being bullied as a child for her weight and famous last name.

The details of the incident which led to her arrest are as yet unknown.

Even though the final was filmed way back in 2018, we’ve only just been graced with Netflix’s Love Is Blind.

The reality dating show follows a group of singles ready to settle down agree to go on dates with strangers in anonymity-preserving ‘pods’ in an effort to prove whether love really is blind.

With the finale, which saw some of the participants get married and others opting for, erm, slightly different options, having aired at last, here’s what you need to know about when we’ll be able to get up to speed with what’s been going on with the cast members.

Is there going to be a Love Is Blind reunion?

Yes, we’re going to be getting caught up with where the couples are now when a reunion episode drops on March 5.

The official Netflix US Twitter account announced the news in a tweet that read: ‘The final episode of Love Is Blind premieres tomorrow! But the story doesn’t end there…

‘On March 5, all your burning questions will be answered in a can’t-miss reunion special hosted by Vanessa and Nick Lachey.’

After all of the buzz surrounding the first season, Metro.co.uk caught up with showrunner Chris Coelen to talk about what else is in store for the show, and it looks like season 2 is on the way!

He said: ‘We’re certainly talking about [season 2], yeah.

‘I think it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing people put to the test of whether love is blind well into the future.

‘That’s what I would certainly hope for.’

Katy Perry has opened up about her friendship with Taylor Swift, admitting the pair don’t have a ‘close relationship’ as they are both busy.

The pair ended their feud last year, after falling out when Taylor accused Katy of ‘stealing’ her tour dancers for her own tour.

The bad blood lasted around six years before they called it quits, and Katy opened up about where things stand now.

She told Stellar: ‘Well, we don’t have a very close relationship because we are very busy, but we text a lot.

‘I was impressed by her documentary [Miss Americana] because I saw some self-awareness starting to happen and I saw a lot of vulnerability.

‘I was really excited for her to be able to show that to the world: that things aren’t perfect, they don’t have to be and it’s more beautiful when they aren’t.’

Katy appeared in Taylor’s video for You Need To Calm Down last year, and she admitted that it was important for people to see they had put their feud to bed.

She added: ‘Even though it was difficult, it was important to make that appearance in the music video because people want people to look up to.

‘We wanted it to be an example of unity. Forgiveness is important. It’s so powerful. If you can forgive your enemy, that’s amazing. As difficult as it is!’

Taylor told Heart Breakfast last year that it was Katy that reached out to end their feud: ‘We reconnected a while ago.

‘It started when she sent an olive branch to, like an actual olive branch, to my tour – on the first day of my Reputation Stadium tour and I was like, that is not only really cool and really sincere, the note, but like, very clever with sending an actual olive branch.’

She added: ‘It was like a beautiful wreath and you could hang it, it was really so great. And so that was when you know I think for both of us it was completely like there was no weird feelings.’

Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway viewers complained in their droves over the Pussycat Dolls’ performance on last week’s show, with some complaining it was too racy.

And the hosts have addressed the furore on the latest episode, taking a second to mock the scandal – before some slightly awkward leap year proposals, that is…

Guest announcer Rob Brydon kicked off the show, before checking exactly what was required of him.

‘I do have one request. I saw the Pussycat Dolls on last week’s show,’ the Gavin And Stacey star began.

‘If you think I’m going to dress in a leather corset…’

As Dec, 44, interrupted and insisted they ‘wouldn’t dream’ of asking him to do something similar, he teased that he wouldn’t mind.

‘Let me finish,’ Rob continued. ‘If you think I’m going to dress in a leather corset and PVC boots and perform three minutes of highly explicit dancing, you’d be absolutely right.

‘All I’m saying is, if the script calls for it and people wish their girlfriend was hot like me, I’ll do it.’

We wouldn’t mind seeing that, to be fair.

The quip comes after the Buttons singers performed their new bop, React, on last week’s series opener, with Ant and Dec jokingly rushing to cover up their outfits.

The five-piece – made up of Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar – smashed their appearance anyway, but some watching on from home were unimpressed.

And a spokesperson from Ofcom confirmed to Metro.co.uk that 67 people went to all the effort to contact the telly watchdog about their performance.

Yes, seriously.
